To Whom It May Concern, Today 12/25/2021 after about 5 years of not going to a Movie Theater (Long Beach Town Center), I was really excited to go watch the new Spiderman movie with family and friends. When I got there everything was fine and got in line to buy some popcorn and drinks and since I was the only one who hadn't had time to eat and most places were closed, I saw a cheeseburger and fries combo on the menu and decided to buy it. When we order, I asked the cashier how long it would take to get the hamburger and he said 4 to 5 min. The theater was really busy so I suspected it would really take more time, maybe 10 to 15 min so I thought it would be fine to wait. We paid, everyone else went in to sit and I stayed to wait for my burger. I waited for 15 min and asked one the cashier about my order and without even offering to help, she just replied that I had to wait another 10 minutes because there was only one person in the back (at the same time a supervisor passed by and didn't even offer to help or do anything) so I just stepped back and waited but noticed another lady who had been there waiting for an oder and asked the same question I asked and she got the same answer (20 min had passed and the movie was already starting)...By that time I was already a bit annoyed but decided to just let go and continue waiting. My problem with all this was not that your staff made me miss the beginning of the movie I paid to watch but that while I waited, 4 people who had just arrived to pick up an order, were served and given about 6 food items right away and me the other lady who had already been there for 25 minutes were still waiting for our orders. After I had enough of the BS service that you guys have, I went and asked to check on my order one more time and the answer I got completely blew my mind... first, I got a nasty look from the cashier that I had asked before and second, the person who replied to my request said.... "you order a cheeseburger, I will go ahead and make it for you right now" ...just to remind you, I had already been waiting for 30 minutes and missed a good part of the movie and I still had to wait another 10 min for someone to make my precooked, unmelted cheese, overpriced cheeseburger... 'Give me a fn break!!! Just a few suggestions from a person who has worked in the hospitality industry for many years. 1.- Set the right expectations, if you know that one cheeseburger and fries is going to take 20+ minutes, tell your customer the truth so we know and can decide if we want to wait. 2.- if you know, you are not delivering what you promised, offer to help and be kind... we pay for a service not for a sh...ty attitude. 3.- Be honest, I was told there was only one person in the kitchen and I saw three people handing out the food. And finally, teach your management to pay attention to what is going on and trained them to step in when their staff is behind and need help. Came here one afternoon to relax and enjoy a movie. It's been awhile since I set foot into a theater. Edwards LB gave me everything I needed: a clean, comfortable cushy seat while I enjoy the quality film among a respectful, quiet, cell phone-off crowd. Well... at one point before the preview, an elderly couple was talking quite loudly to each other... it was actually kind of cute. But once the movie started, I felt like we were the only ones in the theater. What more can you ask for? ^^ thumbs up!! During the film, I noticed some of the workers were pacing up and down the aisles... I wasn't sure what they were looking for... dangerous looking criminals? underage kids? Nice movie theater but the parking lot sucks (always busy), and the clientele can be a bit ghetto. The food is awful, and the concession service is SLOW... I mean REAL slow. Is it my luck or what? This place seems to have problems more than other theaters that I been to. I have been interrupted on different occasions twice and got evacuated a few times. When I used to live in Long Beach, I would come to this theater fairly often when I would go out for a movie night. This theater definitely is one of the bigger ones around and the seats are stadium seating and cushy. There is also plenty of parking, but just know that this plaza (Long Beach Town Center) shares the lot with other businesses (Sam's Club, PetSmart, Barnes & Noble) and eateries (Zen Buffet, TIGF, Ben & Jerry's), so don't expect to get really close parking, especially during a busy weekend. Now granted the price for a movie ticket isn't what it used to be back in the 80's, but if you buy your tickets at Costco (I am sure Sam's Club also offers this deal), you can save a few dollars (or you could just wait til it comes out on video and watch it then... but you'll be one of the last ones of your friends to see that 1 awesome movie that everyone is talking about though). I was never the one to purchase food from the snack bar since those items are always quite overly priced (this is where theaters make the majority of their money.. I know this because I worked at a movie theater when I was in high school, so surprisingly they do not make their profit from the movie tickets themselves) so I always sneak in food in my purse (back in the day, when I was in high school and also during my undergrad, I would sneak into a 2nd, or 3rd and even a 4th movie to really get the best bang for my buck.. but alas, I am much older now and so I no longer do that). But anyways, movies here always played smoothly and I never had any problems seeing the screen from anywhere I sat (I have never saw in the first 3 rows of the theater here, but I can imagine the uncomfortableness of your neck hurting throughout the duration of the movie), If I had not moved out of Long Beach, I'd still come here with my husband to catch the next best latest movie (because I don't want to be that person who has to wait til Redbox and not be able to talk about it). read more

