Downloaded the app just to rate this place!!! I just moved from California and while getting lost looking for coffee, I came across this place!!! It's a cute relaxing little place where the staff and customers were a delight! Everyone was chatting together and they seem to really care about the food they serve (even giving me options to swap my wrap for a sandwhich with their fresh new bread!!!) I got myself food to go today (which was delicous), but I'll def bring my family next time!!! read more

I had a bad first experience at this place. I live around the corner and figured I give it another chance. I first walk and and an apparent regular was talking very loud across the entire breakfast bar. Standing right next to him I ask if 2 of the empty seats next to him were open. Someone else replies yes (he is still talking). As I go to pull out the seat for my other that's when he stops and and needs to inform us Someone is there. It was disappointing that the place allows for such loud people for others enjoyment. We sit in the back area. The waitress gets my drink wrong. Smallest glasses and my cup sat empty for 10 minutes. She was too busy doing her side work and talking to people at the breakfast bar. During our visit we had to be very repetitive on items we ask. We felt very ignored and if you don't like burnt bacon or toast, let them know. Also every time they brought water their were small items floating in it. In closing, there are other places with better service in the area. Twice this has happened. I won't be back. read more

I just got out from having brunch with my mother and sister and let me say, absolutely adore this place. The owner is the nicest man who genuinely cares about his business, the food HE cooks, and his guests' day and time there. Our server was a doll and I loved the ambiance of the whole restaurant. I came here with a big group and it took over an hour to recieve all of the food. I ordered pancakes and they were very good, however I also ordered extra powdered sugar and it did not come. Understandably though, because of the group of people I'm with. Most of the people I'm with seem to love their food (those who have it!). Came here for the first time last week. I had one question as soon as the appetizers arrived....why had I not tried this place sooner! We were a group of twelve and a few apps were ordered for sharing...the clams casino, stuffed mushrooms, blackened shrimp, all of them absolutely scrumptious! Salad (fresh and crisp)or soup was offered with the entree and the group enjoyed a mix of both. Bread was served with the salad and that's probably the only thing lacking flavor/freshness...but please don't base a fantastic meal on the bread. For my main course I ordered the chicken & shrimp piccata which was perfectly seasoned. My husband had the pork oso bucco which was also ordered by a few others at the table and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Seafood Paella, seafood casserole and chicken parmigiana were among the other dishes at our table and there was not a speck of food left on anyone's plate!...please don't think that portions are small....in fact it's quite the opposite! Everyone just couldn't stop enjoying the delicious food! Oh, and of course we had to try a couple desserts....the chocolate cake is a must! Just attended a private mercy meal this past week at this cafe. The owners were so kind, attenarive, and hard working. The food was amazing! They had fish, green beans, salad, coffee and tea. The food was so good. The rice had flavor, the beans were cOoked the Greek style, and fish had just the right amount of bread crumbs and was not overly cooked with butter. We look forward to stoping by here the next time wee are in town -as the owners make you feel like you are a part of the family. Highly recommend this cozy establishment. read more

We hosted for NYE dinner and ordered catering service through Cafe Christo's. Everyone was beyond satisfied with what was orders - clams casino, calamari, Spinach Pie, Mediterranean Chicken, baked stuffed scrod and pasta! I've been working there three years and not one person has sent their food back. Christo is an excellent chef I call him the sauce king cuz he is very good at what he does. Trust me you will enjoy it there it is so cozy and comfortable. Right now with this epidemic we're going through he's doing amazing takeout orders Tuesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch and Thursday night and Friday nights for dinners. I used to go to this place when it was Sal's Bakery. In the last year the service and food became very inconsistent so did not frequent much. I walked in as I was in the neighborhood and didn't even notice the name on the storefront had changed. It is now Cafe Cristo, which apparently originated in Agawam. The new decor is warm and lovely, and there is plenty of seating comfortably set so no one is on top of each other. I was disappointed to see that there was no bakery case, however, the menu quickly took me out of my funk. This place is open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch, and the food is beyond awesome. It is so fresh and clearly made to order. I actually want to try everything on the menu as they offer an extensive breakfast and lunch menu with all the classics and some new combos. I'm working on the "no carb" plan at the moment, so I stopped in with a friend this morning for an early breakfast. We both ordered the veggie omelet and it was SO AWESOME. The veggies are clearly cut to order and were as fresh as they get. I have no idea how they made it so delicious, but I'm going to go so far as to say that it was the best omelet I've ever had. I can't wait to try to other food selections. This is my new go-to breakfast lunch spot. It's amazing. Oh, and the prices are really low. However, given the times we are in I was appalled to see that the waitress and owner did not have on masks. Breakfast was mediocre. The eggs didn't seem fresh and there was too much nutmeg and other spices on the French toast. The prices are good but lacks quality. read more

I had really bad service. The waitress brought us coffee, and when I asked for Splenda she still hadn't given me any silverware so I had to ask for a spoon to stir my coffee with, and she never asked us if we wanted refills. Then we had this whole confusing discussion about corned beef, but when my eggs Benedict finally arrived, it had big thick slices of ham, which just wasn't what I ordered or wanted. She brought me a side of corned beef after I flagged her down, normally I would have let them remake the whole thing, but everything took so abnormally long that I just wanted to leave at that time. Four of us ate here recently at night - they are open a few nights a week now, but check with them before going, just to be sure. Currently, it's a BYOB spot - they don't have a liquor license. We had a few appetizers. The blackened scallops were so good we had 2 orders of them. A french onion soup was just fair according to that diner. For entrees, there was a blackened mahi fish special that night that was enjoyed - it came with rice and baby asparagus. The chicken parm entree was also greatly relished. The shrimp fra diavIo special was good but needed to be spicier. I can't remember the 4th entree that was ordered - it was also a special with an unusual name. A small side salad or soup was included with the entrees. We didn't sample desserts because we were stuffed. Service was very good and they were quite friendly. It's relatively plain inside, but very clean. There are 2 sides to the floor plan - one side has viewing of the kitchen through a long window. There is free parking on the street as well as in a lot adjacent to the building. read more

