Everything. The service alone from the employees. No one spoken to me or came to my car when I was in the service center. I had to walk in to the office space and ask for help with still two people not acknowledging me. Luckily another gentleman spoke to me and even yet he didn't sound very educated in what I needed help with. Glad he basically told me I couldn't leave my car cause they didn't have a loan car cause that's why I decided to leave and go else where. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car with these folks. I have to start this review by saying that Charles Shipp is a rockstar and was an absolute joy to work with! Please give this man a raise and a promotion!! I have never worked with another car salesperson as genuinely interested in me and what I wanted and needed more than Mr. Shipp. I came in with the intention to only test drive the cars that I had my eye on and check out other cars on my list. Mr. Shipp took the time to show me the three cars I was interested in, to discussed the pros and cons of each one based on what I was looking for, to work with my trade in (which I didn't bring with me but went to get because I knew I wanted to buy a car from Charles and Reliable Chevrolet). It might be ok in sales but the service department is a joke. Went to simply recalibrate my new sensors from which I bought at a GM dealer site for my wheels but I was told they didn't have enough battery. So naturally I take them off and end up getting brand new set of 4 reinstall them at a tire shop and they told me the exact same thing! Some bearded older guy and a tech from the back, they only tried two times and called it! Not to mention distracted and not really caring. So I went to a GMC dealership in garland and even tho it didn't work the first two times it worked on the third they didn't give up. Service department. 1 star for poor initiative. Out of Town buyers beware!!! This dealership is a HUGE scam. I contacted them at 9:01on 26 Dec 24 making an $62K (that did not include tax, title, and license) on a truck. I told them I had a trade and provided the VIN and photos. Daniel told me at 11:30 that he would have his manager contact me. The manager called at 12:05 and acted like Daniel hadn't passed on ANY information! I recapped my conversation with Daniel and the manager said $62K was too low. I told him we could pay $63-$64K, but he acted like I didn't even speak and we hung up. I texted Daniel and told him how the manager acted like he didn't know anything and Daniel texted back saying if we could pay $67K-$68K they could "pick things back up." I told him what website price was $66K!! At 1:14 he texted back and told me the $66K did NOT include tax, title, and license and that TX sales tax is 6.25%. I told him we would be paying tax in AR, and to that he replied "If financing, the dealership collects the TX taxes." Which of course makes him sound completely unqualified for his job! I clarified with him that we would only pay taxes where we register the vehicle and then I said "So to clarify...if we were to pay $67K for the truck, that would include taxes, title, and license fees?" and his exact response was "Correct! That would include everything, the whole kit and kaboodle!" This was at 1:57 PM!! I want to point out that $67K with TTL included is LESS money for the truck than the $62K I offered him at 9:01 AM!! I asked him to send me the numbers to include what they were going to give me for my trade. Then he asked me if I was looking at "consummating" this deal within 24 hours?" I said yes and he asked for my address for the quote at 2:20 PM. After waiting for a while, my husband and I got even more suspicious of Daniel and this dealership because they were very slow moving and of course did NOT sound like they had a clue what they were doing. At 4:48 PM Daniel called to tell me they just sold the truck!!! I contacted them at 9:00 and dealt with their nonsense ALL day for Daniel to call me at 4:48 to say it was sold! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! I pray to God the owner reads some of these reviews and makes some changes!! I would not want this low caliber of people representing my company! I had to sit here and watch the whole service department go pick up their food they had provided for them....2 hours after my appointment time. So I ask for an update at the 2.25 hour mark and was told 45 more minutes!! Why?? So they can finish eating??? We won't come back, won't recommend and will instead steer people away from here. One star is too many!!!! This is the worst buying experience I have ever had. Every aspect of this transaction was clouded with deceit. The salesperson stated that the interior protection plan that he sold us for $1000 included "professional cleaning" of the interior every 6 months. This led us to believe that we paid for detailing. What he didn't say is that the "professional cleaning" consisted of vacuuming the inside. He told us that the used vehicle we purchased was never in an accident. The Carfax report stated that it had been. The business manager knowingly sold us a Platinum Maintenance Protection Plan (MPP) on a vehicle that was not eligible. The MPP clearly states rental vehicles are ineligible. The Carfax report shows the vehicle originally