iced "Lavender" latte (the robot forgot the lavender)

I always knew of this robot barista coffee spot but never tried it until now. You pretty much order at the tablet or you can scan the QR code and order ahead. It's definitely worth a try for the first time. Note to definitely stir your drinks afterward (the left side has the lids and straws/stirrer, etc)!!! It's cool entertainment and this definitely marked my first ever robot coffee drink. Pricing was about $6.50, which isn't too bad for standard cafes and their pricing. Hidden gem on the corner of California and Brand. This tiny grab and go coffee spot is known for its unique drinks. Service was quick and friendly. There's no indoor seating, but parking is easy nearby. If you're into trying unique coffee drinks, this spot is worth checking out. We ordered the cold brew with the Cantina cream top and an iced vanilla latte. Regent uses whiskey or bourbon barrels to age the beans. I didn't realize until after and ordered the Cantina cream top (which I was not prepared to drink @8 am). I did feel like the vanilla latte was a bit watered down.

Hmmm...What to say... After reading several reviews on Yelp, I decided to check this place out. The drink menu is limited and most cold drinks come in 8 oz. (Really? so small and so expensive) The 12 oz size for cold drinks are also limited and pricey. With that said, I was already sorry I had come here and thrown on what to order. I thought I had ordered the Cold Brew with Vanilla and cold foam but sadly I was wrong...I got what looked like a 12 oz cup of milk for $9! If you know anything about me, you know I like strong coffee and do not like milky looking coffee...So, this girl was not happy. My sister ordered an ice coffee which came in the "mini me" size for $8! Very over priced coffee here...I won't be back...but that's just my take... *ONLY A FEW TABLES - out front on the sidewalk *METER PARKING - only

A hidden gem on the Southwest corner of California & Brand. This little hole-in-the-wall spot may only have 4 outdoor tables, but it delivers one of the most unique coffee experiences I've ever had. Their variety of roasts is impressive...including barrel-aged coffee, which I can't believe I'd never tried before. Barrel-aged bourbon/rum/whiskey/wine/etc.? Sure. But barrel-aged coffee? Game changer. We tried the Bourbon Tiramisu Dream and the Yuzu Matcha Cream Top. The BTD was absolutely amazing. The espresso's barrel-aged character gave it this nonalcoholic bourbon essence that took it over the top. The Yuzu Matcha Cream Top was just as impressive, made with house-made yuzu syrup and a light elderberry cream that tasted incredible. A couple well-crafted drinks. Definitely planning to come back and try more of their offerings. If you're into coffee that's a little out of the ordinary, this place is a must.

I Like Coffee Because It Gives Me The Illusion That I Might Be Good At Giving Reviews. That said let's begin this roaster review. Regent Coffee is a local coffee roaster that produce exceptional quality drinks. They are located on Brand ave in Glendale. They have coffee and tea drinks as well as specialties. Similarly, they offer a limited pastries. Indoor seats are nonexistent albeit they have front outdoor seats with a fantastic street view. We came on a warm-98 degree-afternoon to quench our thirst. We were perfunctorily greeted by a tall female (with pink highlight hair) staff. I perused their menu and ordered a Burundi Cold Brew ($7.50) x 1/2 & 1/2 milk. I was desirous of having refreshing drink at this shop, and they did not disappoint. My CB was really smooth, full, and perfectly sweetened with slight hint of Mango fruit. Prices matched the quality of their coffee drinks. Service was good. Staff were affable with compendious knowledge of coffee making. Vibe was positive. Overall, as a first time customer I liked my cold brew and had a pleasant order experience. I highly recommend you visit.

Second time coming here, it is has the small coffee shop feel as its not super big inside but I like how its mostly dedicated for the making of coffee. The barista that was taking our order seemed to be tired or did not offer any suggestions or ask if we needed any recommendations when we were looking at the menu for a while. Didn't feel welcoming. I felt the lobby area to be less upscale than i remember. The neon board is not lit. The wall with the text before used to be a big menu with the letters, it felt a bit empty with just the phrase on there. I got the Lavander Latte with oatmilk. It tasted great, no complaints with the coffee. Overall good coffee, but the service and lobby can use some improvement, as the coffee is not cheap, theres lots of coffee shops around to choose from.

