Regal Longston Place is convenient and does the job for catching the latest movies. The seats are decently comfortable, and the sound system is pretty good. I also like that you can order tickets ahead of time and skip the box office line. That said, the theater could use a few updates. Some of the seating and carpets feel a bit worn, and the concession prices are definitely on the high side (but that's pretty standard for theaters these days). Overall, it's a good spot for a casual night out -- just don't expect luxury recliners or a brand-new feel. read more

This is crazy when I think about my second job ever, which was a box office and a concessionist at Regal Cinemas on the East Coast. I've been to this location a few times, but it's been over a year since I've been here. The parking lot on this day was a few cars away from vacant due to the projected tornado watch. The ticketing is very simple; you can purchase it either at a kiosk or concession. Both are fairly quick regardless of preferences. The only thing that's reasonably priced is the ticket because most food and drinks cost more. The seating arrangements are ok. I didn't see any recliner style, but it was still comfortable. They were kind of lacking in cleanliness, but overall it was not a bad experience. read more

Being told at the door, immediately after showing our ticket for the movie, to be told they had sold all the merchandise early and were out of many of the promotions items when it's technically the day before the movie even comes out, the 15th. (I think) Okay, so I'm bad at names... but the gentleman at the concession stand whose favorite movie is Deadpool 2 did the most amazing job on our popcorn buttering! The 2 stars was solely based on the friendly guy who helped us at the concession stand. We will NOT be returning.. My husband and I spontaneously took our Son here to watch the new Jurassic World since other plans fell through. We usually go to AMC or Century theaters which is easily 20+ mins away - but we decide to give the one near by a chance. As other reviews, this is a dated theater. No reclining seats, which I forgot how uncomfortable they are, especially after sitting through almost 3 hours of previews and movie time. The theater we sat in was FILTHY! Popcorn, candy trash and just rubbish everywhere. Between the seats, on the seats, in cup holders, just gross. My husband also noticed a leak or hole in the ceiling which is so unappealing lol. The sound during the movie was unusually loud, like LOUD; my husband pointed that out afterwards too, their speakers could've been on max volume. There was also piles of popcorn in the hallways walking to the theater/lobby which was there before and after our movie, left unnoticed by any worker. Lastly, and most importantly, our large bucket of popcorn was stale, the added butter made it edible (for our son at least) but that sucked knowing we spent $10 on it. Our experience here just was not it, especially after spending $60 for the 3 of us, I would recommend you steer clear and go elsewhere. read more

Who doesn't love the movie theater. I like this little place, it's a bit old and small but accommodating. Getting a ticket doesn't take super long and the snack area is pretty fast. They are very nice and always seem to be in an upbeat mood. The popcorn is delicious, especially with extra butter and jalapeños. Yum! I entered this establishment with 4 of my acquaintances and was immediately impressed with the politeness and professionalism of the employee behind the register named Allison. She greeted my group with a smile and allowed us to purchase our tickets. After the employee told us to take as long as we need to decide what options sounded appealing and make our selection. I decided to make a bold move and select the boneless chicken wings, a small popcorn, and a large lemonade. The boneless chicken wings came out after a short wait and were nice and hot. Though the balls of chicken came out hot, the freshness was not able to suffice for the cost of 13 dollars for under a dozen small pieces of chicken. The popcorn and drink were standard run of the mill items that you would find at any movie theatre and I have no complaints for either items. Upon entering the theatre room, we had a nice clear pathway up the stairs and to our seats. The sound system was clear and my groups had a very good view of the screen.Towards the middle of the movie I entered the bathroom and nearly slipped on a puddle near the wall where there was no sign indicating a wet floor. I notified the employee Allison and the wet floor problem was swiftly solved. After the film was over my group decided to get our minds active and head over to their arcade room. The room was small but had enough activities that the theatre would need for any type of wait. I recall roughly 3 claw machines, a shooting game, and a racing game. Two machines were not in service at the time but the other machines were properly maintained. I give this establishment a 4 star rating for its customer service and the cleanliness of the building. The one flaw I saw was the pricing but overall I recommend this theatre would definitely come back. read more

