Okay, so I think it's important to separate the two main parts of the experience here. 1) The Cinema experience: 3 stars Bog standard cinemas--a little on the small side, but that's actually a positive in my view. No reclining chairs. Not the cleanest, but not atrocious. I will give them credit for having a lot of showtimes, so it's pretty convenient. 2) The concessions. HAHAHAHA. 1 Star, and that's being generous. I showed up 15 minutes early to the movie. It took me 30 minutes to clear the concession line. Huge line, 2 people working. I get to the front and order chicken tenders. The cashier tells me they're out. Ok, no problem. Burgers. They're out. Chicken sandwich? The fryer is down. Okay, 2 cheese dogs...I can see them on the rotisserie. They only have regular (I'll come back to this). Fine. So I order 2 dogs for the kids, and a beer and a wine for myself and my wife. Beer tap is down. Wine dispenser broken. Cashier looks at me apologetically and says "sorry, this place hasn't been updated since 1989." He says "we have canned beer. I can't sell it to you though, I have to get a manager." Holy shinto. Wait 5 minutes for the manager to show while everyone behind me grumbles. I feel bad for these employees, so I pay politely and take my food back to the seat. Give my kids their dogs...turns out they're jalapeño dogs. Kids won't eat them. So, effort and money wasted, and I missed the first 15 mins of the movie. Takeaway: the theater is fine. Not that nice, but convenient. Just make sure you get your food and drinks somewhere else. Kind of silly, because from my understanding of movie theater economics. Concessions are most of the profit...oh well read more

Horrible experience... we arrive at least minutes before the start of our movie to find no lights on in the theater, sound on but a black screen and it wasn't cleaned from the previous showing. 5 minutes before the start time an employee kicks everyone out of the theater still with no lights on. When management was asked why cleaning wasn't done ahead of time if they were going to delay the start of the movie she was extremely rude and said " well you actually have 20 minutes of previews before the movie starts" and then walked away. Horrible place I will never come back to this theat Small update: the it took 2 days for a response on here and the link isn't a link (had to type it in manually). I also wrote a review on their Facebook page and was asked to send them a private message- which I did when we got out of the movie. As of 9pm on Monday (2 days later) I still haven't received a response to the message. I sent a message as requested to the "link" provided so let's see how long it takes for them to respond Another update: it's now a week later and I still have not received any kind of response even through the "link" given by the corporate response below. Okay. I am shocked at how many bad reviews such a well-known touristy movie theater has. I was thinking about going to Regal to watch a movie this Friday solely because it is the only theater still playing this particular movie, but my girlfriend said she absolutely doesn't want to go here, she did however tell me too check the reviews on yelp maybe they have improved. And to my surprise I see nothing but one star reviews and NOBODY has done anything about this. I see that Regal comments back on almost everyone's review dating back to 16' and farther but where are the improvements?? What is being done?? We will not be coming to this theater I am disappointed with he lack of concern from Regal. Shut it down and make the necessary renovations ASAP! read more

Came by here with my cousin the other day to see "Split" (which was a surprisingly good film), and my experience here was quite good. Even though we arrived as the theater opened, the staff had their act together. The concession stand had more than one person running it, the theaters were clean, and every employee we interacted with seemed pleasant. The only downside is that the theater is hard to access with all of the construction going on outside of it, but I understand that it's not Regal's fault. read more

This place is pretty standard as far as movie theaters go. However the seating needs some updating. The arm rests are not adjustable. I thought that was kind of archaic. Also my friend and I ordered popcorn. It was salt-less and butter-less. These are two basic things that they need to get right. Service was great especially at the ticket counter. read more

I'm sad to say my experience here wasn't to what I expected. I had high hopes for this Regal location. Upon entering the theater to buy tickets, The line was 15 strong and there was only one person working the ticket register! Staff isn't friendly at all! When I'm purchasing a $7.00 medium popcorn (which was disgusting and oily, even without butter!) and a $5.00 water, I expect a pleasant and friendly experience. The restrooms are atrocious! It's like no one even comes in them to clean them! I was forever disgusted by them. This is exactly why I usually go to Ipic in Mizner Park, because the ticket price is a little higher, but the service I receive and the cleanliness and comfort factor is absolutely unsurpassed. Plus the added bonus of some good food. I'd much rather pay a little more and receive a lot more as far as benefits are concerned. To end, I'd recommend to stay away from this location and go somewhere else, either Paragon theaters or really spoil yourself at Ipic (trust me, once you go to Ipic you won't want anything else). read more