Disappointed in the milk options. Only whole milk for a dairy option, no skim or nonfat. If you don't mind the calorie count, you might like this place. Most people seem to love the heavier items they carry like whole milk tiramisu latte thats a cream top, rich pastries and banana pudding, but wish there were some variety. They also seem kinda short staffed. Coffee quality is decent and the shop is cute. Not really a place to hang out as there's no real seating in case that's what you're looking for.

Dropped by Regent Coffee in Glendale with my good friend. If memory serves, this coffee shop has been here for many years. It seems that they have remodeled. The inside is mostly for coffee roasting and brewing coffee drinks. Only aboit 25% of the store at the front is space for ordering drinks and to browse postings / flyers / communications from the community. I wish there was inside seating. Still, the store is charming, clean, and gives you the sense that they take coffee seriously - a desirable quality for dedicated coffee connoisseurs. The staff person helping us was friendly, making helpful suggestions as we perused their menu. Since it was hot, my friend and I were wanting a refreshing drink. The store offered a specialty barrel-aged espresso tonic with lavender syrup. They also had a fizzy (sparkling water) americano with yuzu syrup. It was my friend's first time trying an espresso tonic so we ended up customizing our own drinks: classic espresso tonic (tonic water) with yuzu syrup. Our drinks were perfect: good espresso that was rich in flavor, perfect hint of bitterness, offset by the sweetness of the tonic water and the bright citrus from the yuzu. They also had some pretty tasty looking pastry options which I skipped this time around. I'll be back again for sure.

I had the maple latte and tried the bourbon cold brew. The bourbon cold brew was quite tasty, its strong and you can definitely taste that alcohol-y twist while keeping it non-alcoholic. The maple latte was just okay in my opinion, the espresso tasted quite good but I couldn't stand quite taste the maple. Although there were other people working at the shop, it was one person taking the orders and making the drinks when we walked in. We had to wait about 15- 20 minutes for our order to be taken/order to be ready. Afterwards there was a long line behind us. There really isn't any place to sit inside but there are some tables outside.

Really cute coffee shop in Glendale, close to the Orange Street parking structure. It's very small inside with no indoor seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go cafe than somewhere to sit and hang out. The Bourbon Tiramisu Dream was a little pricey at $8 but very delicious, I can tell that the ingredients and coffee beans are high quality. I would recommend trying their drinks, especially if you care a lot about unique coffee beans/blends.

We decides to stop by Regent Coffee after picking up Portos. Regent is a cute little coffee shop that serves pastries and drinks. I decided to try the Yuzu matcha and i was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! The Yuzu was very citrusy and light and the drink was not sweet at all, which is something I prefer. My housemate also agreed that the drink was very light and refreshing! The matcha wasn't very strong but I didn't mind it. Definitely a must try if you like yuzu!

Arrived around 12:45pm on the weekend and it was not too busy. I ventured out and tried something totally new which was the Iced Celestial Oolong Cream Top and it was one of my favorite sweet drinks. It was so smooth and not too sweet. I just wish it came in a larger size for what I paid for cuz it was gone in no time. Hipster ambiance with no indoor seating unfortunately. They have a few small tables outside. Would order from here again. Service is very fast.

They really care about the art of coffee here. The baristas are extermely attentive as they do pour overs and have all this complicated coffee machinery. Seriously next level coffe right here. I had the almond latte and it was absolutely perfect as the ratio of coffee to milk was ideal! The coffee itself was roasted to perfection as the bitterness was not overwelming but smooth with undertones of chocolate! Definetly worth checking out from a change from the usual starbs. read more

First time here. With the 5-star rating and my affinity for all-things coffee, trying this place out was inevitable! -Amazingly friendly and pleasant service. -Quaint coffee shop vibe. -Jazz music. -Great location. -Free wifi. -Delicious cold brew! For some reason I always have lower expectations for businesses around the Americana area, thinking that they're just unmemorable chains, but this spot is the real deal! Stopped by today and tried their nitrogen cold brew and Kyoto coffee. I believe we were served by the owner who seems very dedicated to the craft of coffee and tea, and demonstrated and explained his techniques to several customers who came in after us. The interior is very tastefully designed and pretty chill. Very excited to have this in the area and will definitely be back soon! read more

