A drive thru convenience store?! I haven't seen one of these since I was a child. I obviously had to go through and I loved the nostalgia of it for me. I've been through twice now and the service is always amazing! They're super helpful and friendly and quick to greet you. There is a $1 car wash on the same property, right behind the store. So one of the selling points to living in Redlands is the Redlands Drive Thru Dairy. These guys are always stocked with the essentials and I can't rave enough about the fact that they. are not only conviently located in downtown Redlands, but also that they give you top service. The employees are friendly considering that they tend to be high school students. They take the time to look for anything that you may request, and if they don't carry it they do talk with the owners where there is enough demand for an item. The owner is out of the world awesome, she makes a point to always interact with my daughter every time that we stop by for a snack or a drink on our way to/from school. If there is one reason why we keep coming back, outside of the fact that they are a drive through grocery store, is their amazing customer service! read more

Just went thru the dairy, and I do every week for 30 plus years...but today the owner was in a bad mood and took it out on me and my kids. He said "next time you come here why don't you bring a list so I don't have to be running around for your kids" then he said "do you think I like going back and forth for your kids". My kids literally ordered a drink and snack each. He was very aggressive and rude. read more

Friendly neighborhood dairy. I've moved from the area but miss the convenience of this place. There's often a line but they have regular staff (mostly high school aged kids) so the line moves fairly quickly. There's also a self-serve car wash in the lot. I've been living in Redlands for about 5 years now and I've used this drive-thru dairy many many times prior to the current owners, that being said I also know that it's more or less like paying the price for a convenience store to do a drive-thru dairy apparently. But when I pulled up and was waiting for the man who was on his phone obviously the owner, who approached my car still on his phone I asked for two one gallon jugs of their altadena generic water and he proceeded to give me the gallons I put him in my car and then I asked how much were they, he told me they were $2 a gallon which is basically double where you would buy a gallon of any other water any other place of a generic type brand. then when I was saying it's $2 a gallon he snapped back and said yes they're $2 a gallon,in a sarcastic tone, still on his phone the entire time. For me I won't be back simply because of the service I received, not so much even as the price which was double as I indicated before.. in my opinion Lowe's should have charged them double the price for their brand new door that they got for free since that's what he does to his community.. Won't be back ever until it's sold to someone else. read more

We need more of these. People, please use this service. You drive in, get your milk, oft drinks, juice, beer, ice, chips, etc. and you drive out. In 10 years these guys have ALWAYS had amazing service. That's impossible to find nowadays. Just friendly, nice service. I wish they carried a better red wine though and cigars. Check it out, people. I dread the day this delightful dairy is gone. The young men are so polite and helpful. Getting ice cream ,that I don't need but can't live without, is so easy. I sit in the car and it is guiltlessly handed to me! Also, the prices are competitive. Large bags of ice , milk, bread and more are readily available. I recently drove thru to buy a pack of hamburger buns. They can only get them delivered in packs in packs of 16. There cost about $3.00. Really! What a deal. There are few drive thru "stores" left in this state and we are fortunate enough to have a great one! read more

Just washed My car here and I'm very dissapointed I spent 14 bucks to fully wash my car because the time runs out so fast, and I have a small car to begin with so I can imagine how much more bigger cars spend, and the instructions are not easy to follow but learned my lesson ain't coming back here. read more

The drive thru dairy in Redlands has always been a great place to pick up those little things you need, without leaving the car. I am sad to say that my visit there the other day will be my last. WOW this place has really raised their prices. Yesterday i drove thru and got a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread, didn't think anything about it. The clerk took my ATM card without stating what the price was, which is not unusual.......today i see the gallon of milk and loaf of bread is now $10.57. A few weeks ago, i paid a little over $7.............I will no longer use this place and am going to share this info with all my family and friends.....as they say....word of mouth is the best advertisement. How sad that the small businesses we are all trying to help out during this pandemic are now price gouging the folks who are trying to help them remain in business....... read more

It's such a shame that this place sold. The new owners are not friendly and all of the old staff are no longer there. They charge a fee for using a card now but don't include that in the price when they tell you the total. They did post a small sign saying that they charge the fee, but it's not in an obvious spot you would look at while sitting in your car. They also never give a receipt. I used to go to this store several times a week because my pups loved getting a treat from the nice people who used to work there. Although they still do give a treat, it's just not the same. I've said it the last two times I've gone through, but today really confirmed that I will not be going to this store anymore. Customer service goes a long way! I want the old staff back! read more

