I've been coming here for my pedicures at the recommendation of a friend because she, like me, has trouble with ingrown nails and they have handled them well here. I see Jessica; my friend sees Vicky. I like that unlike some of the spa/salon combos in the area, they have a quiet room away from the more boisterous salon area for pedicure service. There is a rotating seasonal selection of scrub and lotion fragrances to choose from. I feel like they could use a broader array of colors to choose from, but the lacquer does last a long time. Jessica is very detail oriented and does a good job ensuring any ingrown nail issues are attended to. She's also very nice and fun to chat with. Glad I got this recommendation! read more

I really liked my experience here! I was due for a serious haircut and needed some help. I'm someone who usually just does cuts so I go to cheaper places, but thought I'd upgrade this time by coming here instead as a walk-in and got Marissa. Marissa was so professional and a great vibe - I was really impressed with how she handles clients and what they are asking for for their face shape, and was struck by how personable she was! She then told me she used to own a salon in Chicago and it definitely made sense. She did a great job giving my hair shape and the cut looks really good! I highly recommend her! Let me start off my review by saying I have followed my stylist Krista EVERYWHERE. This is by far my favorite salon yet, though! The salon is clean, a lot of parking, next to a Starbucks (which is a HUGE plus if you anticipate getting a lot of work done!), broad range of services (nails, hair color, treatments, ect.) and friendly service. I struggle with certain salons as I'm sure most of us do. You know the typical run of the mill snotty hair girl who instantly judges as you walk in. This salon is the complete opposite! I was greeted immediately, asked if I needed anything on multiple occasions, made aware of all their promotions(which were amazing!). Now, to review Krista. People.. I cannot tell you enough how amazing she is w/ color. I have naturally dark brown hair but I dream of having locks like J.Lo.. which is obviously a huge process! Krista is always realistic with me and gives me her best opinion. She knows my style so well that she's able to suggest what she thinks I'd like.. and I ultimately always go w/ what she suggests. She's done amazing balayage color, all over honey blonde, and all over dark for me and every time she makes sure my hair can handle the color and let's me know ahead of time what to expect. Another thing I love about seeing her is she is up front with how much things will cost. I always end up adding on little things and she makes sure to let me know what everything adds up.. something most stylists will not do. FINALLY.. this last time I went in I did their split end treatment. I was super nervous because I've never had it done before but my hair feels amazing! I would give this place five stars if the interior and atmosphere were a little better, and since to me first impressions are made as you walk in the door, I just can't go there - however - the services were superior. The decor was a little too dark, the smells of perm/colorant too strong, and overall the place too noisy (even in the spa services area another lady voiced my complaint about a really loud and obnoxious man on the other side). Now on to the review: I won a charity auction for several services and because I have a wedding this Sat I decided to book the facial, mani/pedi. Facial was first and OMG they have the most comfortable treatment tables ever. The esthetician told me they spared no expense and went with the highest end, fully adjustable at many points - and you can tell. The facial was awesome. Because I am pregnant there is a limit to what I can get done chemical wise - mine was the hydrating or some other. Great mini massage, head, scalp, arms, neck, shoulders - and the best part I didn't come home to my husband saying - who beat up your face? The mani/pedi exactly the same. The pedicure tub/seat could have been better - they have amazing ones at Zazu - much more comfy and the new ones at Neo Bella too. This one was ok, but the attention to service was extremely worth it. Warm scented neck wrap, drinks, even spa slips ons and a protective bag for my shoes to go home in. My nails look terrific - nice and full, plump - I hate when they wind up looking like paper thin spoons. I rather not give out the names of these wonderful ladies, but I already booked a few more appointments - so for facials check out Rochelle and for mani/pedi check out Christine. When i have a vision of what a salon atmosphere should be, this is exactly what i imagine!!! You walk in the front door and are greated right away every single time. There is always more than one girl at the front desk waiting to help you get started with your services. Another great "salon" relaxing affect is the waterfall/logo. You already feel calm and ready to relax while you're there. I started going to Michael Graham salon to get my nails done. I am getting married in August ('10) and wanted to get used to the nails before my actual wedding day. My nail tech did a thorough walkthrough on how the nails are put on and how they eventually become your own. There is no nail damage that will ever occur to the actual nail and no drills are used. I was sold at the no power tools like other smalll nail places. What solidifies my review into being five stars is due to my recent experience. It was 4:00 on a Friday afternoon (they close at 5:00) and I needed a quick trim to get my hair healthy for a trial run through I was doing that following Sunday. They were able to get me in extremely last minute. I got the most relaxing shampoo I have ever received in my life and walked out loving my hair cut more than I ever expected. I'm very critical when it comes to health & beauty services but I will continue to recommend Michael Graham Salon!!! read more

I reserved a hair cut appointment via Yelp, received an email confirmation, and when I arrived, the salon did not have my appointment on file. I was very disappointed to be unable to get my hair cut and that there was a failure with the online booking system. I appreciated that the receptionist said she would let the owner know and they would look into the issue, but other than asking if I wanted to re-book, which I was not keen to do considering my first appointment did not work out, the salon did not try to squeeze me in, take my name to follow up, or offer a coupon for a future visit. read more

