A dive bar in mitsuwa plaza that's open until 2am?? I'm there. This place is low-key, has a pool table and darts. All the fixings. It's really hard to find a place open this late on a Wednesday in Saratoga. My whiskey sour was good, they have some beers on tap. Full bar, they have plenty of tables for you to sit and chat with your date or friends. Prices were fair. Come check it out! read more

Great atmosphere and good strong beverages. The bar tender was attentive and friendly and I highly enjoyed the experience that I had. There were a few people I hit it off with and I could tell that this bar attracts some interesting and cool people. I will definitely be back soon to enjoy a nice night on the town. read more

My son and I went in last evening to watch the end of the Warriors game, and this guy started engaging my son in conversation - it started off as friendly, but it got more and more pushy and in-your-face as it went on, and I had to intervene and get him out of it. Then, a couple of minutes later, a couple of guys sitting at the bar openly declared that they were racist, which seemed targeted at us, and the atmosphere became quite unfriendly and hostile. Needless to say, we left immediately. I used to think of this bar as a good place to hang out, play pool and watch games, but I probably won't go back - too bad, I was thinking of getting a big group of my friends for a party here. read more

Not that I'm someone who likes to stay out past midnight (those days are long gone), but it seems like very few bars around here are open very late. So, I was very shocked to hear that there was a place that was open until 2am... and on a weekday?? I came here for a late Monday night drink with a friend upon her suggestion (somehow I made it to last call). Definitely a pretty low key dive bar that reminded me of some bars back home on the East Coast. Made me feel very comfortable. I was also pleasantly happy to get a very fun, unique sour beer option here too (Cucumber Crush from 10 Barrel Brewing Co.). The beer was super light and refreshing, and a great way to wrap up the night. Overall, the vibe of the other customers there were pretty chill and seemed very friendly. I'd definitely come here for a more casual, low-key drink to end the night with some friends. I'd love to come on a busier night to see what the vibe of the place is. They've got darts, a pool table, and it looks like at some point there was a DJ in the corner? read more

My ode to the Redi. This classic is a five star establishment. The people on each side of the bar are five stars. Whether it is salty dudes breaking balls around the billiards table, or local legends behind the bar...or people rubbing elbows at the bar complaining about refs....it's perfect for Moorpark and Saratoga. This place is run by people who care. The bar itself has an elbow nook and a padded wall for your knees. Purse/jacket hooks. My favorite type. Vintage cash register dating back aways. To the Old Homestead Peacock! Shout out to Rachelle. And all the crew from old peacock. Where is that bloody bastard I used to run into all over town? "At'll be tree twunty-faive" (that will be $3.25. But that's a story for another day. The point is the Redi is ready to support you and you bar needs. Perfectly. Just don't get your car towed. Long story. They'll give you a permit. Only one pool table shrug. Darts AMI jukebox. Food menu. Good food. Pinball machines. read more

If I could leave cero stars I would the bartenders where assholes straight ignored us , then one of them got in a fight with a customer over some bs , she was drunk while working and the other continuously ignore us , won't be be going back , the owner needs new bartenders that can control their anger and not drink on the job read more

As one of the only non-Japanese places in this plaza, I had to wonder what Redi Room was doing there...and then I saw it - the sign for $11 prime rib dinners on Tuesday night. Hard to believe, I took Kathleen W. here, and became a believer. First off, I was a bit confused because there was no menus or anything, but it's more of a local thing where you just sit down and can order a couple drinks and then the waitress comes over and asks you how you want your prime rib, salad, and potato. The whole dinner was pretty decent for the price, and the slab of meat was huge - about twice the size as that given at Applebees! Potato was quite delish also, with all the fixins. And man, that was some real horseradish...haha. And when the check came around, it was, as was advertised, $11 per prime rib dinner, tax included. Given, it's not the place for a family dinner, but for a place to get a filling dinner and some drinks with friends, I'd definitely come back. read more

Love the Redi Room. People leaving negative reviews about waiting for food on Tuesdays: 1. This is not a restaurant, rather it's just a bar that has food on one night 2. There is only one waitress --- so expect a wait. Don't worry it'll be worth it. If you can, get there around 4:30. If you can't get there until after work, make sure to come with your whole party. Finding seating may be difficult, but it shows that the food Is good! This bar received the metro's best dive bar that serves prime rib and I agree! :) read more

