We have been looking for a 5th wheel for 6 months and have been to many RV dealers, checked Craigslist and RV trader. Our RV was having a problem with the jacks and the motor. We bought a new motor and we put it in ourselves was not hard we got the jacks working, and one of the jacks fell off. We brought it into referral auto group and their bid to us was $1400 for a new motor and new jacks. We explain to them that was a brand new motor. We did not need a motor just the jacks. They told us they could not buy just the jacks separately it had to be a set the motor and the jacks, I disagreed she said they cannot purchase from just anybody. It Hass to be a certain company and that company does not sell just the jacks for that motor that we had. I did some checking on my own and I found yes you can buy the jacks for that motor when I called her back she explain to me that yes oh I'm sorry I just checked and found out that company was sold, and the company it was sold to we can buy from. So now instead of $1400 is still $800. I said for just the jacks well and two hours of labor. I'm not quite sure who gets $200 an hour for labor I know I don't. When we went to pick it up lo and behold oh it's so broken down we can't get it on your pick up to take home It's very dangerous so now they have left us with basically no choice but for them to fix it. And by the way, it was going to cost us $200 anyway just to have a look at it. Well they have me between a rock and a hard place And I can't say that I completely trust them. I don't trust them, but they have us to where we have no choice I would not recommend this place and I will never go there again. read more

Tony wrote an email offering $8,500 (sight unseen) on Craig's list to buy a 14 year old 5th wheel from me. I had it listed for $12,000. The 5th wheel Alfa Ideal is in great condition, 1 owner other than me, no water leaks etc...just spent $1,000 having it looked over by Alfateers near L.A. just to make sure there were no problems before sale. Alfateers fixed some minor problems, replaced house batteries and taped a bad scratch on the side top where my husband scraped a tree large bush. The fix is appr. 16 to 18 inches long on an original well taken care of roof where it is rounded coming down to the side. It only broke the surface skin, not the roof. I explained that in full detail and it shows in the photos sent to him. We had the carpet shampooed. It is very clean. Relatively new tires. This 5th wheel has 14 years of immaculate records, plastic still on the lampshades, oven never used, 3 slide outs, upgraded queen bed mattress, all original upholstery in excellent condition. This "buyer" talked and talked and wants and wants....called every 10 minutes just to let me know "HE WILL TAKE IT and not to sell it to anyone else!" I believed him. I made the mistake of telling other buyers that it was sold since he said he was on the road for 6 hours to pick it up. I drove a 50 mile round trip to meet him. In the meantime he got a better deal somewhere else. He admitted he was going to pick up another RV. I guess he did not have enough money to buy both. He looked mine over, picked it to death and said he dose not want it. So much for the "as is offer". Tony has a website but only allows "raving testimonials". That should give you a clue. (Funny that I am the 1st yelp review with his claim of having so many happy customers) He does not know what he is doing. One of the complaints he had was that my Alfa was not a 2001 but a 2000 because it was manufactured in 2000. (There is a production /manufacturing plaque on all RV's somewhere on it) Most RV manufacturers can not get an RV made and titled and sold the same month they built it. I took it to an RV dealership just to make sure. They confirmed that this man does not know what he is talking about. My title says 2001 and that is how I wanted to sell it, of course. He obviously is not experienced enough to know the difference between manuf. and title dates. Get cash before you hear the blah blah blah and lose a sale with someone serious. Hard for me to believe the EMG review here. I was selling my trailer on Craigslist and received an email from Tony offering lower than what I wanted at the time, but I told him I would keep it in mind. After a couple days of showing it to flakes, driving back and forth to take measurements, and getting good offers that fizzled out, I realized my time was worth more and gave him a call to pick it up. Tony and his partner met me at my storage, looked over the trailer for about 10-15 minutes, handed me cash on site, did all of the DMV paperwork on his tailgate, and the whole deal was done within 1/2 hr. While this was my first personal trailer, I've been around the industry a long time and guys with integrity like him are hard to come by. There was no nit-picking of little things and trying to