I'm always grateful to have a spa day and since I received a gift card I thought I would give this place a go. It's off in Victor just a street or so away from Eastview Mall. It's in what seems to be a converted house. It's very tranquil and when you walk in it's soothing, they have lots of products to buy, candles and etc. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. It was a little wonky to make an appointment as the online booking was off, but an email exchange got it all together. Also as any good spa does you fill out a form about you and email it back to them. My facialist was excellent and went over things with me and it was a very relaxing experience. I learned a lot and was even told my regime was great I just needed to add a little something twice a week and yes I bought the product. They use organic products here at Relax the Spa. Would I go back sure, but it's not exactly close for me as I live in the city. Facials and other things are pretty much the going rates. It was my first time there at the spa so was super excited to get pampered. First thing! They gave me a robe and slippers and immediately showed me to the "quiet room," where it's a lounge area with a cozy fireplace, comfy chairs, and you can serve yourself water, tea and mixed nuts treats. My first appt was with Kourtney B. and got the classic pedicure. She is down to earth and took her time to make sure the pedicure was done right. I would definitely recommend her to people and will make another appointment with her. Next service was a facial with Aoife. I waited about 15 minutes until she showed up. She apologized that she was late cause apparently the previous appointment ran over. Pros : All the products smelled AMAZING!! She is very knowledgeable and will tell you step by step the process and products used. You get a scalp, arms, shoulder and foot massage with it. Cons: When a client is relaxing, sometimes they just want to sit in silence and not have people all up in their business. Perhaps try a training course to improve on people skills. The small talk was fine but felt like I was being interrogated to get a facial done. (examples: Try asking so where are you from instead so what kind of race are you? relationship status and what their occupation is right after you recommended that the session is expensive and advised something cheaper is not necessary) Since she showed up late and I had another appointment after, my appointment was cut short but I was still charged the full price. She apologized and again and said she was going to give me samples up front. Never got them. Last session I got a deep tissue massage with Veronica. She is the sweetest! If you ever want to get a massage, I would definitely make an appointment with her cause you'll be in great hands. My husband and I were looking for a spa that offered couples massages that wouldn't break the bank. I found and read reviews on various spas in the Rochester area and after some research, we decided to give Relax the Spa a try. We were not disappointed. We were greeted right upon entering the store of the spa by a nice young lady who showed us where to go and what to do. She was very professional. We were given a robe and slippers in our respective changing rooms. (Men's and women's rooms are separate). The women's room is equipped with secure lockers to store your belongings, two separate bathroom stalls, plenty of sinks, and a very large walk in rain shower that you can use after your services. Once you change to your comfort level, you can go and enjoy the quiet room. It's dimly lit, warm, and cozy. You're offered a warm heated neck pad, a tea menu, orange infused water, and some light snacks while you wait to be called. The massages we had were excellent. We both left absolutely refreshed, rejuvenated, and relaxed. Both masseuses asked us exactly what we wanted and were very professional. After the massages, we sat in the quiet room together for a little while before going back to the changing rooms to clean up and get changed. The women's room offers an array of toiletries for you to refresh if you wish. The shower was spectacular, private, and felt like a shower you'd find in a five star resort. When I walked into RELAX I couldn't move my neck and had a pounding headache. 80 minutes later I was able to move my neck and the headache had dissipated. It was honestly like a miracle. At other spas it takes a few appointments to get that result. Veronica, possibly the best masseuse, used their new cupping method along with massage to alleviate my pain. She found the trigger points and was able to eradicate the majority of them. I went here for a wax and let me tell you: when you come here it is not just an appointment it is an experience. You truly feel luxurious and pampered from when you first arrive. The waiting spa room allows you to put on a robe and drink lemon water while waiting for your appointment. When it was ready, she came into the waiting room and led me to the waxing room. Of course I made the mistake of shaving too close to my appointment date and therefore was not able to get waxed, but I wasn't even disappointed because of the experience I had. Relax the Spa is one of my favorite places for me time. I tried the yoga massage and the hydra facial and absolutely loved them both! The facial left my skin looking younger and it felt amazing. It was very relaxing and included incredible massage. The yoga massage was very unique and felt like nothing I've ever experienced before. Afterwards, I felt like I had just gone for a run- sore in a good way, not really sore, just felt like my body was thanking me. I highly recommend it especially if you want to try something new. I went back for a facial. My esthetitian Effi gave customized a facial for my skin. The facial included massage of feet, arms and shoulders neck that was the icing on the top. We really enjoyed it here--it's clean, with large, uncramped spaces and a quiet, warm ambiance. Massages were wonderful, was certainly worth it, they are true, skilled professionals. Facials were also enjoyed, it was suggested to try something more standard and basic to start, if you don't get regular facials. Truly amazing service in every way, the women there are fantastic and will take care of everything you need. I've done the lavender pedicure and I would highly recommend it, it's worth the price in every way, I've had many pedicures before and nothing compares to that one. The massages are fantastic as well however my only critique is that if you don't arrive early you will lose out on the time you pay for since it takes 5-10 minutes for them to come get you to start the massage. Extremely professional and kind service. It was my first time getting a professional massage and the experience was a delight. The massage was very relaxing and also more informative than I realized. I learned why I was having the pain I was in some areas due to my amazing masseuse. My masseuse would also check in with me and ask if the pressure was okay to make sure I was comfortable. Overall my experience was decent. However, my 50 minute facial was not 50 minutes. The service started between 1:13PM or 1:14PM & concluded at 1:52PM. So I had at least 12 minutes cut off the time of my facial. I was sure to be aware of this because of how late my service started. Essentially 20% of the time (actually more because 10 minutes would be 20%) that was supposed to go into my service was taken away and I don't think it's okay, but maybe that's just how Relax operates as a business. I don't know if I'd consider going back and if I did recommend this place to anyone I'd tell them to be very weary. The environment was relaxing so that was nice. read more

