My husband and I have been going to Relax Day Spa for about 3 years. Went there today for the first time since they reopened and it felt incredibly great after the first massage in 6 months! They are opened indoor with limited capacity. The masseur had his mask on the whole time. They have an air purifier in the main room. Sheet were used to covered the chair and changed in between customers. They no longer provide blankets likely because the blankets are not washable. Michelle is usually my favorite but she only works on weekend now. John did the foot massage for me today and he was just as good. It's great to see their long term masseurs still working there. Booked a 1 hr Swedish Massage for $68. Easy online booking however, you will not necessarily get the therapist you booked with so call to confirm. I booked with Elaine but when I got there, she wasn't available. That wasn't a big deal to me since it was my first time and I ended up with John. John was great! He made sure pressure was good throughout the massage. The massage itself was great - he used long, slow strokes unlike other places that massage you like they're washing dishes. It is tucked away on the far left end side of the Marshall's, Ross, and Michaels Plaza. I called two hours in advance and had a 90 min deep tissue massage for $105 with Michelle. It was the kind of massage I expect the Burke Williams and Condé Nast rated Napa spas of the chic variety to provide, but always leave me hanging. Well I found that type of skillful and thoughtful massage here! I was put in room 9, no partitions, these are actual rooms so it's pretty quiet. The room was dimly lit and the white linens were crisp and clean. Michelle turned on the heated blanket and asked me if I had any problem areas. She gave me a strong deep tissue massage that hurt in the right places mixed with relaxing yet strong strokes. I could tell she was doing her best for me. By default, I'm the type of person who has a hard time relaxing during massages because I'm thinking about the areas that were missed or how cold it is in the room,etc. I literally just melted. Been coming here for awhile and I've tried a few different therapists and massages. Foot massages are good but my favorite are the seated chair massages. Some of the other therapists didn't really do it for me but Ken is really amazing. I've had a couple seated chair massages from him and they are consistently spectacular. I come here fairly often and really enjoy it - most of the massuses. My biggest recommendation would be to get here early as it gets VERY loud around 10AM on the weekends. Avoid the chair massages. My teen and I each left with an irritated esophagus from being pushed into the chair and a sore neck from improper techniques. My massage therapist was nice enough but she was unnecessarily rough in some areas that needed more care and precision and massaged the back of my neck laterally, across the delicate bones and muscles rather than vertically along them. I generally see certified massage therapists and did not expect this type of experience. I've not had another type of massage here so I cannot speak to any other treatment they provide at this business. There is also not much soundproofing in the chair massage area so talking from the lobby area was somewhat distracting. I will say that the facility was clean and scheduling was easy, with much availability. read more

I am a foot massage fanatic. They start with a head, face, shoulder, and arm massage while your feet are soaking. I usually request more time on the feet and they are always accommodating. The skill level is quite good in the proper pressure points on the bottoms of the feet. It can vary between the staff and I usually have to ask for more pressure. But I lived in Hong Kong and got a massage every week, so I like the serious stuff. The ambiance is great. Very comfortable recliners, music, and hardwood floors. The foot massages are done in a large room, but has never been crowded on my visits. I think maybe it is a hidden gem. One hour is $28, a 4 pack comes to $24 each. Even lower for 10 pack. read more