This whole towne center is very large, but parking here during popular hours will always be tough. The worst is a Friday or Saturday evening, so be prepared to circle around looking for parking and parking all the way by Lowes or Barnes n Noble to go to the theater. Other than that, the theater is nice, the little place by the theater is nice too. Lots of people and kids and families, and some evenings there is someone performing on that little stage. read more

This is the movie theater I most come to because it's the closest to my house. There's really nothing bad about this location but there's nothing either to be blown away by. When I come here, we always sneak candy & food in my girlfriend's purse since we all know how pricy theater food & drink is. The only thing that stands out is that they have the largest movie selection than any other movie theater in the 562 so I suppose that's something to rave about. FYI: Buy your ticket vouchers from Costco if you have a membership, you can't beat 2 for $17. You might have to park a little far on weekends before 8 PM. i've been going to this theatre since I was a kid. I remember watching Star Wars Episode I with my family. The last movie I saw was "American Sniper". The employees here are always nice. i like how there is a security guard just in case something goes down. What i also love about this location is that there are movie screenings and i have been to a few. Theatre was practically empty which was why we chose it during COVID times, but once we arrived we realized why it was empty while all otters showing Spider-Man were full. Very basic theater, seats don't recline. Sound was far too load (bring ear plugs for a more normal sound experience). Staff at the concession stand was rude and unwilling to properly help customers. No trays to share large popcorn with your kids unless you purchase bags at the full price of the popcorn, no drink carriers, no napkins. Definitely do not recommend this movie theater. read more

i love to go out and watch movies! and if you do too.. don't come here if you want a good experience. they really need to deep clean the theater, it seems pretty filthy. i was walking to look for a seat and all the seats looked so dirty and had some popcorn from the last showing. while we were waiting for the movie to start instead of previews/trailers.. it was silent with the lights going on and off for about 20 minutes.. sometimes we would hear the preview but wouldn't see it on screen. get it together!!!!! read more

I've been here a couple times with my girlfriend and I'm not too thrilled going back here. It's ALWAYS dirty and unorganized. Ordering popcorn is a disaster, especially when you notice that behind the counter, it's FLOODED with popcorn on the ground and god knows what else! And the service, it's subpar. I understand their frustration with people. And then the seats... well at least my seat won't stop squeaking. So imagine my struggle trying not to be too uncomfortable or else I disrupt someone's time by having the squeakiest seat in the whole theater. Other than that, the popcorn is trash! It was like our cashier gave us the old stale popcorn! Or maybe she picked it up from the ground when we weren't looking. First off lines to get an icee and popcorn are ridiculously long by the time you get to order your showtime already started and you will miss the beginning of the movie on top of that expensive just for some popcorn and an icee almost 30 $ and to top it off the popcorn tasted wierd like burnt and they only had Mountain Dew icee but when we got out the movies we saw they had replenished more of the cherry icee just employees are to lazy to do there simple job of replacing the burnt popcorn and making more icee need to hire more efficient staff that wanna work and also the seats in the theater are very nasty dirty stinky not clean at all regret my time and money spent in this place don't waste your time just try a different one or just wait for the movie to come out on hbo max read more