First and foremost this review is for todays customer service. My family of 7 have been to this theater numerous times. Today we came to the movies for the first time in over a year (obvious reasons) There were not that many people (they had 3 registers open. We ordered, got to our seats. Realized that they forgot to give us our Jalapeños. I head back to concessions. I wait in line, I get up to the counter and say, "We already ordered and we never got our Jalapeños " the guy says "ok well you're going to have to wait because I have to go into the back and check for them, I'm going to help them get through this (talking about the other cashiers, keep in mind 1 party behind me and maybe 4 other parties split between the other 2 lines) I say "ok" and step aside, as expected people keep coming to the line, 15 minutes later still waiting, our movie has started. My wife comes out to check on me. We wait another 5 to 10 minutes. At this time the guy comes out go past us to the other concession stand, comes back with a large box, goes into the back and forth in from the back a few times comes. We hop in another line, get to the front and ask for Jalapeños again(while the original guy is standing right there!) The new guy says "I think someone is working on that, can you just wait here" I say actually no is working on that he's right there" then the new kid says oh we're out of Jalapeños. (We assume the original guy say to the other guy they are out, they had in mask) My wife then says to the original guy "you weren't going to tell us?! You walk right by us? And you've seen us still waiting, are movie started a while ago " He goofy ass response we "I just came back" And she responded by saying "No, we've watched you do a ton of other stuff since you went in the back, you knew you didn't have any when you walked past us the 2nd time" He just stood there and looked at us no apology no anything, so we went back to watch the movie. Anytime we've ever had to go back and ask for something that was forgotten (at almost any place, including here) the worker stops and solve the situation) We ask for Jalapeños everytime we come to the movies, so this is not an unusual request. Once I walked into the theater it smelt like a dump and a boys lockeroom combined and when I went to the top and I started walking on this floor my shoes felt like i was walking on bees wax and superglue. Checking diaper bags for snacks is a bit much. I'm in my late 30's and have never had any theater in any state go through a diaper bag. Theaters must know that toddlers have goldfish and special juice. I understand that there is a no outside food policy. After spending over $40 on concessions on my older kids, myself and husband this was very annoying. The theater does not have a self serve fountain drink area like most theaters have now a days. Cash is not king. We walked through the front door and a employee was standing there asking if we had a ticket already. We said no. She pointed to to the self serve payment that once was the place that an actual attendant would be. We said that we were paying cash. She pointed to the refreshment cashiers to pay for our seats. There was three lines. We patiently waited while other patrons bought their tickets and items. We moved over to a free line to buy our tickets and a little sign said debit or credit card only. No signage posted above. We were told that they had only one cash line. We were also told in a round about way that they can do more with less. So we went to that line and paid cash. We were not planning on buying refreshments from the start. Now I can not say to what marketing strategy that Regal may or may not be trying to unveil, but 10 minutes in line to pay cash for a movie is insane. There was not even a blockbuster in the venue. In my opinion Regal is trying to get you to buy refreshments . That's were the real money is at. This Regal experience does not compare to the convenience of a steaming service. read more

Very friendly, service oriented staff offers to put your phone number in and reminds you to get credit on your Regal Cinema Rewards Program. I never have my card and do not remember the password to my phone app plus I messed up and did not get it to connect to my previous account I don't think? So I super appreciate the reminder and willingness to use my phone number. Popcorn and other concessions are always good. The theater temperature has always been comfortable. Nice clean rest rooms! Sound and viewing quality of films has always been good. Not sure what else I could ask for? Maybe I should have given a 5 star rating? Took myself on a date to see Jupiter Ascending in 3D. Bought ticket on Fandango. Easy breezy. I almost missed the theatre driveway. It looked small as I drove in. Noteably a very old facade. Its def an older theatre and could use a new paint job or something. It didnt feel inviting at all. Inside is clean enough, but then again it was real early in the day. Didnt waste time buying concession food. I ate beforehand. (highly recommended) Went into ladies restroom in lobby..again old style but clean since it was early. Plenty of stalls. Manual faucets (I hate that) Decided to visit another ladies room closer to the 11 theatre. Its small but clean..again manual faucets. The left soap dispenser was either broke or empty. It didnt have any old smell people were talking about in previous reviews. Maybe once all the crowds start coming and concessions start flowing so will the odor. Just guessing. I went into theatre 11. I was the first in out of about 5 ppl who came later. Its your typical multiplex cinema. Seats were okay..static unit..doesnt move. Arms fold up but have cup holders on ends. Too many regular tv commercials for a theatre. No troubles with audio or video. It was okay here. Convenient for the local folks but that traffic on Meridian was atrocious. This theater is going downhill. We just saw a movie here in auditorium 2 and it smelled extremely musty. I brought it to the managers attention and she just brushed it off. I felt like she wasn't even listening. I would recommend going to the AMC theater in Lakewood over the Longston Place. The only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because the staff was nice. They need a new manager who actually listens to their customers. read more

