I have only came here once to see an RPX Hobbit The Battle Of The Five Armies. The screen was as big as an IMAX, and was cheaper. The seats were extremely comfortable and you can rock them. It is very clean and the staff is very nice. I usually go to the Manassas one since it is 3 miles closer, but in overall, this theater has better prices and deal. read more

The new Regal theatre at Virginia Promenade in Gainesville is Awesome! :) The screens are ginormous and the sound systems are amazing. The staff here is really friendly and courteous. The RPX (Regal Premium Experience) screens are just as good as IMAX if you are wondering. Personally, I think they are better and the prices are cheaper than IMAX too. We were so excited when this "NEW" theater finally opened up literally a mile from our home, after 8 years of going to Manassas and Centreville to see movies. Unfortunately, no one in our house wants to go here... they'd rather go to the refurbished theaters in Centreville. Why? There's no stadium seating, no recliners, and terribly inefficient snack lines. But the MAIN problem is the lack of recliners... a nearly brand-new theater that apparently cheaped out and ignored the biggest trend in multiplexes. PASS. read more

Ordered tickets online to ovoid the lines. The ticket taker couldn't figure out how to use the message Regal sent to my phone so just waved us on. With almost every register open at the snack counter it still took 30 minutes to get some popcorn. Once the lines back up with people waiting to get snacks you are all but blocked from entering on the right side lobby. WITH THAT BEING SAID We went in the new high end theater with high end seating to see Thor in 3D/RPX. It was AWESOME! I've had 2 spine surgeries and the seat was so comfortable I didn't want to leave! They just need to get outside of the theater functioning as well as the inside of the theater. read more

This is a very poorly run movie theater. 10 people waiting in line to get food or drinks. Only one register open but they have 4 employees behind the counter. Those employees seem to be in no rush to help the customers. I waited in line for 10 mins and only 2 people were served in that time. Unbelievable! I will be stopping at 7-Eleven if I ever come back here. read more

Pretty clean but doesn't have discount Tuesdays. It usually shows movies that appeal to families and some movies that aren't showing in Manassas. I don't like the ticket stand (not enough staff) and sometimes the inside ticket machines don't work. They need some more staff at the food since the lines are long. It is close to Warrenton and the Gainesville area so that is a big plus. Saw three movies over the spring break time. I can only Imagine, Gods Not Dead, and Paul. Glad that there is a theater that shows good movies that are not all rated R. read more

Terrible management of a theater. Every Friday new movies come out, and with moviepass becoming prevalent, more people coming to the theaters. Yet every Friday, the kiosk machines are down till the evening. Absolutely ridiculous. So you must wait outside in the elements. But wait, there's only 1 employee always at the counter. Ridiculous. Then the popcorn line is 20+ deep, and only 1 employee at the register taking orders. I've had to wait 30+ min in line almost every Friday. But wait, spring break is here, surely they will increase their staffing shortages. Nope. I'm in line now with my son and it's the same ole same ole. 1 person selling tickets, kiosk machines closed, and one person selling refreshments. This place lacks leadership. read more

This theater is definitely one of the better ones in the Manassas/Gainesville area. It has a classic movie theater feel in some way, which I really like. The RPX theater is awesome! In general, it's a little pricey (what do you expect from a movie theater). The seating is very comfortable and it is fairly clean for a theater. One thing I noticed that does bother me a bit is that the automated ticket machines goof up quite a bit. It kind of ate my tickets a couple times and I had to ask an employee to help me out - a bit inconvenient when you're running late for a movie. Other than that I like it. My family and I have been going to this theater for nearly 5 years and have over all had a fairly good experience. However, when I went there yesterday to see Bohemian Rhapsody with a friend, I was severely concerned about the management style. Particularly the management style of someone my the name of Jennifer. She yelled at an employee in front of a large group of customers about him not completing a task. When he was visibly uncomfortable by being reprimanded in front of said customers, she persisted. This went on for around 2 minutes and delayed service because she felt that it was an appropriate time to handle the situation then. Upon further research, I have found that the turnover rate at this specific regal is fairly high, and I would most likely attribute it to the management. read more

If you attend this theater and participate in the Regal Crown Club, check your account. An employee at this theater has been stealing customers' points - she stole more than 267,000 of mine (that is equivalent to $2,670 dollars spent at Regal) by redeeming points without my knowledge and also stole from my mother's account by putting points on another card, not the one handed to her. Regal has not been responsive to this problem and has repeatedly told me they will contact me with a resolution, and then failed to do so. Check your accounts! read more

