I'll start by saying that Savoy's is usually a go-to, and I always like their jumbo slices at lunch time. The pizza always has a good crisp and I love the flavor of their sauce. On this occasion, I decided to order two jumbo slices which were each cut in half. Problem I had this time was that they stacked the two slices on top of each other with a sheet of food service paper in between, then put into a smaller box. This meant that the slices on the bottom had the cheese mushed in by the time I was going to eat it. The pizza still tasted great, and I enjoyed every part of it, but I'd recommend having slices like this put in a regular pizza box so that they're not stacked on top of each other. read more

The good itself was pretty good and the kitchen staff was nice and that's where it ends. Noone comes to the table to ask for your order noone fills drinks all self serve. Nothing personal at all. We called in for a pizza on our bike ride. I gave payment info over the phone as we were in the middle of the social distancing period. They brought the pizza out to us on our bicycles. We found a local picnic table to eat. This pizza was awesome! The flavors are great and having sauerkraut on it was amazing. We are so happy to have two Red's in our area now. read more

The pizza tasted just like the original location and I am just bummed I waited this long to try it again. Since that time, They have made every excuse for not having our food, blaming online ordering, new owners, you name it. The quality of the pizza here is pretty comparable to the original Red Savoy's in St. Paul. Same Red's recipe sauce, with a little kick to it. Same quality sausage. Same crisp crust. We ordered ahead for pickup. Our large house special was ready in 15 minutes. You have to be prepared to pay a little more. Savoy's has earned a following, and as a result, they charge more for their pizzas than a lot of chains. The difference is in the ingredients and the number of toppings. Order their house special, for example, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a pizza with more toppings or more cheese than a Savoy's. This Savoy's is located in a strip mall just off 35 in Hugo. I was very pleased with our recent Savoy's order. I will say that the pizza is best fresh. If it's in a box and being carried any distance, the crust is going to get soggy and you're going to have a separation problem, where the ingredients and the cheese want to separate from the crust. If you still want Savoy's pizza, but live a little distance away, order a Take-and-Bake pizza and cook it at home. Or, try one of their other locations. Or, eat it in the store. We went to Red's on a Wednesday night for a bite to eat while shopping. We found a table and sat down for dinner. Two waitresses passed by us number times over 15 minutes and never stopped at our table. We finally chased a waitress down, and 10 minutes later we had sodas and menus. Our waitress was young, and this possibly was her first job- we ordered 2 appetizers and one pizza, and all food came to the table at once, 40 minutes later. Our waitress never stopped by to refill our drinks, or check on our table. It took 30 minutes longer for our waitress to take our check and payment so we could leave. It was like playing a game of "Server Tag", and we were always "It". The meatball appetizer and the wings were the highlight of our meal. The pizza was hot around the edges, but doughy and cold in the middle of the pizza. By the time our food finally arrived we were so hungry, and frustrated about trying to catch our server that we didn't complain, or send food back. I don't know if our experience at Red's would have been better with an experienced server, including fixing the issues with the food. read more

I tried ordering through calling, and twice someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up on me. I chose then to order online. When my brother in law went to pick up the pizza he overheard another man stating the same thing has happened. The cashier was arguing stating the other man had called the wrong number. My brother in law interjected and let them know the same thing had happened to us (to be clear they picked up the phone and we heard right restaurant noises in the background and then the hung up twice). Having been brought up on Savoy's on W.7th, I was apprehensive to think their nummy goodness could be duplicated in the suburbs. But, thank goodness I don't live near this one, or they would be on speed dial. They do offer delivery, but we did pick up...torture driving the 10 minutes home without opening the box. They do have two little tables, more for waiting for your pick-up I believe then for dining. Feel free to call ahead and give a pick-up time, they will not just make your pizza and let it sit in the window. It was coming out of the oven just as we arrived. read more

Brutal service. Ordered pizzas for pick up, and was told 20 minutes. Arrived promptly, and experienced similar service as other 1-stars. Poor girl at the front counter was in charge of answering phones, taking care of the register, waiting on the bar and tables. I sat and waited and observed. The pizzas took 45 minutes. The worst part?? While my pizzas were cooling on top of the oven (the front counter girl couldn't keep up), the manager sat behind the bar BS'ing with a guy he must've known. Manager looked sloppy, NEVER lifted a finger to help, didn't care that there were people out the door. As a business owner I'd want to know how my manager performed - this was pathetic. HORRIBLE! Really nice people and fantastic pizza! Every bit as good as the original in Saint Paul. The crust is thin and crispy and there is plenty of sauce and cheese. It's a bit greasy but that's what happens when they don't skimp on the cheese and sauce. They also add the sausage raw and let it cook with the pizza in the oven which adds to the overall flavor! Red Savoy is pretty expensive but it's totally worth it just get a large or X large because the medium size pizza is pretty small. Great service hipster atmosphere which is great. I've given this place a ton of chances since they deliver and have Gluten Free pizza. But every time I'm more than disappointed. We will not use this pizza place anymore. I rather have the runs that eat here again. Reason 1. Food is always cold Reason 2. Extremely poor customer service Reason 3. Delivered the wrong order then expected us to wait another 1.5hrs to get it replaced. We suggested a refund for half of the order since we were able to warm up and eat half of the ordered. TO this day they still have not refunded the $11.00 despite various phone calls and a stop in to the store. We will NEVER eat here again. Reason 4. I just had my first pizza from there. The flavor was good , but not very impressed with the burnt crust. The bottom on about half the pizza was black. I love Savoy's Pizza in Hugo! My husband grew up on Savoy's in St. Paul and loves the sauce. It does have more seasoning inthe regular pizza sauce than I like but I can order it with marinara sauce which tastes awesome to me. Now we get one pizza with regular sauce and one pizza with marinara and we are all happy. I am surprised by the review that said Savoy's doesn't have enough meat... I think Savoy's has more meat and more toppings ingeneral than other pizza places. read more

one of my nephews owns 2 savoys pizza places, one in hugo and one in vadnais heights, mn. dont worry about them being any different from the orginal. anyone that owns a savoy pizza has to buy all their ingredients directly from the orgianal place. they have to use the same recipe, same sauce, sausage, cheese etc. just order and enjoy. most have home delivery now. read more
