This review is not for the staff but the two stars for the overly priced shoes. Located on Azusa in a plaza with plenty of parking. Found parking right away. Was greeted right away. The price however, is questionable. A pair of kids Nike dunks goes for $74.99. Vans is a little over priced as well. If you need something now and willing to pay the price, this is the place for you. They have great shoes and really good prices. My son goes through shoes like crazy but he loves his Nikes and other pricy brand. I get there here and save a ton of money. There isn't a bunch of sales People following you around. All the shoes are out and no one has to "go in the back" to find anything. I love this place. read more

I went in today around 8pm chose to get 3 pairs went to the register and my card had got declined once so we tried it again and it didn't go through so I check my bank account and it showed that the transaction had went through I even showed them it went through and they proceeded to tell me they didn't get it on there system, so I had called my bank told them the issue all they could do is file a claim which is closed at the time, the lady at the register had told me I'm not the only one with this issue, I find it so unethical that if it has happened to other people the thought never came across to fix the issue in the "system" I left with more than $100 missing out of my bank account and no shoes smh‍not coming back to this place at all read more

Today I brought in my 83 year old grandmother to look for a new pair of walking shoes. We were good looking on our own, but we're approached by several different helpful associates asking if they could assist in any way. We took a few pairs over to a bench where we were greeted by Esperanza. The care and patience she had with my grandmother was beyond amazing!! She's truly a gem! Worst shoe store ever. Rude service, No Management Terrible selection This used to be a good place until they hired loser cashiers who are programmed to say " NO". No is a never reply in retail - I should know I used to work in retail. A pair of shoes was found but they look worn and used. Asked for a discount and the cashier said "NO". Asked if she can ask a supervisor or manager - "NO". So I left and went to a DSW where I received excellent service! This place sucks - terrible - how can they stay in business with people who work there that should not ? Went in to purchase a pair of shoes, the employee lady came over watch me try on the shoes asked me if it even fitted and stood there staring at me so very awkward they act like you're going to steal their shoes there horrible this place doesn't get that much service because of the people that they hire. Shoe City is almost like another version of Pay Less Shoes to me, but I'll usually come into this store when I want to do some window shopping. Also there is an awesome fish store next door that I like to visit with my wife. But Shoe City is still my 2nd option when it comes to purchasing some new shoes because they have a great selection, and the environment is always lively. ive been here a couple of times before and had good experience the people that worked there were helpfull . but this visit was a very bad experience i went in the store to look for some shoes for my son there was an older man that greeted us then there was an older asian lady she didnt say anything to us she saw us she was fixing the kids shoes she didnt ask if i needed help i asked her for a certain size in a shoe and her reply was WHAT EVER IS THERE THATS ALL WE HAVE like she didnt care. she didnt even bother to help me look there where no other customer in the store but me! i didnt like her attitude so i left i took my business to WSS they where very kind and helpful read more