Stood inline for 40 minutes to purchase wine, which they advertise only to get to the counter and the cashier wasn't old enough to serve - I was told to get to the back of the line for the managers line. Good viewing experience and atmosphere. However, the prices were atrocious. And I'm not talking regular hiked up movie theater prices. The tickets were ridiculously expensive, and when we got popcorn and a drink I was astounded. I mean these people charged me more than 5 dollars for a bottle of water. Very nice theatre once you get in. The standing in line in the cold and rain with only one person working was ridiculous! There is no reason to have only one person working on a Saturday. Nice theater, but Regal really needs to get their head out of their ass when it comes to serving alcohol. I waited in a long concessions line only to be told that I couldn't be served because the cashier wasn't authorized to sell alcohol. So I got moved to another line where I waited for a manager, who went on to put a bright orange bracelet around my wrist like I was buying tickets to a freaking carnival. Absurd. This location MUST get better with it's customer service. These young employees are disengaged and the food area is way too slow and poorly managed. I waited 30 minutes in line, 15 of those minutes due to the server leaving his register with no explanation to do other things, and ended up getting to my movie late due to the slow service. All four supervisors I saw were in the back instead of helping these employees or at least checking on their service. The register area was filthy and so was the floor. This is unacceptable and if this theater doesn't clean up their act, they will see a decline of movie goers. We expect more... read more

Consistently rude ticket taker. This time while my emailed ticket from Fandango came up, the QR code wouldn't pop up. Tried other sites and emails and they popped up no problem. But Fandango QR would not. So I explained that it wasn't a problem on my end; it's the theater's problem. She snottily retorted " That's not *my* problem." Sweetheart, world is not all about you all the time. Stop taking it personally and learn how to be helpful and courteous. You're in customer service. And failing. She saw my emailed ticket and receipt. Demanded I tell her the theater number bc she didn't know. Somehow she didn't know after directing three other parties to that theater right before us...right. Security helped us get past the child taking tickets. But concessions then failed by giving us carbonated water rather than sprite. ?? This is a new theater for the shopping center. I like this location because of the abundance of restaurants nearby and It'Sugar (genius idea right before the movies). Seats are comfortable and the individual theaters rooms are a decent size. The lobby, ticketing and concession stand however are a little small, so you may have to wait in line. There are three ticket kiosks inside the theater though so you don't have to wait in a long line to buy tickets. read more

This Regal theater has gone down hill since I visited it in June of this year. The hot dog I purchased was sitting in a warner! In June when I ordered a hotdog the kitchen in the back prepared it and it was delicious, the hotdog I got this evening was an over cooked Nathan Dog!! The popcorn was full of hull and not enough butter. The Soda was .....No words for it. There was a couple who sat in the back row from my row who talked loudly throughout the movie. I will not go back to this theater until I hear that the food is back to where it use to be at least. I can deal with the loud patrons....I will just ask them to be quite or report them...Tonight if I reported them it might not have done any good....Please bring this theater back up to where it use to be!! Went there to watch a movie with my son on Thursday afternoon. The kiosks inside were not workin so signs directed us to the front window. It was cold and windy outside and we had to wait in line for 15+ minutes to get our tickets!! They only had one cashier who was literally helping one customer every five minutes. She kept looking up at the line and kept getting overwhelmed. Needless to say there were about 20+ people in line. I finally got to the window, paid for our tickets but she didn't print the ticket stub just gave me a receipt and said that was all I needed. People in line kept asking her to call for help but I don't think she knew what help was. For a theater in a great part of the city you have got to manage it better. There's a lot of potential if you bring a quality management team. I can't see myself going back there anytime soon. Neither will my son or his teenage friends!!! read more

The box office is located so that people have to wait outside to buy tickets. This is unacceptable in bad weather. The theater is understaffed so it takes a very long time to buy tickets or concessions. On my most recent visit, a very cold winter day, the auditorium was freezing - seriously it must have been 35 - 40 degrees. We reported the problem to the ticket taker who said he would take care of it. Several others in the audience reported it. We saw a Regal employee walk through at least twice - the temperature never improved. After the screening everyone in the audience went to customer service where we had to wait at least 10 minutes for a manager to show up. We all got passes for another show, but the manager didn't apologize. She said that the furnace was broken and a technician was working on it now. We should have been told that there was no heat before we bought our tickets so we could have decided whether to stay or see another show. We drove an hour to get to the theater to see this particular movie and so stayed but it was a miserable experience. read more

I'm rating a 1 because I had a very troubling experience that I found upsetting. I came to this theatre Thursday April 26, 2018 around 8ish there was a sign on the glass that read "Please donate our jobs are in danger" When I asked the girls behind the glass what that meant they said they are forced to receive donations to keep their jobs. They said their manager higher up is constantly checking on their donations so she can receive an award of some type and if their donations are not up to par their hours get cut or they could possibly be fired. I feel as if this is disgusting, people should not be forced to donate and employees should not be threatened with termination or early leave because they are not receiving enough donations, I'm interested in what donation has to do with work ethic. I believe charities and sorts should be made aware of this issue, and DROP REGAL FOR IT. Donation is about giving back, it's not a competition and it certainly should not be forced upon employees. Very upsetting. read more
