Returned to IPIC Fulton St after not having been there for a while. Still a very comfortable environment to see a movie. No more tater tots on the menu but food was still good. Had the Truffle Burger which is a special for the month and it was solid. Our server Kristen was friendly and helpful.

This movie theater was within walking distance of my hotel, Fairfield by Marriott Manhattan/Financial District. I purchased my tickets online and breezed in when I arrived. After finding the right theater, it took me a moment to get oriented to the layout. There were no signs letting me know where to go to find my seat. The seats are arranged in pairs within a pod. There was a wall around the 2 seats with entry possible on only one side. There was no marking on the carpet or side of the wall to indicate which row and which seat numbers were within the pod. I accidentally went down the wrong aisle and needed to step into a pod to see which row and seats were there for me to figure out where I needed to go. Within the pod, there are two reclining seats with a table between them. There was one blanket and one menu. The set up is fine when seeing the movie with a friend or date. It was a bit awkward because I was by myself and seated next to a stranger. I pressed the button on the table and ordered a Black Orchard cocktail and a large Popcorn with Butter and Cheddar. The Popcorn came fairly quickly and was tasty. The Black Orchard did not come after waiting about 20 minutes. I finally pressed the button again to get someone to bring it to me. I should have complained but forgot about it once the movie started. The other thing that took away from the experience was that there was a group of friends who thought that they could socialize while the previews were playing. It was very distracting. No one from the establishment ever asked them to quiet down out of respect for the other patrons although there were servers in and out the entire time. This was disappointing. On the third floor there is a bar and restaurant area. The restaurant area was closed when I went up to that floor. I like the convenience of being able to grab a sit down meal before or after a movie instead of eating at your seat.

First time at this location today to see Superman. Very easy to get to by train. This place is decorated nicely and the theater area is large and fancy compared to the fort Lee location. They even provided a blanket for the premium seats. I wish there were 2 blankets so we didn't have to share but i can't complain too much about that. The service was great and the rest rooms were clean and decorated beautifully. We ordered a large popcorn, coke, 2 beers, and a cheesecake and spent $50. Can't wait to come back.

    My reservation for 1:30

Ruined Christmas. We bought tickets for Zootopia 2 for the 1:30 p.m show and agreed to this time at the moment of purchase. When we arrived at the theater, we found out that the theater had unilaterally changed the showtime to 12:45 p.m By the time we arrived, the movie had already been playing for 45 minutes. As a result -- wasted money and a ruined Christmas mood. I do not recommend this movie theater to anyone.

My husband and I are frequent customers here. We had two orders of fries, buffalo wings and ginger ale. When presented with total, we question the total. We were told 82$. We thought that was high based on the menu. I requested her to come back to explain the bill being the initial receipt on the IPIC app was 64$. She replied, "she made a mistake and put us down for refills." I then received an update bill with a total of about 82$. It stated we had (between the two of us) 5 ginger ales which we didn't have. I believe because it was mentioned to the young lady, the bill was changed. If not mentioned she would have kept the money given to her and only turned the bill in for $64. We gave her a total of 92$. We asked to speak to a manager after waiting for a bit, we were told he was in a meeting. I don't remember the young ladies name but she was training someone today. Very disappointed. It's a good chance my husband and I won't be coming back.

Disappointing Experience & Poor Customer Service This theater is not what it used to be, and frankly, they need a new manager who understands customer service. I bought a ticket for a show on Friday, March 14th, only to find that my seat was broken and missing cushions. I ended up sitting on a wooden bench--which was apparently my "seat" for the movie. The manager stopped by during the show and offered me free passes, but I declined and simply asked for a refund due to the inconvenience. His response? I'd have to leave the movie if I wanted a refund. Seriously? That's how you handle a paying customer? If upper management is reading this, I hope it reflects on how poorly this location is being run. For everyone else--save your money. With these prices, you'd expect better. I won't be coming back, and I'd recommend others avoid it too.

