My daughter and I went to look at a pre-owned car today. Madison Anderson called us 30 minutes before we were supposed to meet, to make sure that we were coming. We told her that we were on our way. Upon arrival, she informed us that the car had been sold. We asked her why she didn't let us know that, before we drove an hour out of our way. Edited a week later: I decided to return the car--not the right timing for me, though it was a great truck. The experience shifted completely once they realized I was there to return it, which was disappointing. The initial friendliness quickly disappeared, and by the end, no one could even be bothered to shake my hand. Just another typical dealership experience--more about the paycheck than the people. I had to make multiple trips (4-5 times) just to finalize the return and get my check back. They add fees that are not advertised this fee changes every month they will tell you it's the cost they put into making the car ready, in reality they did not do anything and they are adding junk fees to the consumer. Dealer uses bait and switch advertising tactics. Unethical business practices lied about CARFAX information Advertised price was not real due to $1675 worth of add-on reconditioning charges. This is important to know because they get you into the dealership by being the lowest price on CarGurus. Then you move forward thinking it's the advertised price or less and it's NOT even close. Not only, that, one guy (the Sr. Sales rep helping my Jr Sales Rep) hands me a printed sheet of paper showing all the other same make and model cars in a 100 mile or so radius bragging they had the cheapest price. Well after you add on the hidden fees it was not the BEST. The sales guy contacted me to say he could take 500.00 off the reconditioning fees so I was mulling it over. The next day the sales guy said the car was sold after I inquired about it. I buy a lot of cars and I'm very experienced and dealing in cars and haven't seen these old-school tactics used in a long time. Dealerships that have sales people that lie and have false advertising don't stay in business very long, so I'm surprised this place is still there The sad thing is, they have young sales people getting trained by seasoned sales people that are teaching them to lie and do unethical things when customers are thinking about buying a car. AVOID! I ended up finding a better car, better price and even though it was out of state, it was better value overall and I got to work with an honest dealer. RELIABLE CHEVROLET isn't very reliable! I usually go to Chevrolet dealership by the Galleria and they've been awesome but I moved and tried this dealership. The service guys I dealt with were dishonest and charged me for services not provided. When I came back in to have them provide services charged for I had to argue with them and then they tried to charge me another $200. I already paid $150+ for an oil change. Zero stars is a better rating. Classic Bait and Switch. After reading all the negative reviews and thinking maybe people don't always understand the process, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I hadbeen searching for a vehicle for some time and found a 2019 Silverado 4WD located at Reliable on Cargurus. Low miles, less than 37k for 27k. VIN: 2GCVKPECXK1221477 Stock number: K1221477 I ran a check on the vehicle. Found no issues, only one service record but that doesn't mean much. I followed up and made an appointment for six hours later the same day to see the vehicle. I received a follow up call telling me they would contact me about an hour before the appointment. They did not. When I arrived the salesman tells me I'm early, I say no, actually I'm ten minutes late. My appointment was at 2:00... oh oh I thought it was only 10:00 am! He says I'll get the vehicle. I ask where the restrooms are and head that direction. I come back and hang around a few minutes before he returned. He hands me back my driver's license and says "That vehicle had some mechanical issues and is not available, but we have other vehicles..." My reply to him was "No thank you, I don't do bait and switch," and walked out. Mechanical issues? Now why would I even want it? I had driven over an hour each way and took four hours out of my day in good faith. This dealership had no regard for my time. They only wanted to get me in the door. My time is too valuable for this kind of BS. To be treated this way is incredibly unethical. Yes, there are still car dealers that still practice these kind of tactics. Do yourself a favor. Don't. On Friday August 30, 2024, I originally contacted the service department at young Chevrolet and advised the Manager that my screen had completed went black while driving. He advised that I could drop it off and they would get to it within 4 days to find out what is going on with it. That was too long without being without my vehicle and not knowing what could possibly be wrong with it. I then contacted the service department at Reliable and spoke directly with my then service advisor Daniel Robertson. I advised him I previously contacted Young Chevrolet and informed him of what I was advised of. He then made me appointment for August 31, 2024, at 7:00 am to bring in my 2022 Tahoe. I went to my appointment and waited about almost 3 hours before Daniel and Corey the technician came in and informed me of some good and bad news as Daniel stated. I asked what the good news and he said that your vehicle is here and then I asked what the bad news was he then stated that the wires sparked fire when