The theater itself isn't bad and getting tickets quickly is no problem. But the people working concession are the slowest moving human beings on earth. I've come several times and at different times of day and its always the same. Nobody has any sense of urgency. Not the high school kids working the registers, not the managers who are supposed to observe and correct this behavior, and not upper management who is ultimately responsible for ensuring everything is running smoothly. Poor service and high prices don't play out well for the general public. If I ever get dragged back to this place, I'm bringing my own snacks and beverages. I can't wait until Metropica gets built with a brand new iPic theater. read more

This movie theater is in need of some serious improvements. To begin, we purchased tickets online. When we arrived at the theater no-one was checking tickets - something which some people seemed to know, because not sure everyone in the theater had tickets based on overheard conversations!! The line at the concession stand is a joke...it looked like they had 2 people per register, to possibly speed up the process - but it didn't! Don't know why they don't have it like other theaters where there's a single entry point, and then you get served by the next available cashier. There were no available staff members to direct us where we needed to go, so we figured it out ourselves. Then when we were in the theater, there were some obnoxious people who kept talking throughout, but again, no staff to report to or checking on theater. Finally, the seats are so old & dirty (see photo). Will not return until they remodel! read more

Well hot diggity dog. I actually loved this theater. Maybe because I came on a Tuesday afternoon and there were only 6 other folks inside, including a couple and their newborn baby. I saw the movie No Good Deed, and it was awesome! 1.5 hours in the dark with a man that fine..... The actual theater was spacious, clean and was set at the perfect cool tempeture. I love going to a nice matinee in the middle of the week. Additional notes: $8.50 for adult matinee ticket. Go in the daytime to avoid crowds. Free parking. Security regularly patrols the theater. read more

This place is terrible. I went there to watch Gravity in IMAX (which was an amazing movie btw), and they give you these insanely flimsy yellow 3D glasses. They were FILTHY and I could barely see through them. They were so flimsy that my husband tried to wipe his off with his shirt and the lenses popped out and broke so he had to get a new pair. For the prices we paid for IMAX, I expect WAY better glasses. The fact that they were filthy and I could barely see through them really took away from the beauty of the movie. Oh and the concession stand lines are HORRIBLE. Extremely long lines, it took us 30 minutes just to get a small popcorn. I understand it was the weekend and there is a lot of people, but the people behind the counters were INSANELY slow and I think a couple were even being trained. We almost missed the first part of the movie just because of the lines, and we DID plan ahead to get in line early. I would never ever go back to this theater. read more

Eeek!! This place has seen its better days!! This theatre was once a stand-alone building before the Oasis, an outdoor promenade with brand name stores and trendy restaurants. This Oasis connected the theatre to the mall in the early 2000s. Think Hard Rock Cafe, Wolfgang Puck, Cheesecake Factory, Ghiradelli Choclatier, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. This Oasis, the first outdoor addition to the famous (or should I say infamous?) outlet mall known as Sawgrass Mills Mall, was a fun place to be! For all of us in western Broward, back then this was the go-to spot for the weekend night dinner and movie combo with that special someone. Or better yet the perfect place to wind up after a long hard day partaking in outlet shopping with your crazy relatives. Fast forward ten years, and the whole area is depressed. Including the movie theatre! The Hard Rock is no longer there, neither is Ghiradelli Choclatier, nor is Wolfgang Puck. All you have left is the Cheesecake Factory surrounded by empty, dull storefronts. This has resulted in the theatre being at low occupancy. Although normally that wouldn't be a problem, the theatre itself I also find it to be rough around the edges from all angles. From the cleanliness of bathrooms and theatres, to the slow service at concession, to the pseudo-IMAX screen, and not to mention the employees and the clientele, there is much to be desired. I know that perhaps I am being a little harsh on the place because of the recession, but there are way better movie-at-mall experiences. read more

Went to see the new star wars movie in imax. The imax projector had a problem and made the whole theater watch 20 minute previews 3 times! The employees have told us many things such as "the projector will be back on in 20-30 minutes", "the movie will now be playing in 3D", "the movie will forsure play in 5 minutes". In the end the imax projectors would not function correctly and everybody had to get their refunds or switch out a different time showing. NEVER COME TO THIS THEATER. read more

