I said I would be back, but it wasn't as good as the first time and they still don't serve alcohol. Lol. This time I ordered filet mignon and lamp chops.

Friendly service, clean atmosphere. Came here for the halal steaks, but sorry to say it was disappointing. I got the 16oz tBone and it seemed very dry and no taste. The meat didn't seem juicy enough. The other dishes, appetizer-siracha shrimp were good, nice heavily sauced. The chicken pasta was also good. Everything is a huge portion, so that's a plus! The virgin mojito drink was also delicious.

Decided to give it a shot as I was in the neighborhood . We got there for lunch and were seated right away . It was just us and another table in the restaurant, not busy at all . I was actually pretty hungry and already had decided what I wanted . We sat there literally 10 minutes, without someone coming to take our order . Order was finally taken by an elderly man , who was actually super nice . We told him please try to have it out ASAP. Our appetizer order was taken wrong so he actually brought out extra food, never a bad thing . Me and friend of mine both ordered the same Volcano Burgers cooked medium rare . Came out a bit well done , I didn't mind I was so hungry. Overall the restaurant it self seems a bit pricey . For lunch our bill was over 50$ . Ambiance - 7/10 Service - 5/10 (Need more workers) Parking- Street WiFi- Yes *There VIRGIN MANGO MOJITO was the best*

Would definitely come again to this halal steakhouse. Very nice ambiance and decor. Service was really good, but we did come at a not busy time. They brought out the dessert with a candle for the birthday honoree (by request). The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly to each of our temperature requests. Would not recommend the poutine. Bar is all non alcoholic.

Was out in Long Island showing some homes and putting in offers. The buyers picked this place! It was a former steak house/bar that went out of business and now is another halal-based steak house (minus the bar) the prices and dishes attracted us from a distance based on their online advertising. However when you come in, the prices as dishes are different, we questioned it and the staff said the don't have access to their online log-in issues. The place had fair vibes however reminds you of the former business. Not much was renovated to make the new business feel more at home! Their disses are what appears to look common as it was at every other location. Surprisingly we all ordered burgers over anything else. Cooked to our preferences and came out as expected the burgers were all a bit different but all worthy of it'd own name & special taste that made it, it's own! The service the staff had provided was fair. It couldn't have improved a bit more but nothing unworthy to recall.

This is supposed to be a patty melt and steak fries. Just awful.

This is what they call a PattyMelt. Every place I've ever been, it's burger made like a grilled cheese on rye with sautéed onions. Apparently this is how they do it. Tried the onion rings which were soggy and greasy. The steak fries were underdone. Just a horrible food experience. I won't be back. The best thing about this meal was the glass of water with lemon and my server was polite about it. Thanks.

I walked into Istanbul. It's almost the same set up as its predecessor Harper's except for a few odds and ends thrown around. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Dinning here seems like I'm at Church and on a lunch break. It's quiet and feels very peaceful and the many families and babies around lend to this air. Many of the patrons looked middle east-ish, TO ME. Many scarves, turbans, Hijabs and Kufis and I felt a quite under-dressed and a wee bit exposed in my ripped, fitted jeans and my tank. (I assumed it was) a bachelor party who came in after I did and man I hope those dudes got at least a little bit rowdy after leaving Sam's because maaaaan, they were so laid back, so chill. Brahs, all this talk of your Snapchat and IG accounts does not a great bachelor party make. Haven't you seen Hangover! My apologies, I digressed with my evesdropping and thing. My burger was fine in all it's crumbling glory. My fries were good, my virgin (it's a halal establishment) colada was just what the doctor ordered after plantation toiling. Story about the waitress, the menu and I: When I told the waitress I didn't want any onions in my American burger she replied "that's okay because we don't put it" when she saw my baffled look she "explained" "it's on the menu but we don't put it". Okay. Strange. She listed some items that were available but not listed in the menu (confusing, you include what you don't have and exclude what you do?) So, although these aren't in the menu there's lamp chops, spicy burger, fillet ribs bbq sandwich......she said some more items but she was quick and...arrrmm never mind. Nice, different vibe but appreciliked. The End.

Amazing steaks and burgers. Possibly the best steak joint in NY NJ area. We ordered few burgers, steaks and ribs. Thy were all delicious and cooked exactly how we asked them to. The service was professional and friendly. It's reasonably priced considering the location. Can't wait to stop by again.

