A few weeks ago I did the lash lift for my vacation to southeast Asia. I am so happy that I did it, it turned out great. I have blonde eyelashes so it was so nice to not have to wear mascara every day with the humidity. You can still wear mascara if you want still to and they look false because of the lift. While I love the look of permed lashes, my first experience was with a seedy shop that left my eyes burning for a few days. I was a little nervous coming to Layla for a lash lift for this reason, but I'm really glad I did. She's very down to earth and a joy to talk to, but also knows when to just let you relax and take a nap. I've ever met an aesthetician as attentive and caring as Layla. She noticed I had eczema and offered this really candle moisturizer that actually made my skin really soft. So I have been getting lash extensions on and off for over a decade. Sometimes I would get them for a special occasion and that's it. However, for the past 4-5 years I like to get them and maintain them for a long while just bc it's such a nice luxury and a major time saver. Let me tell you, finding a good lash artist is not easy. Unfortunately, I have been to a lot of not so good ones. A lot of the time, I need a fill within 2 weeks- there will be noticeable bald looking patches or the lashes will clump together or the lashes will twist and turn. The worst is when the lashes don't lay correctly immediately after getting them done or the lashes look thick and shiny or you can feel the scratchy glue... when you have been to many many lash artists over the years you start to learn you get what you pay for and a good set does take some time. I have only been to one other lash artist where my lashes still look amazing 3 weeks later. I am beyond thrilled. Layla is so professional and experienced. I've never had such a thorough consultation... I also never have had anyone give me exactly what I asked for either! I've waited two days to write my review to write about the full first wash on my lashes and to see how they lasted. AMAZING and honestly better now than the day I got them done haha! They are soft and since I had straight LONG lashes, my lashes look like they have mascara on. I purchased the keratin clear serum here as well to prolong my lashes and they look stunning and do not feel weighed down. Layla was the sweetest and talked me though everything. This review is long over due. It will be over a little two months since I got my keratin lash lift and tint with Layla. I wanted to get my lashes done for a upcoming wedding I was attending. This was my first time getting a lash lift and I will definitely have it done again. Layla was able to work with me to find a time that worked with my work schedule which is a huge plus for me as I didn't have to take time off work to get my lashes done. She was really thorough with her instructions before appointment, during the lash service, and instruction for lash care after the appointment. I really appreciated her letting me know what she was going to be doing, explaining what she was going to do next and what it or I might feel each step of the way. Layla is a really sweet women who knows what she's doing. I loved the way my lashes turned out. They honesty still look really good now after two months. I've always wanted to try getting my lashes lifted but was always worried it would turn out poorly or my lashes would fall out. I wanted to go to a person who seemed like they really knew what they were doing. Layla had really great reviews so I texted her to make an appointment. She texted me back promptly and was able to get me in at a time that was convenient for me. The day of, parking was easy and the location was easy to find. While prepping for the lift, Layla did a great job of answering all my questions and was very patient. She was extremely pleasant to talk to during the approximately 1.5 hour session. She was really attentive and even gave me a hand massage while the keratin lift was setting. When the lashes came out, they looked lifted...but a bit piecey and stuck together. I was slightly worried about that but after I washed my lashes after the 48 hour wait period, they looked amazing!