The best thing since sliced bread! So thankful to have a drive thru dairy in my neighborhood! Staff treats you so good and are always so nice! I always try to tip and even more in summer cause it's so hot! It's perfect if you need 7up cause you are too hung over to get out of the car! this place has been around since before i was born. It has served my mother and cousins in high school and served me as well. They carry it all froom the dairy case, to Beer at good prics when in need and in a hurry. its a local owned and operated by the prendergast family Scott owns it and his Mom and brother are there to. Scott and i met as kids playing t-ball and have been friends eve since. just a little of americana left in redlands and should get the recognition it deserves. Not the cheapest in town but in a hurry or just lazy, get you milk, smokes, beer, at food, and dog, as weel as any other gatorade or energy drink under the sun and candy gum and all and for everything except the beer, you never leave your car. I was so disappointed yesterday when I went to the drive through dairy, and saw that the young man who was getting food for people was not wearing a mask or gloves. I'm not sure if the owner knows this, but I was so surprised to see this in a food store - Even if outside. He still had to come up close to the cars and take their money. I was going to say something when it was my turn, But decided I didn't even want to get close to him, so I backed out onto Redlands Blvd. and drove away. As I was leaving, the young man looked at me, and I just shook my head and pointed to my mask. I've been going to this store since 1970, and was very disappointed. My review is based mostly on service. I love the dairy boys, they are so nice and patient. Always make me feel welcomed. I usually just pass through for water or diet coke, but on many occasions I've purchased those random grocery items you seem to run out of at the last minute, like cream, mayo, etc.. I love that redlands has a dairy. I have 4 children...and one of them has a disability and let me say...when I need something quick, like milk or water...instead of getting all my children out of the car ( which is in no way quick).... I love that I can just drive thru. The boys are very polite and are patient. For those that say...just run into an am/pm. This is the very reason I love that redlands has this dairy. I'm willing to pay for slightly overpriced milk for the convenience of not having to get all my children out of the car for a few items. read more

A Redlands institution and a nod to simpler times of a bygone era. It is easy in and easy out. The staff is friendly and the quality of their milk is superior to most milk sold in the supermarkets in the area and is about the same price or cheaper. These places are disappearing fast so to still have one of these makes it a true gem. Do not listen to the hater reviews they are jus hating to hate. I hate this place. Not only is it ugly and the epitome of lazyness (try walking up, they act confused). Overpriced compared to most convenience stores. Also, it is a hazard. Anyone turning right onto fern from redlands blvd risks being t-boned by some driver who either has their view blocked by plants and signs or just pulls out blindly. Some day I'm going to get hit here and I'm going to own me a crappy convenience store. As another reviewer says, stop enabling them. Need something local? Anyone suggesting that there is something untoward in some "price hike" involving this business is being disingenuous. There have been price hikes at every grocer due to the supply chain disruptions caused by the Covid pandemic. The retailers have increases from the distributors and it is passed on to the customer: Business 101. I have gone to the Redlands Drive Thru for 15 years and knew the previous owners who I had come to know. When I realized they had recently sold the business I was skeptical of the new owners and I can tell you, without question, they are some of the finest folks this world has to offer. When the pandemic began, it was rainy and cold for weeks, no supplies available, etc. and I watched this family show up EVERY morning in the cold and rain and open up to serve the community when folks were scared to be within 10 feet of each other. Eggs were impossible to find and one day, anticipating a shipment, the owners said "Rohn, do you need eggs? If so, we will set some aside for you". I love these folks and urge everyone to patronize them and nobody asked me to write this review and I have never written one before. read more

Decide to give the do it yourself car wash here a try. It was ok, not great but not horrible. Only two car washing ports so gotta time it right or get lucky. On the good side the equipment seemed to be maintained and functioned properly. On the bad side this car wash is like many others in the area using unethical coin meters. As your putting in quarters your loosing time and only goes in 2 minute increments. No one can wash a car in 2 minutes! So even if you dump a bunch of quarters in the beginning loosing time as you do so. Your probably gonna find yourself running back dumping even more quarters in while your trying to wash your car. In my previous area the standard for these do it yourself car washes was put in 5 tokens = $5 and bam wash your car for 20 minutes uninterrupted. I so miss that! After the car wash I pulled forward into the vacuuming port and was planning on using it but you could tell that by the vacuum hose length and position It was only gonna reach my front seats. I seen another customer had to drive out of the lot and re enter in order to approach the vacuum sideways to be able to vacuum her car properly. Problem with that besides it being a pain is that you block the other vacuuming stations and feel like a jerk and might have a hard time getting out of there afterwards. So I ended up skipping on the vacuum. I then brought my car home and gave it a look over to see how good of a job the car wash did. From what I noticed it was clean but my paint seemed a little less glossy, maybe it stripped off some of my previous wax job. I all so noticed my tires now looked a bit dried out. All in all my car wash here was ok but defiantly not that golden car washing find I had hoped for. My car is small and wasn't that dirty so it worked ok for me. I wouldn't recommend trying to wash a large vehicle here because it would be inefficient and costly. read more
