Rejoice Restaurant & Bar in Broward County is a true gem for authentic Nigerian and West African flavors. From jollof rice and egusi to fufu and okra soup, every dish is bold, fresh, and generously portioned. The atmosphere is cozy with afrobeat vibes, and you can enjoy it dining in, outdoors, or taking it to go. Service is friendly, though sometimes a bit slow, but the food more than makes up for it. A great spot I keep coming back to--perfect whether you're eating in or carrying out. Rejoice Restaurant & Bar in Broward County is a true gem for authentic Nigerian and West African flavors. Start this by saying I'm from Mexico and my Husband is from Venezuela so this was a completely new flavor to us but we'd been craving to try Egusi soup and finally found this place to have it and it did not disappoint! We had Egusi Chicken and Jollof rice with beef plantain both so delicious and you could taste the homemade flavor. Wow!

In awe of this place. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was a good vibe.

I was in the area and hungry. I was recommended to try out this restaurant and let's just say everything was so good. I got there just as they opened so I was the only on there. Ordering was easy as I had Nigerian for before and I had an idea of what I wanted to eat. The young lady at the front was helpful in my ordering process. I ordered egusi, side of jollof rice, stewed goat and pounded yam. The decor of the restaurant is modern and aesthetically pleasing. Clean and upbeat. I sat on the couch and waited for my order to be ready then took it to go. I ate as soon as I got home and the flavors was just right. A little spicy but I can take the heat. The goat was a bit tough and I would recommend them cooking it longer so it's tender. The portions are great. I would highly recommend trying them out for a change of your usual.

I came here with my boyfriend for the first time on Saturday. I am originally from MA and have been craving Nigerian food for a while. They have really good Nigerian restaurants in Boston so I was hoping to find a really good one in South Florida too. What I really wanted was some good fufu and Stew. We tried the Egusi stew and pounded yams (fufu). It was very flavorful and tasty! We ordered it with no meat but kept the red sauce. My boyfriend really loved the red sauce and ordered another bowl of it separately to dip his fufu in. We also ordered the Ogbono stew (made with mango seeds). It is extremely nutrient dense but neither of us enjoyed the flavor. I would absolutely go back for the egusi stew! It was the best part. Also, it was very quiet on the Saturday afternoon when we went. The restaurant was spacious, quick customer service, nice African art, and very clean.

Not our first time having Nigerian food. But this place by far the best here in South Florida. I drove about 45 minutes to a hour to get my food. It was hot, fresh, tasty and more. Good prices and good quality of food. Yes I will be back and will definitely recommend it.

Jollof rice with goat meat and plantains; Egusi soup and fufu

Wanted to try some African cuisine today with family so we found Rejoice. We ordered the Jollof rice with goat meat, plantains and red sauce. We also ordered fufu with Egusi soup... The food is amazing! The goat meat is tender! The. Jollof is very tasty and cooked perfectly. Wow, read sauce is spicy!!! I would definitely order this meal again and again..

Went with a group of friends early Saturday afternoon shortly after opening. They weren't ready yet to take our orders so we waited as we skimmed through the menu. There is a QR code to scan on your phone that takes you to their online menu. We ended up getting the fried rice, chicken, and plantain/Jollof rice, chicken and plantain/Egushi fufu fish. I liked the jollof rice the most - everything else was just ok. The serving sizes are large, I would order in advance. It was cool to try something new.

They have a lot of interesting brands of meats, pasta, sauce and more. The service at the register was great. The lady really took care bagging my groceries. Did I mention they have some tasty gelato from Italy? They have food and wine events sometimes. I went to one of those long ago at tjis location. Those are worth the money you spend. I am going to make an effort to stop here when I am nearby.

But the real star here is the bakery -- it's absolutely out of this world. My personal favorite is the chocolate rum ball -- rich, moist, and perfectly balanced. The mini chocolate cannoli are incredible, with creamy filling and a crisp shell. The cannoli cookie is also delicious and unique. We took some pastries home, and even after being left overnight in the refrigerator, they were still fresh and tasted amazing the next day. We heard they also have another location in Pembroke Pines, which we're excited to try next. If it's anything like the Sunrise store, we know it'll be fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian pastries and market goodies!

I would like to express my concern regarding the quality of the products in the store, as I believe…read moreit has declined significantly compared to previous years. For example, I purchased bread on Wednesday, and by Saturday it was already showing signs of spoilage. The same issue occurs with vegetables and other fresh products, which have a very limited shelf life and, in many cases, do not last even a week under proper storage conditions. In addition, when customers need to make an exchange or return, the customer service experience is not always positive. There is one manager in particular who often comes across as unfriendly, making customers feel uncomfortable through their gestures and body language. I also noticed that salmon was placed on sale even though it was only a couple of days away from its expiration date. This raises concerns that expiration dates are not being properly monitored or reviewed. Many of us shop at Trader Joe's because of the trust and reputation the company has built for offering fresh, high-quality products. However, the current situation is concerning, as customers expect the food they purchase to be in optimal condition for consumption. I believe it is necessary to review quality control procedures and product preservation practices, as the overall shopping experience has noticeably declined.
