food: A+ waitresses: A+…read morebeing seated and being acknowledged by the front staff: F. i hate saying this because ive grown up going to Reids. i love it and always will. my friend and i came in today and put my name in for reservations. we wait outside and another patron kindly came up to us to let us know that people standing inside the restaurant were being seated first. so we go and wait inside. no one said anything to us. Especially the older lady with orange hair, who was seating the people who walked right in front of us. she had short orange hair and an unwelcoming demeanor. we were not impressed with her customer service at all. she only acknowledged the people she knew and ignored us for a good 45 minutes. we literally stood there for 45 minutes curious as to why she wouldnt even look at us. a simple "hello well be right with you" or something along the lines of that would have been suffice. even after finally being seated, i never recieved a text from the automated waiting list saying they were ready for my party. im discouraged about the last few times ive gone here. only because of the service and inaccurate wait times. this is not the first time this has happened unfortunately.

Everything was clean and tidy even though it was on the tail end of breakfast service. There were several other people in the place too. Service was welcoming and personable. Originally I was going to order some hash (excellent in the past) but opted for the biscuits and gravy special. Definitely a good move. As I waited for my food I was able to watch the kitchen do their thing. Good, lively crew. Any banter was professional and friendly. Also did a great job on the flat top. The portion size for the meal was great and the meal was delicious. The biscuits had some good flakiness and were not soggy at all. The creamy gravy had plenty of chunky sausage bites and had ample black pepper to tame the richness. The home fries were also a hit. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The seasoning was also very good. The potatoes had a great paprika hint that lended just enough spice to cut through the richness of the gravy even more. For eggs, I chose over easy. They were cooked perfectly. Yokes were perfect and they had some crispiness on the edges that provided good textural contrast. The place was clean. I didn't have an opportunity to use the rest room but it had always been clean in the past. Overall, this was a great visit. For the delicious food and friendly staff I will definitely be back!