I usually come here at least once a month for the past year or so. We only come on Thursdays after work. I loveeeee their Firestone 805 on tap beer, it's my fav! When it's crowded, the service is terrible because there's literally only 1 server for the whole place. So be prepared for long waits when it's busy! Each meal is $14. The Prime Rib is what my friends usually get every time. It's pretty delicious most of the time but sometimes it tends to have too much fat for my taste. 4/5 The middle portions are deliciously rare, but the end pieces are well done so those aren't as good imo. The Blackened Salmons is SO GOOD 5/5. A large hefty serving of delicious salmon that's a bit spicy. It's cooked to PERFECTION. Moist, tasty, and evenly seasoned. My mouth is already watering just thinking about it. I can eat half for dinner and save the other half for lunch the next day. The Chicken is teriyaki pineapple and it is also super delicious and a huge serving. 4/5 The salad that it comes with is basic, I always get it with italian dressing. The slice of garlic bread is AWESOME and so it the baked potato with everything on it! It usually comes with sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onion and bacon bits. After eating, we usually play a couple games of darts. They have around 3-4 dart machines. There's also a billiards table, claw machine game and juke box. I want to come back for more salmon and check out their brunch of the weekend!!! read more

A dive bar that serves a Prime Rib special for $14?! What more can you ask for!? I have actually been coming here for a couple of years when the special was $11. The first time I heard about this I couldn't believe it. I am used to spending $30 on prime rib, so I was not expecting this to taste any good. However, thank god I gave it a chance! This place is awesome! Every time we come here, we always get the Prime Rib special. Honestly, they probably have other food here, but I have tunnel vision and all I can think about and see is the prime rib. The special comes with a nice big piece of prime rib, side salad, garlic bread, and a baked potato. The prime rib is a nice decent side and taste delicious. On some occasions it is a little fatty, but for most of our visits they were great. Also, I like mine rare and it always comes out perfectly rare for me. The side salad is pretty basic and comes with your choice of dressing, but is a good side dish because the rest of the food is so thick and hearty. I loved the garlic bread and baked potato! Make sure to get everything on your potato (sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onion and bacon bits), trust me, you won't regret it! Also, the garlic bread might be really basic or something, but I love it and tasted amazing. I could eat a whole loaf of that bread. The service wasn't too bad. It was a little busy and there was only 1 server working, so I could totally understand. Even though the food took some time, our server quickly got us beers to keep us occupied while we waited. I wish less people would come here, so I could have all the prime rib to myself! read more

I have been coming here for years when I come from Fremont to visit my parents. But today I was treated to the worst abuse and customer service I have ever experienced. The bartender was extremely rude from start to finish. I have worked in the restaurant business for 15 years in the past and if I owned this place I would fire this woman. $11 for a full prime rib dinner. Who can beat that?!? I came here on Tuesday with my two gfs and I was pleasantly surprised. My friends had gotten there early because we'd anticipated a crowd (due to other reviewers) and wanted to get a table asap. On Tuesdays, they have a prime rib, chicken, or salmon dinner each at $11. To start off the meal, we each got a side salad with our choice of dressing. There was nothing too special with the salad, but when the entree came out, I was amazed at how big the portions were. You can refer to the image I uploaded if you don't believe me. Anyways, I highly suggest getting it medium rare. Beware of the horseradish because there is a big kick to it. It cleared my nostrils immediately. And of course, you gotta eat big or go home. Get the baked potato with EVERYTHING. This was the typical dive bar so be prepared for a loud room, good food and cheap drinks. I can't wait to come back to try the other stuff. read more

Felt like I stepped into the mid-west here. Smack right in the middle of the plaza with Mitsuwa and all those other asian stores. Never even had a clue this place existed until my friend recommended the prime rib which is only served Thursday evenings. Seating can get difficult after 6pm, so I wouldn't recommend coming here in a big group. It is pretty small and has a limited number of seats. You seat yourself, btw. My first experience here was a bit of a letdown. We waited about 2.5 hours for our food. I have never waited that long for food. I heard from my friend that this was not normal and the reason why we had to wait so long was that there was a gas leak and the fire department had to come fix it. Safety first. However, even with that said, the people who came in, never left! This "restaurant" stayed packed all the way up until people received their food. I think that says a lot about this place. When we got our food, I have to say that the portions are large! Makes me even happier knowing that this meal was only $13 + tip. I love good food that's cheap. The meal consisted of a huge slice of prime rib (with a big pocket of fat, which we discarded), garlic bread, and a baked potato. I'm really glad I shared my plate with my friend, otherwise I would't have finished. The star of the plate was obviously the prime rib. It was delicious! Even though the meat was nicely seasoned and juicy, I would recommend asking for some Au Jus on the side so you can dip your prime rib slices into it. Just takes it to a whole other level. Yuuummy! I don't think I'd wait 2 hours again for this meal, but if it really is faster service on regular days, I could see myself becoming a regular here. My only complaint is that this place smells a little of cigarettes and water is not free. It's $1 a cup. Not happy about this because I believe water should be free, unless it's one of 'dem fancy waters. read more

