Upon arrival,…read moreyou park at a designated parking spot and let the front desk know so you can fill out paperwork in car due to covid or if you're comfortable coming in, entering with mask to fill out in the waiting room. It is such a great environment for pediatric care and littles with teeth. Our baby has teeth still erupting but he was able to get his check up, cleaning, flossing, and fluoride administered. Dr. Gregerson was so kind and so was our dental assistant and the front desk folks who helped us every step of the way and calmed mom and dad's nerves. While baby did not like it, they walked us through how to get squirmy baby in and out and did the cleaning with such finess and speed both my husband and I were stunned with how quickly that went, we were both in awe at how he was able to floss baby's tiny teeth. Everything is looking great on his development of teeth, and we look forward to setting these healthy habits so our little one looks forward to a great bill of health. The fact that they are so happy to provide positive reinforcement for anxious kids is so appreciative for us as first time parents. Even more fun was seeing they help play movies like Cars for our baby and there were even video games that my husband indulged in. We can't wait to return in 6 months when our baby goes back so we can keep up making sure his teeth and mouth are in top shape.

I highly recommend Dr. Vasut and his office. We have been going to him for eight plus years now…read moreand would not want to go to any other pediatric dentist! I originally took my son to Dr. Vasut for a second opinion. He was recommended by a preschool teacher who had had a good experience. The dentist we had been seeing for the previous few years was proposing some drastic work to be done, including putting him under, which I did not think was necessary considering his demeanor and ability to cooperate. From the moment we walked in the door at Cedar Park Pediatric Dentistry, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Vasut spent time talking with, listening and getting to know my son before ever looking in his mouth. He reviewed the X-rays we had brought with us (didn't request that we retake X-rays on his machines.) He spent time listening to my rendition of the other dentist's prognosis after giving his opinion. The verdict was that my son did not need the level of work that the other dentist had proposed, nor would he need sedation for a cavity. Of course I was relieved that his professional opinion agreed with my gut feel. I was extremely impressed by how he interacted with me and my son. We immediately switched to Dr. Vasut. I have recommended him multiple times to friends and have only heard good experiences. One of my friends had done the whole braces routine with one child, has a non-brusher for her other child and she continues to love Dr. Vasut and recommend him! We have been through many cavities (my son was prone to them with his baby teeth), Dr. Vasut and staff have always been firm in reinforcing the hygiene without shaming or being mean. We have watched difficult baby teeth that are in the way of the adult teeth and determined whether to pull or not. (One my son was able to work out the other we pulled a year later before it became a real issue. The root on the second one was 2/3 the length of the tooth!) My daughter goes to Dr. Vasut too and really likes him. She has had less challenging teeth, so there are less interesting stories for her... It is never a battle to get my kids to the dentist office. Both kids like the games in the waiting room, the coin rewards and putting their name in the trout! We are in the middle of doing braces on my son. The timelines and steps have been clearly communicated. Billing has been efficient and straight forward. The office is always clean and welcoming. The appointments are timely and efficient, rarely have we had to wait after our appointment time, and often they have taken the kids early if we are there. The front desk staff is welcoming and wonderful at working to schedule kids together for multiple appointments (like cleanings with braces checks). I am very thankful that we have found this group and appreciative of their ongoing hard work.

Erica, my hygienist, educated me on my gum health, and noticed signs of wear on my teeth due to clenching; which I imagine I do when I'm sleeping. Erica took photos of each tooth, measured my gums, and validated that my oral hygiene practices at home are on par. During my examination, we saw signs of decay, and there was enough time in the schedule for me to start the process of placing a crown on my tooth. From the moment Dr. James numbed me to the moment my temporary crown was placed, I was treated with the utmost care. The team remembered my son, who visited not too long ago, and were as joyful and relatable as can be. They even offered me a cozy blanket during my procedure! I mean, who does that? Pecan Park Family Dentistry does! All in all, though it was my first time at their practice, I was made to feel like family. Like I was being taken care of by my girlfriends, and I am beyond grateful to have crossed paths with them!

After more than 10 years with this practice, I'm incredibly disappointed to be writing this…read more I'm autistic, and like many neurodivergent people, I struggle with scheduling and making it to appointments. I want to be clear: I am already deeply aware of this, and I feel embarrassed and awful when it happens. Nothing feels worse than standing at the garage door with my keys in hand, frozen, shaking, overwhelmed, and filled with guilt. This isn't carelessness or laziness, it's something I actively work to manage. I also understand that missed appointments affect a business, and I am willing to accept financial penalties when appropriate. I appreciate that Pecan Park Dental has waived some missed appointment fees for me in the past. However, my most recent experience felt shaming and dismissive of my disability, and I left in tears. The morning of a scheduled appointment, I was called and told my insurance would not cover the visit because I had hit my maximum. I was told I would need to pay $540 out of pocket for a routine cleaning. I could not afford that and chose to reschedule for a future date when my insurance would cover it. At that time, I was told I would still be charged a $100 late cancellation fee, even though this cost was only communicated to me the morning of the appointment. When I returned months later for the rescheduled visit, I tried to explain that this situation resulted from an insurance and communication issue. Instead of working with me, I was repeatedly pressured in the waiting room to pay the $100 fee. I explained multiple times that I did not have the money that day. I was asked for credit card information over and over, in front of my daughter and other patients. It was humiliating. I ended up crying in the office while still being asked for payment. When I later tried to explain the situation, I was sent a chart of my missed appointments. It felt less like an attempt to understand and more like an effort to reinforce guilt. That approach isn't helpful, it adds to the shame and makes it even harder to access care. Experiences like this are exactly why many neurodivergent people avoid healthcare altogether. It becomes easier to avoid appointments than to face anxiety, shame, and financial penalties. I don't believe this is about bad intent, but it reflects a system that prioritizes policies and revenue over patient-centered care and basic compassion. After more than a decade as a loyal patient, and bringing multiple family members to this practice, I expected more understanding and professionalism. Because of this experience, I will be moving my care, along with my family's care, to a different provider. I hope this practice reflects on how it communicates with and supports patients, especially those with anxiety, autism, or other neurodivergent needs. No patient should be made to feel this way while seeking care
