He diagnosed the problem, had the part and installed it very quickly. He also found that the original installer of our HVAC wired something wrong and fixed that for free. Redwire HVAC responded to my request for a thermostat diagnosis within minutes of contacting them via Yelp and offered 2 appointments the next day with their technician. The technician tested the thermostat and because it wasn't working asked us what type of thermostat we'd like to have installed. He listened to our request for an easy-to-read and non-programmable thermostat, then went to get it from their supply house. He installed it and tested it to ensure it was functioning properly with our furnace. I didn't get the tech's name, but he deserves more than 5 stars for his expertise and willingness to do a great job! We'll definitely use Redwire HVAC for future HVAC work. read more

I had an issue with my gas furnace after seeing an error message on my Nest thermostat. Alan from Redwire HVAC found the issue, which turns out to be a bad/incorrect limit switch installed years ago by another HVAC service man. Alan also pointed out that the gas pressure is too high (which he corrected as well), and that my air filter is too thick for my furnace. None of which the previous service person ever mentioned and just installed the wrong limit switch just to make it work. Alan came back with the proper limit switch with a higher limit and everything works great now. It's been a great experience. I was so happy to have Alan look at our cooling system and help figure out what was not working. Our system was incorrectly installed and we needed Freon for the AC. The control board wiring was fixed and the AC turns on and off now. He also gave advice on the right kind of filters for our HVAC system. I bought my house a couple of years back and it's got one of those complicated heating systems. I was a technician at the phone company, but I have absolutely no clue what to do with something like this. The system itself has always made a lot of noise, but I didn't have a clue anything was wrong because I don't know what's normal. I took pics of my system and got 4 referrals from Yelp to companies that might be able to work on it. The first 3 sent back messages that they weren't equipped to work on my system, so I appreciated getting a response. Redwire sent back word that they could take a look at it. I called them back and explained what was going on - noise, no heat, etc. i also explained that my health hasn't been great lately, and my place was FREEZING COLD. The technician from Pacific Gas & Electric had advised that he didn't feel that the system was safe when he inspected it, so I had taken his advice and shut it down. The lady on the phone scheduled me for the soonest appointment that they had available. Their technician, Alan, came out to check out my system and advise me how to proceed. Alan did a lot of testing on my system and was able to diagnose the problem. I needed to replace an expensive component and although they could get the part and change it out, the component itself was very expensive. He did some more testing and managed to get my heater up and running, but he was clear with me that the component was going to fail and the timing of this wasn't known since the extent of the damage (to the circuitboard of the component) made it unpredictable. Alan was able to do some adjustments to get the system up and working again and I was very appreciative. He also gave me an exact cost of the part and the repairs on the spot so that I could plan ahead to get the work done once I had the funds available. The system has never worked particularly great, it's always been really noisy and hit or miss on the temperature. I give Alan and RedWire two thumbs up because the system has been more consistent and works better than it ever has since I moved into the house after Alan had adjusted it for me. I highly recommend RedWire will definitely be using their services to replace the part once I have the money available in my budget! I have been having a leaky dishwasher problem. Redwire was quick to respond and schedule a diagnosis visit at home within two days. I called Redwire to get our Samsung Gas Range fixed and got my schedule for the initial check-up. Allan, our technician did a great job explaining what happened and what parts needed to be replaced. Ordered the parts and he came back after 2-3 days. After two hours of installations, the gas ranged was still not reaching its higher temperature setting. After several attempts of trial & errors, we finally gave up and he decided to call Samsung support and to come back the next day.
