If I could explain this place in one word it would be.. AMAZING!.. Amazing work, customer service, people! I have always been the type of person who researches everything before I move forward with a company. I am getting married in a couple of weeks. I have been searching for an alteration/dry cleaning company in one that has the best work and the most reasonable price for my wedding dress. I have contacted several seamstress and dry cleaners and I read about this place on yelp. Many of the dry cleaners were overpriced and many of the seamstress who has seen my dress said it was too difficult to alter full lace one of a kind wedding gown and was intimidated by it. But I went to REGENCY CLEANERS and the husband and wife team were super nice and sweet and had their alterations person check out my dress. Their alterations guys is the best! He altered my dress exactly how I wanted it and created it to fit my silhouette better. Even the difficult task of lowering the armpit area was done perfectly. I just picked up my dress and it is perfect and ready for my wedding! I am super happy with the people, the service and the price. I don't really put reviews out there, but this one is worth the time. They are awesome at what they do and you will not be disappointed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone. I know 3 of my friends who just got engaged, and will send them to Regency to get any alterations or dry cleaning done. Their prices a very reasonable and do such an excellent job. It's true. They really are that great. When a dress I had taken in to be hemmed wasn't ready at 5 when I stopped in to pick it up (basically it wasn't pressed because the seamstress had a family emergency). I said, no problem, I can iron it myself. But the owner insisted on finishing the job himself and driving it to my house that evening. Stellar service. read more

First experience today: I took three pretty expensive shirts in today to have them tailored. I was promised they would be "perfect" (or at least I think thats what she said), but you know what, the asian lady (owner?) could honestly take a $#it on my shirts and light them on fire and I would still continue bringing my dry cleaning here. For the 5 minutes I was in Regency Cleaners she made me feel like her most important customer; apparently everyone feels this way too, because every customer who walked in was greeted with a huge smile and a some even got hugs! The way she meticulously marked my shirt for tailoring, the way she caressed my hand as she returned my $11.50 of change, the way she jovially chased after me to my car when i left my cell phone on the counter when I walked out of the store, it was a truly rare customer service experience. I called my girl friend as I pulled out of the parking lot and told her I was considering not moving away from silverlake because of this dry cleaners. A perfect experience! I read all the reviews and am still clueless to the quality of the regular Dry Cleaning. I live a few blocks away so I was hoping for feedback on that, There was great feedback on getting stains out, but I rarely need that. There was great feedback on someone being friendly behind the counter but I don't need a friendly dry cleaner, I need a good drycleaner. I want to know if the clothes come back looking better or at least as good as when I brought them in. thanks people. read more

Fancy clothes can survive the east side! After a different dry-cleaner failed to get out any of the stains on a pair of expensive white linen pants of mine I took them to Regency in a panic. Not only did they remove every last stain but they whitened them up a bit and all by the next day for a very reasonable price. Although, they do same day cleaning too! They are so sweet and they really know what they are doing at Regency. Luckily I live a block away, all my dry-cleaning is going to them from now on. read more

Burned Down - really feel sorry for the owners, who were always friendly and so nice. I hope they are able to recover and start over some day. I moved my cleaning to the Happy Shirt on Sunset near Douglas. It is a tiny place but the owners are nice and I recommend them over the Hollyway Cleaners. read more

The folks at Regency are very nice. They were so nice to my dog, they gave him treats. They treat you like family there. Be patient sometimes with them, as they might need to go put your order together. Jenny is so nice. The price is more expensive, but you are paying for professional, fine quality dry cleaning. This place works miracles. Every stained, soiled or ripped garment I have brought in has been returned spotless and impeccably repaired. On the rare occasion that they aren't able to return an item in pristine condition by the pick-up date, they work on it until it is perfect! I have NEVER had such great service and attention to detail at any dry cleaners. The couple who runs this place are incredibly sweet and welcoming. I cannot say enough how much I love this place. They have saved so many dresses of mine that I given up for lost. Always friendly and helpful. I have not had a bad experience here yet. They are wonderful at repairing garments as well. Just all around an excellent place. I have been a client of jenny and her staff since early 2014, and let me tell you I have been to a lot of dry cleaners that promote this and that and whole lot of who knows what, but I can say that I will be a loyal customer until I can afford dry cleaning. Quick tip jenny and her husband appreciate their hard working staff and are like family and if she notices any kind of bad attitude coming from you she will treat with a fake attitude and smile but she will still provide you with the service, she is real as they come. I brought in a 300$ wool blanket and they ruined it by what looks like scraping the leather patch into pieces. These people have no idea how to dry clean nice things. Typical LA garbage service. I used to come here for years because the previous owners did such a great job dry cleaning all my silk clothes and everything else. However, i found out that the ownership had changed during my most recent visit here. I spent over $100 dollars on dry cleaning my clothes, expecting the same quality, but unfortunately, all of my clothes were not half as clean or well taken care of as before. The new owner also lied about the previous owner's whereabouts. I would drive out of my way to go all the way to Echo Park to get my clothes dry cleaned, but I definitely will not be bringing my clothes back to this place. read more

If I could give this place a million stars I would! I took my dry cleaning in for the first time last week and the service was great.....when i walked in she shook my hand and thanked me for coming in. Since I was new they also gave me a 10% discount on my first order. It was a pretty big order too, so that helped out a lot. When I picked up my clothes she helped me out to my car and gave me a big hug for bringing her my business. She gave me a free lint roller too for christmas :) Its little things like this that make you want to keep bringing business. This place is 1 billion times better than the place I went to before and the price is great too! What sends it home for me is that her husband does all the dry cleaning on premisis, so that ensures things wont get ruined because they are handled with care from the start and not just sent out to some dry cleaning plant. I'd come here for a few years and never had any problems. But last week I brought in a jacket for repair, and receiving it back they had accidentally ripped a giant hole in the sleeve. I confronted them about it, and they said it was my fault because the jacket was old. I demanded that they either repair it for free or refund me, but denied me both. I've given them a lot of business, but now I'm taking it somewhere else. read more

$20 to hem a dress!!!!! so overpriced. there are dozens of alteration places in the neighboring area, go here as a last resort.

I was a loyal customer for a year not because the cleaning was necessarily the best. But Jenny has always been sweet and the location is convenient. But I will no longer be going here as I dropped a rug off to be cleaned one month ago and it was totally ruined with pink stains throughout. When they sent it back to the outside vendor they get rugs cleaned from that vendor said the pink stains that were on my black and white rug were already there. Jenny tried to pass off that the stains on the rug were not that bad. And when I asked to be refunded the $65 I had paid for the cleaning - her husband was super rude and basically threw a refund check at me. Granted they were not the ones that ruined the rug but they refused to take any responsibility for it and were unapologetic on top. I can get mediocre dry cleaning elsewhere. read more

Its the first time I take my clothes to the dry cleaners and I decided to take one blouse for dry cleaning, another for stitching and rain coat for tailoring. I brought it in on a Saturday morning and was told that it would be ready Tuesday and if there was a delay I would receive a phone call. I return Wednesday and my coat was not there, they told me to come back at night- I did so and it still wasn't there. I come back friday and I was told that the tailor did not do a good job and that the raincoat was returned, the clerk hands me my shirts and I find out the shirt that was for stitching was dry cleaned- a service I did not ask for. My experience has been horrible hear only hearing excuses, one after the other. Never returning here again, it seems all they can do is dry clean- definitely not the place to go for tailoring. read more
