I found Above Lash Beauty and Maggie via Groupon. I have considered getting lash extensions for a while but wasn't sure if it was for me. Her groupon deal is 80 lashes total for about $37, which I felt was a great price to try out extensions and see if they are for me. I loved how my lashes looked after that trial set, and after 2 weeks, I got a full set. I have been returning to get fills from her for the past month and a half. Maggie is very friendly, calming, and knowledgable. She is able to answer and questions I have and her work is so fast, gentle, and beautiful! I have gotten many compliments on my lashes, and friends have said they look so natural, which is exactly what I wanted! Her studio is always clean and so relaxing with the lo-fi music in the background. Like others have mentioned, it always smells so nice there! Once again, Maggie has knocked it out of the park!! I asked for a fuller set this time since I'm going to an event at the end of this week and it's absolutely stunning! She perfectly framed my eyes, even with a fuller set. Not only does it feel lightweight, it's full without looking overly heavy. Came here twice and am happy both times. The new set and 1 month refill was beautiful. The lashes came out even and just the way I wanted them. Maggie is a sweet person and gives a comfortable feeling. She did a wonderful job. I didn't feel rushed, even though I was the last client of the day when I visited for the first time. So so so happy with my lashes from Above Lash Beauty! I found Maggie on Yelp and after seeing some great reviews, I decided to book an appointment. Booking was easy and fast through the app! When I first arrived to the studio (which was very clean and organized!) Maggie took her time to walk me through her options and did a mini consultation about the type of lashes I was looking for. She truly went above and beyond in the styling of the lashes and I'm so happy with how they turned out! I found Maggie through Yelp and I'm so glad I did! After parting ways with my trusted lash lady, I've been on a hunt for a new lash artist that's affordable and good quality. I've tried out different artists in Pasadena but I never felt fully satisfied. So glad I tried out Maggie - she's super sweet! Her studio is clean and she offered me a blanket so I was nice and cozy during my appointment. She also had to remove leftover lashes I had from another artist and let me tell you - it felt so therapeutic while she cleaned my lashes! I love how gentle Maggie is. She also took the time to show me my real lashes and explaining the areas that are sparse and such. Then helped me choose the right length of lashes for what I wanted to achieve. Results were great!! This is my fourth time I think! I just got a new set. Super happy with the results every time! Very good quality and care. Maggie always checks in every set or fill just to make sure you're getting what you want. She's very knowledgeable and talented. Also it's very comfortable I fell asleep this time. Upon entering the establishment, there was a pleasant ambiance. However, the overall experience was regrettably lackluster. Communication proved challenging due to frequent phone usage on the part of Maggie, considerably diminishing the quality of the interaction. Literally no communication, nothing friendly. Despite understanding her Mandarin dialogue, remarks about her preference for being present rather than engaging were overheard, coupled with a nonchalant attitude towards this being the initial encounter as a potential long term customer I was annoyed, compounded by her continuous phone engagement....was so irritating!!! Furthermore, a noticeable garlic odor emanated from her breath, a particularly discomforting experience for a pregnant clientele which made me want to barf. The inadequacy of the bedding added to the unfavorable experience, as repeated adjustments were necessary to prevent sliding. It is recommended that you upgrade the pillows and linens to alleviate this issue. A lapse in professionalism occurred when Maggie asked me to hold the fan myself for lash drying while she was on her phone....seriously? I'd consider a fan that latches to the lights to eliminate this inconvenience. Maggies intermittent conversations with her partner via AirPods, which I can hear him, was unsettling. This was exacerbated by Maggie's business phone set at maximum volume, leading to unnecessary disruption and seriously does it have to be that loud!!!!! While the quality of the lash products were great, the application process was crap. Within hours of the application, a considerable number of lash pieces prematurely came off within hours. Some brow hairs were ripped off when she was pulling off the tape, causing significant irritation. Honestly, at this point I told myself never ever again. She wasn't even empathetic. It is important to note that a surcharge of $2 for credit card transactions is imposed, a policy that appears unconventional, particularly in comparison to industry norms. For those seeking a reliable permanent lash destination, an alternative choice is advised, as this establishment falls short of meeting expectations. My previous experience with my old lash technician Lina, in the Bay Area was notably superior, emphasizing genuine client care and exceeding expectations. You can tell she was there to make you feel comfortable and beautiful. Maggie however, is the complete opposite, you can tell she definitely didn't want to be there. She's careless, lacks enthusiasm, and is unprofessional. read more