It was our first time at an IPIC theater. The ambience is beautiful and so inviting. As we got seated we saw the staff servicing other tables as we patiently waited. People who even came in after us got serviced. We saw a button in front of us on the table not knowing if it made a sound or if it was to light up, we pressed it several times, and to no avail no one showed up to our table the entire movie. So we did not get our full experience. We would definitely love to return in the near future to have the full experience in hopes that this does not happen again!

Ask the Community - IPIC New York City

Can we make a payment with a cash?

Yes, you can make a reservation in person and pay cash.

    What about parking?

There are parking garages nearby, but not part of Ipic.

Is it possible to book 5 tickets together?

You can book as many together as you'd like. In the pods it's only 2 seats per pod. But at the front in the non member seating you will just have no server to take your order.

    Can u pay with cash?

Yes. Just let the server know when they ask how you wish to pay.

Do the Arm Rests go up?

No, the arm rests do not move or go up.

Is dining offered or has it stopped due to Covid-19?

Yes they offered the full menu when I visited in May. Drinks are also still available for purchase. Only thing is that popcorn is no longer provided free, it's now for purchase.

    Is it private parking?

I'm afraid there's not. There's a parking garage nearby though.

Any official word about re-opening? I did hear there maybe shields to be built between rows for some separation from people.

    Fully open

    Best food to get there?

Lobster roll and nachos are my go to's. Stay away from the flatbreads!

What food would you recommend getting here?

Cheese biscuits, red velvet bread pudding. Popcorn is free!

I bought tickets and then realized they had an app and downloaded it and become a silver member, is there a way to link the tickets I got to the app ? Also for the order ahead dining, can I do that now or do I have to be at the theater?

    Front desk can help

Is it ok to bring children? My kids are 17 and 10 years old.

    Perfectly fine .

Do u they check IDs to watch the movie? Basically are there other any age restrictions other then the drinks?

We went with our 17-year-old. They only check IDs if you're getting alcohol

What do the regular seats look like. Do they have pillows and recline? I may not want to eat.

As per the prior answer, that is exactly true. They don't recline & there's no pillows & blanket. They also don't give you free popcorn in those seats I believe. If you do want anything to eat, you'll have to get it yourself. If you really want to… Read more

Do we get free popcorn in the premiumplus? Or do we have to ask for it ? Do we automatically get it when the movie starts or no?

they will give it to you around 20 mins after the movie starts, or you can ask for it if you want it earlier.

How much are the premium plus seats?

    Like about 60 for both

I signed up for golden membership and am supposed to get a free premium ticket but don't see anything about it once I try to checkout?

Their website and app suck I would suggest trying to figure that out with them on the spot, face to face. Their contact center (on the phone) is not very useful either. In person they are great. They might be able to refund you your money back to a… Read more

You may have heard about the successful company that helped destroy movie theaters by pivoting to "content" meant to promote purchases of high-end TVs and nice couches. (Related, I went to Best Buy and didn't recognize anything. Is that a thermostat? A stereo? A smart garden hose?) This company was so successful, that after Knives Out was heralded as single-handedly reviving non-Marvel film, its sequel was withheld from the theaters it allegedly saved. (BTW, if you were planning to tell me to watch the amazing 53-part Quibi streaming series about The Golden Age Of Hollywood, don't bother). But after Netflix helped destroy theaters, it did a nice thing. It's one of those ironic moments like the purse-snatcher scene in Jay Kelly. It signed a lease that helped the Paris avoid the fate of the Ziegfeld and a million others, in a world where the AMC theaters that destroyed all the independents have been suffering themselves. So, while it was vile that Netflix thought Roma should be seen on TVs, it was nice of them to show it at the Paris, especially for the unusually vibrant sound. I saw Train Dreams Saturday. I suppose, like the kid in Squid and The Whale, I am a philistine. I wish I could praise its morose existentialism but I'm not quite on board. However, I did appreciate the majesty of the northwestern fires and falling trees in this venue. There was no assigned seating; not sure if this is just temporary, but if they keep that policy I might be obliged to overlook Netflix's evil and upgrade to 5 stars.
