My husband studied what we wanted in an RV for 6 months or more. Staying up late at night watching youtubers giving great advice. He really like the idea of a small sprinter so we could boon-dock but as all smart men know, "A happy wife, A happy life" after checking out a few and going to some RV sellers in the Santa Rosa, Davis, area nothing was striking our fancy. Then we found a Fleetwood on a Sprinter chassis in Escalon. It almost sounded too good to be true. a 2010 with only 15,000 miles on it. We rode there on 0728 and met with Paul. He knew EVERYTHING about this RV from top to bottom. (unlike the lots that have too many to know anything!) He had driven it up from the San Diego area himself. He was willing to go through it from top to bottom and answer my husbands long list of questions. Tony the owner was out of town until after the 4th of of July but Paul was able to reach him so we could make a deal and lock in a price. We went back to pick it up around the 7th of July or so and met the owner Tony, his wife and adorable daughter. They had found a couple of things that weren't perfect about our Fleetwood and they VOLUNTEERED to correct them before they knew it existed. They also bought some pizza for lunch and were happy to share with us. I felt like we were all friends sitting there. We took our RV home that day and later took her back for the Mercedes recall on the airbag and the small problem they had spotted on the awning. I gladly recommend Referral Auto Group to purchase an RV. There are very few places where you can feel your getting an honest deal. The only advice I have to be careful of is there 10 year old daughter. She is quite the salesgirl! I knew I was in trouble when they opened up their shop to us (with a 20% discount) and she came to me, put her hand on my shoulder and whispered, "everyone needs toilet paper". We recently purchased a new 5th wheel trailer from Referral Auto Group and we can't imagine how the whole experience could have been better. When we began looking for a fifth wheel trailer, we visited several dealers and talked to a lot of salespeople. We always came away feeling like we were talking to the typical "used car salesperson". Then we stopped in at Referral Auto Group and talked to Tony. He was really straight forward, just explained what each unit was all about, and never put any pressure on us to buy. We made up our minds to try to buy from Referral, and kept watching the inventory. We even told some friends about Tony's business, and they actually bought right away. Not long ago, we saw a really nice fifth wheel trailer on the website, and drove up from Mariposa. Tony and Paul explained the trailer to us in great detail, and we fell in love with it. One of the things I asked Tony about was getting a new set of tires on the trailer. He made a phone call and got us a great deal (his dealer cost) on a new set, and even arranged for them to be installed on our way home. This is a wonderful family owned business and Tony, the owner, is absolutely amazing. When I called and talked to Tony about a trailer that he had he held it for us as my husband and myself drove 4 hours to see it. Tony and his crew took the time to go over every little thing on the trailer to not only show us how things worked but that they worked in general. Tony then gave us 24 hours to make sure that this trailer was the right fit for us before we signed papers or left a deposit even though we were willing to leave a deposit that day. After all papers were signed the following day Tony then held the trailer for us on his lot for another week at no cost until we could take ownership of it. When time came for us to take ownership of the trailer Tony himself drove it all the way to Nevada, over 4 hours away, for us to take ownership. He went over everything with us once again to make sure we were satisfied and it was being delivered just how we saw it on his lot. Not often do I write a response regarding a business deal, but in this case I just can't resist. Those people at Referral Auto Group are the most friendly, helpful and considerate people I've ever done business with. The owners have a nice, orderly and casual way of seeing that you see and know everything about your potential purchase. My relative was looking for a nice fifth wheel. My wife and I found one online at Referral and went to see it. The owner showed us the Carriage Lite and it was like new! They take pride in cleaning and detailing their RV's and honestly, it did look unused. The family owned business has been involved with the RV lifestyle for decades and they know a lot about RV's. My wife and I have a 5th wheel and we were surprised at the knowledge that the owner has, and also the tips he so freely gave us.These people are very trustworthy and my relative is just overjoyed with her purchase. If she has a problem, all she does is call them and they walk her through it. The prices are very fair, I imagine, because the business is in a small town and the overhead is kept down. Regarding the review from EMG in El Sugando. I am Tony's father and know that he sells only quality RV's. I went with him on THIS particular trip to the L.A. area. When we arrived at EMG's location, which is a 350 mile trip one way, my first impression when driving in and seeing it was that this RV was far below Tony's, not to mention Referral Auto Groups standards, without even going inside. It looked dirty from the outside. I normally see the units he is looking at as nice until he points out water damage and delamination or that it has been used to live in full time and very worn, or other defects. So when seeing and going through this unit he told the owner that it is not something he would not purchase due to it's condition nor would sell to one of his clients, and also that it was far from what she described, she became belligerent and actually nasty towards him. My son's company reputation has been built on quality, and as the name implies, and referrals from past customers, With the type of junk EMG was trying to pass off as nice would be an insult to any reasonable buyer, and as such is why he did not purchase the unit. read more

Recently on a camping trip one of the spring brackets on our 5 wheel broke and the axles were damaged. I took our rig to Referral Auto group and they inspected the unit and generated a quote to repair it. The repair included replacing both axles, Springs and suspension. My insurance company was challenging replacing everything with new. Only wanted to mix some new components and keep some used pieces. Tony and Jen worked directly with my insurance adjuster and made it clear to him that it's not safe to do what they wanted to do and that Referral Auto Group would not take short cuts when it comes to safety. Long story short the insurance co agreed to repair our unit as per quoted. We had camping trips coming up and Tony and Jen and crew worked very hard to make sure we were able to go. How can I say anything more than all the previous reviews. We just bought our amazing 5th wheel from Tony today. We search from Fairfield to Turlock not really knowledgeable about RV's learning along the way. We had de sided on buying a travel trailer from Turlock until today, we dropped off our old Jayco to have the AC repaired. We decided to "just go look" at what he had on the lot.