was purchased by a rental car company. We were told the Platinum MPP would cover just about everything. When we brought the vehicle in for service approximately 1 year later, the service manger told us the repair was not covered because of "damage due to neglect." The "damage due to neglect" existed at time of purchase. We had the car in the shop for 2 weeks waiting on parts. After 2 weeks we pulled the car out and told them to call us when the parts were in. One month later the parts arrived. We returned the car for service just to find out that they ordered the wrong parts. Overall time elapsed for repair was 8 weeks. The repair was $2700. We were told that there is a 2 year warranty on parts and labor. The receipt did not state warranty period. I insisted the receipt be reprinted stating the warranty period. The reprint listed a 1 year warranty instead of the 2 year we were promised. To recap: * Misleading and false statements by sales person * Fraudulent behavior on behalf of the business manager to increase financed amount * Poor quality maintenance service resulting in increase repair time A more appropriate name if the dealership should be Detestable Chevrolet. read more

My car was here for 2 or 3 months waiting on parts for a recall. Just a few more months after the recall on the transmission control module I had lots of parts on the transmission go bad, need replaced. They didn't take responsibility for it so I had to pay, very expensive obviously... months later I'm still having problem after problem with my check engine light, my car is ONLY 80000 MILES MIND YOU. My husband and I went to reliable Chevrolet to purchase a 2014 rav 4. We had called ahead and let the salesman know that we were ready to purchase as we had done our research etc. Once there, we test drive the vehicle to ensure that it was ok. Once inside we filled out the credit application.... While that was processing, I went to the restroom. While I was gone, one of the associates, Blake, came to inform my husband that there was another couple looking at the vehicle as well. To which I asked the sales associate why they would be showing someone else a vehicle that we are currently purchasing. To which he had no response. After this they came back with the number sheet. They had added 2500$ to the advertised sticker price as well as 900$ for dealership add ons. I questioned why they were adding 2000$ to the advertised price and they could not give me answer, I also wanted to valve the dealer add ons as well. The associate then went back to discuss With his manager...after waiting a total of 4 hours during this process thinking the e car was ours.... Our sales associate Andy walked over and let us know that unless we were ready to sing the deal they were going to give the vehicle to the other people. After another 30 minutes while discussing..... Andy comes back to tell us that the gym has already sold the vehicle. This is absolute fraudulent actively and illegal. You can not add extra charges in to an already advertised price. Also not to mention wasting 4 hours of someone's day to sell the car out from under them. This was the absolute WORST experience that I have ever had dealing with anyone. He handled the insurance claim (no small task), got the approvals, estimates , ordered a rental car, and took care of the entire repair process in less than a week! The repair work was perfect! The body work was beautiful! It could not have been done more skillfully! It looked like a brand new car! The finishing detail cleanup was excellent ! Not a pleasing sales or follow up experience. We had an appointment to see a used car that was in stock. We made the 50-mile drive to be informed the salesman was on vacation, so we were assigned to Dominique Sapp. He was nice enough but that's about it. He spent over an hour looking for the keys and couldn't find them, so the Sales Manager suggested a different car which was fine since it was similar. After we agreed and spent another 2 hours waiting on finance plus the car was somewhere to be washed. We waited another hour. Dominique said he gave them a gas ticket to put gas in the car and his words were, "Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't" - Well, they didn't, but since we were 5 hours in we just wanted to leave. Problem 2: the plates arrived. I ask if they could mail them, and they said yes. Two weeks go by-nothing. I call and they say, "I'm sure they are still in the mail" Another week goes by so I try to contact Dominique Sapp twice to help with zero response. I finally decide to make the 50-mile drive and sure enough there they were in the service department. Dominique Sapp asked me to leave a 5 star review but I just cant. Car buying experience was terrible for my son. I would have walked away but he was just ready to purchase and be done looking. They did the whole "Let's add all the work that needs done to the final price" song and dance which we didn't pay. But the thing that made me the most angry was that when my son went to pick up the car they said "Oh we couldn't find the keys for it", so he got some bootleg key that doesn't have keyless entry and he only got one key. We went and picked it up only to find that it was still having the same issue. We returned it right back to