Regal @ this location is on Broadway near 14th St., close to Union Square Park. Although I have seen many films at Regal Battery Park which is my favorite theater, Regal Union Square comes in as a strong 2nd Place finisher. Regal Union Square is in a convenient location, & is easily accessible via the 4,5,6,N,L,Q & R lines I have seen the U.S. Advanced Film Screening of "On Swift Horses" @ Regal Union Square in April 2025, the recent screening of the movie "Re-Election" starring Director/ Actor Adam Saunders & the Advanced Film Screening of Eternity which will come out on Thanksgiving Day. The Screenings were shown in different theaters. Each theater was clean w/ comfortable leather seats & had good audio / visual quality. Re-Election also had a Q + A that followed once the film ended. During that time, Director/ Actor Adam Saunders joined others in the cast - Actress/ Comedian Extraordinaire Kym Whitley & Legend Tony Danza, Bex Taylor-Klaus & Rizwan Manji (Rizwan was hilarious in Schitts Creek). They talked about the film, their roles in it, how some of the lines were improvised as they were filming, etc. A Good Q+A! Clean bathroom facilities have been observed / used at Regal Union Square. Regal Union Square Staff have been friendly & helpful, especially when providing information. The Refreshment Line moved quickly-enough and the delicious buttery popcorn is served hot & tasted fresh. regmovies.com @regalunionsquare

Support local theaters over chains if you can still find one. It's absurd how late the actual movie starts. After seeing several trailers I really don't need to see that James Blunt Google commercial again. The bathroom was o.k. and no one talked during today's 2:05 show of Lost And Found In Cleveland so there's that.

This is typically my go to theater. I've had problems in the past with long lines due to them being understaffed or slow employees but today they had what appeared to be some new employees who were quick and had the lines moving. Regal always has the best merch and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some cool sonic memorabilia. The popcorn was buttery and fresh, and the service was great. I also got a cocktail at the bar which was also tasty. By the way, The movie was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're a fan, Go see it!!!

This may be my first visit here but I've been to another theater with 4DX. Walking in this theater I find it very attractive and they offer an escalator and an elevator. At the concession there's a bar on floor 3. I had popcorn which was not to tasty and it contained a lot of Kernel's in the middle of the popcorn tub. I had a hotdog as well. For the price of $7.49 for Nathan's hotdog is ridiculious . I would expect a jumbo hotdog instead. I only have 3 words to explain why they charge this price.... Location, location, location! Watching The Fantastic Four First Steps was inundated. Trying to enjoy the movie in 3D and hold on for dear life became more of a routine tasked. The seats move, shack, spurts water and air. It was entirely to much like a roller coaster ride. I would have enjoyed a regular seat, but I guess I can't really complain because I was treated to the movie and the popcorn and hotdog was free for me but my friends had 2 hotdogs each . People really trashed this theater afterwards. I also found parking 60 E 12th Street.

Love catching movies at regal! the ticket prices run kind of high (more than $20), but it's a very comfortable experience especially for newer movies. Chairs are comfy and recline ever so slightly. The theater has always been clean and the staff is friendly, and there's a large variety of concessions. There's lots of bathrooms as well, so there's never a long wait time.

Saw Five nights at Freddy's today at this location. There were 4 of us. Theater was clean and so were the bathrooms and concession stand. The staff here is so nice and friendly and the lady at the concession stand treated us kindly. Even the staff that cleans the restroom is friendly. Only con are the seats don't recline and they aren't as modern. The chairs need a little upgrade but otherwise i like this location a lot

The recent renovation of this theater is a huge improvement from the original 1990's condition. But many of these 90's auditoriums are long and narrow, so a lot of screens looks small unless you sit up front. This theater has many premium formats and they all seem like silly gimmicks to me - none are worth paying extra. "Screen X" is an ultra wide format where the image wraps around onto the side walls. The side screens are projected from little machines on the ceiling that have washed out colors and often blurry. The viewing perspective does not match between the three screens, so the combined image always looks skewed out of whack. It is the most annoying movie going experience ever. Another premium format is "4DX" - this is Regal's attempt at an amusement park ride, with seats that move, fans that blow heat and odors, and it even splashes water at you. You should read the fine print about Regal Cinemas not being responsible for any injuries you may suffer. Ridiculous. The third premium format is "RPX" - this is Regal's excuse to charge extra for their biggest screen. Theaters didn't use to do that, but I guess they're getting desperate these days. Somehow even "Unlimited All Access" members need to pay extra - so I guess that membership isn't truly 'unlimited' or 'all access'.

