Nestled in a nook over the bridge, Lakeside Grill can easily be missed. Small, comforting, and some great food for a great price. Our family of 5 all thought the same thing when we looked at the menu: these prices are amazing. For less than $20 a person you can get an entire breakfast, coffee, and be more than satisfied - something you definitely can't get in the city. I opted for a heavenly omelette with mushrooms, spinach, swiss & hollandaise sauce and was not disappointed. Even the presentation was beautiful, something you don't find often from small eateries! Will definitely be returning to try the crabcake benedict (yum!!) and check out their lunch/dinner options!

Our awesome server was Mary Ann with an M ....she gave us friendly and warm service and she was very attentive. Our food came out hot and was delicious - - i had another waffle, but this time with just bananas - -and hubby had scrambled eggs and hash browns covered in cheese - - and he LOVED every bite as did I. And the coffee is just perfect! JJ's is a bright light and such a heavenly oasis. Everyone should be as happy and positive as the people that work at JJ's. They have worked hard to provide this consistently good food and service over the years. We will make it a point to be back again next time we are in town.

But that was on me for not stopping to ask as she poured another cup of coffee for my friend. I've had their coffee and it's delicious. My friend enjoyed the international omelette. She enjoyed it. The diner has its own parking lot with plenty of parking. The inside is eclectic but with definite typical Jersey diner vibes and the counter and stools to go with it. I've sat at the counter and the service is cordial and inviting. Quick too when necessary. It was slightly disappointing, watery and filled with peppercorns. Not totally horrible but not what I was expecting. Bread is provided on request and our waitress brought 2 brioche style sweet rolls to the table. A plentiful dish of butter was provided. The rolls were delicious and refilled. My entire were the crab cakes I chose French fries and cole slaw. The crab cakes were tasty but in the crab imperial style. I prefer the breaded crab cakes. Nevertheless tasty. The Cole slaw was very good, the fries though were coated and although I dislike this style I liked these. My wife had the broiled scallops with mashed potato and string beans. She raved about her meal. For dessert we split a slice of the chocolate chip cheesecake which was unbelievably good. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. If you crave the old school Jersey shore seafood restaurant you will not be disappointed!

Waited 15 minutes for a glass of wine all awhile the bartender was taking selfies and chatting with other customers. Eventually I had an unwelcome feeling so I left Last few visits were good, good food, good service, nice people but unfortunately not on this visit. Service is a big part of why customers return again and again but after tonight's visit I am not sure about returning. Previous visits I've ordered pizza, raw oysters and grilled fresh salmon on top of their spinach salad which was good. There are other options to consider where great service has a meaning