the shop. They have had it now for the entire weekend and probably well into next week. They have never ONCE offered him a loaner, they don't call with updates, who knows what they are doing! I brought my car in early in the morning, and was told I would receive a call with information in the afternoon. When the service representative had not called by 4:00 pm, I called him. I was told they needed more time and would call me in the morning of the next day. The next day, I did not receive a call, so I called him at 12:00 noon. My car had been in the service area a day and a half at this point. I was told it might be the transmission, and my only recourse was to leave the car with them for 3-4 weeks before it could be fixed. The service representative said, "You won't find anyone around who can fix your car any sooner." I told them I wanted to pick up my car immediately, and he said he would have it ready in 15 minutes. I paid the $199.00 "diagnostic fee," and found my receipt from Reliable Chevrolet said " repair loose terminal connection." I took my car to a transmission specialist who checked it right away and said that there was nothing wrong with my transmission or any other part of the car. Apparently the loose wire was the problem, and your service representative wanted to keep my car for a month before "continuing to examine it for a transmission problem." This is the worst service I have received from Chevrolet, and I will never return to Reliable Chevrolet. Your service department is anything but "reliable!" read more

If I could leave a -10 I would. Here's what they did. So, I bought a 2020 Equinox from Reliable Chevrolet a few months ago. My ex-husband is a big-time car guy, so he found an Equinox at a dealership with everything - EVERYTHING!!! - on it, but that dealership wouldn't come down to the price I wanted. So, my ex referred me to Reliable Chevrolet because he had purchased a Corvette () from them, and he thought they would treat me right. And, Reliable said they could definitely help me get into the car I wanted (remember those words - "the car I wanted") for the price I wanted. But, in the end, they couldn't find one with the auto lift gate (which I would have liked to have because I have to load and unload my Mom's wheelchair when she goes to dialysis 3 times a week), but that wasn't a deal-breaker, as long as I was getting everything else. So, with all the conversations we had (sales person Mike Davis and my ex's friend, R.J. (I don't remember his last name)), in the end, I trusted and assumed I was getting "everything but the lift gate". I remember those were the exact words Mike Davis used. So, when the weather got cold a few weeks ago, and I reached for the heated seats - nothing. So, today I'm at the dealership for an oil change, and just now spoke with Mike Davis and the manager, Derek Hooser. I asked them to compensate me in some way for taking advantage of me. So, the manager said, "What can we do?" I said, "How about putting in a bad-ass sound system", and he literally laughed at me. I had handed him the window sticker, and he held it up and said, "Ms. Bayliss, this is a base vehicle." I nearly died!! WTF. I thought I was getting a "loaded" vehicle. (God, I hate these people. My family wonders why I stay angry. Don't even get me started on the crap my contractor did to my house (or didn't do) after the rebuild from the tornado.) He kept saying, "We want to help you." But,the final words were, "There's nothing we can do." Wow. AND, despite the fact that they barely remember me or the car I purchased, they somehow remembered the conversations of our negotiations, and how I was "only wanting the lift gate" and "you said nothing about wanting heated seats". What!?! What do the words "I want everything" mean? But, you KNOW I remember the conversations and negotiations, and what was said and what I heard and understood about what I wanted, and thought I was purchasing. I would have walked away in order to find what I wanted. This was my very first new car purchase, and they took from me my chance to get that I wanted. And then laughed at me. So, just beware. I understand it's my ignorance for not looking at the window sticker before I drove off. BUT, I TRUSTED these people. I never will again. And, lesson learned for the next time. I called a few days prior to my appointment and scheduled a 1:00 pm time to bring in my car. My first mistake was thinking that an appointment meant anything to the service department. I arrived a few minutes early and didn't depart until 3:45 pm. Oil Changes can be difficult apparently. Not only did it take almost 3 hours for an oil change but very few employees were wearing masks (August 21, 2020, Dallas had 69,000 active cases on this day). The few who had masks wore them around their neck like some kind of fashion statement. This isn't just one department either, I saw people in service, cashiers, and even older sales employees wearing these necklaces. Normally I understand there being a long wait at dealerships because they can be incredibly busy. Unfortunately, they don't get to use this excuse because there were literally 0 other customers. I have the pictures to prove it. Both sides of the waiting room were completely empty. "So what took so long?", you may