the technician Corey was looking at it and that I had to leave it because it could have caught on fire. I then asked if I could see so the technician Corey walked me to the back and showed me what he found and he had pictures of it. I asked could he send me the pictures and he said that Daniel would. After, I left from the back where my 2022 Tahoe was, I asked Daniel for a loaner car and he stated that there was no available, I said how am I supposed to get to Forney from here and he said I am sorry we don't have any vehicles. He then asked his Manager Eric if he could take me home and Eric reply was who is going to fulfill your appointments. Then a vehicle was turned in as a loaner and I said that I can take that one and he said no we must retire them at 6500 miles I said oh wow. So, I asked Eric when a loaner will become available, and he went on to tell me about other customers been waiting and they will get it first. I said even though with my circumstances that my 2022 Tahoe could have simply caught on fire while driving. I went to my salesman Manny Hernandez to give me a ride to Enterprise to get a rent a car and he graciously did so without hesitation which Daniel nor Eric offered. Daniel stated that he would call me on Tuesday September 3, 2024, since Monday the 2nd was Labor Day, and I never received a call. I then called him on September 3, 2024, to get the status of my 2022 Tahoe, he said I have been busy, and I am not sure I said that I need you to find out because I am paying for this rental out of pocket. He called me back and said that they ordered the parts, and I said when will they be in, he advised that he did not know but would find out. He called back and stated that it would be coming from Michigan, and it should be there in 5 to 7 days, and I said that is a long time. I then asked for a loaner again stressing the fact that I am paying for this rental out of my pocket. His response was we still do not have one and said I truly understand, and I asked do you really understand. Now let's get to the Friday September 13, 2024, I called his line several times to get no answer. I then decided to contact his Manager Eric and spoke with him, and he said I am looking at your 2022 Tahoe now let me find out what is going on with it and I will call you back. He then called me back and stated your 2022 Tahoe is ready and then he said your advisor Daniel did not contact you and I replied NO he has not. I went to the dealership to get my 2022 Tahoe and as I walked in Daniel Robertson said Mrs. Jones I said yes, and he only stated your keys are at the Cashiers. There was no remorse or apology from him or nothing stating that he neglected to contact me and keep me informed. Generally, they are telling you that your review is their report card but this time around he said nothing about a review because I guess he assumed that I would not get to write one. WRONG Daniel Robertson there is a site called YELP and that is where I went to write it. I had previously rated you twice for oil changes they were good reviews but NOT this time in my book if I could give you zero stars that is what it would be. Just a miserable buying experience all the way around. I ended up returning the pre-owned vehicle and getting another one with low miles. I decided to have it serviced before I took it out of town, and what do you know? They return it to me with the check engine light on and leaking fluids. Did they seriously think that I wouldn't notice? Then they tell me that I need to be patient, and that they will work me in with an appointment in a few days." That mysterious $1400 fee added to the sale price is supposedly for them to service vehicles before placing them on the lot for sale. Obviously, that never really happens. They are so concerned with the quick turnaround that they don't actually service pre-owned vehicles when they are traded in. They just wash them and slap a price on them. Per my husband who purchased a used 2018 Kia stinger back in July of 2022. DO NOT BUY A USED VEHICLE HERE AT RELIABLE CHEVROLET RICHARDSON. I bought a used Kia stinger from these con artists. They assured me this car was perfectly running. I have had this car 2 years and only driven it one year out the 2 due to the car being in different mechanic shops for the rest of the time. These people convinced me to buy their third party warranty called "MPP" saying that it was the best thing and it would cover my car bumper to bumper. This was a major lie and not did it only increase the monthly cost of my vehicle I'm sure the con artist who sold me it got a payment also. I've spent over 1000$ on diagnostics, replaced an engine 7,000$ replaced the suspension 1 week after driving it off..7,000 then now my turbos need a replacement 6,800$. I've paid almost 22,000 in repairs in a span of 2 years because these con artists sold me this car. They made me sign a "as is" paper work so they can have their hands cleared. They will fix a car good enough to drive off the lot then act oblivious on the angry feed back when the car gives out. The third party warranty never helped once and denied every single repair. I am a veteran and health care worker. I advise anyone doing business here to know they are here to lie and make things sound better than they actually are. Please do not do business with this company and save yourself a headache. I will not delete this post unless this company wants to pay. To start, car salesman was a younger guy and immature (nice dude tho) who didn't seem very knowledgeable as he couldn't answer all of my