I don't have a problem with this store AT ALL. Just with one of the employees there. His name is Peter. He was pushy and I constantly felt hovered over. One of the sales girls (I think her name was Katie?) was trying to be very helpful while still giving me space to shop but it felt like Peter kept trying to make his presence very known. I herd of this company from my cousin. I need a great pair of work boot and this is the place to get them. Peter was pretty much awesome very friendly and informative. They got a foot machine that checks for pressure points and tell you the recommended insole. There boot selection is nice all there boots are high end status with real leather and quality. If you want a nice sold work boot made for comfort this is your spot. If you wanna spend $60? Go to the mall they got plenty of crappy boots there for you. read more

From the moment you walk in the associate talks with you brings you what you want to try on, maps your foot, gives suggestions, explains the whole red wing commitment to quality and service and what's included when you purchase. I was in earlier today and Jason ( I think) waited on me. he was a pro, knew everything about the product line, and was able to work with me and the doctor prescribed orthotics I wear. Later I went in to pick up the new boots with the toe guard on them and the guy who gave me my boots back was just as good with the service. I was really cautious before going in there after reading so many bad reviews. but I guess I got lucky and the right people were there, or possibly the wrong people no longer work there. I no longer have a store around me. So i constantly go out of my way to get my boots conditioned. I even go adter work and bfore work knowing they will be done in time for me to make my school on time. This has been the only store i have ever gone into that tells me they need my boots all day to get them condition. After 10plus years that ive had redwings. I didnt plan on having to go back bfore they close to pick them up or even leave them over night. I wouldnt go back to thi store again! Walked into this store to get my husband boots. The sales associate was sitting on a chair looking at his cell phone. Didn't bother to get up when we walked in until my husband asked for a specific boot. The associate rudely told my husband that the boot of his choosing was not popular and too plain to be sold in his store. This man was lazy and annoyed and it showed. At some point I think he became aware of his attitude and offered to order the boots but then asked my husband for the model number. Been going to this store since their shoes were made in the USA. I have probably spent thousands of dollars here! Now that their shoes are all made in china, I've watched the quality slowly decline. The last pair I bought started coming apart at six months. When I went into the store, their response was "well, thats about normal wear". I love red wings shoes no questions asked.... last weekend I barely was able to make it to the store and the employees were nice enough to open the doors so I can buy a pair of 1907's. Since I was rushing I for some reason, maybe cuz I know they run big, asked for 8.5's, payed and left. Once home I tried them on and were too tight. I was super bummed because I was leaving at 4am the next morning to work out of town for a week. I left my boots home. Finally today I had the chance to go back and exchange them for 9's and I had the unfortunate chance of dealing with Jordan. Soon as he opens the box he inspects the boots and asked if I had wore them. Immediately I said no since the only time I did was to try them on and placed right back into the box. He didn't believe me at all and totally made me feel like I was stealing something from him. The whole time I felt like I was doing something wrong. He even had the guts to try to tell me to just keep them and break them in. They did swap them for 9's but not without making me feel like I just ripped them off. He asked his coworker, "what should we do with these now?" They said they were just gonna discount them. They sold me used boots and got really upset for me returning them not because they were used but because they didn't fit. No way would I ever want to buy from someone like that again. I think I'm gonna stick with the buy now button from amazon. They will gladly accept any returns I give them and still make me feel like I'm their most important customer. I've been using this company for the last 9 years along with 8 of my employees at an auto repair facility. I've brought my boots back to this facility and the San Bernardino facility for those 9 years to get the lifetime maintenance in the shoes which is basically cleaning them up for so I can be a professional in my line of work. Anytime I went in those 9 years I have never had an issue with time or availability to perform that work. Unfortunately yesterday I was in Covina eat my lunch with my wife next to the shop so I thought I'd take care of the maintenance while we ate. The employee which I had never seen before told at first it would take 2 hours to clean my shoes and mind you no one is in their store I repeat no one! So I told the young man how about an hour cause I'm going to be next door eating lunch with my wife seems reasonable. He agreed reluctantly with some attitude but no biggie I'm a professional in the customer service business I understand having a bad day but what transpired next is unacceptable. I go have lunch come back 45 minutes later to be told hold on 5 more minutes cause he claimed he needed to buff them out I said ok no worries. I get my shoes back walk to the car and low a behold not a single thing was done, so Patrick this is what I'm going to say to you and your owners you lost my business along with 8 of my employees due to the lack of integrity and honesty. Telling lies and not performing your actual duties is something you might want to rethink and possibly try politics cause there you can lie do nothing and get paid. You screwed your owners out of at least 1200+ every year! And also don't mumble under your breath as I'm leaving very childish and unprofessional. read more