I've gotten my lashes done here with Maggie for a couple of months now and I've never felt more comfortable getting my lashes done than with her. She has gentle hands and I nap 90% of the times I'm getting my lashes done. I've been to many eyelash places and have tried many lash techs and Maggie is by far the best ! It's hard for me to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to trying out a new lash tech, but Maggie came highly recommended by my coworkers and she did not disappoint! A friend recommended to try out her lash girl named Maggie. I was a bit scared because I always went to a place near my house and they did beautiful natural lashes that lasted for at least a month because I took care of them. I am pregnant (my first) and I was curious about the experience of pregnant clients since laying on your back for a long period of time is not recommended. Maggie understood my concerns and let me know it all depends on the person who is pregnant. Luckily for me , I actually am a back sleeper so being on my back so far didn't give me any bad reactions like other pregnant women. I arrived and Maggie greeted me and asked me if I needed to use the restroom first . I said yes please since my baby has me peeing so many times. She asked me what style do I like and what size do I normally get. I told her what I remember and she recommended a length that would still be beautiful but not too long since I was going for a natural look. She was very sweet , polite soft voice . The bed felt more comfortable than the other place I would get my lashes at. Music was relaxing. As I was laying down I told her that sometimes I would use a small pillow on my hip or lower back so that I wouldn't be laying flat. She was considerate to offer me a pillow but I felt okay and told her it's okay. She also reminded me if I felt any burning to let her know. My lashes came out sooooo pretty and natural. Maggie is incredibly sweet and I'm so happy I found her on yelp. It's hard finding places that still offer classic lash extensions but she did an amazing job. She has a light touch so I had no problem falling asleep during my appointment. This was my first time getting my lashes done and I'm so happy I came here! I found Maggie through yelp :) and I'm happy I wasn't deterred by some weird negative reviews. Maggie has gentle hands; I didn't feel a thing and my eyes are super sensitive. Also, being from LA, I was so happy with how much parking there was outside her studio, which was super clean and calming. 10/10 will come back! HIGHLY recommend! I tried this place based on the Yelp reviews. I was super impressed with the results. These are the best my eyelashes have looked! I was happy with how much time Maggie took to explain the various options and ensure that I was getting the look that I was hoping for. She also explained after-care to make the lashes last as long as possible. AND she was very fast compared to the last place that I went. My lashes look very natural and the material is very soft. Maggie is super good. I got the mink set . I did a walk in. I have super short lashes. They look really natural. The place is super clean and it's really easy to book. I like that it doesn't take a credit card. You just book. The prices are really good, I use to go to Alhambra but they would tweak out after a few days/ I get a lot of comments on her good work. Maggie is an amazing lash technician and she made me feel so welcomed! The first time I came in I didn't know what I really what I wanted but I showed her what I would get before. She really went above and beyond! She is extremely knowledgeable within her work. She was able find the perfect sizes and curl shape to make the lashes look so natural for me! I talked with the owner who invited me to come back and make my lashes fuller to my desire. She also informed me as to why maybe some fell out . If you have naturally curly lashes it will be harder to get them done and stay on. I've been told this before. She updated my lashes and used tougher ones . Again, very kind and accommodating! I found Lash Glow on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Booking an appointment online was super easy, they have all their services listed. There isn't a parking lot but you can try to find parking on the street in the front of the store or in the neighborhood that's around the corner. It's a safe neighborhood so I wasn't worried about my car. Walking inside, it's one huge room with multiple lashing stations divided by a curtain. It was empty when I was there, just me and the girl who gave me my lash lift and tint. I didn't catch her name, but she was so sweet!! She gave me a run down of the various lashes they offered, I told her that I would eventually come back to get my lashes done and she had great recommendations for what I was interested in. My favorite thing about this place was the lashing bed! It was cushioned with a foam mattress pad, it put me straight to sleep! The process of getting the lash lift and tint went so smooth. They should clearly have photos of what is and is not included upfront.