questions thoroughly. He seemed new. However, his manager was an a-hole. Kept me waiting around for forever, they didn't seem to care about the customer. The manager was very aggressive in his negotiation and seemed pissed that I just wanted to look at numbers and think about it. They made me "sign" a chicken scratch piece of paper saying that I will buy the car today if my terms are met. And that's the only way they would run my credit to look at numbers, because they wanted serious buyers only and didn't want to waste their own time? Which confused me, I am serious if I'm asking you to run my credit to look at numbers... if I like the numbers I could buy it. They basically wanted me to pinky promise that I would buy it. Your little piece of paper isn't binding and I can walk away whenever, just run my numbers, man! They showed me my numbers and I was good to go, since that was all I wanted. I said from the beginning I was only looking and test driving this car that I wanted, but will not be buying today. They kept asking what it would take to buy it today, to which I responded multiple times, it would take a deal I can't refuse. Like a nice discount, which they only took a bit off and kept saying they couldn't do any more. To which I said, well thanks anyways, let me think about it. Well, that pissed off the manager! Why do they keep asking what it would take to do business today, if when you answer and they say no, and you don't buy today they get pissed off?? You ASKED! And I don't want to buy today, so it would take an offer I can't refuse! He wouldn't go any lower on price when he was trying to sell it to me at $1,000 over the high end trade in value. Honestly was a terrible experience and it's a shame because I really want the car, but I don't want to give them my money or deal with them. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! I have a warranty in my car and one of my door trims fell off while driving on the highway. I had called ahead to confirm if this was covered and I was told that it was and that I could take my car to any Chevy dealer so they can look at it. I normally go to the Galleria Chevrolet (they have excellent customer service btw), but when I got there, they recommended I go to the any Chevy Collision center. When I called Reliable Collision Center, I explained my situation and I explained that I was 20 minutes away and they told me that as long as I got there before 6pm I was fine. I arrived at 4:30pm to Reliable and I was helped by Mark, whose demeanor was extremely rude and hostile, he rudely explained that his team was gone for the day and that I was not covered (not even looking at my paperwork). I asked if I could get an estimate if I was not covered, and Mark proceeded to say that he was "fixing to leave" and that he didn't know. Clearly Mark does NOT CARE about customers, he just wants to leave early on Friday and waste people's time. Do yourselves a favor and drive to the Plano Collision Center in Huffines, where they at least have some human decency. read more

Terrible experience. My brother was in need of a vehicle and came to test drive and purchase a car that was advertised on their website. We arrive for our scheduled appointment and they are absolutely not ready for us. They couldn't even find the keys. Once they do, he is shown a car that is clearly NOT ready for resale and looks as if it was just towed off the side of the road after a car accident. When questioning the salesman, he tells us it still has to go to the shop and so not available for purchase yet ("it'll be a month or two") and then has the audacity to try and get him to go inside to talk numbers. Awful After Sales Experience! Taken complete advantage of!! Please read until the end as it gets worse and worse! I purchased a 2021 Chevy Blazer with this dealership. I naively was sold the dream non-issue car. It had 30k miles, it was CPO verified and I even purchased the premium guarantee. Once I left the dealership on the day I purchased my Blazer, the nightmare began. I pointed out within the first 24hrs that the car smelled like smoke, it was not detailed, there was a vibration in the breaks, I had a slow puncture, the car door handle was two different colors, there was no rear passenger mat and the rear fender was damaged a causing a loud rattle noise in the car due to it rubbing against the wheel. Unfortunately, I did not notice all these issues before buying the car, as it took and additional drive or two for some of these issues to present themselves. Once I brought the car in to fix these issues I was told it would be ready by the end of the day. It was not! I was told it would be ready the next day. It was not! This went on for 6 days. I finally got my car back and it was still not right. My front left tire still had a puncture. They claimed that they put air in it, but after a day it went from a 38psi right down to a 35psi. It still was not detailed. There was still no passenger mat and to top it all off there are now scratches on the front right bumper. Of course they denied it was their fault. I tried reasoning with them to solve the last few issues, but they advised that the car would be gone for more than a day and refused top give me a replacement car for the duration. This went on for an additional two weeks where they explained they did not have a rental and they would not be willing to help me. Finally, with the tire now being dangerous I got it patched myself. When I went to get the tire patched, the store manager explained to me that 3 out of the 4 tires are