REI moved to a new location! Yay! Much larger store. A lot of space unlike their last location. Loved the service there. People have been great with helped. Stopped for picking up a new HOKA ONE. Found the right one after trying out a handful of them. They have at least 5-6 counters. the line was as usual long - moving fast though. Very happy to see they have decided to expand. Looking forward to visiting this store in future!

It was snowing lightly when I arrived at approximately opening time today, Tuesday 29 November 2022, and the foot paths had been salted to help make it less slick. Entering the REI store, I started looking around to see if I could find the area with the beanies. I had checked online to make sure they had beanies in stock in-store and they did, so they would be there somewhere. I noticed the hanging sign by the stairs saying clothing upstairs so I started up the stairs. On the landing I made sure to scan the ground level and I spotted the beanies in a corner on ground level. I checked upstairs first and when I found no beanies up there, returned to ground level and perused the selection. They had a number of brands and knits with different fabric thicknesses. I liked two and pulled them down to check them out. An orange one was a few inches longer than the other, good for people with long hair if they want to put their hair in the beanie. I was buying the beanie as a Christmas gift for my aunt who maintains her hair at maybe a few inches of length. So the obvious winner was the smaller chartreuse green one, less empty space at the end of the beanie when on. Payment was straightforward, I used my co-op points ($21.98) and the final total was $22.16, so the beanie cost me $0.18 out-of-pocket. I paid with a one dollar bill and later realized I had exact change in the car, oh well. The workers were friendly and diligent.

This rei sucks. If you want a good experience go to Seattle. Otherwise expect crappy customer service.

I went in a couple days ago to look into getting some waterproof shoes for running my dog in agility during the winter months.

Plan accordingly. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ Outdoor adventures keeps the guided groups small (maximum 12 people). I appreciate the small groups since this was my first time kayaking. Three types of kayaks are available: single, double or triple occupancy. Discover is an accepted form of payment. A Discover Pass is required to park at Spencer Spit. If you do not have a pass, a $10 day pass can be purchased with cash or check. There were several rangers checking passes on our visit so be sure to have a pass visibly displayed to avoid being ticketed. WHAT TO BRING - Signed Release of Liability - Bathing suit or non-cotton under layers preferred - A synthetic shirt (capilene, polypro, Under Armor, etc) - Shorts or pants made of a synthetic material (may get wet/damp) - Lightweight fleece jacket or windbreaker/rain jacket to provide warmth - Water shoes or sandals that strap on (or shoes that can get wet) - Sun hat and/or sunglasses - Sunscreen and chapstick - Water bottle - Optional; Camera, Plastic bag for wet items and change of clothing - If you have a gift certificate or prepaid voucher (such as Groupon) please bring a printed copy with you! Dorito Dan was our guide for the day. Dan was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The first hour is dedicated to introductions, procedures and safety. Be sure to use the restroom before departing. Once on the water, there is no turning back. Kayaking is great for teamwork and communication. Both are required to avoid frustration. I recommend wearing weight-lifting/bicycle gloves in order to prevent blisters. Each person in our group started getting blisters towards the end of the tour. During our 3 mile kayaking trip, we spotted starfish, seals and majestic bald eagles. Thank you Outdoor Adventures for providing a magnificent day of play while surrounded by gorgeous Mother Nature. We all plan to return in the near future for another go-around.

First, looking for a particular size, color and style of Nike sweat suit as a gift, the store associate was very understanding and helpful. The hoodie was inn stock, but the pants only at another store. It was pretty far away, Christmas/nighttime/rush hour/weather...did NOT want to do that! No worries, he logged on, tap tap, it will be here tomorrow.....but the sale will be over. Bummer, no worries, It was ordered and paid for at the sale price. The next morning I received a text. My order was ready. In and out in less than a real minute. Polite, friendly and professional. Second, one of my kids has a foot problem and needed special features in her shoes. I spoke with the associate who A). Was sensitive to her need, she is very shy, and he spoke gently and kindly. B). Was very knowledgable about which shoes did and did not have those features. He found several styles in her size and we walked out very happy. C). I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, some small assortment of tops and bottoms that were interchangeable, had pockets (why is that so hard to find sometimes?!?), in a certain size. Here we go, he showed me the mix and match options including some BOGO options. Again, excellent service, friendly, polite and knowledgeable. CHAMPS has become our family's go-to for sportswear and shoes.
