Redhawk Vision Center is by far the best optometrist I've ever been to. Dr. Sonya is amazing and walked me through my prescription until I fully understood why I wasn't seeing as crisp as I should have been at night. I've been going to Redhawk Vision Center and Dr. Broyles for about 3 years. He's always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They are very thorough, adding extra tests and pictures but making you aware they're not covered by insurance, and not necessary--but very helpful. They have the latest technology, and as a pilot I'm very concerned about my vision, so I'm grateful I can get it all. I've had a couple of minor emergencies over the years, and Dr. Broyles has been great about seeing me right away, giving me a better diagnosis and medication than urgent care, and following up. I've always been seen within a reasonable amount of time, and usually immediately for fittings. They have never pushed their glasses on me, just asked if I wanted new ones, and they have no problem providing a copy of the prescription. Overall, great experience. read more

Due to lack of insurance I hadn't had an eye appointment in 4-5 years and I was super nervous because I hate any kind of medical appointment and am terrified of anything going near my eyes. Staff was extremely inviting, felt like a family owned place honestly, you could tell the staff actually enjoyed being there, which is rare and makes for a very positive environment. I had a lot of questions about the various tests they were performing as well as a lot of my own vision concerns and they were very knowledgeable and reassuring regarding every one of them. Doctor(s) Broyles are great!!! Staff was super efficient, friendly and budget sensitive. They had all of our insurance info ready when we arrived and gave us a printout of what was covered and how much everything would cost. There was no pressure. They didn't upsell us, in fact the glasses tech saw my son looking at the most expensive pair (of course) and brought out comparable frames closer to our coverage. Took my two boys for an annual visit. I only went there because they were with my insurance plan. I had two insurances and still walked out of there paying over $400. With two insurances! Seriously?! The girl even added additional charge without asking me and argued with me when I told her I didn't want the extra up sell. Ridiculously overpriced. I guess they have to pay for their new office. I usually go to WalMart. I will definitely be returning to WalMart and Dr. Guiak (?) next door, then submit to my insurance for reimbursement. They are reasonably priced and efficient. This used to be a great place, and for that reason I would drive down from Corona once a year for my annual check-up. But the last two visits were awful. From the rude receptionist, to horrendous wait times, to crazy attempts to up-sale, I've vowed not to go back. To top it off, they made quite a large billing error, which resulted in me paying over twice as much as I was supposed to. Went to Redhawk Vision Center about 2 years ago. Dr. prescribed glasses for My Wife including progressive lenses instead of bifocals etc. Ended up costing over$1,000. Just went to Lenscrafters for new ones and it turns out She has nearly perfect vision 20-25 and should only need cheaters when reading! What a rip off! I bought from Lenscrafters for YEARS. Whenever I went to purchase the glasses i would show them my insurance card and the customer service rep (several different ones) said that my AAA (Automobile Club) discount would give me more money towards glasses than my insurance. So, I used my AAA card each time and got my 20% discount. Then, a few months ago I decided to try RedHawk Vision. I knew I was probably in for a big bill. At Lenscrafters it usually took me a year of $100 a month payments to pay my glasses off so I was always paying for glasses. I went to RedHawk anyway and when they looked at my insurance card (with a close to $1000 pair of glasses) they told me that it paid for all but the tax! SO ALL OF THESE YEARS I HAVE BEEN PAYING $100 A MONTH FOR LENSCRAFTER GLASSES WHEN MY INSURANCE WOULD HAVE PAID FOR EVERYTHING. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO LENSCRAFTERS!!!! He explained it all, kept me engaged with a smile, was patient since I hadn't been to a physician in years. Picking frames wasn't frustrating and we found the exact match in under 10 minutes. I'm only giving a star because you have to. I used to see Dr. Pak, who was very friendly and thorough. Saw Donny this time, who is actually the owner but found him very condescending and trying to joke about things only made matters worse. I will not be going back since I know Dr. Pak has left. The staff has changed quite a bit too, some of the friendly faces I saw before are no longer there. I don't blame them if I had to work with that guy, I'd leave too. I actually priced stuff, and they are also quite a bit higher than offices in a 10 mile radius of them. I made a yelp account just to review this place. Terrible customer service. My insurance pays for one exam a year. I made my appointment with Cindy. I asked her to look up my last appointment to make sure it was covered by insurance. She assured me it would be. I cleared my schedule for my appointment. Got a call two days before that it was a month and a half too early and would have to reschedule. When I told her I had tried to confirm it had been a year, she just denied having ever made the appointment and hung up on me mid-sentence. I called back and asked for a manager and she refused to let me speak to one. What is wrong with people these days? Just apologize for the mistake instead of making the customer feel like she did something wrong. read more

Overpriced, poor quality, long wait. I have been a customer of Redhawk Vision Center for many years (as have my children while they were growing up). I recently had an eye exam at Redhawk Vision Center and was disappointed when they would not offer the customary discount for putting lenses in my own frames, even though they have offered this discount before because I have VSP insurance. It took two weeks for the frames to come back from the lab with shoddy prescription lenses that came with a hefty price tag of over $500 (and they were not even the recommended lenses (those were well over $600). Really? The lenses in my frames have tiny numbers printed all over them and are by far the worse lenses I have ever purchased (and I have been wearing glasses for most of my life). Sadly, the opportunity to maximize their profit margin has cost Redhawks both my business and my respect. I will never return. read more