near bare and should not have passed inspection. I only had the car for 28 days! I drove it 125 miles since the day of my purchase. They claimed that this was my issue and there was nothing they could do. The cherry on top of all this was the disrespectful General Sales Manager named Derek. When his management team tried to compromise and offer two new tires, he shouted across the sales floor saying that he will absolutely not agree to replacing two tires, put the full blame on me and made a mockery of the whole situation. I could hear this as I was only a few cubicles down. I asked to speak with him directly and he refused to come out from behind his desk and speak to me. His behavior was unwarranted and disgraceful and outside of all the other issues, this alone would be enough to not come back to this dealership. All in all, I'm down about $1,000 after replacing my tires, not to mention the Ubers and other expenses it personally cost for the duration of not having my car. This was after spending $28k at the dealership. I was completely taken advantage of as I unfortunately do not know a lot about cars and just moved here from Ireland. Took my vehicle in after filling out an appointment online. I had planned to drop my vehicle off but when I got there - the technician I was SCHEDULED to meet had JUST gone to lunch. Requested service was for state inspection and an issue with my center console. I ended up dropping it off with another service manager - with no clue about its status after 24 hours. Even after emailing him. It would be such an easier/nicer experience if they just had a dedicated couple people to intake cars. This person will handle the queue of car service and relaying updates to customers. I don't mind waiting - what I do mind is being in the dark. Also - don't have an online scheduler if it's not respected and appointments are not kept up on YOUR end. read more

Brought my truck back in for a tire balance because they didn't do it when I brought it in for service. Sat in the waiting room for over 4 hours for a tire balance which was not my fault in the first place. Seems like every time I bring it here I have to come back because they didn't do something. Wes told us if we brought it in by noon he would get the truck in. We were here at 9:30am. 4 hours later for a simple tire balance. Not good! To top it off we left and the steering wheel is off center and they could not get to our navigation problem. 80 bucks later and we still have a problem! Service department.... You need a better customer waiting process. BTW one of your porters stands by the cashier door and smokes. Waiting room smells like a dirty ashtray. If I could give Reliable a zero star review I would. My son bought a used car on August 30 of 2022. Almost immediately it had transmission issues and the car was then at the shop for WELL OVER a month. We paid 2 car payments and 2 months of insurance for a car he could not drive. We called regularly for an update and told a multitude of reasons why it was taking so long. Communication FROM the dealership was basically non existent. Example:Service Mgr would say he'd call me the next morning - not only did he not call when he said he would, he didn't call back at all and once again we were calling them for an update. Never proactively reached out to us. We went into the dealership on more than one occasion to get resolution. Did not help. Fast forward to now, back in the shop (NOT at Reliable!) needing a new motor. He has put less than 8000 miles on the car and it is an absolute POS. I can't wait to get it fixed then get rid of it. 100% regret buying the car from Reliable. And...how ironic it's called Reliable. read more

This is a long story that is not finished yet. I can not say enough how disappointed I am with this Dealership Service Department. We put wife's Tahoe in for service last Friday the 26th. The only reason I even chose this center was because I could schedule my appointment online, which I thought my get my Tahoe in sooner. I could not have been more wrong. Scheduling online meant nothing. Alas, I left my wife's Tahoe in the hands of "Daniel", who told me he would try to get it into their technician that day, but if not it would be Monday. Either way he would call me with an update. No communication from Daniel on Friday, which is ok, he let me know it could be Monday. Monday roles around, zero communication again from Daniel. I called and left 2 voicemails for Daniel and left another message with the front desk for him, no response. My wife then called and was transferred to him. Daniel let my wife know that the technician was off on Friday and Monday so it would be the next day before he could even look at it. Unreal! So either Daniel was clueless as to the fact that the technician was out of town, which is shocking given its 2024, or he straight up lied in order to get me to leave him my car. Either way, this is absurdly poor communication. Daniel promised up and down to my wife that he would have it to the technician first thing Tuesday morning as an urgent request since we had been waiting AND that he would call to confirm that the technician had received the Tahoe. This was the least he could do for a stay at home mom of 3 who was without her car. Tuesday morning roles around. No call from Daniel. Tuesday afternoon, still no call. About 3:30 Tuesday afternoon I call Daniel for an update, no answer, so again I leave a voicemail. My wife calls and Daniel answers, and proceeds to let my wife know that they did not put my car into the technician on