This year I was harassed by a patron and each time managers gave me trouble and would NOT kick her out. It was always an ordeal. Each time she Never had a ticket. They discriminated against me and banned me. They never said why and wanted me to sign a paper. LOL They allowed me to be stalked and for months I asked them for help.

Nice and clean theatre with upgraded recliner seats!!! Went here for a screening of the Roofman and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the theatre itself was. The employees were all kind, welcoming and the popcorn was delicious! Can see myself catching a movie at this theatre more often.

I don't know if there's plenty of people that knows about $5 movie at Regal cinemas. It's called Mystery Monday. Now you don't know the name of type of movie it'll be; hence the "mystery". I've been a couple of time and seen very good movies before their release date. I believe they do a discounted popcorn & drink for the movie as well. It's with it if you're into movies or looking for something to do.

So very clean! Elizabeth on the 4th floor was a doll and so professional getting in the radio to get my question answered. Sorry the Yelp crew were so pigs leaving spilt popcorn all over their seat.

The tiniest theater I have ever been to, only had 24 seats. That's not a problem but not having the reclining seats in every theater is an issue. Seats were very uncomfortable make sure you check the theater you pick before you go!

The staff came across as nonchalant and not very engaged, which set the tone right away. The food didn't help either--the spicy tuna was completely flavorless, not crispy and the drinks were underwhelming. We also weren't told ahead of time that you have to pick up your food and drinks yourself, which was surprising since we're used to full service at your seat. On the positive side, the popcorn and truffle fries were decent, but everything else fell short. The seats were just okay--not particularly comfortable. The bathroom situation was also frustrating--it's located upstairs near the restaurant and wasn't well maintained. There were no paper towels, and overall cleanliness was lacking. Overall, this felt like a subpar experience, and I won't be returning. My cousin mentioned the New Jersey location is much better, so maybe it's just this one--but based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend it.

The setup was exciting - having my own private booth made me feel like i was experiencing something luxurious. Then, the menu arrived. Our waitress hit us with the news that most of the menu was unavailable because they had run out of... well, almost everything. It's hard to stay excited about a premium experience when you're basically forced into a "leftovers" draft pick of things you wouldn't normally order. Guava Fresca: Actually pretty good! It's zero-proof and gave off a solid spritzer vibe. If only the food kept that same energy. The "Shareables": We went with the buffalo wings and the coconut shrimp. The shrimp were surprisingly large, but they showed up without any sauce. Both were fine, I guess? Very generic food court vibes and unmemorable unmemorable. Fish & Chips: The chips (fries) were the best part of the meal, which is saying something. The fish had a weird sweetness to it, and the cocktail sauce was aggressively heavy on the cilantro. I'm usually a fan of cilantro, but here it just felt like it was lost and out of place. Also the fish was covered in bread crumbs and not a traditional batter. Lobster Roll: This was the biggest heartbreaker. It was generic, bland, and lacked any real flavor. If you're going to charge theater-premium prices for lobster, it should probably taste like something. It's disheartening to pay for a "luxury" experience only to be told you can't have 70% of what's on the menu. I would've had a much better time if I could've actually eaten what I came for. Sadly, I don't think I'll be back unfortunately

There's a few issues here and a few fantastic things and I think the easiest way is to list them by category. The Bad: -Like others, I agree that the seats unfortunately are not that comfortable here. This is by far the biggest issue here and it should have been addressed years ago and I doubt it will be soon -They still show the same extremely annoying metal band shirt advertisement with flashing lights that is annoying every single time I go here -The staff here aren't the nicest but it's a movie theater so I can deal with it The Good: -If you're looking for independent films and foreign films, this is one of if not the best theater to go to -The occasional Q&A I'm able to go to such as most recently for Eephus; which was an excellent existential baseball movie; and the Ukrainian documentary Porcelain War last year are always entertaining and interesting and they don't cost more so I would recommend them -If you're looking to see some form films to fill out your Letterboxd Oscar list or perhaps the shorts or something, they show virtually all of them here -They have some fun midnight screenings and other things such as the obligatory The Room and Rocky Horror Picture Show of course There's a few other theaters that I like going to more but there's occasionally films that you really can't find anywhere else. Combine that with the fact that this place is so convenient that I deal with any of the issues here. If they fix the seats, you can preemptively switch this to five stars but for now, it's a four.
