Eden is a nice quaint restaurant, great for date nights with the soft lighting. I had the antelope steak, which is uncommon. I had it a little under medium well. You should only get this dish as recommended because the meat gets chewy the more it's cooked more so than beef or bison. There were hardly any sides with this. Id anticipate a bit more for potatoes or something to complement. The short rib dish is delicious, tender with a tasty gravy and is a hearty portions meal with polenta and vegetables. I'm surprised this restaurant is rated so lowly. We had a lovely experience both service-wise and food-wise. The ambiance is completely romantic with perfect lighting and comfy booths and a somewhat quiet sound level. We had the stuffed zucchini and the "Japanese" pork chop: Both were delicious and I couldn't tell that the vegetarian zucchini used an alternative meat source. This was our first restaurant we tried on our first trip to Rehoboth, and we made an excellent choice! Set back on a quieter Baltimore Ave, this is an adorable building in a row of adorable houses turned shops and restaurants. Inside, the ambiance is magical. There is a light blue gauze draped from the ceiling, mixed with fairy lights, and with a gorgeous low lit chandelier in the middle of the downstairs. Upstairs you can sit inside or along the balcony, which is where we sat and watched the sky turn from blue to orange to pink to purple throughout dinner! To start, we ordered two cocktails: Cool as a Cucumber and a Cherry Old Fashioned. Both were great and generous pours, they lasted us until we got our main dishes. We also ordered the charcuterie and added meat, and it was hands down the best charcuterie board we've ever had. It was so filling, I was worried about eating dinner. I picked the Humboldt Fog, the Double Cream Brie, and the P'Tit Basque cheeses and loved them all. We ordered a half bottle of the Chablis and it was the perfect complement to our meal. My entree was the Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope Tenderloin that came with a blueberry glaze. The chef recommended medium rare, of course, and though I felt it came out very rare, it was absolutely delicious. My fiancée ordered the Furikake Crusted Rockfish with vermicelli noodles and loved how flavorful but light the sauce and dish was. The atmosphere is classy, romantic, and private. The servers are attentive, but not solicitous. The cocktails were good except that the cherry old fashioned just tasted like bourbon over ice. The food is definitely about 20% more expensive than in should be, but you are enjoying fine dining at a beach resort town. I saw that there were vegan and vegetarian options here in Yelp, but only saw one main and one flatbread that were vegetarian. Maybe there was a secret menu I should have asked for. We started with a burrata salad. It had the usual mix of mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, onions, and a nice vinaigrette. Then they added cucamelon, which put their own twist on this classic combination. One entrée was pan roasted chicken breast. It was perfectly cooked and moist. But what really stood out was a side of bucatini pasta, red pepper, in a charred lemon,parmesan vinaigrette. I've been to Eden many years ago and was glad that it was still around. It's located just a block from the hustle and bustle of Rehobeths Main Street. Sometimes on weekends parking can be a pain but this time I didn't have any problems. Eden is a cute little restaurant but it was way darker than I remembered. There were curtains hung everywhere with an attempt to be mystical. Just didn't look very updated from the last time I dropped in. The food was pretty good though! I started with the Chili Shrimp appetizer which was the perfect amount of spicy. It was served with rice and honestly was big enough to be a main dish. The Tilefish was very different but was cooked well. The steak was a decent size and dessert was simple yet delicious. I came here with friends on the Saturday before Labor Day, and the food was fine and unremarkable. The drinks were strong. My main complaint is that we thought our server was rude. My group of five came at around 530pm for dinner. By the time we left there were a few other groups seated in the small room on the second floor. We came in with some of us drunk already from happy hour. We were loud, but we honestly didn't think we were disruptively loud. In the middle of our meal, our server, Roman, essentially scolded us because he couldn't hear himself talk. I'm not saying we're blameless, but this shocked us. When I've been to much nicer restaurants and a group was loud, the server would usually whisper to them something like, "We're glad you're enjoying yourselves, but please keep the volume down for our other guests." Not only did we think he was overreacting, but the brusque, public call out felt either rude or lazy; I don't know which is worse. read more