All I can say is wow what a dump. Are used to work here two years ago and the workers were so lively the environment was amazing food was good just overall nice. I went today 1/1/2022 and The only thing that was great was the man at the ticket counter he was sweet and the fruit punch because that was sweet also and that was the only thing that was good. We had a girl at the concession stand so rude threw our debit card back at us and our straws for our drinks if you don't like your job and why are you there the rooms are so dirty it looks like nobody comes to clean them seats are sticky getting old and ripping they were supposed to be remodeling as of two years ago but I guess they change their mind I'm gonna stick with Harkins because they are the best theater in my city and I'm never coming back here again. read more

The snacks were good and sound was great in the movie, but would of definitely enjoyed it more if I wasn't sitting in a broken seat. I'M NOT JOKING. The back of the seat felt like Thanos himself tried to rip it apart. I couldn't lean back at all without the feeling of it almost snapping. Really like coming here. No hassle if you want to see an extra movie. We usually buy popcorn and a drink. I also belong to the rewards club and do receive free popcorn and snacks. Since they have so many theaters they also squeeze in foreign and limited run films. I like how the theater doesn't get too packed. The clean up crew is very nice, they always say thank you and have a good night. Fortunately after all these years we haven't had too many talkers or texters and I hope it stays that way. Oh my gosh! This theater is disgusting! We just so happen to make it in the theater while the lights were still on. The seats were so filthy that I really couldn't enjoy the movie. There was only 3 people in the theater therfore it was plenty of empty seats however every seat that I look at was just filthy! I finally told my daughter to get me some paper towels from the restroom so I could line my seat then I put my purse in between my back and the seat so my back wouldn't touch the seat. I will not be returning to this theater! After watching the movie I had the urge to use the restroom. I was very pleased to find that the restroom closest to theater 18 was very clean. They really deserved that 1 star. I'm so glad I didn't have to give them 1 star in order to leave my review. Here's a little advice for the Owner's of the theater, CLEAN OR REPLACE THOSE FILTHY SEATS!!! YUCK!!!! Stood in line at the snack bar for 15-20min grant it it's Fathers day, while standing I noticed the popcorn is smoldering didn't really think anything of it. It's smoldering for a long time (nobody was manning or using this machine, even though consession stand is packed) then it combusted into a flame! The whole machine was on fire then it's shooting out of the machine and the whole thing catches on fire! The whole theater all 26 theaters are evacuated! Date: Friday, April 26, 2019 Showtime: 7:30PM Movie: Avengers Endgame Register: Facing towards concession stand, First one on the left, nearest to the elevator. We arrive at 7PM, tickets are scanned, we find our seats, now, I am lined up for the concession stand roughly around 7:05-08ish. I noticed that the manager for the concession stand left to go do something else, but, also noticed the wait time was becoming more ridiculous by the minute. It was already 7:30 by the time I became 10th in line. The previews weren't really anything to worry about, I figured, they're busy and it's expected on a Friday night; especially for endgame. 7:55 comes around, 9min have gone by on the movie and I had to say something to get their attention. I yelled, "Let's go! Movie has started already! We've been in line for more than 30min! We want a refund!" The Manager plays the idk what to do card, security comes around setting their tasers to stun, others have started to get frustrated as well. The manager finally opens more registers, more workers miraculously came out from the back, yet, I missed 30min of movie time due to poor management at the concession stand. We made it way before the start time, yet we still miss out on 30minutes of movie time. Some even asked to speak with the Manager, but at that point, it's either waste more time or go see what we can at the very least. Food Review: - Popcorn - Old, stale, mostly kernels scooped from the bottom. - Pizza - Alright; not bad. - Nachos - Good. - Pretzel - Good. - ICEE - Good. - Monster - Clutch. Expensive, but, it came through. This theatre definitely needs work with their customer service. You don't just abandon post and let your team suffer with no leadership. The girl at the register was doing the best she could. It just makes no sense to be chasing after everything when you have a whole team. It would have been efficient to have a team of 6 per station; 2 on the register, 1 working on boxing and drinks, 1 on food, 2 on sweep/re-stock. Looked like 8 lines, so 3-4 teams would have worked efficiently. The majority of the team members were mainly moving around on the right side of the stand and only 2-3 team members were running around on the left with hardly any help. Clearly, management needs to be reassessed for efficiency and consistency. The lack of leadership reflects poorly on their team's customer service. The manager looked like she was just getting in the way rather than helping really. All she did was just get behind the counter and opened more registers. Then proceeded to walk around with a "yeah, well, don't know what to tell you" facial expression. A real leader would have gone to each and every station to make sure re-stock team was moving smoothly, food was getting out timely by setting the pace through example, talking to your team to communicate what is needed to be done, checking the condiments, sweeping up fallen popcorn, the maintenance of your station. I attended the showing of good boys on 9/20/19 at 10pm, the theater had less than 10 people in it we were the only ones in our row in theater 22(including my 5 family members). I left an Active bag under my seat and when I realized I had left it, the theater was closed. I called lost and found several times and no one answered my calls. I arrived at the theater at 12:30pm an hour and 30 minutes after they opened. I spoke to someone at guest services to hopefully get my bag back but she said no one had turned it in. We were the last ones to leave that theater so in all honesty it had to be someone that worked there that did not turn it in. The lady at the guest service desk did not care. Won't be coming back to this theater. The workers are unprofessional. read more

