I've been going here for a year now, I believe. I get my touch ups every 6 months for Japanese straightening. It's burns a huge hole in my wallet but its so worth it. I have super super curly hair but Ryuji makes it very sleek, manageable, shiny, and thin. I also have super long hair and touch ups and straightening don't take as long as I thought. He also makes me feel comfortable with anything to talk about, and always offers you drinks throughout the 4 hour process (which isn't bad amount of time). The bathroom is very clean. My hair is much more healthier than when I used to get relaxers. It also doesn't frizz up at all in humid conditions. And if it gets wet, it'll dry very straight. Just need heat on my relaxed ends. Seriously consider it. The prices are cheaper than the salons that charge thousands e_e. I can't see anyone else doing my hair, because he knows what he's doing and manages my hair type with care. It takes alot to find a trusty hair stylist who knows your needs. PS sorry I never tip (broken heart) But my gratitude is in my heart for the hard work you guys do. I also like that the salon is quite private. There's nothing more annoying and awkward than seeing people walk past the salon window staring at your hair in this big goopy mess. So that adds to my comfort as well. They will pamper you. The towels keep you very dry, even if your hair is past your back. I've had issues at other salons where my clothes would be soaked because of the towels being a problem. The chairs are very comfortable. Other salons I have to strain my neck to keep it upright for the stylist. I never get burns on my scalp, like a relaxer would. If you want straight healthy hair with zero effort to maintain, get Japanese straightening. My hair is much healthier compared to my ends. I thought it was just a gimmick, but it really is a huge difference regardless of how curly your hair is. My hair is much healthier too because I use less heat with this straightening treatment. I can continue to grow it even more long! It's worth the drive. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking care of my hair, it's my comfort blanket. read more

I've been getting Yuko on my hair since c. 2001-02. A few weeks ago Ryugi did my hair for the first time with his assistant. I am blown away and so grateful, thankful and appreciative of their talent, professionalism and competence with my hair. These 2 truly know how to work together and in such sync. My hair has never looked better. I've had stylists take 7-8 hours to do my hair but together these 2 did my hair in 3 hours! Because I live overseas scheduling can be a problem. I needed to change my appointment at the last minute a couple times as well as make my appointment at the last minute. I couldn't have been accommodated better. Because I was the last customer that day, Ryugi even offered to drive me to Beverly Center where I needed to go after my appointment. Now, that is service! My hair looks AMAZING and believe me, I've had a lot of straightening sessions to compare with and this is probably my best yet.