In town for the weekend and met two other couples there for dinner. The place is perfect for that- nice room, great noise level, good service, and the drinks are an A+! We had a variety of items. For the starters, the wedge salad was a hit but too big for one person. Two wedges on each plate. Would make a better share. The panzanella salad was a good size for one and the two that did order it were part of the clean plate club. Two of us had the ceviche and it was mild at best. Could use a last minute squeeze of lime for freshness and maybe some heat by way of peppers. Entrees were a hit. The antelope (yes they have antelope) was absolutely loved by me and a little spicy for another of use. The spice is from the peri peri sauce and they nailed it in my opinion. Beach town bliss. This was quite the weekend in Dewey. The whole weekend I thought I had liver failure. Drinking was hell. Pooping solid? What's that? My liver had become fatty. I was bedridden. I would have nightmarish, fevered dreams and wake up in a cold sweat. And those were just my afternoon naps. Somehow I had embodied the grandpa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, just laying there for what seemed like eternity. But each night, I somehow found the strength to arise and punish my liver some more. I was designated the official restaurant picker on this particular Saturday night. Why? Because I was the only one sober enough to. The rest of the squad had been day drinking since 10 AM. I could still make out written type and words on printed booklets found strewn across our hotel room floor. Having recently rewatched The Imitation Game, I felt like Alan Turing, able to decipher this enigmatic code we call the English language and able to translate it to my starving, unsatiated, crapulent compatriots. Eden immediately stuck out to me, because their ad exuded class. No campy font. Not like Arial or even Cambria. And god forbid Comic Sans. I've seen so many local restaurants using Comic Sans in their ads. That's the biggest fashion faux pas you can make when it comes to advertising your restaurant. An unforgivable style mistake. Second worst font? You guessed it - Times New Roman. Remember when that was the default for like, every document in the 90s? We should all be grateful Calibri came along. The meal started modestly with an order of clams casino. Honestly, one of my all-time favorite appetizers since I discovered them a little over 10 years ago. Eden's rendition was perfectly fine as is, but be sure to utilize the accompanying lemon slice and splash each clam with lemony zest. It absolutely brightens the flavor. If you want a little something to nibble on without ruining your appetite, the three cheese board is going to hit the spot. You get a nice mix of cheeses from near and far, such as the Vermont based Jasper Farms Cave Aged Cheddar, California based Humboldt Fog goat cheese, and P'tit Basque, made with pasteurized sheep's milk and aged 70 days. Each cheese has its own unique flavor and texture profile that can be combined with the various included accoutrements such as truffled honey, housemade jam, and dried fruits and nuts. Really loved my scallops. Big ol' sea scallops, super tender and packed full of flavor, all served atop a bed of creamy spring pea risotto. Make sure you get a bit of everything in each bite, and your taste buds will be very pleased. For the former meat eaters who have since transitioned into a vegetarian lifestyle, you can't go wrong with the paella, which incorporates Beyond sausage. It looks and smells like the real deal and may be close enough to the real thing to fool your meat-starved pleasure center. Oh, and the best part is? Many of the other ingredients in this dish - like the tomatoes and bell pepper - are locally sourced from nearby Fifer Farm in Camden-Wyoming. Finally, if you truly want to indulge, the Veal Osso Buco awaits. A generous portion of veal shank, cross-cut through the bone, braised with vegetables in wine and broth. Within the bone lies the defining characteristic of this dish - rich and creamy bone marrow. Eden infuses some Asian flair as well, serving this alongside jasmine rice, baby bok choy, drizzled with Korean BBQ sauce. It should be noted that in addition to the great food, Eden also serves up thirst-quenching cocktails perfect after a hot day on the beach. One such cocktail is The Ruby, consisting of ruby red infused vodka, grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, and Grand Marnier. To top it off, the staff was superb and exceedingly accommodating. Attentiveness paired with friendliness is certainly the culture here. They happily took pictures of our group at our request and stayed on top of everything from beginning to end. The food is delicious and the wait staff is very pleasant, but the hostess argued with me about what she had told me about the wait after waiting for 15 minutes past our reservation time. I understand it's the summer season and the staff can't control people lingering after dinner, but she bordered on being rude. Have to say we've been here in "the season", and we always found it quite good. Went the other day with some friends for their special Wednesday night dinner. I have to say how good it was from the waitstaff to the food; they were very helpful and had patience with Mom. Started with cocktails which was very good, I had a Southern Old Fashioned (tasty), our server suggested it and it was on point, others all enjoyed theirs as well. Most of us took the pre fixe menu for $45 each. I