    Steak, potatoes and broccoli.

Food was cold and extremely salty. Music was loud and golf balls hitting the wall was hard to hear. Nice flow except when busy you can't get around tables for movement. Service while nice didn't seem to care about quality.

We were on our way home from Traverse City and decided to stop here for a beer. They had some great beer selections that were cold and yummy. We were happy to add to our tagabrew collections. The service was great, despite being very busy and short handed. I would most definitely recommend checking it out!

We've stopped by here years ago, and remembered the amazing chili dogs, whilst on a recent road trip up north. So, we hopped off the highway and headed downtown to eat! BOY this place has changed. Formerly a diner-type establishment, now it is the same seating, but with a brewery name and some additions to the decor. There's also a brewery back behind the restaurant area, although we did not go in. The seating is definitely older - the booths have cracked pleather seats, and we could not find one that didn't bother our legs (in shorts), so we sort of sat kittycorner from each other. Pros: The waitress was very kind and helpful. She even adjusted our bill after I told her, at checkout, that we didn't get exactly what we had ordered. The menu is quite large, with a variety of things to order. There are still Greek offerings, as well as chili dogs, but they are a small percentage of the menu now. Our pulled pork/bacon hot dog and chili cheese fries were delicious. Cons (and this is a BIG CON): The noise in this place was chaotic at best. There were 2 tvs on different channels, and our waitress muted them at my request (we were the only diners in there). But there was extremely loud country music coming from the kitchen, and extremely loud popular music coming from the restaurant's sound system. It was, by far, one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I've ever had. I could not wait to leave. The dining area is dated - even with a few ceiling gears and a stack of craft beer, it does not look fresh. TIP: So why 3 stars and not less? The waitress, who was amazing. Nevertheless, if you walk in and discover the same sound environment, do yourself a favor and head elsewhere.

The dill pickle ranch was packed with dill and had good flavor. The meals were the Pesto Chicken Salad, and not pictured the Reuben Turkey. The salad was a smaller portion than I expected, but priced appropriately at just $12 is a great deal. The Basil Pesto dressing is divine, so flavorful and the goat cheese was perfect. This salad will absolutely bring me back. The selection of craft beer, cider, mead, and wines was outstanding - we each opted for a flight and got to try 8 amazing selections. Also priced at just $12 for a flight - it was a great deal. The cherry wheat was the best cherry wheat I've ever tried, this brewery absolutely needs to begin distributing. I'd love to offer this selection at our bar. My one complaint (because I'm super picky and quite snobby about sauces) - the ranch needs to be homemade. With so many delicious dressing and sauce recipes on the menu it's a really big disappointment to have ranch that's not homemade. For me being a sauce snob - that's a deal breaker for me at any restaurant. Overall - our experience, service and vibe here was outstanding and we felt comfortable and right at home. Our server was fantastic, the ambiance inside is very chill and relaxing, and the food was great. I'll still give ya 5 stars because it was really great overall!

We ordered the Ancho Nachos with a side of beer cheese. The beer cheese was fantastic and honestly what made the nachos enjoyable. The melted cheese on the nachos themselves was pretty sparse, so having the beer cheese on the side was key. One thing I really liked was the banana peppers. They were a nice acidic surprise that added a pop of flavor in place of your traditional jalapeños. I think the dish would benefit from more tomatoes or a fresh salsa to brighten everything up. The biggest thing holding the nachos back was the chips. They were thick, grainy, old-style nacho chips that tasted a bit like cardboard. A better chip would elevate the entire dish! At $16 for a fairly modest bowl of nachos, I expected a more polished and elevated offering. The flavors are there, and the beer cheese is excellent, but the overall execution doesn't quite match the price point. Overall, I'd happily return for the cider, friendly service, and enjoyable atmosphere. A few small tweaks to the nachos could make them every bit as good as the rest of the experience.

We were celebrating a 70th birthday and had a couple other friends face-timing for a few minutes. The owner came to our table and told us we were being "rude and irresponsible". Granted, we did have a few laughs with our phone friends but her approach was totally out of line for a business owner. How about, "Hey ladies, sounds like your are having a wonderful time, but could you not do the phone call much longer? And thank you for dining here today." She most certainly is not a professional. Only one waitress (no bartender) was new at her job, and doing ok. She was sweet and tried to fill drink orders, even though not trained on the bar. A couple small mistakes but we understood her situation. First and last time at the Blue Cow.

We paid 90 something dollars for a veggie platter, to have wilted tomatoes, dry carrots and no broccoli. We paid 15 dollars a pizza to have the pizza just to be cold and small. If i recall it was only a 12 inch personal pizza for 15 bucks.. And the chicken in the pot was soggy because they steamed it for an hour before we where able to access it. We noticed a safety hazard and made sure management noted it for when we leave and not shortly after that they jacked up the music very very loud intending to kick us out. Overall we where really disappointed and would not recommend this place for a get together.

Every bite consumed. Everything on their menu is absolutely a home run! My oldest and wife had the house made veggie burger - it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My youngest had the pulled pork. The flavor of the pork was nothing like we'd ever tasted before - Smokey and savory, but a huge taste of brown sugar without being overly sweet. Not sure how the maestro in the kitchen/on the smoker pulled that magic trick. I had the most amazing bowl of chili. Smokey and robust, full of beans and meat - everything you want in a chili, but done so perfectly well you just don't know how they pulled it off. And if you want something to close out your meal, the marshmallow & nutella flatbread is heavenly. It's like a less messy, better smore. The food in one word: magical.
