I stopped in to grab an Alfredo pasta with chicken. The restaurant was not crowded but appeared cluttered with different items. One of the tables appeared like it was not cleared from the previous guests. The pasta dish looked better than it tasted. It was salty and overly cheesy. Sam's Steakhouse was great and I'm really glad that I got to take my parents out here for their anniversary. They strictly eat halal and Sam's looked like the right place for a nice lunch. We got a couple of mocktails, onion rings, poutine, the lamb chops, and steak. Yes- it was more than enough food for 3 people :). Albeit the service was a little slow, the server was very friendly and great which negated that. Everything was tasty and the only reason I gave 4 stars was because the bread on my burger was super stale. Rather than that, no complaints just stick to the steak here! read more

Went here a few days ago with some friends. Got the BBQ wings as appetizer which was good. I ordered the 10oz Ribeye which came with side salad and steak fries (you have a choice of fries, mashed potatoes, vegetables). The side salad wasn't great as some of the greens were wilted. I yelped a local spot for lunch and drove here in the rain. I checked out their Instagram first and it looked like they had high quality steaks and that was what I was in the mood for so here goes. The service is sub par. They do not serve alcohol so I wonder if you can bring your own BYOB- I failed to ask. I'm not sure why the servers seemed intimidated by myself of my sister but it was apparent that this was a local spot that maybe religious people would go to. My sister did not like the mashed potatoes from the box but they weren't bad. The steak was the best part. I mean it was great. Was out in Long Island showing some homes and putting in offers. The buyers picked this place! It was a former steak house/bar that went out of business and now is another halal-based steak house (minus the bar) the prices and dishes attracted us from a distance based on their online advertising. However when you come in, the prices as dishes are different, we questioned it and the staff said the don't have access to their online log-in issues. The place had fair vibes however reminds you of the former business. Not much was renovated to make the new business feel more at home! Their disses are what appears to look common as it was at every other location. Surprisingly we all ordered burgers over anything else. Cooked to our preferences and came out as expected the burgers were all a bit different but all worthy of it'd own name & special taste that made it, it's own! This is what they call a PattyMelt. Every place I've ever been, it's burger made like a grilled cheese on rye with sautéed onions. Apparently this is how they do it. Tried the onion rings which were soggy and greasy. The steak fries were underdone. Just a horrible food experience. I won't be back. I walked into Istanbul. It's almost the same set up as its predecessor Harper's except for a few odds and ends thrown around. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Dinning here seems like I'm at Church and on a lunch break. It's quiet and feels very peaceful and the many families and babies around lend to this air. This is a great last min find. I took my dad here for a belated fathers Day dinner. They don't serve alcohol which is perfectly fine. They have mock tails and soft drinks. We started with the siracha ships which was delicious. Then we both got the NY strip which was cooked to perfection. I got mine with mashed potato and gravy and he got his with a side salad. I don't understand how there is one woman serving the entire restaurant. I've seen this in other reviews but was unfortunately able to experience it last night. How can you expect one person to wait the entire dining room, run dishes out from the kitchen, AND make drinks? Definitely need at least 2 servers. It took us 15 minutes to get water or any attention from the staff. As for placing orders, another wait time of 20 minutes. The food came out at a decent time. However, to pay the bill, get more water, return the bill, we had to get up and go to the server. So what am I tipping you for? Moving on to the food, for appetizers nachos and wings were tasty. The wings were really tiny but they were at least packed with flavor. The New York Strip 14 oz. steak tasted good with a side of rice included. With salt and pepper on top, it was a good steak. The rib eye was quite thin but still had flavor, and not too much fat. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and yummy. The filet mignon, however, was the biggest disappointment. It had barely any flavor and had a boring sauce on top. We had to take it home, because we didn't want to waste it. The surf n turf is a good deal that has a nice twist of variety. The burgers were really good! We had the volcano burger and shroom burger. But the top bun was kinda cold and stale. It wasn't feeling warm and fresh. The mango mojitos tasted like syrup and I would definitely recommend watering them down. Overall, I may come back for some burgers but this one time was enough for steak. My steak was salty, spoke to the waiter about it, he could clearly see I barely touch it all he said was sorry and walked away. I had mozzarella sticks as my appetizer. Came here for my cousin's birthday lunch around 2pm on a Sunday. There wasn't any wait time and we didn't have prior reservation. The manager walked up to us and took us to the table and got us seated right away. Started out with a mango mojito which was delicious, definitely recommend. For appetizers we got garlic Parmesan and bbq wings. Both were really good. For entree I got the 14 oz ribeye steak with waffle fries. I prefer my steak cooked medium rare. Fries were well done and delicious. Coleslaw had a sweet tinge to it, it was also delicious. Side Salad -3 Stars -Spinach greens tasted old but the rest of the Salad was fresh.