be wondering. That makes two of us. No one could tell me why it took so long or when it would be done. When I first asked the cashier if she knew how long my car would take (1.5 hours in) she made a call and stated it should be ready soon. After another hour I went to the desk to ask if she had any update. "There are literally zero other customers I don't understand why it's taken 2.5 hours for an oil change", I said. "I'm not sure I just do the paperwork but they may be short on oil change guys in the back" she replied. My only thought is Even if there's only 1 employee doing oil changes there is only 1 customer asking for one. That doesn't make sense! After another phone call, she stated the guy would be around with my car in "4-5 minutes". "At last my eternity in this hell hole is over," I told my self. Think again! It took another 20 minutes for the paperwork to be brought to the cashier so she can take payment from me. When my service advisor Eddy (i think that's his name) finally came around to bring the paperwork I mentioned "about time. It's been 3 hours" his only response was "not quite" so I responded "fine 2 hours and 45 minutes". "I can understand if you're busy but there are ZERO customers here! It makes no sense!" I do have to say in the end he didn't charge me for the oil change but said "don't worry about it. It's on us this time" and walked out of the door without waiting for a response (he must have been too busy with the 0 other customers to wait for a response). I think no charge was an incentive to get me to come back next time but I have to tell you I wouldn't come back to this place if it was the last place on earth. In fact, I would rather knowingly have a botched circumcision than come back here. To the owners of the dealership. It's time to get some new employees. My grandmother turns 100 this year and is available, she hasn't changed oil before but it literally can't get any worse than it already is with your current employees. read more

This was by far the WORST car purchase experience ever. To begin, my friend and I rent cars out on Turo and our truck went from Tennessee to Texas on a road trip, unfortunately an issue came up and the renter took the Chevy truck to this dealership for repairs. They had fixed the system issue but told us that the negative battery cable the truck also needs is on backorder for a couple months. We did not want to fly to Texas and risk getting stuck somewhere on the way back because they said that the risk of the car shutting off is likely. We decided to trade in the truck for a 2021Audi they had in stock. It took multiple phone calls for us to get answers and someone to help us get the process started and follow up was almost non-existent unless we called ourselves (like they didnt want to sell a car), they ran our credit multiple times when we had a pre approval letter from our bank. When we finally flew out and got to the dealership, we were there for over 3 hours. Our sales person, TJ failed to tell us the car we are buying only has 1 key and that key is actually broken (the latch doesn't hold the key in place so it slides out of the fob). Then when they were prepping the car and we asked if they would fill the car with gas for us since it was on empty our sales person said he is not allowed to do that and the owner wont let him unless its a brand new car not a used vehicle. Being frustrated with all this and knowing that is not typically what a dealership does, I went in and talked to Henry one of the managers and told him about the gas situation and he said that he will take care of it and that he doesnt know why TJ told us that. The only positive experience was with Henry and the fact that he actually took care of the customer. read more

Even though it's a busy Saturday - they told me to bring it by and I could get a new battery (price is the same as I was going to pay at Auto Zone or Pep Boys.)I don't have to waste my time installing it myself just to save the $20 installation charge- they are honoring my Huffines coupon for free diagnostics and 10 percent off related repairs (which should about cover the installation charge). I can get the car washed and use the shuttle car if only they had the service on Saturday (why I gave 4 of 5 stars). Very pleasant service advisors here. The sales team of Walley and Josh are top notch. We've purchased 3 new conversion vans here and service them all here, usually with Eddie Martinez. read more

Usually I come here over many other locations closer to my house for your fantastic and timely service. Today was not the case. I was told it would be a 2 - 2 1/2 hour wait which I was prepared for. I showed up on time for my appointment for a 15k service. After 2 hours I overheard the lady at the desk in the waiting room state how the techs showed up late due to the holiday yesterday that's why things were taking so long. How is this acceptable? I showed up on time, why do they get to show up late? And I paid $118 for labor? Really? After hearing that I still continued to wait patiently for another 3 hours, totaling my time there to be 5 hours until the guy came and gave me the paperwork and key. I got to my car after paying nearly $400 (which I expected) to my glove box put on incorrectly. I grew a bit annoyed considering I've already waited so long and you'd think that my glove box would be put on correctly by people who do this for a living. The guy came and took it back to fix. And after it returned 15 mins later, STILL put on incorrectly. And to top it off, after it came back AGAIN, it was STILL put on incorrectly. But I've had it at that point and needed to leave after 5 1/2 hours there. So I will need to find someone to put my glove box on correctly another day. I understand things happen, and I am patient as we are all humans and make mistakes. But this to me seemed like laziness and slacking off by some of your team members. I should not have had to pay that much in labor fees for incomplete, untimely labor. read more