Excellent service and really good food. My mom and I went for lunch on a Friday and they let us sit at one of the bigger tables and hang out for as long as we wanted. I had an egg and cheese sandwich that was really good. The coffee is from one of my favorite local roasters, as well, and he refilled it as soon as it got down to half gone. My mom had soup and a turkey sandwich which had so much turkey on it she could only eat half (but was happy to take the other half home for later). Only negatives: My home fries tasted pretty strongly like bacon (not great for a vegetarian). Christo is extremely friendly and personable. In addition have rented out half the restaurant to have catered breakfast and all the food has been amazing. My family and I went here last night for dinner. There were 6 of us and we made a reservation and not a nice table by the window. There were a few other tables of people in the restaurant but they were really great to spread us out. It is a very small space but it didn't feel like we were eating on top of anyone! It's byob so we brought a cooler with beers. The server was a nice young man who talked to us quite a bit. He told us the specials, and also talked to us about beer and the restaurant. For some, he may have been too talkative but he read our table right! He was very attentive, refilling our water glasses before they were empty, giving us time and space to enjoy our food and drinks, not rushing us out of the restaurant, but at the same time making sure our wants and needs were always met. Great service! The atmosphere was nothing spectacular, but it was clean. The presentation of the food was good and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered blackened shrimp and a special ravioli for appetizers. I don't eat shrimp but those who did said it was delicious. It came with a sauce (that were weren't sure what it was, and didn't ask) that was good. The ravioli was to die for. Such great flavor and the alfredo-type of sauce it was in was really delicious. I almost wanted to order one all for myself for my meal! The bread was nothing special, just an average (maybe slightly below average) Italian type or bread. The salads were fresh and delicious! They came with mixed greens and romaine, tomato wedges, cucumbers, and green peppers (and the dressing of our choice). For meals, I got the chicken franchaise which was very tasty. It was thin chicken breast over a spaghetti. Two others ordered chicken parm and said it was good- the chicken was a little thicker than mine and the sauce was very sweet (I didn't care for it very much but my husband did). We also got an eggplant rollitini and pasta with veggies and gorgonzola sauce- I didn't try either of these but my sisters enjoyed them. The WORST, and I'm not a hard grader. The food, the service, the atmosphere were all terrible in that order. Salsa from a jar, oatmeal from an instant pack, frozen fruit in the fruit bowl, out of yogurt and tasteless eggs and soggy hash browns. All served in a sad dark space by waitresses who weren't sure about the food they served. Oh, and the prices weren't cheap. Save your time, money and stomach and go somewhere else other than this worse than generic hole. read more

I frequently drive by but never even noticed this place. The inside is nice and definitely seems bigger than some other breakfast spots in the area. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. The person who took our order was not very friendly. Not unfriendly exactly but we wondered if we were bothering her somehow. Anyhow, we ordered our food which was an omelet and 2 pancake "meals" that were served with home fries and a meat (bacon in our case). By the time our food arrived, our coffees were close to empty which didn't get noticed nor were we asked. Not a big deal but it was breakfast time and they were not super busy. It took most of our meal to get the attention of the server to get some more coffee which we got with a seeming annoyance that we would want a 2nd cup. Not more than a few words were spoken by her. My omelet was pretty good however the other 2 pancake orders were not good at all.. The pancakes were rubbery and the potatoes for the home fries were not cooked through. The bacon was so crispy that it cracked as soon as you touch it. When we were done eating, it took a while to get the check. She dropped it at the table without saying a word and walked away. Our order was just about $29 and we put $35 cash in the check holder.. We weren't looking for change really (though I would have only left a dollar or 2 for the quality of service) bit the server came and picked up the check and walked away.. Again, not a word and while we spent the next 5 min finishing our recently poured coffee refill, it was clear that the server wasn't going to ask if any change was needed. An acknowledgement at least would have been great. We left and all agreed that we would not be returning here for breakfast or any other meal for that matter.. The smallest amount of effort on their part could have made this a more tolerable experience. Would actually only give 1.5 stars if I could and the only reason it's not a 1 star is because the omelet was pretty good. read more

When we got our food, the orders where wrong but we had to eat it anyway since we were late to where we were going already. I gave it two stars instead of one because the food (even tho it was the wrong order) was very good and they were nice guys that run the joint. I came with my swim team, and we were seated very quickly for a large group. The food came out after an hour, which is to be expected for the number of people we had. Our waiter did a very good job accommodating out group. I got the pancakes, which were very good! The potatoes are incredible, and the omlets are very good as well! Had the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire 51 years. Gave 2 stars only because if the food was brought out hot it would have been good. Took me and my wife 1 and a half hours for breakfast, that's right, breakfast food. While there,one family left complaining about service and another table threw down money for the juice and coffee they had and walked out. A couple that came in after us was eating way before we got our food. The waiter informed us that the cook was all alone, but he had time to go across the street to buy cigarettes at the store. We thought we had found a good breakfast place to go to but we're never going there again unless we hear they've gotten better at CUSTOMER SERVICE. Word of mouth can be your best advertising, but it can be your worst. Its all about the customer, make your customers happy and they'll return. Don't go here. read more
