I swear I really like this place but lack of employees make it hard. There's a parking garage right next to the theater and it's never completely full. Variety of food is available, very expensive. I missed 30 min of a movie because of the concessions stand, just for a refill on a drink! Even so, the line was moving at ridiculously slow pace. My husband and I came here last night to see La La Land - which was an amazing movie! The movie theater is nice - I would say they should think about upgrading soon, it seems to be a little old school. Overall, we had a good experience and the fact they have recliner chairs is a plus. The only complaint I have is the concession stand. The line is always long and they always have either one or two people working when they need about 5. Also, they tell you that your food will be ready in 5-10 minutes but then it ends up being 20 minutes. They need to figure out an exact wait time and should think about keeping more people in the back to help out. read more

Came here on Christmas Day to see "the greatest showman." Movie was spectacular. Only complaint would be the long line for concessions. We got a large popcorn and soda and both came with free refills (even though they were definitely not needed). The seats in the theatre were so comfortable and reclined. It saddens me not to give Regal Cinemas Laurel a 5 out of 5. The movie theater facilities are by far way better than any other yet we encountered the following issues: If you order online watch out, the outline of the cinema is not clear and you may end up getting tickets for the very front row which btw is completely useless vs the last row. This has happened to several other families I know and we do not understand why can they make it clearer. (Likely lack of care, the cinema gets the $ anyway) The second issue is the long lines to get food and drinks. Really? After all this years and technology Cinemas have not revolutionized a better way than 25 minutes in line to get popcorn and soda? Really?! Why not create card reading snack vending machines? That may help lines some. Also one person takes your order and that is the same person that gets your stuff and charges you. Why not create an app where you can order and pay ahead of time, or waiters/waitress to your comfortable seat? I see it work at other theaters. Last.. so the alcohol situation is none. Buu to that! My family and I had a HORRIBLE experience a few days ago with employees. We ordered our tickets online, so we walked in and all I had to do was show my phone. When we get to the stand where the young man and lady are standing to take tickets, the first thing that came out of their mouth was " we need to check y'all." It was only the four of us; my boyfriend, two teenage kids and I. While I understand the need for safety, I've gone to MANY different movie theaters and have NEVER been told I needed to be checked. It was about 40 degrees that night and movie theaters are extremely cold, so I had a shawl on over top of my coat. I opened my shawl to present my small 8 x 8 clutch and what came out of the gentleman's mouth was "oh you tryna be slick huh;" I said to him "excuse me?" He then repeated his question while the young lady was checking inside of my bag. We had a minor battle of the tongues as I tried to teach him about a) manners and b) customer service. We do not know one another, I am a paying customer and you are an employee - treat me as such. The hip street lingo and trying to be "cute" does not move me, it is actually very disrespectful and rude. I have tried several times to get through to Regal and management, hopefully my Yelp review will catch their attention. read more

This is usually our favorite theatre. We love the reclining seats and this is one of the main reasons why we come here. However today I say in a seat (E3) that didn't work! How upsetting!!! Like I was REALLY PISSED!! My husbands seat was also dirty with lots of old popcorn in the cushions. Food from the concessions are good. Today we had a 6 piece chicken tender meal with waffle fries, nachos and cheese, a kids pack, 2 kids icees and a medium soda for $30. The staff here are really friendly and I like that they have a sign letting you know book bags are subject to search. The armed off duty police is a plus too! Bathrooms never smell bad and kept clean. Hoping today was just an "off day". We will return. read more

I loved this theatre. It is new and very clean. The stadium seating was very comfortable but it is better if you don't sit in the front three rows. I agree with the previous review that the screens are huge. I would have rated this five stars but for the horribly managed check-in and admissions. I got my tickets online with a barcode. It the theater used a barcode scanner, like many other theaters do, they could get rid of some of the inefficiencies. I love this theater. This was my first time here and all I can say is WOW! The customer service was awesome (shout out to guest services employee Billy D. Williams--yes that's his real name). The management and employees were really great. I loved the remote reclining leather chairs and the swivel table is how movie theaters should be. It was very comfortable and roomy. You are definitely not cramped like in other theaters. The theater was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were clean. I do think they could get a better system of handling hot food orders. The food was good though. I also think you should be able to put your own butter on your popcorn...they never put enough. The prices for movies here are the same as anywhere else. You also can reserve your own seat that you want to sit in. So if you want all the comforts of home...visit the Regal Laurel Towne Centre 12! read more

My husband and I went on opening day. When we got there we were surprised that we could pick our seats from the ticket counter. As we walked into the lobby it was nice and clean and they had hot food available alongside the typical popcorn and candy. Since it was their first day we also received wine glasses as their gift to us - which was a nice touch. Finally, we walked into the theater and was pleasantly surprised to see huge, leather, reclining seats with wide aisles so you didn't have to put your butt in anyone's face in order to get to your seat. It didn't take long for us to find the buttons on the chair to elevate our feet, get comfy and enjoy the movie. The only draw back was that the seat numbers are not illuminated once the lights go down. Therefore, there were a couple of people who arrived late and kept walking in front of our line of sight to locate their seats. Other than that, it was great! read more