The staff is very rude. When you try to ask what tine the doors open they yell at u to get out and just wait. Then the manager or whoever that lady is also rude. She doesn't have manners. My fiancé an I won complimentary tickets from yelp and attended a private screening of Bad Boys For Life last night! All the employees we interacted with weee friendly and welcoming! One of the things I dislike at theaters is the overpowering smell of buttery sometimes stale popcorn in the air and definitely did not get that smell at all!! We went at 7:30p on a Wednesday night and it was so clean!! The theater was super clean too, popcorn wasn't overly buttered, and bathrooms were clean too!!! I've never been to a movie theater with so many projector issues. In my life, there have been 3 times when a projector went out during a movie. They all happened here. Now granted they did give us free passes for another movie, but being a family man date nights can be hard to reschedule. Everything else about this place is standard, but I can't watch in peace anymore with the thought of the projector going out. The last time was the final straw. This theater was one of a few in the country to show Dunkirk in 70MM. A couple minutes in and the projector craps out. They end up switching to a digital projector, defeating the purpose of paying for 70MM. As I mentioned, we did get tickets for another movie, but by the time I was able to redeem (again, trying to schedule date night with the wife), the 70MM is no longer available. read more

Outdated theater with poor customer service. The theaters are hot and have no ventilation other than some ceiling fans that weren't even turned on. I went to the guest services desk and requested ventilation in the specific theater and I was told by 3 different people on 3 different occasions that they'd let someone know. It wasn't until the 4th time that I requested the fans to be turned on that they finally did it. Don't waste your time here. Go visit Harkins Cerritos for a better theater experience with comfortable electronic recliners. Edwards used to be the place to by go, but theyve fallen behind and are heading down hill. read more

I have been visiting this Edwards Theatre for as long as I can remember. It's such a great location. The theatre is always clean. I don't go to the movie theatre often, but when I do, this is the place that I go to. You can spend hours in this shopping area. Great place to spend the day with family or friends. Yes, the tickets are expensive. I would recommend buying tickets from Costco or at a cheaper rate somewhere else. Theatre visits can easily cost $100. read more

I've been coming to this theater since I was a kid in high school but this was my first time in a few years since COVID. Today I watched uncharted in auditorium number 9 and let me just say the actual theater was a sty. There is trash all over the floor, the seats are weathered (to be expected from a theater this old) but also very dirty. I firmly believe that nobody came to at least make the place look presentable between showings. There's also no booze served here which would've at least helped me forget this sad blunder of a moviegoing experience.
