Ate here recently with some friends. I got the grilled tempeh burger. It was good. My friends received their food first. I guess there was an issue when my order was placed it didn't go through in the computer. Asha, the manager, was very concerned and fixed it as soon as he noticed me without my food. I have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars at this restaurant over the last 10 year, introducing my friends and family. Today was the last time I will set foot in the restaurant. I called to see if they had heaters and was told yes. It was a cold drizzly day but it was Valentine's and we are trying to support the local restaurants. There are two stationary small fireplaces in the back that provide heat to the people sitting at that end of two tables only. I ordered French Toast and a bowl of oatmeal. Twenty minutes later, after seeing large families that sat down after us be served their food, I went in to inquire about our order 91 and was told it was on its way. Another ten minutes goes by with not food (30 minutes from order point) so I go back in and ask for my money back - we are cold and tired of waiting - obviously our order was "misplaced". The clerk gave me my money back after consulting with the manager who was standing right there but made no effort to look at me, apologize or offer me anything else. As I went back to get my husband from the table they deceiver our food which we left. Maybe they are so busy making food to go they don't care about the customers waiting at their tables. Either way - the lack of caring or concern from management permeates all the way down the chain. Too many other restaurants right here in Petaluma that will appreciate my dollars so I won't be driving to Cotati any more. read more

Will they ever get their Wifi working? I live nearby so check in every month or two to see if they got it going but...no. It never works. There's always a 'reason' but I'm not buying it anymore. It's a coffee shop that doesn't choose to provide functional Wifi. Some of the food is quite good - some just ok and a bit overpriced. I got a veggie burger and asked for it with cheese while I ordered. It came out without cheese so I told my waiter and he asked me what kind of cheese I wanted and I said American please he then laughed and said he didn't have that kind of cheese. Good food, good vibes. Love the fireplace. A bit pricey and almost too much variety on their menu, but good for a snack or coffee on the go.

I love Redwood Cafe. The owners are welcoming to all and the staff is friendly. It's a great place to meet friends or study. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Great smoothies and juice drinks. The bathrooms are the only draw back--not always as clean as they could be. I know the sink is clean but it doesn't look clean. read more

One of our favorite breakfast spots. A funky place in funky Cotati, the place has a real neighborhood feel to it. The staff is pleasant and the food good. You can linger with the paper or your laptop with ease. The fireplace is nice, even though it's just a gas fire. Good place to take the kids and grandkids, or just go by yourself. The Mexican omelet stuffed with green chili, tomatoes, avocado, onions, sour cream (if you like) and cheese is one of my favorite breakfasts in the area. It comes with a side of cubed potatoes and toast or english muffin. I miss the blubs (blueberry pancakes) they used to have. The last ones I had were small and burnt, but they used to be delicious. The cafe itself is really nice and comfortable -- live music and good service. We sat outside for brunch and the food was disappointing. I got the Mac and cheese and it was really bland with no cheesy flavor. My boyfriend got the tortilla scramble which he enjoyed (he's not too picky). Another haunt of mine, I come here very often. I would definitely reccommend this place for any time of day. The staff is really cool and are very attentive despite the crowds that can fill this place up (especially on the weekends). The food is varied and accomodating enough that anyone can find something they'll like. My personal favorites are the garden burger, eggs redwood, and tofu wrap. I often replace tomato with avocado (free). They are very willing to do replacements and make it how you like it. Fair warning: this place does have events (karaoke, music, poetry, stand-up), so its often pretty loud and crowded at night. Altogether, a staple of the area. read more

I love this place! It is walking distance from my house, so my boyfriend and I enjoy walking the dog here on the weekends and sitting in the beer garden while we enjoy some lunch. Been here a few times this year. Strange place I think. You order at a counter and get served like a restaurant. There is a stage where a band will play a lot, when they do its really packed. Not so much with eaters but theres just not a lot of room and its really loud. The meal isn't enjoyable that way. It's not like going to a club where you get dinner then the band plays like at Fenix in Marin. Foods just ok. There's a lot better places just nearby. Try the Hot Spot next door. read more

The first time I came here was on a Sunday, long line and lots of people but I heard good things so I didn't mind waiting and looking at all the pastries they had on display. Very much enjoyed my breakfast that time. This time however when I asked for no butter I still got butter on my pancakes and when I said I had asked for no butter they just took it off the top even though more than a tablespoon had already soaked into the pancake. For the price you pay I would expect a new lousy pancake. I am on a strict diet and with the special body building menu I would have thought they understood that, apparently not. So I didn't get to eat half of my $15 breakfast. I'll have to go somewhere else from now on. read more

BEST FALAFEL EVER!!!! If you go for anything, go for the falafel! Crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside like it ought to be! I love their coffee selection as well. It is a but pricey but if you enjoy a cozy, kick-back atmosphere, then you won't mind paying a little bit more. It can be a bit cold if you sit more toward the back, so stay by the fireplace! A girlfriend ;) and I we're looking for a quick, comfortable/chill lunch destination in the Rohnert Park/Cotati area during a break from class. I recalled a suggestion made by a roommate about Redwood's tasty burgers and fries, large menu (veg. friendly), and good prices on pitchers of beer (lagunitas, great white, death and taxes). We have returned to redwood since and have had pleasurable experiences each time. As mentioned in other reviews, the atmosphere is quite appropriate for the wide array of clientele this cafe/restaurant receives., from the wood panel walls and the fireplace... to the occasional sports game being covered on a couple strategically placed flatscreen tv's. The food is solid. Pleased every time with what we had decided on (from fish & chips, to burgers, scrambles, soup, and some regional fare) They have a 20% discount for SRJC and SSU students....which is cool. Recommended to anyone, seriously it's a cozy atmosphere, and there's something for everyone. read more

This place is amazing!!!! I use to work at the walgreens in cotati and almost every single one of my lunch/dinner brakes I was in here getting something to eat!!! I am not big on vegetables(no joke avoid them at all cost) but they have a meal that is to die for!!! noodles, mushrooms, onion, and cheese with a piece of cheesie bread sometime two depending on whos working... all there food just melts in your mouth! and their fries ohhh man don't even get me started those people who think in n out burgers fries are good have obviously never tried these sooo.... good!!!!! read more