I love this place so much. This place is easily comparable to large spas like Glen Ivy and it's so affordable. They are sometimes booked out an entire day so you'll have to do a little bit of planning and you can't just have an impromptu massage but that just goes to show how great they are. I used to ask for a specific masseuse but I was desperate for a massage one day and my guy wasn't available so I went with someone else and it was equally as great. I had been to the Livermore one before and wanted to try this one in Dublin because of my good experience at Livermore. I chose the 1 hour foot massage and felt really really good by the time I came out. The masseuse started with the head, then shoulders and finally my legs. I couldn't recollect what happened when she was working on my legs. It was very refreshing and I decided to get their pre paid 4 sessions package and go there again sometime soon. Well for me to do a 5 star review, the place must be over the top, so no 5 stars here. I don't like the concept of charging you before you've had a service but I do understand. What more can I say, this is the best spa place I've ever been to. Friendly customer service, clean floor, clean restroom, and because of covid I was really worried about what sanitation procedure they do, but I felt safe when I see there is air filters in each room and even front counter and lobby as well, I had a foot massage before the body massage, that big couch was really comfortable so I fell a sleep lol.... but I see that they even changed the sheets and towels on the couch which made me felt safe, and when I stepped in to room for my swedish massage I see that they use uv light to sanitize the bed. Today I had a 30 min chair massage. Michele was great! Last couple days my neck and shoulders have been seriously tense because I've been feeling under the weather. When I checked in they asked if there were any areas I would like to focus on and she for sure got the job done. Foot reflexology for $35 was terribly boring. I've never actually been angry during a massage, but this guy pet the same parts of my foot for an hour with weak pressure. C'mon man! The chair/foot combo was a little better. Also I was not impressed to see that they don't wash or cover anything. Flowing water, an actual varied music playlist instead of the same "top 5 melodramatic piano solos" that so many other places use. $30 one hour foot massage (no back component) -- amazing value, worked with John. Nice guy. Receptionist was super nice, both the day and evening one, not sure if same person, but both kind, cordial and SPEAK english. (not that it matters to me, but it will for non-Mandarin speaking folks) Tips: -This is not a Burke Williams experience, nor will you have to pay two or three benjamins either. The foot massage area is a sort of communal setup to keep costs low. There are private rooms too. Please don't write a 1 or 2 star review because you're comparing apples to oranges. -Bring cash. I was impressed by Relax Ave Day Spa! I chose the Tranquil Tuesday (30 min Swedish massage and 30 minute foot massage) for $40. What a steal! They asked which service I preferred first. My foot massage was in a very comfortable chair that reclined with a blanket and pillow. This was community seating but very quiet, dim, and relaxing! Never even knew others were in there. It was more than a foot massage, but an arm and leg massage as well. For someone with neuropathy, it felt divine! After this, I was taken back for my massage. John had strong pressure, but it was needed. He was very attentive to my requests. I've had 5star massages at resorts and terrible scam massages. It's not even for the masseuse and masseurs employed here as it definitely is one of the better spas in the area. This review is for the front desk. The lady servicing the front desk at 2:24PM on 10/27/2018, to be precise. My husband and I had a couples appointment for a 30 mins foot massage and a one hour Swedish each. We were late for our 2:15PM appointment by 9 minutes since we were caught up in traffic. It was not out of want. We walked in and were reminded that we were late no less than 4 times. Look lady, I get it that we were late. I was even okay with cutting my appointment down by the 9 minutes that I was late. But I don't need your condescending attitude. I don't need your mumbling that I was very, very late 4 times either. Give your customer the benefit of doubt. And it's safe to say that I'm never coming back. (Not like you need my business anyway if you can dish that sort of an attitude at a customer) read more

This is a star better than your average asian spa. The massage therapists had a better technique and actually found the 'crunchy' points to work on in the muscles. it was easy to make an appointment for a saturday. we called in the morning and were able to get something for that afternoon. they had a 90min fall special we didnt find out about until after the appt we made for 60mins. unfortunately they couldn't accommodate after we had already made the appt. keep in mind that you have to pay for the massage before you actually get the service done. because of that we didnt add a tip in the initial transaction and unfortunately had to deal with an awkward situation at the end. we had already left the place and the receptionist lady ran out telling us we need to tip the masseuse. we didnt have any cash and had to tell them we can only pay by card. Though it's normal to tip, it was a turn off to see them demand tip like that. the place is clean. the staff mostly speak chinese i think because they didnt say much to me when i told them i dont speak chinese. the cons: 1. they cut short my massage by a few mins 2. didnt feel like the massage was that amazing or relaxing compared to a certified masseuse read more

Was in the area due to a work trip. Called several different places trying to book a same day appt. during Valentine's Day week, not my brightest idea. Called this jem of a place and was able to book two appts for my friend and I for later that evening. I had a prenatal massage with Michelle that was amazing! I wish I could take her back home with me. She used the right amount of pressure and I left feeling really great and able to move a lot better. At almost 9 months pregnant, no small feat my friends!
