Great bagel sandwiches and the donuts are so soft! Definitely coming back here again. The Cronuts are my favorite

    ##1 Basic Brunchwich

Whenever my family and I are in town we love to stop by at sunshine donuts. We did not realize the change in owner ship until we walked in. We decided to give it a chance. We ordered 3 basic brunchwich and a dozen donut holes. When my husband came to tell me it came out to $41.53 I thought it was pretty pricey. As we were eating my son said his croissant tasted bad. It was extremely burnt. My husbands bagel was not what he had ordered. With all these small issues I decided to ask to see why the total came out to so much. They charged us extra ham, a special donut, and did not mention the jalapeño bagel was extra. They did give us a refund for charging us extra ham and the special donut. Sad to say we will no longer be returning.

This is sometimes a hit but sometimes a miss. Donuts that are $3 each should be consistently excellent.

Very good donuts. The apple fritters have plenty of fruit and have a really good texture. Like the crispy exterior.

Every time we drive home from Monterey, I always see the big red Yelp sign that reads best BBQ…read more That sign did its' job and it got me intrigued and grabbed my attention. We finally got the chance to check it out. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The Prunedale Market is located along side the highway 101 freeway in the small town of Prunedale. It just takes a few long right turns to get there. Parking is easy and accessible out in the front parking lot. From the front, the market does not look like a popular BBQ spot. It looks like a simple small market store to grab quick snacks and drinks. Once inside there is a BBQ and deli section to your right. A small dining area is to your left. The decor is old fashioned and quaint. The 2 gentlemen greet you with friendly hospitality. We ordered the Tri tip sandwich, half slab of ribs which includes 2 potatoes and a cup of corn chowder. The pit master/owner Martin, who use to work for Original Joe's, was kind enough to also include a quarter chicken leg, a sausage, and extra ribs. It was so much food for our party of 3. Everything was delicious and hearty. The Tri tip sandwich was scrumptious with the flaming Fritos adding a nice crunchy texture and kick with every bite. The ribs were juicy and smokey. Potatoes complemented very well with the rest of the meat and chicken. Corn chowder was so tasty and creamy. I did not know corn chowder was that good. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Prunedale Market. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They even offered for our son to grab some free ice cream to go. We politely declined. The prices were very reasonable. All that food fed us for the next 2 days. Lol. We hope to be back when we are in the area with other friends and family.

Now this place is a bit difficult to find, and they only take cash, but DAMN! What a find! And Martin, the owner, amazing. Had the tritip and he gave me sausage sampler, delicious! We came in at about 5:30pm the place was empty but clearly just before dinner rush hour. Firstly, the music was great! Awesome 90s and 2000 rock we came in? The staff was dancing and we joined in. Already gave us a great feel for the place. We got served super fast. We shared half a rack of ribs, the brisket and a potato with everything. The ribs were so good I didn't want to eclipse the taste with BBQ sauce and I appreciate they give you the option to decide if you wanna add it or not on your own. The brisket was really good too, not too Smokey but just right. The potatoe was surprisingly on the smaller side of a russet potato but I can't say I was disappointed. It was really good though I would recommend salting it a bit. The bacon shaves were a tiny bit burnt so their flavor was lost and wasn't very nice to chew on. Another recommendation will be to replace the bread you bring with the main dishes. The meat is so good while the bread is basic store bought. I'm sure you can do better, even a slice of corn bread would have been a really good side addition or a dinner roll. The bread was redundant and there was nothing interesting about it. We didn't even eat it. Service was great, fast and super kind. If we're ever around I'm sure I'll drop in.