Tuesday because another individual had come in "from out of town" and needed help, and apparently the "manager" (I assume Wes Marks or Eric David, according to their site) had decided to push my wife's car and bump this other person's car ahead of us because it was out of town. Which tells me one thing and one thing only, they care about money more than the customer. Daniel informed us that he would make sure the car was in the technician's possession first thing Wednesday morning. All of this alone would be enough for a Zero star review at best. Awful, awful customer service and treatment! However, the story goes on. Wednesday, Daniel calls to let me know the technician reviewed and found the problem and assured me it could be done TODAY. I agreed to let them go ahead and fix what needed to be fixed, at this point its too late to go anywhere else (I promise they knew that yesterday when the manager chose to let another customer in front of us). At 4:30 today (Wednesday) Daniel calls to let me know he thinks my Tahoe will be finished within the hour...5PM...Daniel again calls to let me know that the part they need to fix my Tahoe didnt come in today, but should be in first thing in the morning and he will submit (yet another) urgent request for my car to be repaired first thing... Needless to say, at this point my understanding is they are complete liars, or have zero and I mean zero idea what is going on here. Those are the only 2 possible explanations. Either way. There is a long list of other, better auto service centers in the Richardson area. Avoid this one at ALL possible costs!!! read more

Took my 2021 Tahoe into Reliable Chevrolet 's service department for repair with just less than 50K miles on Saturday 8/31/2024. Note, I was told at this dealership they do not care what work was performed on my car in the past. I explained I had my brakes flushed this past June and was told if my car starts flashing codes again the master cylinder would need to be replaced. I also gave a contact name and number if they had any question regarding my brakes. The service advisor Shawn told me they do not work with other dealerships to resolve mechanical issues. As of today Monday 9/9/2024 my car is being held hostage!!! Repairs were preformed on my car that had already been done. My front wheel bearings were new and replaced in May 2022. I was told there was play in the bearings! So they ripped the new wheel bearings out and replaced them .Any certified mechanic should be able to see the bearing were NOT 3 years old and in fact shiny and new. All that needed to be done was to tighten the wheel bearings! Also just days before bring my car in the front left tire sensor was replaced. The new sensor was purchased at the Plano Chevy dealership! I was told by service advisor Shawn Day " the parts on my car are after market parts and defective"! The brakes were flushed again instead of checking out the master cylinder. They also preformed a wheel alignment which did need to be done. I was told to bring in my receipts for the new parts on my car to prove the parts are new. So this was done and another service advisor informed us that Chevy dealerships put second generation parts on customers cars all of the time. The fact that the new sensor was purchased at the Plano Chevy dealership does not guarantee the parts is certified. If this is the case why would anyone bring there vehicles to a dealership! Now this gets even more crazy and unprofessional! We were told the mechanics that work at this dealership are like medical surgeons and each surgeon will have a different diagnosis. On Wednesday 9/4/2024 I was told my parts just came in. At that time, I demanded Shawn to stop the work on my car and to please have his manager Wes call me. As of today, 5 days later still no call from Shawn Day's manager. Also not sure why we brought in our proof of new parts because this did absolutely nothing! My total bill is $2574.32 and I can guarantee my car will be back in the shop for a master cylinder in a short time! This dealership does not care about the customer only making money. They advertise a price on Cargurus but when you show up to their dealership, you will find that they have added several thousand dollars to the price of the vehicle. Told the General Manager that they false advertise their vehicles on Cargurus in order to get people to their dealership and then surprise the buyer will ridiculous fees that increase the price by thousands of dollars. A local heroin dealer has more scruples than these greedy dealerships. read more

Horrible communication between District manager and Supervisor of Salesperson(s). No communication between dealership and CarGuru. I was scheduled a appointment by one individual and when I went to the dealership, another individual told me that the car had been sold. In addition, another salesperson (very new to the position) showed me vehicles that was damaged, not to mention, the car that I was there for originally had damage on it and had no marking that it had been sold. I contacted the dealership when no one followed up with my concerns and was told by the district manager that ( due to computer problems that their inventory was not updated) and when I asked about the other vehicle that i wanted to know if they would repair the damages, he acted frustrated and wanted to know if I expected him to go look at that car. This is horrible customer service not to mention getting a customer to agree on monthly payment, down payment and financing of a car(s) that are damaged. read more
