The place was so full of clients on a Thursday afternoon so make sure to call atleast a day ahead. I hate giving out bad reviews but I definitely need to address it on here. I've been a customer of this salon since last year. Granted I don't always go here all the time but I do go there at least once every three months. The service and details used to be very good. The nail technicians used to be very friendly and they always smiled whenever they saw a customer walk in. At my recent two visit, they turned away customers who didn't have an appointment. Which I totally understand because the business picked up pretty nicely. I always get a pedicure and gel manicure. Back then, the stone massages used to be five minutes long and there would be a great amount of pressure for your massage. Now, they just slap lotion on your legs *rub rub rub, done!*. Also, it is kind of painful when they try to get the gunk out from under your toes. Gel manicure normally last about 2-3 weeks. It has only been 3 days and it already chipped! See attached pictures. I called them (on a weekday) and asked if they can fit me in for a last minute gel mani and regular pedi and they put me in right away. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and asked what I needed. I told them that I had an appointment and that I needed a gel mani and regular pedi and they seated me right away. The pedicure was amazing and I love that they used a hot stone plus gave me a pretty long foot massage. I felt so relaxed and loved it! Wow, talk about attention to detail! Had Misty do my gel manicure. It looks so great. I don't cut my cuticles so I usually end up with a jagged polish that only lasts a little over a week. Not today, Misty is so good that my polish looks perfect. I'm sure this will last 3-4 weeks, but I'll probably see her again before then. I didn't get the name of the lady that did my pedicure but she's also good. Not too stoked about the "deluxe" - there's nothing special about it. Hot stones, yea but the whole massage felt mediocre. Awesome polish though, again.. Attention to detail! $53 for both. I've been looking for a great nail salon since moving here to Pacifica, but haven't had much luck... Until today. I loooove this place. Called in same day on a weekday approximately an hour before early in the morning and she set up an appointment for me. I'm not a spa girl and this was the fist time I've done a manicure, even more gel manicure, as well as a pedicure. So the place is really relaxing and not much if any talking. Would be cool if they had relaxing music in the background kinda awkward science at first idk maybe that's just me. Their massage chairs are AMAZING. I got a deluxe pedicure for $32 and gel manicure for $25 idk but I recall the whole total was exactly $60. I had this sweet amazing girl, I forgot her name :( I think Nancy not sure, but she truly was GREAT. She took her time and really accommodated everything for me. She massaged my feet so well for over an hour! This deal included foot wax (like a mask for those who don't know. I didn't wax or shave thought I'm literally gonna get my legs waxed before :/ yea that was very smart of me) also had hot stones and warm clothes and this great peach lotion and more massage up to your knee. I understand it's part of the deluxe but she was paying full attention and actually enjoying it while I was observing the lady next to me also getting a pedicure, unfortunately her girl was not really concentrated so I'm so pleased for my pedicure experience as it was WONDERFUL! As for my manicure, I'm pretty sure I had Jeanette although she seemed kind I wasn't really feeling a vibe but maybe cuz it's morning and no one feels like talking. I think for Jeanette I would give her 4/5 cuz the water and stones for me were there before I sat down and idk if the were clean or she had used them for the lady before me. Now let's assume the best and say it was clean, when she told me to put my hands in, 45 min into my pedicure, the water was cold and I think I was more shocked and I didn't feel comfortable asking her to change it or maybe it's because the place is dead silent it felt awkward. I just wish she was more communicative. All in all, she did well and I loved my nails. In regards to my gel manicure, the color was so pretty (pearly peach) and it actually lasted me a whole week and almost a half before it started to chip a bit but not noticeable. The only down side is removing the gel manicure as I did not know how much they charged so I decided to do it myself and that was the worst idea EVER. Will attach pictures. Leaving the salon, they give you a business card and they mark the back every time you pay cash. Basically, you bring this card and they document your visit. The best time to get your nails done is when you have the time! My sister and I went for the first time two weeks ago to get the gel manicure. We both LOVED ours! Both of the manicurist who did our nails were sweet, professional, and gentle. My sister got the mint color, and I got a light pearl with sparkles (picture to follow). The reason it's 4 out of 5 stars is because it took a while. I think we were there for an hour, maybe hour and a half. But I was in no rush and my sister and I were just chatting the whole time! PLUS in all fairness I'm not sure if gel takes more time because of the process to make sure they're basically indestructible. All in all - my nails looked perfect, super cute place, clean and hygienic, amazing job on my nails, and they did not chip at all! I'm going today to change out my colors :) read more

No crowd, seats were very comfortable, i served and the lady was nice and they barley even chit chat which is always nice they were talking with us about our day..we got the delxue spa pedicure its 22$ for hot stone massage! Worth it, it was a good temp and they took awhile w ur legs and feet my only thing is i wanted lil more pressure.. I was there today 5/12/18 for an acrylic till. The lady doing my nails thought the set I had on wasn't done well, and since I had just been there 2 weeks ago and got a full set she said, "I'll give you a full set but I am only going to charge you for a fill". Okay that's good. So when I go to pay I was paying a different lady and told her I was paying for a fill. She runs my card and gives me the receipt for $35. I told her the lady told me she was just going to charge me for a fill. She said that is the fill price, that the full set is $45. Well no I paid $35 for my full set 2 weeks ago. So fine I left but on the way out I checked the board and it says $28 for an acrylic fill. I won't be returning here. Which sucks because the lady who did my nails seems to have done a really good job. But the lady who charged me flat out lied so I won't be giving them anymore business. read more