Wow this place use to be great wen I was in middle school but now it's just too old. A movie theatre that charges this much for a movie needs to be one that can back up the price with clean floors and beautiful screens and the whole package. I get corporate you don't wanna spend money remodeling. But what you need to understand is that if you don't you will soon be closed because tourism alone won't support this theatre. You need to remodel the place, bring in new screens and projectors, and train everyone to be quick and effective because the lines at the concession stand are way to long. I mean this is not the DMV. This is a place for fun and a place for kids and that it's hard to do when you are waiting 30 minutes while you're kid is yelling and running all around the building. How it should happen... 1. You get there and you are amazed at how clean and beautiful the theatre looks. 2. Employees welcome you into the theatre making you feel like you're a valued customer and thanking you for bringing your business. 3. Receive your tickets with no problem and direct you correctly towards your destination. 4. If we decide to spend extra money on food it should be a quick process, not take 30 mins to get some chocolate raisins like come on... How about putting all the candy in vending machines that take card and cash!! Oh that was simple. 5. And finally please make sure that you are up to date with projector technology. If it has been over a decade you should be looking into investing on new projectors so that the picture always looks bright and clear. Remember that we come here because the quality should be better than our homes. Sometimes we drive in the rain or through traffic just to make it to a new release and what do we find? Pros: Movie theater is big and very spacious. Great hang out spot for groups and friends/family. Theater seats are comfortable and it's not too cold. Great place to catch a late movie. This theater cater to couples or individuals who want to have a good time. There is a lot of activities to do that is close to the theater. If you decide to go shopping or want some food or entertainment, the theater is close to several restaurants and the mall. There is also a bar right by the theater. I forgot the bar name but the DJ been jamming.You can literally walk to the bar from the Theater. Additionally, the staff members and environment are friendly. Food is pretty decent and the drinks are reasonable price. Cons:After 10pm, housekeepers tend to slack on cleaning, especially in the women restroom. I would come here again. I also would recommend this theater to friends and family. read more

I can rember when this was first build in the 1990's++ what a TRUE delight it was! Saddy they did change the colors in which I though it was UGLY! I have notce the people (customers) who comes here low end trashy people who don't give a damm about them self and lazy ass mothers who don't even brother to control their kids! The Staff they hire are all teens that if you need to have a question to say they toooo busy on their cells or texting on the jobs or other's! I ask the MGN and either then MGN didn't give a damm about this place! It's PITTY how they hire people here and they don't give a crapy what comes here! If I was the owner I fire ALL the lazy ass staff and fix the building up and place ground rules to follow as well as customers who come in! Frightening experience! Sunday 1/10 went in to watch Star Wars with my son and not even midway into movie entire screen goes black. Power goes out. Next thing I know police are telling us to evacuate. Luckily nothing bad happened to us and we're all safe, but trying to reach someone like a manager to help me has been impossible. Horrendous experience Christmas Day. 40 minutes at the concession stand. We were fourth in line. That means 40 minutes to handle three customers in front of us. No exaggeration. I am sure the kid working our counter was trying but he clearly wasn't up to speed and probably wasn't trained right. When I spoke to the concession manager, all she did was say "we're trying our best". Then she went and helped another worker on a different line than ours. If you plan on seeing a movie here, give yourself a LOT of extra time. 1 person working the ticket window and 2 people working the concession stand... Last time I checked its opening weekend for a good movie... Been in line now for over 25 min... How is this ok and acceptable? So an update... Purchased my ticket at 1:13(after waiting in line for 15min)... Finally ordered my food at 1:45... Now it's 1:55 and I am still waiting on my food. Forgot to put my 2 ordered pizzas in the oven. I am now missing the beginning of the movie because of poor staffing. No one is restocking as they go so now the place is a mess and they are out of items. The "addition concession" stands are no better with only 1 staff member and a longer line then the main one. This place used to be great... But beware of it these days... And to close the story out... i missed some of the beginning of the movie... thank you Regal Sawgrass Stadium 23 & IMAX for not having your theater meet certain standards. Oh and when i looked for a manager to complain to, I could not find them.... Time to rethink where I go to watch movies. read more

Place used to be awesome in the 90's when it originally opened, but they have done very little to update it. It's a huge theater, but always now appears like it needs to be cleaned. The bathrooms definitely need updating and they really should think about getting a liquor license. The more they can make this place feel like a Muvico the better. Higher end treats at the concession stand would be pretty sweet too! If they did dinner and a movie at either Cheesecake and/or the new CPK they might have something here. read more

