The bar looks huge, but it will be eaten quickly, and I'm glad I got the large size! Taking a tip from a previous review, I brought an insulated lunch bag with an ice block to transport the bar home that very warm day. But since it had been refrigerated, it probably would have been fine on its own (just not in direct sunlight). read more

I always come here for Kiki's and didn't realize Syrian Sweet was in the same shopping plaza. Initially I was looking for Middle Eastern dessert to bring with me when visiting my Egyptian friends... but ended up doing something different because they were closed on Sundays... but have been curious since I found this place on Yelp. Finally was in the area for some Kiki's food and saw that this was practically next door and got curious. Walked in and was greeted by some nice gentlemen... gave me some recommendation on some of their favorite.. I ended up getting some baklava but with various fillings - walnut, almonds, pistachios.... all amazing... there was also this little green ones that's pistachio based that the person helping mention it was their hottest selling items. It's the only thing in the case that was just super green all around. Get that, it was delicious... and surprisingly not super sweet on all the items I purchased. You know when it's a great dessert for an Asian when the compliment for the dessert is "oh wow, it's not too sweet"! LOL! I'll definitely be back to try other items next time. They also had pre-packaged items and coffee. It was really late in the afternoon so I skipped the coffee but I bet it'll be amazing paired with all their yummy food. Come get some! read more

Stopped by for kunafa and some desserts. I called in before coming in to confirm if the kunafa is made fresh and they confirmed it is. But when I came in , I saw a huge premade kunafa. I was dubious upon looking at it and only bought a half portion for 12.75. It was absolutely inedible and we thrashed the whole thing. However the pistachio baklava was good. I had a bad after taste. Not sure if I would come back except for the pista baklava. read more

I am so pleased with this place! I called a couple days ago, and the woman on the phone was very kind and put one of the Dubai chocolate bars aside for my boyfriend to pick up. He said that the workers were kind and everything looked amazing. The chocolate bar is delicious! The texture was perfect and though it seems like a steep price ($25) I think it's fair for the size/quality. I'm excited for us to go back and try more of their treats! Would recommend! read more

Traversed here to try their Dubai chocolate bar! I also tried their macarons and I ate them so fast because they were so delicious! Sorry no picture . This candy bar is MASSIVE and I will be eating this for dessert the next few days. It's very flavorful and crunchy. I wish it had a little more pistachio filling to the ratio of the crunchy kunafa to add a bit more creaminess to the filling--but it is so worth the price and drive to sate that chocolate craving. Definitely recommend. I also tried a sample of their almond baklava and that was delicious as well! Honestly--you have to try this place. I wish I could have grabbed some more stuff so I'll probably be back! Definitely get the macarons. Best I've ever had in my life! read more

It's clear that there is a lot of craft and hard work that goes into each of Reem's sweets. Although it's a little on the pricy side, (Dubai chocolate for $25) it's definitely worth it as everything is meticulously made. when you enter Reem's your eyes are greeted with possibly the most fantastic display baklava, chocolates, and macaroons. the gentleman who helped us was of a kind nature and gave us a free sample to try! this is the best baklawa ive ever had and they even had the viral pistachio kanefeh, which was also fantastic. we will be stopping through here and getting our fix EVERY TIME we are in Denver. Got a Dubai chocolate bar, had the idea to come here from the tiktok account, denverfoodscene. Honestly was pretty good but definitely expensive for what it is. It's a good size but still over the price. Idk I saw a menu that it as 19 dollars for 1 bar and then I came in and they were 25. And now I'm typing this review out 1 week later. And see on the menu that it's 35 now. And there weren't any other options for Dubai chocolate bars. So I'm assuming it's the only one I found. read more

Yes, the humble but heavenly halawiyat (Arabic pastry shop) called Syrian Sweet is ready to dazzle you from its outpost on the corner of Holly and Evans! For some reason, I just knew that you were going to ask if they had baklava. (Big surprise!) Well yes, they do, in several varieties (the almond one is a particular specialty) - and I'm sure you'll find it to be just as spectacular as you imagined. But as it happens, SS has so much more to enthrall you with in the crispy/nutty category. Have you ever tried Kul wa Shkur? "Kul" means "eat" in some Arabic dialects, and "Shkur" has the same root as "Shukran" ("thank you") so it's probably not shocking to hear that after you try these cashew-stuffed spheres, you'll be praising the heavens too. Or how about a slice or two of Baluria, consisting of candied pistachios sandwiched between layers of shredded wheat? Then again, Asabe bil Joz (walnut pastry fingers dappled with rosewater) are sounding remarkably good right about now too. But if you already thought you were having trouble making a decision, I'm about to spill the beans - or rather, dough - on a few even more tempting options (really!) Deriving their name from the term "petits fours", the cookies known as Betefor are indeed a reflection of historical French presence in Syria and Lebanon - and you can taste those culinary contributions in a few different permutations involving chocolate and/or vanilla. (Snap!) What was that? Ah yes, it was a tray of impeccably crisp Barazeq (sesame cookies) hot out of the oven to tantalize you with their seedy bounty. Aficionados of Jerusalem Restaurant on Evans will immediately recognize the soft shortbread-y Graybah - and the one here tastes just as fantastic as its competitor's, I assure you. This store is delightful. If you're wondering whether you should pop in, just do it. Upon entering, your faced with glistening trays of baklava. They have many types, from variations of pistachio baklava to baklava with other nuts. Once we finally took in the beautiful sights of the baklava we looked at the other cases which had other Syrian & Mediterranean delicacies. I got multiple varieties of baklava. The crunchy filo dough shatters in your mouth, the nuts are dense and have an excellent bite to them, and there is the perfect level of sweetness. 10/10 would go back. read more

This is quite a find for someone looking for Middle Eastern desserts. They have about 5 types of baklava, basbousa, halwa fudge, cookies, and the best cheesy khanafa. The sever was very kind and extremely accommodating. They only have one set of table and chairs, so it is a bit of a production if you want to eat inside.