Awesome place! This was the type of coffee place I was hoping would open in Glendale. Real legit, high quality brews. You can actually taste the coffee and it's super smooth. Beautiful place. Love the atmosphere. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a unique selection of pastries, including Baklava. Flavored Coffee selection is pretty straight forward, but we're here for the regular coffee. Their brewing process is unique and thoughtful and their single pour over packs are ingenious. Amazing coffee! Way better than Philz and coffee bean specially this place does not over charge you! Love going by regent coffee every time I go by Leon the owner is there and his amazing knowledgeable about coffee beans! Check out their site for his beautiful story of how it all became to be! Great spot to grab a coffee. I've tried both their matcha latte and their turmeric latte. I'd recommend both, especially the matcha because it comes unsweetened. They have a nice interior and the atmosphere is welcoming. I don't think they have a huge selection of pastries/food, but their drinks are delicious. read more

I work in Glendale and had been waiting FOREVER for a third wave coffee shop to open. Fortunately we now have two excellent ones, of which Regent Coffee is the latest. They roast their own beans, and their espresso drinks are rich and smooth, with just the right hint of acidity. The location is super conveniently located in downtown Glendale, and they are also rapidly getting up to speed with the usual accoutrements (pastries etc). You are a lifesaver, Regent, keep up the great work! read more

Have you ever been served an iced mocha that looks like a shot of espresso poured over iced milk? When you noticed you were the only customer in the cafe and ask if that was a mocha did you get "you just have to stir it" as an answer? When you tried this mocha did you taste chocolate? Well I didn't, so I asked for more and was handed the chocolate sauce to squeeze and stir it myself. Over 5 dollars spent for on some diy service, subpar chocolate sauce, milk, and coffee. I'd be further disappointed with humanity if this place lasted. Go to one of the bakeries, Portos or 85 (both are about a block away) for your morning indulgence. read more

I love this cafe! I usually hang out here when waiting for my husband to get off work. The barista is super sweet, quick and efficient. I just watched her take orders from four different customers and get their drinks made in less than 10 minutes. She, by herself, is quicker than Starbucks with a full staff. Regent's Coffee is delicious and the cafe is decorated super cute as well. This is a great place to get away from the busyness of Brand Boulevard. read more

If you're a snob (admittedly or not) that has to have fresh-roasted (not burnt) beans for your home manual brew routine, this is the only place in Glendale and one of the top places to go in all the surrounding areas for consistently great coffee. Leon has probably forgotten more than most people will ever know about coffee and loves to share. Great ownership, great staff, great menu items, great space, great value. Go check it out! read more

This place is great. I have never been here during rush hour, but it was a simple and quick process to order my coffee. I have purchased their latte, pour-over, and cold brew and I was hooked on all of them. The only negative is price. It is a bit on the pricey side, so I limit my trips here. They do sell coffee- I believe I paid $13 for a pound of coffee. If you buy coffee beans, It comes with an espresso shot. read more

I like to patronize small coffee/cafes/espresso shops whenever I go to different cities & towns. Glendale is no different. I read the reviews and decided to stop in on my morning walk. They have, more or less, one size - about 8 oz. I ordered a mocha (comes with 2 shots), which is listed on their board for $5. I added a 3rd shot for a grand total of over SEVEN BUCKS!!!!! The coffee was decent but WAAAAAAAAY overpriced. Unfortunately, I won't be back. read more

I love the coffee from this place, finally, I found the shop, where coffee tastes exceptional! The barista is obviously is a super fan of the coffee science, which makes the place unique spot. Best vanilla latte I ever had. I wish I had the name of the guy who made it. He was very nice, there wasn't too long of a line, chill vibe in there with free wifi. I just ran in and out but the latte was so good. Perfect blend, flavor, perfect temperature. Price was high around $6 but I felt it was worth it for quality ($4 at Peet's or Starbucks gets you a small, more acidic, cheaper tasting vanilla latte). Will definitely be coming back!! read more

I am intrigued by the Bourbon barrel aged cold brew. How much of the Bourbon flavor permeates the Cold Brew?

