dip n dots + strawberry black tea
    Crystal P.

Friend got a milk tea and said it was mid - the drink and the tapioca balls. Prices were better than other boba spots so I decided to drink a drink for myself. I got a strawberry black tea, and it tasted really weird. I think it was the syrup that they used. I'm not sure. I unfortunately couldn't drink more than a couple of sips to confirm I wouldn't be drinking the rest. I also got their packaged dip n dots and was sad to see the pieces were clumped together. It was a double fail for me. Also, they charge a 35 cent credit card fee. On a brighter note, service was great though! tl;dr don't recommend this place and won't be returning

Boba here was pretty good. We got the milk tea boba and the taro milk tea boba and both had good flavor. This place is located next to the restaurant. But it's a different entrance. I was a bit confused at first when I got there but then found it. Service was fast and it's small inside with limited seating. But great for grab and go.

Just tastes like milk with a pinch of matcha. The color alone gave it away that it was going to be bad. The boba was not good either...Definitely a skip

All milk teas are curated with a soy based creamer!!! The staff was super friendly which we appreciated, as we didn't check the menu (see photo) beforehand and were quite overwhelmed with all the options. After going back and forth between the Wintermelon green milk tea (which tasted like cotton candy according to the cashier) and the Thai milk tea, I picked the Thai milk tea and had absolutely no regrets. 25% sweet with boba was not sweet at all, but which I initially didn't love, but since the size was quite large (one size, I believe), the barely-sweet drink turned out to be just perfect and didn't give me a sugar crash like how sometimes boba does. The boba itself too was very enjoyable. My sister ordered the green milk tea at 25% sweet, which was also barely sweet at all and embodied a strong floral flavor, just what she was looking for. The drinks also didn't come with half a cup of ice. Yes we ordered less ice, but we noticed there wasn't any ice taking up space in the cup, though the drinks were cold. AMAZING. This is hardly ever the case at popular boba chains. I would 100% come back here for the high quality and great value of these drinks! I am a huge boba fan and this place exceeded my expectations. They also have a thai restaurant next door (which is what made me go with the thai iced tea)!

Good boba! Great for those who like a light milk tea. Boba: Both firm and giving and the overall taste is excellent. Milk tea: The milk tea is bit on the lighter side almost a bit watery. It's not bad by any means but if you're looking for more of a less creamy taste, this would be for you. Definitely a must try and the portions are great. Good option to add to your westside boba catalog.

Was craving some boba and this was one of the only spots in the area. I got passionfruit black tea with aloe & i loved how it had passionfruit seeds! The drink itself was really tasty but I was disappointed how 1/4 of my drink was foam:( I used to be a boba barista and the foam was caused because this machine was shaking the hell out of the drink haha. All in all, I would definitely come here to support a small business, but make them shake the drinks less!

Everything was good here, mellow and chill service. Inside is a little interesting in design, but they have places to sit and enjoy. Your pearl tea. A tea itself was well made in a boba was firm the way I like it, the low sugar option is actually pretty low and sugar which is good.

Lemme say, I really appreciate Ekkamai's attention to detail on dealing with the covid situation. They had a stack of styluses to sign your electronic check. You grab a clean one and after you sign, you put it in the "used" canister. Once the canister gets a bit full, someone takes them and disinfects them. I appreciate this attention to detail. On to the boba! Two thumbs up for the boba tea. It's nice to get good boba nearby and not have to drive to Torrance or Sawtelle!

    Uh $5 for this ?

Paid $5 for half a drink lol, rip. The drink is pretty good but if you're not going to fill up the drink for what I paid for then charge less or have a smaller size. I made zero adjustments and this is what they gave me. ----- Update: owner reached out immediately and handled this. Thank you for a good customer experience.

One of the only boba places around this area, it's a very simple establishment with basic choices, so don't expect an atmosphere. You can find milk teas and fruit teas but no blended or elaborate flavors. It's good for what it is but I wish they would enhance the menu options with more interesting choices. The service is good, with easy and simple ordering system. Ask for a stamp card to collect rewards.

Do you have Bobba available immediately at opening? A reviewer said you don't offer it until 12...

If we have boba from the night before we'll usually give it free if a customer requests it. It's softer but many people are okay with that. Otherwise the first batch is usually done by 11:40.

Have the hours of operations changed because of Covid-19?

Yes we have been closing at 8:30 instead and also closing early for curfew.

    Do they have milk tea?

    Yes.

    Do you have indoor seating?

They have a table and chairs, a couch, and a bench to sit on!

    Do they have caffeine-free options?

Yes we have a decaf black tea and coffee option or some drinks do not contain any caffeine.

Do you have no sugar boba milk teas?

    Yes

    Is there a vegan option?

Almond, soy milk and non dairy creamer available

Do you guys have a menu and also Thai tea?

Yes we do. We now are starting to offer Taro as well.

Do they offer taro bubble tea?

Currently we do not. We are trying to avoid powders for the tea flavors, however, we are looking at a taro topping that we can use instead.

Unfortunately, my experience at Great White in Venice left me disappointed, and the main reason was the service. First, we arrived around 9:15 a.m. after seeing that the restaurant opened at 8:00 a.m., only to find out that opening had been delayed until 9:30 a.m. Honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. We waited outside, and when guests started arriving, we got in line and ended up being among the first few parties seated. The food itself was good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My issue was with our server, Nate. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I also work in the hospitality industry, so I try to be very understanding. However, the service felt extremely cold, detached, and uninterested from the beginning to the end of our meal. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness or a formal introduction, but there was virtually no warmth, no engagement, and no sense that he wanted to be there. Throughout our visit, an older gentleman working on the floor (possibly a busser or food runner) showed far more hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests than our actual server did. After we had finished eating, I ordered an orange juice while waiting for some pancakes to-go. I was asked whether I wanted the juice for here or to-go, and I specifically requested it for here. I then waited approximately 30 minutes. During that time, I received my check, paid my bill (including a generous tip), and watched multiple tables that had been seated after us receive their drinks and food while I continued waiting. My server walked by several times, looked in our direction, but never followed up or asked if we were still waiting on anything. Eventually, I flagged down another server, who was very kind and immediately looked into the situation. She returned and explained that the orange juice had apparently never made it onto the screen. However, I had taken a photo of my receipt, and the orange juice was clearly listed and charged. The issue was never the $10 orange juice. Mistakes happen. We all make them. The disappointing part was that nobody simply acknowledged the mistake or offered a sincere apology. A quick "I'm sorry, that was my mistake" would have completely changed the experience. One additional observation: I was told that cash is only accepted if you have the exact amount. That's perfectly fine, but I think that policy should be clearly posted at the entrance or on the restaurant's website so guests know beforehand. Again, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely wanted to leave a positive one because the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, hospitality is about more than just delivering food to a table. Based on this experience, it seemed that our server either dislikes working in customer service or was having a very bad day. Either way, many other staff members we interacted with demonstrated the warmth, energy, and hospitality that guests hope to experience when dining out.