CHEAP STIFF DRINKS. Lovely bartenders. And $11 dollar prime rib dinners on Tuesdays! They serve grilled salmon and teriyaki chicken too for $11 on Tuesdays. It looks delicious, but I haven't personally tried. I did however eat a giant piece of fatty medium rare prime rib. And consume way too much alcohol for my own good and I had a awesome time doing it! Too bad I live in SF and the drive is horribly long. Other wise you'll catch me here every Tuesday getting drunk and fat! read more

Like what everyone else has said already, get the prime rib on Thursdays! I suggest getting there by 4:30-5pm to secure yourself a seat and to put your order in. Expect to wait about an hour for it to come out so help yourself to drinks in the meantime. The atmosphere definitely has that dive bar feel to it. Mostly older folks frequent the spot along with the pool table, darts and jukebox. In other words, I loved it. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and just overall enjoying themselves. On to the prime rib, wow for $14, it was delicious! Big, fatty portion that was flavorful not just on the crust but on the meat itself. I can't remember the last time I devoured an entire baked potato. Come here if you're looking for good food, drinks and vibes and a cheap price. read more

Not worth the wait. I heard the place can get crowded so we came there around 4:15 pm, only maybe 5 people came before us. The lady came out to get our order a few minutes after that. However, the food didn't come out until around 5:20 pm. The room was full then. The lady just brought food to other people who most of them came after us. We had to wait until almost 6 pm to get our food served. I was so annoyed. We already made sure we came earlier than people, yet we didn't get served in the order that we came. They actually had 2 other staff in the kitchen who I saw just standing around. The food was good, but not worth the waiting time, not including having to deal with traffic. Will never go here again. I'll stick with black angus. read more

Every Thursday night's ( use to be Tuesday ) is considered prime rib night, although other patrons opt out for chicken or salmon. It is first come first serve so try to get there as soon as you can! D is the server, and the only one for that matter so if you see her running around, don't worry she'll get you just be patient. And while you're waiting for you food, you can have a nice drink at their fully stocked bar. The meal comes with a small salad for starters and the entree comes with garlic bread and loaded mash! Or you can substitute it with rice instead. It's a great deal. I could never finish my piece of prime rib. Very well seasoned prime rib at an amazing price. read more

Last time I was here we got so drunk we wasted about 15 dollars on the claw game trying to win the porno dvd. Don't waste your time or money at this place. This place needs to get better customer friendly bartenders. One in particular named Amanda will make this business lose customers and maybe eventually make this place go out of business with her rotten attitude and how she carries herself. I was a patron at this bar on Thursday evening and witnessed her in action that makes me never want to ever step foot in this place. This poor lady who look like she was just trying to enjoy her evening, had Amanda disrespecting her for no reason. This bartender was yelling out to the poor girl and calling her names like "cunt". It was uncalled for and the rest of us patrons were telling her she's out of line. I think this bartender needs to be fired and was way out of line!!!! Do not come to this place unless you want to maybe get the same treatment this poor lady did. I'm definitely, not coming back because my night was ruined due to this bartender display. read more

Diviest dive bar, i was in love. the karaoke DJ is a little gropey, but that's all in the dive fun. I sang "total eclipse of the heart" entirely too poorly. the crowd gets better the later it gets, or maybe the drunker you are. i went on a thursday night and had a blast. perfect for meeting silly people, and a few really awesome people. As you already may know this place is located in the Mitsuwa plaza. This place is really a hidden gem of san jose! THE ONLY NIGHT that is worth going EVERY week is TUESDAY! WHY?!?! $11 prime rib dinner that includes a fully loaded baked potato, garlic bread, and a side salad. It's not the best prime rib you'll ever have but definitely better than any prime rib for that price! ( i had a 9.99 prime rib in Vegas and it sucked!!!!) Seriously its on par with like...outback or better! If you dont like prime rib I'd suggest the salmon! they have that or chicken. If you read the other reviews no one really orders the chicken tho. haha so get the prime rib! Also the drinks are really reasonable and the people that gather there are extremely friendly! Its a place to take your buddies out for a good meal and alot of fun. So see you there!! Im going in an hour! read more

He said he'd order it again. Overall, this place is pretty good. I think it's an ideal spot for casual food and drinks with friends or a quick family/date night!

We came on a slow night too so no issues with drinks/food orders but I can see that being an issue when it gets lively(then again what restaurant doesn't have this issue when busy?). The bartender also struggled with very basic cocktails. A simple cosmopolitan and a lemon drop -- both extremely common drinks -- seemed to cause confusion, which was surprising. As for the food, it was nothing memorable. One friend ordered a smash burger that was so smashed it included the bun, which I've never seen before. The wings I ordered were small and underwhelming -- five wings for $15 felt overpriced and disappointing. Overall, I don't understand how this place has a 4.5-star rating on Yelp. I left pretty disappointed. The only thing that seems to keep people coming back is the scantily clad servers rather than the food or service.
