The owner shut down the store. His Pos system for ringing people up stopped working. He turned 2 other people away who offered to be rung up manually. I asked if I could try a shoe on and come back and buy it tomorrow. He respectfully declined. He locked the doors and asked me to leave. On a personal level I found him to be rude and unprofessional with me and 2 other customers. Nobody is going to boycott red wings as a brand cause they make great shoes. If it is true that he's the owner of the store, it's a shame that he will get away treating people poorly. read more

They will not stand behind there biot warranty. All they want to tell you is that its your fault that the leather ripped. I have been buying and wearing Redwing boots since 1991 and have never had the leather rip in the middle of the toe especially on the fourth day it was worn. I used Redwing boots for 29 years as a welder and rarely had a seem rip out from all the sparks let alone just a bare patch on the top of the toe. Ery disappointed after contacting my local store to no avail and then Redwing directly. If its there new special coated leather stay away from as far as you can. If it wont hold up a week it will never make it a year or more. I cannot express how disappointed I am over this and will be looking for a new boot store and manufacturer to switch over to. read more

If you need work boots this is the place to go.I have had a pair of their boots for 8 years now. I get the soles redone for 50 dollars when I need to.They also will change out the laces and re-oil them for free.I walked in here and asked to see a pair in size 9 1/2 they measured my feet and found out I wore 10 1/2. I had to go here to get my shoes when I started working at Tesla I was the first person in and there was one individual who was being helped by the older gentleman at the register. Very quickly I found what shoes I wanted and went to the front counter and asked for my shoe size, he kind of skipped over and started helping all the other gentleman were looking around the store even though I already knew what I wanted and I wanted to buy my stuff and leave I was probably in there for maybe 15 minutes when I only needed 3-5 minutes if he had been more attentive, another gentleman came on shift by the time I was checking out and I understand there's a lot of people in the store but nobody was ready to check out so I don't understand why this gentleman seemed so stressed. I needed new shoes for work and this was the closest store to my work. I told the guy I had a voucher and what is required in the shoe I needed. He asked my size and then offered to measure my foot with a cool gadget. He showed me what selections are available for what I need at work. The guy was really cool with showing me the shoes I was interested in. He was cool and had a good attitude. I was done in 15 or 20 minutes. I'd recommend anybody to go there read more

I have been coming here for years, every 2 to 3 years I get a new pair of safety shoes. They know their products and everything they carry is first rate. I can get in there get what I need and be out the door in usually less than 20 minutes. My father has been buying Red Wing shoes from this location for many years. He owns a gas station / mechanic shop in the area for the past 35 years. The last several years since we have been working together I had been wearing old shoes around the workplace but found myself slipping around a few times in the oil slicks. Last September I decided I was ready for a new pair of shoes and decided to get some nice oil resistant slip-ons from Red Wing. I went there and the associate was super helpful and made the purchase easy and painless. Fast forward to March and I noticed that my left shoe seam around my toes had come undone. I went back to the store and explained to the associate (Ricardo) the situation. He looked up my receipt and explained to me that it had been just over 6 months when I purchased the shoes and the warranty was only 6 months. He said that between 6-12 months they can exchange the shoes and give 50% off a new pair. I wasn't satisfied with that and hoped that he could do better. I didn't pay $140 for shoes for them to only last me 6-7 months. He looked up my account and luckily I had purchased my shoes under my dads name and saw that he's bought several shoes for himself and our mechanic over the years. He talked to a manger and decided to take care of me this one time since I was literally 2 weeks past the 6 month period. They got me a new pair of shoes and kept me a really happy customer! Terrible Shoes. After paying $200 for the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn, this store refused to exchange my shoes even when their policy says online that they have an unconditional return policy up to 30 days. When I bought the shoes with break-in and be comfortable, I am on my feet all day at my job requires a lot of walking. Not to mention the customer service there was horrible, they didn't even care that they have sold me a pair of shoes that were very uncomfortable another customer was satisfied after paying $200. read more

I was insulted by the store manager when I tried to get my work shoes with a $60 dollar voucher from my employer. He not only assumed that I was going for the $60 dollars pair of shoes but also told me that the shoe models that my company approves are cheap. furthermore he didn't even try to make a sale by suggesting me to buy the more expensive ones. Overall, they are very selective as to who they help. if you dress modestly be ready to wait at least 30 minutes before they attempt to help you even if there are no other customers. he discredits the brand of shoes they themselves sale by stating that the AllStarGrip Stye shoes made by redwings are cheap. My son was visiting from Texas and I wanted to buy him a good pair of work boots and this is the place - we tried Beck's first and they just didn't have the selection and there was no one there to answer our questions. The quality is very good and the gentleman who helped us at Red Wing Shoes was extremely knowledgable which was necessary given the requirements of these boots for my sons work in the field. The boots are not cheap, but they can be re-soled and they have really good warranties on their products and most of their boots are made in the USA. How many places can you say that about? Nice place. Seems like it was remodeled because the owner (Joe?) Told me it was around 40+years old. Staff is pretty friendly. I picked up a pair of Red Wing Beckman 9011's in around Augustish. I wore the shoes, and found out hey were a little big for me, so I sized down one and I didn't need a receipt. (Owner probably remembered me). The shoes are broken into and they feel great. The store is usually empty so if I need leather cleaner/conditioner I stop by and get helped right away. I would like to come back sometime again to try on some work moc boots. read more

I purchased Red Wing boots for a long time. I brought in a pair of Red Wing boots with split heel stitching to be repaired. The owner told me I have unrealistic expectation of the old boots. I told him that I resoled the boot through his store and I just want to it to last me till the soles wore out before I purchase a new pair. He could have easily been professional and just repaired the boots and try to convince me to a purchase new pair. He reluctantly sewed the heel and complaint to me he is an independent businessman and doesn't want to take blame for the poor quality of the boots. He sells nothing but Red Wing shoes and his store has a big Red Wing shoes sign outside so receiving customer complaint about the product should be part of the business. Otherwise he should put up a sign saying he is an independent owner and doesn't represent Red Wing. I still like Red Wing and continue to buy boots through other Red Wing stores but, I'll avoid this store and the rude owner in the future. read more