If you are on South Hill, Longston is really the better option. Though, at best, it is a mediocre theatre. I do like that they have the seats that rock back a bit, arm rests can be moved away and they are fairly soft. With 14 screens, there are typically options for what you desire. This trip I noticed a few minor changes to indicate that the economy is affecting business. Movies are scheduled much closer together and there was noone standing to "rip my ticket". They are seemingly "streamlining" their process. I hope this works, as I would not like to see this theatre disappear. (Movie note: We watched Tintin. It was pretty good, though I do not think it is worth the extra $$ for the 3D. The pace is good and storyline entertaining. Spielberg did a great job bringing this childhood memory to life. The animation is lifelike and amazing. I can say I got lost in the movie, which is always good.) read more

Probably one of the worst experiences Iv ever had at theater with my child. 2 employees working 50 people in line.. we missed the first 20 min of our movie waiting in line, didn't get popcorn or have my online tickets scanned.. got yelled at for running out to the lobby to get popcorn an hour after my the movie started because the line finally went down I was in a hurry because my daughter was in the theatre alone i got yelled at for not having a mask on when I was the only one besides the employee in the lobby and we were 5 feet apart. the Place was freezing cold it was miserable. read more

My Sister- in-law and I brought our girls to watch Beauty and the Beast when we were visiting from out of state. My sister-in-law had gift cards so I'm not sure how much it would of been if we would of to pay for the 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids. The lady was asking the girls if they had seen another movie, and they said they hadn't heard of it. She was very friendly. We didn't get anything to eat since we had just had lunch. The movie was amazing, the seats were comfortable and my 5 year old ended up laying in my lap to relax. We got up once to use the restrooms and they were clean, I liked that there was a restroom close to the theaters so you didn't have to go all the way up to the front. read more

My family and I are new to the area within the past year & enjoy going to the movies. So when we found the house we wanted to buy it was a great added benefit to have a theater super close. Pros: 1. Close to my house 2. Shows all the new movies 3. Some of the employees are nice and helpful Cons: 1. Feels dark like a cave or dungeon compared to may theater we visited in the past. 2. Out dated. 3. Dirty feeling with some of the theaters smelling like human pee (super grouse) 4. Seats don't seem to recline back 5. Most of the employees can't answer my questions because they don't know the answers (management should do better training) 6. At the concession stand there's items on the board for sale but when I put in my order I'm told that we don't carry that item. When I asked them why it's on the board I get a blank stare and the manager steps in and tells me sometimes they carry the items but most of the time they don't because people don't seem to buy them. Well I wonder why... (being a bit sarcastic) so I'm thinking that if they carried the items regularly they may just all get sold. 7. When management has stepped in or intervened they seem to have a bit of a chip on their shoulders. So of course it shows how the employees have learned their customer service skills... (again, being a bit sarcastic) It's a bummer that all of us who live in the area don't have a newer theater to go to. But all is well so I'm going to think optimistic that a remodel is in their plans for the not distance future. Been going to this theater since it was built. I've always enjoyed going to the movies but may need to find a different location. Sometimes I just want to go to a movie and not buy any food however, you have to buy movie tickets in the concession line! Waste of time. Unfortunately the place is not nearly as nice as other theaters within driving distance. I don't think it's been updated since it's inception. The whole place is moderately clean.
