On the second attempt, they arrived 2 hours late and the third day the showed 3-hour s later after the service window I was given . When the technician finally came, he looked at my washer, ran a cycle, and told me nothing was wrong--even though I clearly explained that it wasn't draining properly. The very next morning, I ran a load of laundry and had the exact same issue: the water still wouldn't drain. I called them again and was given another window of 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but once again, they didn't show up until 6:00 PM. When the technician arrived, I asked about an error code I had found. His response was dismissive--he said he works on many machines and doesn't know all the error codes. In my experience, a trained technician can usually diagnose issues within minutes. At one point, he even showed me that he was using ChatGPT on his phone as part of his "diagnostic test," which was honestly concerning. He then quoted me $500 for the repair. I laughed and asked him to leave. Later, a manager called to confirm the same $500 flat rate but refused to break down the cost. I had already researched the part myself--it costs around $50-$80, which means they were charging over $400 in labor for what should be a relatively quick fix. Big scam, stay away. don't use Mike. 1. I hired him because my AC compressor was making a noise, Mike came did a quick check said it's the fan motor that's making the noise and recommended for replacement. After the motor was replaced, the noise was still there. Then Mike said having the noise is completely normal. I was so shocked. If it's normal, why did you recommend me to replace the fan motor. 2. Not only didn't he fix the noise, he broke my AC completely. After the motor was replaced, my AC stopped working. I asked him to fix the AC but he refused to. It's like you bring your car to a shop to fix water pump, but end up paying for a new radiator, and your car doesn't start. 3. He refused to fix my AC and demanded for payment, which i refused to pay. He started to threat me and called the police. What a waste of time and public resources. 4. At the end, to show my respect to the elderly, because he said he is 67 yrs old, i paid him. I told him to stop doing what he did to me to other customers. Now, If you are looking for a good technician for your appliance repair, find someone more reliable. Mike is not the one. read more

My Samsung oven door had fallen off on one side. I called Reliable and booked a service person. I was told for hi. To come out was $100 and it would be taken off if the work is done. He got here and was done in less than 10 minutes. He then charged me $200. No parts were used. So I asked him. Even with the service fee taken off its still $200 and hour? He said yes and the dispat her told me yes. So know there are other people to do this work that will not charge you $200 per hour!!!! I would not recommend them. read more

I'm mad at myself for not reading the reviews carefully before I booked our appointment. Many match our experience. Gas oven not lighting. Technician spends 15 mins diagnosing a broken igniter, offers the following quotes: - New igniter - $115 (after he left, I ordered a new one from the manufacturer for $55) - Projected labor- 30 mins total (per the tech) - Project cost - $495 *quick math... that would have been $380 for 30 minutes of labor, aka: $760/hour, aka: $1.5 million/year annualized.* Chew on that for a minute. I'm sure the $95 visits add up to some nice revenue -- even with people (like us) not proceeding due to inflated quotes. Seems like a risky business model to me. There is a lot to be said for building a loyal customer base- especially for things like broken appliances, which happen all the time. In any case, for anyone considering this business, I would strongly recommend reading the reviews (good and bad) with a critical eye. read more

When you call to complain, they repeat the same pattern promise a supervisor, but a different person answers and nothing gets fixed. They offered a refund and failed to follow through. I needed a repair for my oven. I reached one company with the same name, but they weren't local and customer service wasn't great. I tried a local 909 number and this time I reached the local servicer. Mike was available within a couple of hours and was able to repair the oven the same day. He was quick, did not waste time and was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend. Make sure you ask where they are based. If they service all over, they are not the same company. Although I was happy with the prompt service for a same day appointment for our washer and refrigerator, I felt that there wasn't much investigative work. For our ice maker, he stuck a flashlight around the freezer and refrigerator and just recommended a whole new ice maker. He didn't even pull the fridge out. There didn't seem to be much troubleshooting. For our washer he recommended a new transmission. I asked him how he knew that was the issue and he said "you can just hear it." I'm not buying it. It could have been the motor coupler which would have required a little more investigative work. For the cost to replace the transmission on the washer, I can get a brand new machine. Time for a second opinion. It probably also doesn't help that we were the last call of the day and the tech probably just wanted to go home. read more