Nice place! We had a 50 minutes hot stone massage on a Saturday. Their website was all booked for the time I needed but they were kind enough to shift their schedule around to accommodate me. From the front desk to the back everyone and everything was nice. The massage table was very comfortable. The bathroom/locker room was extremely clean. Sadly the lockers area is a little tight but it's doable. I had to wait for my turn when there was another patron in there. But I suppose when we come here we should relax and chill. Sadly we were 15 minutes late so I can't say much about the deep tissue massage since I only had it for about 10 minutes then had to move onto the hot stone part (I should have skipped the hot stone and just asked for deep tissue the entire time!) for the deep massage I asked for firm massage but it wasn't as firm as I preferred or had at elsewhere (Rockville, MD to be specific). My fiancé and I went today for deep tissue massages. The spa is gorgeous. We were given robes and slippers in our respective locker rooms. We were then offered water or tea, along with a warm neck wrap in the quiet room/waiting area. Where we were left to fill out our paper work. We were greeted by our massage therapist and brought to our joined room. We were given the best massages ever, they really got in there and got both our knots out and really focused on the areas we said needed attention. At the end they recommended ways to improve those areas. My only complaint would be that they need another shower in the locker room. I waited 10 minutes for the person in their to come out and they never did, so I was unable to shower. Other then that, amazing experience! read more

This was my first experience at any sort of spa, I came here with my sister and friend to get facials done as a pre-wedding thing. I have struggled with acne pretty badly for the past few months but right when I went my acne was under control and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give my skin some TLC. My sister and friend had wonderful experiences. I had an okay experience, the massage was good, the experience was good, and the staff was very friendly/attentive. Everything was great, other than my facial. I felt absolutely no difference in my skin, I actually felt as if my skin was heavier than before I walked in. She even did extractions and I looked in the mirror afterwards and still saw so many black heads in my trouble areas I had told her about. I was given no aftercare instructions for what to do after the facial was over, but my sister had told me that her lady told her not to wash anything off and to let the masks/creams sink into her skin. Had she not told me that I would have left and wiped down my face when I got home since my face looked like a giant oily disaster when I walked out, even though the other twos faces did not. The next two mornings after the facial I woke up with not one, not two, but FIVE new pimples. My skin is pretty acne prone and sensitive but I had told the lady this before she had began when she asked what my main concerns are. Would I try getting a facial again? Had an Organic Facial this morning with Christine. She was amazing. The spa did a fantastic job with health and safety measures and really took it seriously. When I got in to the treatment room, Christine explained all of the precautions being taken and what I could expect during the appointment. Truly an Oasis! I've been there several times, for facials and massages, and they were heavenly. My mother (86 years young) loves to be pampered and RELAX has always been so accommodating with her limitations. I had scheduled my mother for a day of pampering- 90 min massage, followed by a facial. My mother was feeling a little off but we went regardless (onwards and upwards... lol). After arriving and having here shown to the locker room- she felt dizzy. I didn't feel comfortable continuing her services given her symptoms. The staff at RELAX were lovely and didn't charge us for having to leave. They are always a pleasure to communicate with and I was expecting to pay because of the cancellation policy- it was for hours of service but they said it wasn't necessary. I visited this spa a few months ago. While the atmosphere is nice, I paid an exorbitant amount of money for a facial that consisted mostly of massage. If I wanted a massage I would have gotten one. The esthetician, while very nice, did no extractions and my skin looked basically the same when I left as when I arrived. I received a 100$ gift card from my father for Christmas for RELAX The Spa and finally got around to using it last month. Despite my GPS taking me to the wrong 235 High Street Ext (beware if you're using a GPS, mine acted as though there was only one and didn't give me the option to choose and took me a half hour of the way) and me arrive a few minuets after my schedule 3 pm massage, they accommodated me wonderfully. I quickly filled out paperwork and was let known that since I did arrive late, it would cut into my time a bit but I was fine with that. I was taken into the changing room, given a robe and some sandals, and was taken to the quite room where my masseuse retrieved me and brought me to the room. It was very dim (which I enjoy) and had the faint glow of a salt lamp on the dresser. My massage (80 min Swedish) was very good, it helped relieved lots of my tension and back pain which is what I was hoping for. Afterwards, I was led back to the quiet room for a glass of water and to discuss with the masseuse my problem areas/what she noticed during the massage. It was informative and she let me know that I could rest in there as long as I wanted and that when I was ready I could go back in and change and check out. I will definitely be back when I have some spare money/another gift card because the service was fantastic and it felt like a really relaxing experience, true to the name! read more
