This movie theater has been my go to theater for a while now and I've had no complaints. The nice lady always greets every guest and the workers working over where you buy snacks are always respectful. I came in one day expecting to pay around $7 because it was Tuesday and I didn't know that you had to be a member. The workers were so nice and helped me through the process. I've never seen the theater dirty and the only bad thing I'd have to say is the snack prices but movie theaters are known to be expensive when it comes to food and drinks. read more

I have no idea what has happened, but this movie theater has really gone downhill has the entire movie theater chain. Recently I purchased a movie ticket and on the day I spent over an hour trying to cancel the movie ticket. As a matter of fact, I spent 30 times as much time Trying to cancel the ticket as I did purchasing it directly from the Regal website. Unfortunately, their website was not working on multiple devices, including laptops, tablets, and cell phones. I essentially wound up in an endless loop and miss the "cancellation window" and had to contact the local theater." however, it became an endless loop as no one answers the phone! If you have to go through the virtual queue, it literally disconnects you after one attempt. You have to repeatedly keep calling and calling. Eventually, I was able to find an email and sent in a refund request, which was eventually handled three days later. I mean, this is absolutely absurd. Honestly, just stick with AMC. There, at least you can talk to employees and easily reach out if you have any questions. read more

We bought some tickets from Tickets at work for regal, so we decided to give this Regal Theater in Simi valley. I was having some trouble buying our tickets with the voucher at the kiosk but we asked the manager for assistance. Thank you. The theater is small, clean and well stocked with merch. The staff is friendly and you see them around cleaning. The seats in the auditorium do recline so that's a plus. Not too busy place. We will definitely be returning in the future. read more

I used to frequent this Regal when I worked nearby in Simi Valley around 8 years ago or so. I remember it being a pretty nice theater, so I decided to return after all these years to see how it's holding up - holy hell this place has gone downhill! The theater is deader than dead - apart from the skeleton crew, there's hardly any other living souls around yet there's trash everywhere. Restrooms are filthy as are the auditoriums. Trash is left on seats/floors attracting flies so it was fun swatting them away in the dark. The seats are terrible - have crackheads or cats been scratching away at them? Or crackhead cats? Because the seats require a tetanus shot & a shower after using them! Sole bright side is that there aren't any complaints on my end from the image/sound. If you're in the area and that determined to watch a movie at the theater - keep driving! The theaters in the hood are cleaner and better quality! read more

I often come to this theater to watch a movie with my siblings but that's about to change. Was here on Tuesday night to see wicked. My sister wanted concessions so we waited in line. At front, the employee was not trained on how to make the new drips drinks at all so we had to wait for that. But the biggest issue was that she received her pretzel and in the tray was a small figurine of Jesus with a little sash that says " Jesus loves you" So handing out religious iconography is normal now I guess. I'm not trying to have anyone's religion shoved down my throat especially when I go to see a movie. But I'm sure lots of other locations will appreciate my business. read more

One of the better local cinemas to see those movies which deserve to be seen on the "big screen". The "IMAX" auditorium 8 (though not true IMAX) is the only way to see a bigger Hollywood production and if I don't have the time to drive out to Universal, I will make to trek here. Have seen F1 most recently, as well as the latest Mission Impossible, Interstellar re-release, as well as numerous other releases in "IMAX" and the picture and especially the sound is definitely a step up from regular screens and really draws you in to the movie experience. This auditorium has usually been relatively clean though some of the seats show some considerable wear and tear, however, this would be true with most places. read more

Staff is very friendly and they have great snacks. The funnel fries were amazing actually very sweet but pretty good. One thing I have to mention is that being regal and a big cinema they should really budget in reupholstering their chairs. especially when they are advertising and we are paying extra for recliners. As I love the member deal the days at 7.99$ for a movie ticket any one of any age... this theater is not the cleanest unfortunately. There always seems to be popcorn which the sticky seats. I know it's a lot for the workers to try to get through so quickly but it seems to be every single time I go. This is a decent movie theater. I last came here last month to watch The Apprentice as my local Regal was not running it. The place was pretty empty as I came on a Sunday afternoon. I got a small popcorn, and I enjoyed it. At this theater, the popcorn is given without butter, so you have to add it yourself at one of the stations on the side. There is always plenty of parking at this theater. Customer service is mediocre. The place is well maintained. The seats are comfy but definitely worn out. This isn't anything against the theater, but I had a hard time watching the movie as two ladies sitting in the same row as me constantly talked throughout the film. Like, what is the point of seeing a film in the movie theater if you will be spending most of the time talking?! All in all, this Regal does not stand out. read more

The theatre itself was subpar compared to its neighboring theatres with its small, uncomfortable chairs, but what truly stood out was the rude management. I was told I cannot bring food and drinks in with me, which is a standard at most theatres. However, all the other theatres I've been to have had no problem with me coming in with a coffee I bought from literally next door to the theatre. Came by a few weeks ago for a showing of the Good Half with Nick Jonas. We usually see all our movies at Studio Movie Grill but glad I got to check out another theatre in the area. Opted to munch on nachos and a spicy chicken sandwich- both good. The chairs were very comfortable and had reclining capacity. The man ( I believe is the manger) with the long hair at the concession stand was so rude. The first girl walk away from us to go help someone else and we waited for a bit . He comes over and with an attitude, I say we just want to finish checking out. I asked him if there were any hot dogs left because I didn't see anymore on the warmer and the first thing he said with an attitude was " we wouldn't sell you anything we don't have. Been coming here for YEARS and it's actually improved a lot with the reclining chairs. I love feeling like I'm at home and comfortable when sitting in a chair for about 2 hours. The place is usually clean and well-kept which I really appreciate. It's also quite close to my home and is in a plaza with great after-movie options like boba or frozen yogurt. I also love that I don't have to think too much about parking or even put that time into my commute. No matter how busy, there will always be enough parking space so I don't feel stressed out. read more