started with the clams in curry very tasty dish. Others had a fried potato skins or a Caprese salad crostini, there were no complaints. Then ordered a bottle of Far Niente Post & Beam 2021, which on Wednesday's they have 1/2 price bottles of wine...Good Deal..Entrees arrived grilled skirt steak ( I had very good), others had crab stuffed shrimp, chicken & andouille pasta also very good, only comes was someone had the filet off of the register menu and they felt it wasn't up to par compared to other filets he had. Only disappointment was the risotto, which was more like rice with peas and carrots. They were kind to split the entrees so we each had our own half portion. My friend and I made a reservation for dinner the night before. We've always walked by this place but never ate here before. Inside the place was decorated super romantic with the drapery (love the vibes already!). My friend and I decided to order some martinis before our entrees. I got tbe forbidden fruit and she got the apple one. Both drinks were delicious alittle pricey but worth it. For dinner I had the halibut while my friend had the Fifers veggie paella. As you can tell from my original review, I have been coming here for years. Rehoboth has changed a lot over that time period and Eden has pretty much remained the same. In this case, I believe that is a downside and hence the loss of a star for me. Eden's Grilled Caesar did not seem to have the same level of quality it had in the past. The Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope Tenderloin was good but not great. In my opinion, it is time to bump up the dishes to make them move along with the way Rehoboth seems to have been upgraded over the years. I would love to see Eden continue to place at the top of what is considered fine dining for the area, but at the moment it is starting to feel more tired than "bold". read more

Just finished having dinner at Eden and I was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our dinner! The restaurant itself is beautiful and in a charming part of town. Drinks were by far the best drinks I've had in Rehoboth (Thanksgiving weekend here has become an annual trip for us for the last 4 years). Appetizers and entrees came out quickly and were nothing short of delicious (of course we tasted each other's dishes)! Finally went last night and had the best experience. Our server Dustin was so helpful and super knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks were great and food even better. Ambiance is awesome, loved the music. Started with the curried shrimp (needed a little salt, but flavors were great), and the pork belly. It was incredible. We split the grilled Caesar (which they actually split for us which was very nice), it could have used a little more dressing but was delicious. I had the tilefish special which was AMAZING. My boyfriend had the filet which he said wasn't the best, but still enjoyed. We finished with the chocolate torte, also delicious. Incredibly rude service. I got attitude when I asked if we could sit on the first floor because my 85 year old mother in law was with us. They actually went up to her and asked her if she physically could walk in a very condescending tone. When asked if we could have a round table they laughed at me. The server was so slow. For instance, we ordered the Ahi Tuna and they served it with rice, a pile of pickled ginger, seaweed salad, and wasabi. We also got the halibut which rested on top of a some rice noodles soaked in watered down teriyaki sauce and half of a boiled bok choy. Our party of four ate at Eden on a Saturday night. The waiter was very pleasant. We ordered some cocktails, wine, and a cheese board. The cheese board arrived promptly, but the wines were delayed. Overall, decent selection of cheeses for a reasonable price. We split the warm Brussel sprout salad, which was seasonally confusing and definitely needed some acid. For dinner, we ordered the short rib over risotto, the ahi tuna, and chicken. The risotto was definitely undercooked and subsequently took away from the short rib. The tuna was perfectly cooked and the chicken was just okay. For dessert, we order sorbet and the cookie skillet which were both delicious. All in all, it was decent meal. In the future, I would stick to their bar and appetizers over the entrees. read more

I've been to Eden several times over the years. In the past, I've loved it. This time, not so much. I realize it's a tourist town, so the restaurants don't treat customers the way they would if more were locals. But they DO get enough repeat business that you would think their policies would be somewhere in the middle. This time, the menu seemed super heavy without a simple chicken dish or a simple fish. I even tried to get a salad with a simple protein addition, and no dice. Most of the dishes (we always peer around at what others get - ok, a little weird perhaps) to me seemed overpriced. I understand real chefs design their dishes just so, but then you have to have a menu that caters broadly enough (even if just a few options). The indoor decor of course is beautiful (especially for a fall or winter indoor meal), but this time, I will not be craving it next time I go back to Rehoboth. read more