NEVER use this company. We requested them to come out on 3/11 to add a conversion from propane to natural gas on dryer. The worker Eric, showed up, thought he was fixing the stove, and after I corrected him and informed him it was the dryer he told me "it needs to be converted from propane to gas " I said "yes, that is why you are here" 'Eric' told me that he didn't have the part and that he would follow up with me the following Tuesday or Thursday (3/17 or 3/19) - however he would need a deposit. He charged my credit card $200 (for half of the service). We heard nothing for an entire week. We called the office twice (they said that they would page the tech). Never heard back. Called today requested to speak with a supervisor. Eric called me back saying that he "would have the part for the STOVE MAYBE next Tuesday (3/24) " It was NEVER THE STOVE. I told him I did not feel comfortable and wanted to terminate service. They are only refunding me 50% of a service/part that never was complete or received. Never got a supervisor on the phone EVER. The irony is that Eric apologized for 'not getting back to you this week' and when i called the office back to request a refund, the person that answered the phone told me "Eric just told me he called you multiple times this week" - - - this was immediately after i had just hung up the phone with Eric and he apologized for "never calling us back. Like others I too got swindled of $100-our appliance is 30 yrs old so when I called for an appointment I inquired if they carried parts for my particular brand, appliance and situation. I was told they do. When Robert arrived, he said it was normal for an oven to be 25 degrees off and no repair was needed. We also needed clips to hold the thermostat in place in the oven and he said clips are not needed and proceeded to stick the thermostat into the holes where the clips went. New hinges were also needed for the oven door and Robert said they do not carry the parts and he would get back to us within a day or two after he did the research on the internet. When I mentioned that I was told that they carry the parts on the truck he said they don't know- they just answer the phones. We still have not heard from him. He did not do any real investigating with all that we wanted him to repair in the oven-he mainly stood at the counter and talked his way through it quoting some unrealistic amount of money if we wanted to replace the thermostat in the oven. Unfortuneately we also got scammed as so many others with this company. One star is really too high a rating! read more

They over charge their customers, and will have a automatic service fee of over $100 just for them to come over. And even when you decide to use them, they over charge. They charged me $125 for changing a switch, plus another $250 just to change the garbage disposal not to mention the service fee of $125 is added. That's a rip off!!!! He wanted his $360 before he did the work so I wrote him a check which I was very hesitant to do but needed the fridge raider to be fixed. He only vacuumed the coils in the back for $360. We have known Mike for the last 20+ years. For my entire family, Mike is our go-to person whenever something breaks and needs repair. He is always on time, professional, and his workmanship is second to none. During the early morning hours of Thursday last week, our A/C unit started having serious problems. It is something we have been dreading due to the age of the A/C unit. We called one of the larger HVAC companies, who came out and informed us they don't repair older A/C models and that we would need brand new Heater and A/C units. For a new system, they quoted us somewhere North of $16,000. We immediately called Mike to see if he could fix our A/C unit. On Friday morning, Mike arrived right on time to give us an estimate. He diagnosed the problem as an old motor and some other problems that could have lead to a house fire. We had a suspicion the motor was bad because it was doing the exact same thing our bathroom fan motors did before they started smoking. We asked Mike how long it would take to get the replacement parts. He said he had everything needed in his truck to fix the problems and that there was no need to buy a brand new unit. We then asked Mike how long it would take to fix everything and he said it would only be an hour or two. Our A/C unit is now working as if it was a brand new unit, but at a fraction of what we were quoted for an actual brand new unit. We could not be happier with Mike, his workmanship, and his honesty. This guy came out and told us we needed a $650 part for our washer and he would charge us $150 to put it in. He then told us he would advise getting an old washer to replace ours. He then said he would buy ours for $50. What a crook! Our washer is less than two years old, the part he was going to replace only costs $200 to purchase. Had an issue with my dryer. I called the number provided and was immediately answered. Mike stated he would arrive at my residence within and hour to review the problem. Prior to terminating the call, he explained the service call details and assured me of face mask protocol due to Covid-19 He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He also suggested to have a worn belt replaced, which was shown to me as proof (belt was worn out). Repairs were completed in approximately 30 minutes, no mess left behind and a full description on what was done and the warranty on the service provided.