I have ordered takeout before but today I just needed a moment to sit and enjoy something comforting . This place and the chowder did the trick. The place has been around since the 30's so that says a lot. They do have tables outdoor under a tent but I love the nostalgic vibe of the inside counter with the little stools. You can watch them fry up all the goodies. I was immediately greeted, sat and my beautiful bowl of chowder came. The service is endearing and though my first time dining in, they treated me like I was a regular and they do with everyone. Maybe that's why they have been around so long. Good food is great but service that makes you feel like you are a regular is top tier. As The clouds rolled in the thunder struck and as the rain poured down, I enjoyed my lovely bowl of New England clam chowder. They are heavy on the fresh clams and just right on the potatoes. They do have the red chowder and their Long Island version which is a mix of the 2. This just hit the spot all around and on a day like I was having today, filled my soul. I'll BE BAck for the good fried goodies next time. Thank you!

As someone who isn't the biggest fan of tomato based soups, but doesn't always want the heaviness of a cream based soup, this is the best of both worlds. Its flavor was rich yet balanced. The cream brought a smooth, velvety body and subtle sweetness, while the tomato added a bright acidity and savory depth. Potatoes provided gentle heft and earthy comfort, while onions, celery, and herbs built a layered, homey backbone. There was a good amount of tender clams, with natural sweetness that tied everything together. We also got an order or mini crab cakes. The exterior was golden fried, with a nice crunch. The interior was more crab than filler, with enough structure that it held together. It was simply seasoned, supporting the crab instead of overshadowing it. The horseradish Dijon sauce was more Dijon than horseradish. It brought a gentle tang and little bite to add a depth of flavor to the crab cake. Also of note, when you sit down they bring tartar sauce and cocktail sauce to your table. Both sauces were honestly the best of their kind that I can remember having in a very long time. I couldn't even tell you what made them so amazing, but I must have commented at least 7 times about how good they were. There's a reason Bigelow's has been around for almost 90 years. It's a simple spot, with old school charm, that knows a good thing when it's got it, and doesn't mess with perfection. It just continues to serve up consistently good fried seafood (with a few grilled options so you can drag your health conscious friends and they'll find something too).

The first thing you notice is that getting there feels like navigating a maze since it's tucked away in a secluded location. The food is consistently outstanding, and the drinks are always on point. I have to give a special shoutout to our favorite server, Elaine. She is always approachable, kind, and makes us feel like family. Every visit feels personal--she remembers us, asks how we've been, and even knows our usual orders before we ask. The new hostess and the greeting by Phillipe could not have made us feel any more welcome. We were offered a choice of seating and while we love the look and feel of the back patio it was a bit too cool and breezy out there.... We decided to sit in the front room as it is generally quieter and more low key. There were many larger groups with celebrations and you could see they were all having a good time. Our waiter Luis, came and introduced himself, brought our menus and inquired about water, drinks, etc. We told him we wanted only pumpernickel rolls: they are warm, fresh out of the oven and truly addictive. Our waters and my white Zinfandel arrived shortly thereafter. Our fresh goat cheese salad arrived with the raspberry vinaigrette and as always it was carefully divided. Luis came to check on everything as he and other staff members ( both members who we know through dining here repeatedly over the years) and new additions. Everyone always treats you like family. Very good pacing of the meal.... Nice and leisurely, not rushed but no long breaks between courses. Then our main dishes arrived. My husband had the pappardelle with mixed seafood, no sausage- plentiful and loaded with flavor. I get the shrimp a La Rodos.... 5 very nice sized shrimp with with lots of diced fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, served with my 2 favorite side dishes- mashed potatoes and beets.... All YUMMY and very generous portions. My husband's Stella Artois arrives in a nice cold glass with the main dish, as requested. Luis again checks on everything and then shortly thereafter we get the surprise of the evening. Peter, the new owner stops by and chats with us. It was a pleasure to meet him: we are sure he is very busy running back and forth between his two restaurants. and making sure that everything is going smoothly. We had a lot to talk about. Well, he has a tough act to follow but so far the food, service and hospitality are still 5 star !!! We ended our meal on a high note. A FABULOUS meal has to end on a sweet note. We were offered about 5 or 6 dessert choices. We selected the chocolate mousse cake. A rich, creamy sweet conclusion to a superb meal served by a warm, caring staff. Everyone including Luis, Felipe and the new hostess gave us a fond Farewell on the way out. We eagerly look forward to returning after their vacation at the beginning of August !! Congratulations, Peter, Phillipe and staff !

While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.
