I ordered a pizza & immediately got a call telling me that my dad was dying & to rush home (To CT). I was shocked & just sat a table in front of pizza Regina at cape cod mall. It was minutes until I could get up & go get my pizza. The check out girl had sold my pizza to someone else because I hadn't responded when she called out that my pizza was ready. This was wrong but not my complaint about pizza Regina. I went back this week, ordered a pizza & asked the cashier to hold onto it & not sell it because I was going to run down to return something at Dick's. She said, snottily, "we don't do that". I said "it was done to me & it happens, please just hold it til I get back". She argued with me that "it never happens". Dif girl. I said to her, "do you think I could make it up out of the blue? It happened". She said, "no it didn't". I said, "what happened to the customer is always right? All you have to say to me is 'don't worry I'll make sure it won't happen today'". She was snide, condescending & just plain mean. I came back for the pizza & she obviously told the other 3 workers because she turned back to the guy already grabbing my pizza, like he knew me, & rolled her eyes at him. I think this is the best pizza in Hyannis and perhaps the best in the United States. I covered the United States for Hancock and never found a better pizza. The Regina at the mall is exactly the same you get at the original Regina in the North End. They've had the same staff for many years. While it was okay, it was definitely nothing special. The crust lacked much flavor, and there was something that seemed to be missing from the flavor profile of both the pepperoni and the veggie pies. To my wife and I, pizza is life! Regina Pizzeria at the Cape Cod Mall rocks the pie and always has a ton of items for their sell by the slice. Yesterday I bought a large pizza from them since we were about to take a road trip. I bought a pepperoni, sausage and pepper pizza which was delicious. I had assumed that since they were busy I would be waiting forever, but they had my pizza done in under ten which was amazing. In the end, I love the pizza here and I am happy that we had it for dinner. Originally out of North End Boston, Regina's Pizza is a hidden gem. Truly a hidden gem as it's located in Cape Cod's finest establishment--their Mall! The secret to Regina's is to skip the pizza by the slice and get a whole pie. Fresh out of the brick oven, crispy crust on the outside but amazingly fluffy on the side. As you know, my rule of thumb is to judge a pizza joint by its cheese pizza (Laura L. agrees with me on this fact 100%!). Regina's cheese pizza, in addition to being about $5 less then all other pizzas at $14&change, is amazing! Seriously amazing. Get it hot, fresh from the oven and you won't be disappointed. They give you as many plates as you need and you'll be sitting in the middle of the mall food court, but that's part of Regina's charm weirdly enough. Hyannis location needs to retrain their employees on the proper amount of sauce for their pizza. We really enjoyed the Solomon Pond location but the staff in Hyannis needs to put more sauce on their pizza. The multiple times we've tried have all been the same, barely any sauce. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I waited in line and the girl taking orders would not take my order. She saw me and skipped me and kept going to others. I had my boyfriend try to get her attention, she looked at him and would not take his order also. After waiting for a little bit we still didn't get our order taken. So we left. I don't understand why she wouldn't serve us. She served others fine but when it came to us, we were ignored. It takes about 15-20 minutes to cook so order and shop the Cape Cod Mall for a few while they fire up your personalize pizza which will be ready piping hot when you return. This pizza is the best I have had anywhere in the United States. My husband and I lived 3 years in Italy, 1 1/2 of which we were in Naples, the birthplace of pizza. All the years since we returned I have looked for that same Neapolitan pizza and never found it until I discovered Regina's. We now live in both New York City (where the pizza is terrific, but still not as good as Regina's) and on Cape Cod, and the first, middle and last thing we do while we are here is go to Regina's at the Cape Cod Mall.