It's pronounced; there is no mistaking it's there, but it's an essence rather than tasting like an additive. Definitely worth trying the cold brew and the various whole bean options.

Well this place ISN'T Greenbergs! I enjoyed for weeks their raspberry muffins only to have their store pull it off their shelf saying I was the only customer who liked it. Next came their bacon burritos, which were delicious and popular. Then of course the store told me last week that they won't carry them anymore. A good way to lose a loyal custome, but here the preferences of the loyal customers apparently don't warrant that much consideration. As for the coffee, it is served in paper cups that quickly dissipate the heat so that by the time you finish a cup, it is ice cold. And they refuse to reheat it. No longer recommend.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.

Once you step inside, though, the space feels completely different--bright, airy, modern, and open, with a clean minimalist design. Seating is very limited, but the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with light music playing softly in the background. We were greeted with smiles and friendly hellos as soon as we walked in, and the employee who took our order was both knowledgeable and welcoming, happily answering questions about the coffee offerings. One thing we really appreciated was that they paired each coffee with a small sample of the dried ground beans so you could smell the aroma before taking your first sip. It was a fun and unique touch that enhanced the tasting experience. My husband's Emerald Series La Roca Sidra iced pour-over had a sweet, red wine-like aroma, while my Emerald Series Chiroso Imperial iced pour-over offered deep floral notes of jasmine and rich caramel. For food, my husband ordered the avocado mushroom open-faced toast, and I got the avocado mushroom smoked trout open-faced toast topped with cucumber, pickled red onions, and dill. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The coffees were especially memorable and showcased the care that goes into their roasting and brewing process. The only downside for us was the price. While the quality of both the food and coffee was excellent, we felt the portions were on the smaller side for what was charged. Overall, The Boy & The Bear offers delicious specialty coffee, thoughtfully prepared food, friendly service, and a chill atmosphere. If you're looking for a unique coffee experience and appreciate the nuances of specialty beans, it's definitely worth checking out.

I love this place! They recently implemented an art gallery from a coveted LA artist so not only can you enjoy a nitrogen injected cold brew, you can check out DTLA's finest art! This business also has a great service and food quality. They resource beans directly from farm to specialty coffee. They also roast the beans directly in their location and focus on the microclimate that the region that grows the be in. An extremely high focus on the quality brings this business to the highest levels of success that I can see. Leon is a knowledgeable owner who I got a good chance to speak to. Dee is making homemade mocha and Becca is an awesome Barista. Very talented business running here in Glendale, I can't wait to visit again. read more

Today I decided to stop by Regent Coffee bar, a place I used frequent before the pandemic to pickup a nitro cold brew. They have change some things since then such as only being able to order from the doorway using a contactless payment method and integrating an online order solution with a pickup near the door similar to starbucks. It's good to see that the place is still in business and that the quality of their coffee hasn't changed since the events of late. I'll be frequenting again. read more

The person behind the counter was very friendly, which is always a plus and the biggest reason behind the 3 stars and my being willing to give this place another shot. I don't care much for hot coffee so I did not try any of their options. For cold coffee and cold brew, they had two options which were unavailable and the one which was I didn't like the taste of. Again, willing to give it another shot and maybe those other options are better, but not my cup of coffee. read more

I've been coming here for two years. This is one the the best coffee shots in Glendale. Coffee is delicious. Service is great. The interior design is cool, too. There;s a bathroom in the back, so if you don't see it just ask the staff. Street parking is available or you can just park in the Porto's parking lot. Make sure to get there before 5pm as they close this soon. Most of the coffee shops do so though. read more

Regent Coffee is a nice little spot with a cool atmosphere and solid service. I ordered an Americano, which is my go-to, and while it is hard to get that drink wrong, it was still well made and enjoyable. The place was not too busy when I stopped by, which made it easy to relax, and the service was quick and efficient. Im new to the area and was at first excited to have found a specialty coffee place. The coffee is not bad but the customer service needs to be worked on. Several times i have been "helped" by a young girl with no "Hello", no smile. Kind of felt unwanted there. The ambience is not very welcoming but will do for a quick coffee fix. One of the best coffee shops in LA. Cozy and warm interior, and friendly service. The owners know how to roast and dial in coffee well to please all palates.