I've been a customer here on and off for a couple years now. For the most part, this salon is accommodating, the service is friendly, and select people do an excellent job. The only reason for the reduction of a star is because of the following: 1) There isn't consistency with quality with every staff member 2) When I made my appointment, I specifically asked to have both a pedicure & manicure done at the same time due to time constraints, but that didn't happen (luckily I planned extra time for this since this has happened before) 3) As mentioned above, you have to figure out who does a good job. I will not be coming back to this nail salon. About 4 weeks ago I came to get my nails done (dip) and the nail tech Misty at the end of my service walked me over to the counter to charge me out. I gave her my debit card to pay and she looks down into my wallet and says "do you have cash?" which then I responded and said No not today sorry. She then says to me in a snarky tone SO you're going to add my TIP on your card? I said yes, I'm sorry I dont have cash today. It doesn't end there she then proceeds to say HOW MUCH ARE YOU TIPPING ME? I then tell her the dollar amount. Misty then goes on to charge me out, hands me back my card, is having a whispering side conversation with another tech, the receipt prints out and im standing there thinking I needed to sign something. Mind you the entire time she's ignoring me- avoiding to make eye contact. She finally looks up annoyed and says in the most rude voice DO YOU NEED SOMETHING?? I said oh no... Best nail salon I've ever been to! I have been a regular customer here for two years and I have never been disappointed. I usually have Misty, Ann or Tina do my nails and they are very accommodating. Misty will kindly do any design I desire and she does it flawlessly! If you are a acrylic kind of girl, Ann will do an amazing job! I use to love this place but lately they have gone down the hill. First I came with my stepdaughter and the lady who did her acrylics took 2 hours! Yes 2 hours on just the nails and did a horrible job! My stepdaughter nails were extremely thick and uneven. She hated it !! After that I still decided to give them another chance and went to do my nails there. The lady who did them managed to rip of my cuticles to the point they were bleeding. My nails were ok but the nail polish was missing in many places and started at half of my nail. Every time I go there they give me a different person who does my acrylics and there is only 3 girls that do them right. Loved this place! I came here to have my nails done for my wedding and they were very patient giving me exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job. They did a gel ombre with glitter and rhinestones (see photo). It lasted for 2 weeks before it peeled a little but I waited until week 3 to have them removed because they still looked pretty good. My normal pedicure lasted 3 weeks before chipping. Looking forward to returning!! read more

About two weeks ago I was heading out on a trip to Costa Rica (it's Summer there!) and it was going to be that kind of balmy, Central-American beachy kind of heat. I needed a last minute nail appointment (the day before I was leaving) and Refresh fit me in at the exact time I needed. When I arrived they had a technician doing my pedicure and another tech doing my manicure. This was fabulous because doing both took only a little over the hour and I had limited time. I usually do a gel mani and regular pedi. The gel mani didn't chip at all when I was in Costa Rica! And it lasted over two weeks. It was comfortable, clean and well-staffed at Refresh. My second time, I made an appointment at 4pm and wasn't seated for my appointment until 4:20pm-ish.... Made me question if making an appointment here was even worth it. I believe your 10 times coming in paying with cash you receive a free nail session or discount? I always come to refresh for getting my nails done. Today was my first time getting acrylics at Refresh, they did a ok job. First I had three different women do my nails I had to keep jumping from desk to desk which I understand the First Lady had her client come in so I had to move desks but then I had two other women do my nails. The overall shape is really pretty besides my thumbs that are not coffin shape and don't match the with of each other. The polish is beautiful, but I also have gaps between the start of my cuticles and where the color starts they look kinda grown out even though I've only had them for an hour. And because of that I have to get a fill earlier then when I normally would. I do see my self coming back for acrylics one more time to give them another chance and see if it was just because I had three people separately do my nails. read more

I made a same day appointment over the phone for a mani/pedi. When I arrived I did not have to wait and there were two technicians working on me at the same time, one doing my pedicure and one doing my manicure. They both did a fantastic job and were very nice to talk to. The prices are perfect and they prefer to have tips in cash, but they do except credit cards. There is also plenty of parking! I will definitely be going back here regularly. The only improvement that could be made is the polishes could be color coordinated on the shelves to make choosing a color easier/faster. read more

Wanna know how to make a pregnant lady happy? Massage her legs and feet and make them look beautiful. (Not that she'll be able to see them very often, given that big ole belly and all!) The massage chairs are just so-so here, but the leg/foot massage that comes with the standard pedi is pretty darn good - nice and deep, the way I like it - not just smooshing lotion around the way they do at other places. The actual nail-work is quite good as well. They're very precise, no missing nail-sides or overlapping on skin in the 3 times I've been here. They seem to remain presentable for at least 2-3 weeks. Best is to make an appointment, although they do take walk-ins. (I did that today, and they were able to see me after maybe a 5 minute wait, and the lady appeared to still really take her time with my nails.) So there ya have it: one very simple way to make a pregnant lady happy. Wait, I think this place makes just about anyone happy.