Review for Service Department: I've always come here for parts and this is probably the first time I've actually had service done by them. I arrive around 12:15 to see about getting an additional warranty service done to my truck. The cables for the lift gate are corroding and breaking so GM is covering them up to 12 years. I found this notice as I was going to replace the cables myself and bought the parts. So I go in and ask them if my vehicle is covered. They say "yes" and I ask if they can just refund me the cost for the parts and I'll give the parts to them to use. Mike says he doesn't know, perhaps I can just keep it and sell it on eBay, but he asks Robert and Robert says, "I'll take care of it." Mike prints up a ticket and Robert goes off and about 30 minutes before Robert came back. He said I could get a credit on my account and to go see the cashier. Since this was my personal vehicle, I wanted them to credit my card instead and the cashier said she wasn't able to and sent me to parts to have it refunded. Parts sends me back to the cashier and they refund it. I knew my request wasn't normal, but I didn't think it'd make this many waves. So I'm told it'll take about 30 minutes. 1:20: I sit down watching my truck 1:39: The tech comes out to drive my truck into the shop 1:59 when the truck drives out (not bad, if you ask me) 2:18, I'm back in my truck driving off. I seriously didn't think it'd take 2 hours from start to finish but it did. It wasn't exactly what I expected but it wasn't wildly different from what I was expecting too. I came here this morning for a service appointment for my Pontic G6 which was involved in the GM recall. This has been an ongoing issue for months, and GM finally got the parts in to fix the MULTIPLE problems that are potentially life-threatening in my vehicle. I had an appointment and when I pulled up to the service lot, there was already a long row of cars. Fifteen minutes later as I was still waiting, I decided that I didn't have the time (or the patience) to wait any longer, especially for a complimentary shuttle ride to work (since there were obviously numerous people to accommodate). Parts department is gd awful. I went to get a new Key FOB, and they couldnt get the ket cut correctly... twice. And they threw out my old key and had to pull it from the trash. I had to request a wet nap to clean my Key FOB off after the guy pulled it from the garbage bin and handed it straight to me. they just seem very laxed and irresponsible. The single worst car-buying experience of my life. Original salesman to whom I first spoke didn't bother to come in, so I was left with the newest guy there. I arrived at 11:45 am. Evidently this company could care less about the thousands of dollars their customers are spending. After walking from the train station and entering the office, it took at least 5 minutes before I was greeted. Asked for water, but told they don't do that because of Covid...um okay. While the two ladies next to me sipped their bottled water given to them by their salesman. So after trekking across greater Dallas via Uber, DART, and on foot, I was treated like an unexpected and uninvited guest. After agreeing to a price, and awaiting paperwork, I was left alone to wait for an hour. Finally after signing the paperwork, and sending a wire transfer for payment, I was told the window tinting was unfinished and since the wire would not pay out until the following morning, I couldn't take my car. No offer to help get me home, no offer to help me get back to collect my new car, just shown to the door. A $50 Uber ride home during rush hour, and now I get the joy of another trek to Richardson to pick up the car I spent thousands on. Reliable Chevrolet is a den of useless, lazy, impolite, clueless slugs that have zero respect for customers. Management is obviously worthless. I wouldn't recommend this dealership at all the way they conduct business is very shady I agreed on a deal with Torrin Taylor and we shook hands and I signed and all but there was another couple there looking at the same car that I had arrived first and decided to proceed to get and after a hour of waiting I see the same couple that got turned away walk back in and he comes to me and say you need a bigger down payment after we already agreed on terms and I signed as well as them running my credit a million times, got my keys and simply walked out never to return again. read more