This theater is in desperate need of a renovation. The chair armrests are shedding. The screen in auditorium 4 is damaged and it discolors the film. The tickets were $20 and it just doesn't seem worth it. Sad because we love going to the movies. read more

Better see where they're not sticking to your body also came to see transformers one and they put the wrong film in which was in 3-D and they have to restart the whole thing over. Not a good move. Movie started at 7 PM had to rewatch the first five minutes. Told my son to go let him know to give us some 3-D glasses but they did not. They just put it to the regular one. We have been regal crown club unlimited members for about 5 years or more. In this time, we attend the Simi Valley regal a minimum of 1 each week. Many times we will see 2-3 movies each weekend. We always show our pre-purchased tickets on our regal app when we come in. Recently, the manager asked for both our phone apps to be shown and told us both would be required to be shown each and every time. So, we come prepared, BUT not every employee complies. We keep being told they see us every weekend and know we are unlimited club members. So, we, 9 out of 10 visits haven't needed both phones to be shown. However, today, an employee that never asks but has seen us numerous times, rudely asked to see my phone today. Trying to dig it out of my back pack, she saw my package of feminine hygiene products and thought I was bringing in outside food! She then told us they didn't allow outside food. I tried to explain it wasn't food but that I recently had bariatric surgery and could not eat what they sell any more. She rudely told me SHE had the surgery as well, thereby calling me a liar! I explained mine was VERY recent and I could not purchase their food any more. After showing her my phone, she went to grab my phone from me! I asked her NOT to touch my phone, only to look at it as I was showing her the proof! It was a very poor experience and it ruined our evening movie. We are seriously considering canceling our membership due to inconsistencies and rudeness. It's very disappointing. read more

So, Regal Theaters ... I'm on the fence. Let me tell you why... Over Thanksgiving, I drive out to Simi Valley to see Bonhoeffer. I've been wanting to see it for a year, hearing about all the buzz for a while. I like Bonhoeffer's stand for his faith during the holocaust, and wanted to see the movie based on Eric Metaxas's biography. The movie was ADVERTISED to BEGIN at 1:30pm. My friend had plans later, but agreed to see the movie with me. We were on time. Bought our tickets via their web app, bought our popcorn, and off we went... Sitting in our seats, the commercials began about 1:30pm. No problem, they usually run 15 minutes and then the show begins... We wait and watch - captive audience. By 2:10pm, I'm looking at my watch obsessively. When will the movie begin? The trailers start ... good sign. So, I relax a bit. But wait, THEN following the trailers, COMMERCIALS begin again! I stopped counting at 8 Regal Theater commercials. No kidding. I'm sitting in their theater, and they are selling me their theater. Repulsive. Look, live movies took a big hit during COVID. So did many other businesses. Frankly, I'd prefer to see movies in the theater post COVID. Seriously, I don't want to watch commercials there. Trailers - yes they are commercials - I'm ok with. Hard selling images of popcorn & soda, & don't forget the candy. No thanks! The worst part? My friend had to leave the movie BEFORE it ended. THE MANAGER gave me passes for another movie. But clearly was non sympathetic in my complaint about being held hostage to their whim to sell me up. My friend missed the end of the movie!!! Other Regal theaters are commercial heavy too. Came to see Saw X today at 1 pm. Literally no one was at any of the doors we walked right in and no one asks for our ticket. I did purchase them online. The place was not busy at all. The movie was excellent I have seen the whole series of Saw. Definitely worth the 12.25. Wasn't overly cold in there, and only a few people. All in all I was happy I went to see it. Went to see the new Top Gun film today. Might be the first film in a couple years and you know why. We had a private screening, only one other patron was present and he sat all the way in the back. Very good A/C, comfy seats and great sound made for a very good experience. The film was very good as well, much better than earlier iterations. read more

Regal Simi Valley is the only traditional movie theater I found in my theater search in the area. The other being a dinner and a movie type theater. I came because I had some time to kill in the area, and it has been quite a long time since going to see a movie (maybe 1 1/2 years!). A lot of interesting movies are out right now, but I ended up getting a ticket to see Suicide Squad. The ticket process now is very Covid friendly. Order the ticket at a kiosk, get ticket, go to the auditorium. Super easy process. The auditorium was clean. The lounge chairs were comfortable and well spread out. It also helped that only about 5 people came to see the matinee. The sound quality and picture quality was good. No complaints. Overall a very nice theater and if I had one like this close to my place, I'd probably go to the movies more often. read more

Just had the weirdest experience with a worker fro regal. I'm carrying a blanket in and she asks if I'm taking things inside or if it was just a blanket. Which was odd, I have a monthly membership and have been going frequently with a blanket and have never been asked this by the other people who typically scan tickets. Not sure if it was a racial issue given today's climate but it left a weird feeling in me. Not happy with it. read more