I'm not the most loyal girl when it comes to salons. I will jump around to try new services or if their are specials. However, I might have to reconsider my behavior and settle down. Each time I go here I have been met with a smiling face in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I have had waxing and nail services and have been pleased with both. Hi I am writing this to make aware of what took place my husband had romantic get away, he will not tell me where was going to be it was a surprise but he mentioned that the restaurant that we were going to eat before arriving to our final destination was going to be a fancy Italian restaurant and he wanted to pay for a make over, so I will look good, knowing him I knew he was going to rent a limo and all, he called the salon and explained everything that he wanted done about $150 they said including pedicure, manicure, haircut and style, I thought was pricy as I have a place who do porcelain nails for $25 but thought it must be a very high professional place, the appointment was for 9:45 am as we were leaving Sunday afternoon, the alarm went off, but I was already awake as I was excited, I get a text message saying, we will see you at 10:45 am, I got really confused and thought maybe my husband got the time mixed up, I tried calling before 9:45am to make sure but nobody was there, I then left at 10am, when I got there I told them who I was and they said your appointment was at 9:45am, I explained what happened and showed them the text message that I got, they were very rude, and they said we won't be able to do the pedicure because you were late. They took me first to do the manicure I thought was going to be the porcelain nails, I asked how much the porcelain nails were she said $74 I am like what, so what is what you are going to do? Just filed my nails and painting them that is $40 something dollars that I can do better at home with my professional manicure kit, she just used a regular file not even electric or anything like it, just by that I felt very disappointed, then next is my haircut, by this time I don't know my husband have called and they offered a free complementary service, but of course is free they are not going to care, the girl did a horrible job cutting my hair and no style, I kept talking about the amazing surprise my husband has for me and I want my hair styled but the hair dresser won't do nothing and says oh this looks great even for a fancy restaurant, I kept saying I was going to a fancy restaurant I wanted something nice, she refused of course I didn't know they were giving a free service and as I am not paying they are not going to do a thing, when I got out to pay they said it was free but of course you can tell they are not happy, I even said at least let me give a tip, but I shouldn't their attitude were horrible and I didn't look any different than how I use my hair every day, I could have done something better we were so disappointed, my husband called back to speak to the owner and she says to go back so my husband says to call Linda the owner, and I called she was not in, they asked if I wanted to leave a message, I said yes if she can call back, never called back, my husband calls a few days later to see and this lady answers and is very rude with him and hungs up, I will not go back there not even if is free, the worse part is been a month my hair looks horrible until today and I can't barely do anything with my hair even my husband asked what happened to your hair since they cut it nothing I do fix the problem, it is horrible, I am in Costa Rica right now, I am going to see if in a 3rd world Country they can fix my hair, very sad indeed with the technology these days and they are worse than the dark ages, shaping my nails with just a regular file, I can do much better at home, paying $40 something for that wow. Never again they will have my business and we have money to pay. But we will pay for results and professional sevice not a Wannabe salon. read more

I'd never been to a professional hair salon before this. Every time I dyed my hair, I did it at home with a box dye. I called last-minute and they set up an appointment for me with Jaclyn, who was very kind and accommodating. I'm trying to go from near-black to an ashy blonde, and she spent a good five minutes advising me on the best way to go about doing that and why. Jaclyn worked on my hair gently and thoroughly, then set me up under a dryer chair for a while. They have magazines, or you can look at your phone. She checked on me regularly whilst I waited there, then afterward, gave me a haircut and I was on my merry way. Many compliments ensued! Big thanks to her. I take my kids here for haircuts...they always come out great but make sure you ask when you set up your appointments how much the stylists charge. My first visit was $52 for two kids cuts. The second visit was $81. Nothing was mentioned to me when I made the appointment that we would be seeing stylists that charge what I consider adult rates for kids cuts. I feel a little taken advantage of after this last visit. read more

I've had 2 great highlight experiences with Taylor. I have been getting my hair partially highlighted for about 6 years now at various salons, and Taylor has been one of the best. She knows how to color hair very well (I like mine pretty ashy and she gets it spot on) and I love her technique of placing the highlights. Went here about a year and a half ago and I refuse to return. I forgot the hair stylists name, but I walked out of there with the worst hair cut of my life. She never washed my hair and cut it dry. I then asked if she could wash it, since that's how I always get my hair cut and she refused. This place is very nice, and they have a lot offer. I went in February, and got a wash and cut. I brought in a picture of the cut I wanted. I was told that my head wasn't the right shape and that that haircut wouldn't look the same on me. I've been wrestling with this for almost 7 months. Did my stylist do me a favor by not giving me the haircut I asked for? Was she saying I was too fat for that haircut by saying my head wasn't the right shape? Was she saying she couldn't do the haircut? I just don't know how to feel about it, but I haven't been back. If I can't bring in a picture of a haircut and get that haircut, there is no point in having someone else cut my hair. I guess I just lost faith in someone else being able to cut my hair better than me. I have a new picture of a haircut I really want.
