Reviewers talk about how nice they are, which is true, but I don't go to a dry cleaners to improve my self-esteem, I go to get my clothes cleaned, and they're just the best, the absolute best. Everything I've taken there somehow ends up looking better than they did new. I've taken some clothes with complicated/asymmetrical/extremely pleated styling and they always iron everything perfectly. I used to live in Echo Park, but moved two years ago to the Miracle Mile area, and I still drive myself over there because I can't bear to let anyone else clean my clothes. read more

When I moved from Miracle Mile to Echo Park last summer, my dry cleaner (whom I'd gotten to know pretty well) told me, "Oh no, you should know there are no good dry cleaners in Echo Park." Well, I am more than half tempted to call him and tell him how wrong he was! Within my first weeks living in the area Jenny approached me in the grocery store and gave me her card for Regency Cleaners. They were reopening after a fire and she told me my clothes were nice and I should bring them in if I needed a cleaner. I did. And have ever since. They are so friendly, their prices are great, and they do a great job with a quick turnaround. What more could you want? Did I mention how friendly they are? Great cleaners! Less successful with using them as tailors for complicated items, but they do ok with a simple item or two.

What more can I say that hasn't been said here on Yelp. This place is truly one of the gems of Los Angeles. I WILL NEVER EVER go anywhere else again after coming to this place. The owner is so so nice and very friendly and definitely goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and wanted. This place should be the poster child of customer service for all businesses in Los Angeles. I have gone here a few times to get my suits and coats cleaned and regency cleaners has never failed me once. Everything is done on time and with great care and love. I don't know how they do it but everything always smells fresh and amazing. Trust me, I've been to a few cleaners before that were shady and did not properly clean my garments. To top it all off, this place is very affordable. I was shocked to see the bill for 2 suits and 1 coat for around 12 bucks. The place that i used to go near my house charged around 11 bucks for a coat. For the first time in my life, I want to patronize a business weekly even though I don't even have garments to dry clean. I definitely don't mind the drive from Hollywood to Echo Park even though there are like hundreds of cleaners in between. I love regency. read more

I found Regency cleaners through Yelp, and decided to go there and try it, and I am so happy that I did. I had a few items that needed regular cleaning, but I also had one silk blouse that I had damaged with bleach. I think the business is managed by a couple that are the owners (or not) anyways the couple run it; the wife was very sweet, and the husband very professional. She had her husband look at the blouse, he didn't promise anything but said he will do his best, and he did a great job dimming the brown stain I had left on the blouse, and the regular items also looked great. Their prices are also very fair in compare to other places. I will definitely keep going back to this place, a friendly environment, great prices, and results are great! read more

I know there are 57 reviews all raving about Regency, but I have to add another one! I had a white lace dress that I spilled cranberry juice on in Vegas and totally forgot about. A month later, I found the terrible stain and tried desperately to get it out. I even called some other dry cleaners who told me that since I had tried to hand wash it, I had set the stain even more. For only $8 the owner managed to get the stain out COMPLETELY!! I had given up hope and was even trying to order the same dress online, thinking it was ruined. They are also so friendly, the owner's wife is such a sweetheart. Even though its a drive, the quality of their work, their customer service, and their amazingly low prices will have me coming back. read more

I transported my wedding dress via plane from Chicago to LA and it got pretty wrinkled. I needed it pressed before the wedding so I took a chance on Regency after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I did. First, the owner was one of the sweetest, nicest people I've ever met. She assured me it would be no problem to have my dress pressed and ready the day before the wedding (3 days away) and gave me a high five. My partner decided that she needed to have her dress shirt pressed as well so we went back the next morning to drop it off. While I was there, I noticed a small stain on the elbow and asked if the shirt could be cleaned as well as pressed and ready along with my dress. Again, no problem. When we went back to pick up the dress and shirt, they were ready as promised. The stain was gone from the shirt and my dress was good as new. The owner fussed over it, making sure it was laying nicely in the bag and even carried it out to my car for me and draped it carefully on my lap in the passenger seat. If I lived in LA, I would be taking more of my business here for sure. read more

I borrowed a couple of gorgeous Indian outfits (silk, georgette with tons of beading and stones) from my best friend to wear to an Indian wedding. Someone splashed a pinkish colored drink on one that happened to have a white silk overcoat and I thought it was over. I found Regency Cleaners on Yelp and I decided to go here based on the great reviews despite the fact that it was out of my way because I didn't want to trust these outfits to just a random place around the corner. When I walked in, I felt better seeing wedding dresses being cleaned because I knew that they had experience cleaning difficult clothes, Needless to say, it took an extra day, but they got all the stains out and not one bead or stone was out of place! I was so relieved! I also agree with all the other reviews that the customer service here is awesome and the owners are very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