I really like the concept of the theater and the reclining seats are comfortable. The prices are not out of line and the staff is friendly. The Good: The seats recline (awesome). The concession food was actually pretty tasty if way over priced. They have reserved seats (this is good and bad), so you know where you Are sitting when you walk in to the place. The Bad: They have reserved seats and not all of the seats are good seats. The reserved seats also means it takes much longer for each transaction at the box office. The Ugly: Nope, not so far. This movie theatre is fairly new and I enjoyed every minute. The price is normal and I often do not go to the movies.... The price never matches the quality of the theatre. I was proven wrong after visiting Laurel Regal Cinemas. The reclining seats make my date night with the hubby a relaxing bonus. We can lift up the middle console and cuddle. I just love it. I went to see a kid movie with the kids and I believed they behaved just because the theatre was nice ... Lol. Good at the theatre will always be a little pricy when feeding 6 people, but the freshness can not be replaced. The food was piping hot and the customer service was felt from the ordering of tickets to being escorted to the theatre by management.... They helped with all my food for my kids lol. The sound was awesome. The best theatre to watch a new thriller or suspense film. Parking can be an issue, but parking behind Burlington Coat Favtory and walking over to the theatre is best. read more

My family prefers this theater even though we live in Howard county. They say the seats and trays with then make them much better than Snowden. There are also a lot of restaurants within a block or two so you can walk. Parking is so much easier than at the mall. They do need to manage the concession stand a little better. Bottom Line: Reserved, comfortable reclining seats in theaters with small capacity means less crowds and less riff-raff and it only costs about $10 a seat. I'm so glad that there is finally a decent movie theater somewhat close to my house. Here is what you can expect from your Regal Laurel experience: - The benefit of this theater is that you can reserve seats and get to the movie just as it is starting - no need to stalk the theater on opening weekend for the perfect seats. To get the most of this benefit and ensure good seats, pay the $3 convenience fee and reserve your primo seats ahead of time. - If you are super lucky, you can get a parking spot right out front but more than likely you'll need to park in the adjacent garage or one of the nearby lots. - The box office is outside in the elements (which doesn't seem to make since to me for Maryland) but self-serve kiosks, including picking up your Fandango tickets, is inside. - Lines for the concessions can be very long. It does seem like they could be better staffed but I generally prefer to skip the concessions and go out for some better food before or after the show. The concessions are typical for a movie theater, nothing fancy here other than animated, flat screen TVs. - From the hallways, the theater looks like your typical cinema but as soon as you walk inside the theater you will find wide, comfy, reclining leather seats. The seats are in sets, so they are almost like a love seat with a movable center dividing arm rest and two attached trays. You can push the tray off to the side or pull it in front of you. - Since the seats are like love seats, coming here solo and having to share the other side of the couch with a stranger could be awkward . . . or not. This is one of those new fangled theaters with the reserved seats and the recliners. Yes, it's more expensive than a normal theater... But what a sweet way to watch a movie. Especially when you're looking at a new release. Just buy your tickets early and you don't need to worry about rolling in an hour early to get in line on the off chance of getting a decent seat. There's plenty of parking in the attached shopping center, and the food is theater food, nothing surprising there. Relax and enjoy. read more

I have to admit that when this theater first opened it was an absolute, complete disaster. I assume initial management had no idea how to run a theater, and do simple things like make sure that the popcorn is swept off the floor and ensure there is plenty of toilet paper in the ladies bathroom. In essence, I fully expected it to go downhill and be ghetto within 6 months. However, somewhere along the way they must have found new management because now it is fantastic! It for the most part is decently clean, and I've never once run out of toilet paper. The reclining seats are great- the only bad thing is is that if you get too close to the screen, you're basically looking straight up. I like the reclining seats - they make me feel like I'm at home. The swivel desks that go along with them are fantastic too. The food, like any other movie theater food, is way overpriced and usually very undercooked. However, for $10 I think this is a worthwhile deal, and much needed in order to help revive Laurel. read more

Bathrooms were a mess. No toilet paper in any of the stalls in the woman's bathroom. No excuse for this, shows an uncaring work place. Each stall holds about 4 rolls. Obviously not checked for a while. From the looks of the parking lot, it was a slow day. This is my 2nd visit. Concession stands slow. Like that they have 1 line that then goes to the next open register. The seats had popcorn on them. Don't think it was cleaned from the prior shows. These are leather recliners. For a new theater with the great reclining seats and table you would think the standard would higher. Looks like somebody is not doing their job. There are many other theatre choices in the area. The recliners set them apart, but this won't bring in repeat customers if it is dirty and slow service. They do charge a premium for the tickets. read more

Going to see American Sniper tonight., will be my first time at the new theatre. Was able to choose my seats in advance, and glad I bought the tickets 3 hours prior to Showtime because all the good seats were almost taken. I've lived in Laurel my whole life and sadly witnessed the demise of 3 different movie theatre's in my town., One that still sits empty in the Laurel Shopping Center, One that was in Laurel Lakes before it was demolished and Lowe's and other surrounding stores were built, and last but not least, the good old 99 cent theatre in south Laurel next to CVS (then Peoples). I'm glad that there's one close to home again and better yet, I don't have to leave my house much earlier to drive to Arundel Mills or Columbia!! read more