A decent theater. Decent stadium seats, big cup holders, and over-priced concessions. So pretty much like any other theater. This one's clean with good picture and sound quality. Not as much variety in the films nor as long of showings as I'd like, but if they have a show you want to see it'll probably be a good experience. Pro tip: arrive early to get your ticket or go inside and use the automated ticket machine, because the line here seems to be long and move slow, even at supposed off-times. read more

First...the whole place just needs a REALLY thorough cleaning. 2nd....WHY on a Friday or Saturday Night do you only have 2 or 3 people working the counter? There are long lines...probably 6 open registers...but only 4 people working (very slowly). Obviously refreshments are way over priced...but it would be easier to extremely over pay if the staff just said "hello or thank you or may I help you" or just looked you in the eye when they take the money. Are people NOT trained anymore how to count back change? Remember (place change in hand) that's 43 and (counting singles) 44, 45 and (placing 5 in hand) 5 makes 50? Now they just dump the change in your hand and give you a stack of bills to count yourself. The bathroom...............yuck. I'm there with 4 kids. I wanted to take them outside to pee instead of this bathroom. There are a few theatres within close driving distance that I believe we'll be going to. I went to this theater today with my two children. I could not believe how discourteous the staff is at this location. They yelled at my kids because one of them had put his foot on the seat. Then they came back and interrupted us 3 more times to make sure we did not touch the empty seat in front of us. I would not come here again if the movie was free. read more

I attended this movie theater to watch jurassic world with my wife. Very disappointed on the lack of management. Movie theater was filthy everywhere from the front to the back, straws none, soda was nasty, popcorn old, just a very negative experience overall. Even inside the room the floors, were dirty and the sound system had a static sound. Defenitely not an Imax expirience. I will love to come back and see a big difference because this is "my movie theater"Very sad to see it in this bad shape. You guys need to address this situation inmmidiately read more

First I was afraid, I was petrified...never thinking I could find a Regal that wasn't, well, crap. I tried to find a Regal so I could use a free movie reward I had earned by going to tons of movies in PA. I was a little dismayed to find out that basically every Regal in South Florida pretty much sucks. (Or at least, that's what the reviews said.) So, I took my chances on this Regal, and it wasn't half bad. The Regal staff were courteous and helpful - I didn't have to wait very long to buy my ticket or get my popcorn. The theaters didn't smell - they were clean. The seats don't recline which is kind of a bummer, but since I sit in the very back of theaters anyway, it didn't matter. The theater itself and the screen were kind of small, but maybe that's because I was seeing a movie that had been out for 2 weeks already; they were probably making way for the latest and greatest release. I don't have any major complaints about this place. Okay, maybe one -the restrooms. While they seemed cleaned (e.g., I didn't see any trash on the floor and so on), they reeked of urine. Yuck. If you have to use the restroom - I suggest going into the mall to do that. They were 10x cleaner and not smelly at all! While I probably won't be back to this Regal, or maybe any Regal at all in South Florida (better options exist near me), this wasn't terrible. read more

Bought my ticket to go yesterday. Of course I'm all shnazy-panzy modern so I buy them online. I got to the movie theater at 5:30pm and it was closed for "sprinkler malfunction." Yeah RIGHT. We all know movie theaters around the US closed down because of the Colorado craziness. The problem I have with this theater is that they always seem to be woefully understaffed. From the ticket window to the concession stand, the waits can be ridiculous. Your best bet is to buy your tickets online and print them at home. Even the automated ticket machines can be backed up pretty bad during peak times. We were here opening weekend for The Avengers, and I waited 20 minutes at the concession stand. What really bothered me was that they had more cash registers than staff, and if they did it right, the wait would have definitely been shorter. As others have noted, it's not the cleanest theater in the world, which I'm sure can be directly attributed to their lack of staff. Also, because it is part of Sawgrass Mall, the parking can really be a nightmare. Sometimes we just suck it up and valet our hooptie car because the driving around is not worth the aggravation. This mall is the only place I have ever seen people nearly come to blows over a parking space. I've never had a problem with the movies going out or anything like that, and the seating here is pretty comfortable. The main draw for me is just distance from my house, but if a newer, better theater opened nearby, I would probably not watch movies here anymore. read more