jenny and chris make you feel like you are still a kid and your mother is cleaning your clothes- they help you to the car, they pay attention to your needs, they do everything with love. and to top it off- my kids colored a white shirt of mine with red marker and some how they got it off! My husband and I recently had our wedding clothes altered and steamed at Regency cleaners in preparation for the big day. Of all the vendors we dealt with for the entire wedding, we had our most wonderful experience here! My dress needed to be shortened and had a stain on it that I was quite nervous about. They actually had a professional wedding dress tailor come to the shop! When I picked up the dress, it was absolutely perfect. We realized at the last minute we'd forgotten to steam my husband's shirt and my veil. Regency not only got it done within a few hours, they didn't charge us a penny! And every time we visited the shop, we got big hugs and sweet words about the emotional side of what we were preparing to do. This is a wonderful place. They are always warm and welcoming, very sweet people. I bring them a lot of vintage clothes with delicate fabrics, a million pleats, etc. So far there hasn't been anything they haven't handled beautifully. Last week I brought in two silk dresses that I had worn to weddings and all that implies (spilled wine, hours of dancing in a hot room) I was pretty sure I had ruined them. The owner said it was a tough case but her and her husband would try their best. Today I picked them up and they were perfect! Miraculous. This ultimately has been the worst cleaners I have ever been too. The 2 Asian women refused to look for my items that were transferred from a location at Adams. The other location closed they never notified me of it or called to let me know. I drove 45 minutes to pick up and the establishment was closed down. I called the available number and a woman at regency cleaners answered asked for my # and checked and let me know they had my items. I drove 1hr 20 minutes to pick my stuff once I walked in she asked for my # then name and looked on a 2pg list and said we don't have it... I asked how to look bc I called before coming in and she refused to help me and had terrible customer service and began to shout in front of her Hispanic workers who spoke to me and told me how she was neglecting me. She then said to look for them myself as if I worked here. Her job in the establishment is to provide customer service and she lacks that and how are you to tell a customer to look for their own clothes. I gave her the ticket and she refused to help me. this was the worst dry cleaning place for miles. liars, thieves, and inconsiderate illiterates. dropped off jeans and a suit for same day pick up, made it clear 2 times and checked once more that they understood i needed the clothes back same day (leaving for a trip that night) and from all the other reviews i thought why not, but every one else who gave them a good review is an idiot, who cares if they're angels or saints or the friendliest people,they are only that friendly because their business is so terrible. when they say something they need to stick to it. "your order will be ready at 6pm" it should be ready at 6, forget that when i called literally 10 min before to make sure you could have my order ready today you told me (and probably every one else who calls just to get them into your store) they'd be ready by 5pm. They also waited till i came to pick up my whole order before they said it wasn't ready, why would they take your number if they're not gonna tell you your order isn't ready before you show up. bottom line they only have so many reviews because they're new to the neighborhood. its not safe to park your car there many friends have had their cars scratched and broken into (well 3)Silverlake cleaners is worth the trip, this place is very expensive. can anyone tell me how to give no stars or half stars? read more

REGENCY CLEANERS IS THE BEST!!!! Words can't express how disappointing it was when my Mom and I finally unvieled her wedding dress from 1977 for me to try on for my own wedding. It was supposed to have been "professionally cleaned and sealed", and when we opened it, it was terribly yellowed, completely stained, and what we both believed to be way beyond help. She was outraged, she had paid $150 back then to have this done. Of course, now we know better - dresses need air! Anyways, I had her ship it to me in Los Angeles, very skeptical but not quite ready to give up. I brought it to another place that would not even touch it. Then, I found Regency Cleaners on Yelp. I was so warmly greeted and assured that they could help. Right on time, 2 weeks later, the dress was ready for pick up. I went to grab it today after work and I was absolutely AMAZED at what they were able to do! The color is completely restored to a crisp ivory & stains GONE. I couldn't help but hug the lovely owner, who is truly one of the Angels in Los Angeles - that's the best way for me to describe her lovely & refreshing energy. Apparently inflation has not affected Regency Cleaners, because I didn't pay much more than my mother did back in 1977. I also brought a lace dress that I somehow got completely twisted up and stuck in the zipper. Again, other tailors/cleaners would not touch it - they fixed it with out a single snag. THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER WITNESSED! DONT BE FOOLED BY OLD REVIEWS - THE OWNERS HAVE CHANGED. We dropped our stuff off and quickly realized 10 minutes later that it was completely over priced so we returned to pick up our stuff for which we hadn't even paid yet. When we asked for our stuff back the owner, Sophia refused and started being extremely aggressive - grabbing my friends arm tightly and yelling at us to get out. It was a whole ordeal and then in order to keep our business she claimed she would give us 10% more discount however upon going to the machine she threw out the original receipt (little did she know we kept photos of it) and printed a new receipt and pretended it was a significant price change when it was only less than $2 of a change (see photos below for proof). After her throwing such a fit we were terrified and just decided to leave our stuff for her to clean but after reading these other terrible recent reviews we realized it wasn't only us so we called back to offer to pay for our stuff without it getting cleaned in order to prevent any damage or lost items and Sophia (owner) pretended to not speak english or Spanish (she's bilingual) and said that there were no more employees left and to call tomorrow. This was at 5:22, they close at 7. We called back to pretend as if we were asking for store hours and not only does she speak english but she started speaking with the co-workers who were still obviously there in Spanish. In the end we are paying full price for our items to NOT have them cleaned out of fear for them getting ruined. I cannot stress enough that you should NEVER ever ever come here. read more