lower the price again. The trailer was in the condition I said it was in so he paid the price he promised to me. Today we took our trailer to Referral Auto Group because we were having troubles with our Satellite system. We were greeted by Paul who was very welcoming, we explained our issue and Paul listened and said we will figure it out. Then took us to the office where we meet Tony the owner. You read reviews online and think hmmm are they really as good as people post. I will have to say these guys are 100 percent professional and knowledgeable. We have dealt with several dealers/service departments and in the RV WORLD this is usually a nightmare but not the case today these guys are the BEST hands down. Ends up the problem wasn't as bad as we had expected and they quickly isolate the issue and had us out of there in no time. I highly recommend this family owned business hands down. My wife and I stopped by here the other day to look at the R.V'S by far this is bar none do not pass go do not collect $200 the best rv place on the planet. I can't stress enough how good this place is. We traveled over 100 miles just to look at the rv's they have . Although the rv's would not work with what we needed it was still well worth the trip and well worth your time to stop here. We had no regrets with the 100 miles one way and it was worth every minute to stop here. We were looking for something very specialized and they just did not sell what we needed. However I would recommend every one stop here before you move forward with any other trailer. they are only minutes away from the big dealers in Tracy and Manteca but well worth stopping here before buying anywere else.....Do not buy a trailer till you at least visit these guys. When I visited, I was positively surprised at how clean this little dealership and their units looked. I decided to visit again along with my wife to take another closer look. My husband studied what we wanted in an RV for 6 months or more. Staying up late at night watching youtubers giving great advice. He really like the idea of a small sprinter so we could boon-dock but as all smart men know, "A happy wife, A happy life" after checking out a few and going to some RV sellers in the Santa Rosa, Davis, area nothing was striking our fancy. Then we found a Fleetwood on a Sprinter chassis in Escalon. It almost sounded too good to be true. a 2010 with only 15,000 miles on it. We rode there on 0728 and met with Paul. He knew EVERYTHING about this RV from top to bottom. (unlike the lots that have too many to know anything!) He had driven it up from the San Diego area himself. He was willing to go through it from top to bottom and answer my husbands long list of questions. Tony the owner was out of town until after the 4th of of July but Paul was able to reach him so we could make a deal and lock in a price. We went back to pick it up around the 7th of July or so and met the owner Tony, his wife and adorable daughter. They had found a couple of things that weren't perfect about our Fleetwood and they VOLUNTEERED to correct them before they knew it existed. They also bought some pizza for lunch and were happy to share with us. I felt like we were all friends sitting there. We took our RV home that day and later took her back for the Mercedes recall on the airbag and the small problem they had spotted on the awning. I gladly recommend Referral Auto Group to purchase an RV. There are very few places where you can feel your getting an honest deal. The only advice I have to be careful of is there 10 year old daughter. She is quite the salesgirl! I knew I was in trouble when they opened up their shop to us (with a 20% discount) and she came to me, put her hand on my shoulder and whispered, "everyone needs toilet paper". Not often do I write a response regarding a business deal, but in this case I just can't resist. Those people at Referral Auto Group are the most friendly, helpful and considerate people I've ever done business with. The owners have a nice, orderly and casual way of seeing that you see and know everything about your potential purchase. My relative was looking for a nice fifth wheel. My wife and I found one online at Referral and went to see it. The owner showed us the Carriage Lite and it was like new! They take pride in cleaning and detailing their RV's and honestly, it did look unused. The family owned business has been involved with the RV lifestyle for decades and they know a lot about RV's. My wife and I have a 5th wheel and we were surprised at the knowledge that the owner has, and also the tips he so freely gave us.These people are very trustworthy and my relative is just overjoyed with her purchase. If she has a problem, all she does is call them and they walk her through it. The prices are very fair, I imagine, because the business is in a small town and the overhead is kept down.