Went in to look at the Colorado and decided that was the truck I wanted. I decided to put $500 down to order the truck and they told me it would be refunded if I thought the truck was taking too long to get produced and delivered. After 12 weeks of me chasing down status and getting nothing, I cancelled the order. Sales rep said he would work on refund. After two weeks, pinged him and he said "let me check". No further communication and no refund. I ended up going to a dealer in Arlington and buying a much more expensive vehicle literally because I got no status and literally no communication from this dealership. I may have done service there or even purchased the second vehicle I'm looking at if they showed any sense of professionalism. Do not go there. I'll take the $500 loss and lesson learned. first i called to see if my key warranty was going to cover me getting a new fob. I was told by the warranty company that Reliable Chevrolet should of giving me 2 sets of keys when i purchased the vehicle. I called my sales person Mike and he told me to talk to service. So i spoke with service at first he told me i did not have a warranty i told him yes i did. So then he looked it up again and found my warranty. He set me up an appointment for a week later with Duy. We brought my car in and were told that they did not have a key fob for my car and that they would have to order one. Why did they not do that prior. They had a whole week to take care of that. I drove from Garland to get my key. My husband told them that he would just leave my car there and he got an oil change and some other work done on it. I had to drive to Richardson from Garland to pick up my husband. I just do not understand if they knew we were coming in for a key a week prior and they knew what kind of car why did they not ask me what kind of key fob i had. Waste of our time. 2022 update Okay update. Our GMC engine went out. We traded it in for a Honda. AC wasnt working so before we bought it had them fix it. 3 months later same problem. Meantime.. we noticed 3 lugnuts missing on front passenger tire and 4 missing on rear passenger tire. This could of seriously injuries us and/ or the car. Sent an email letting them know about the lugnuts. No response. By the way lugnuts were in the glove compartment box. I guess someone was putting the lug nut locks on went to lunch and forgot. Took my car back to service to have ac looked at and get oil change. Drop off Thursday night. Called Friday evening service advisor left message. Called Saturday left message. Finally about 2PM on Saturday get call back. Cant fix car need to take it to a Honda dealership. Pick it up Saturday at closing they had my car for 2 days and I still did not get an oil change. This review is specifically targeted at those with sportscars who would consider taking their vehicle to Reliable Chevrolet for service. In short, DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE. I took my 2008 Z06 in for a simple oil change, I normally do these things myself and for the very reason I experienced at this dealerships service department. After waiting 2 hours my oil change was completed, and I proceeded to pay and head to my car to leave. Despite a 2 hour wait, I got in my car to find the oil temperature was at an extremely high 200 degrees + (even after warming up, and crusing on the highway it normally sits around 160-180). I then noticed that the items I had left in my passenger seat were moved to the rear hatch, which seemed odd. I then checked the odometer, and oddly it was 4-5 miles higher than when I arrived at the dealership and sure enough I checked the tickets check in mileage to find that my check in mileage was 56,787 and currently it sat at 56,791 miles. An added 4 miles for an oil change. Needless to say, it seemed the tech thought they had the right to take my car for a joy ride with a friend. After noticing these things, I called back and asked for the service manager (I had at this point creeped out of the lot, and was headed home in 5 o'clock traffic and wasn't in the mood to return). I explained to him everything, I specifically said I was not interested in a refund or anything of that sort and simply informing him of what his techs had done with my property. He was receptive, and apologetic. At that point, that is ultimately all I was interested in doing, for me its simple they lost my business. Unfortunately, that is not where this ends. The next morning I got in my car to go to work, and notice the power steering felt a little funny but proceeded to make my 2 mile drive to work. After work that day, I got in my car and the power steering was worse, and starting to make a whining noise. So I immediately headed back to Reliable Chevrolet to inform them of the issue. Back story on this specific car, they have a secondary high pressure power steering hose for high RPM aggressive driving. Two different service managers were present, I explained what happened the previous day. One of them EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED HEARING THE TECHS TAKE MY CAR FOR A JOY RIDE THE PREVIOUS DAY FROM HIS OFFICE. But hey, at least they now knew I was not bullshitting them right? Sweet. They offered to take the car in immediately, and take a look at it. Sure enough, the high pressure power steering hose was leaking like a faucet and my power steering reservoir was all but empty. The 3rd service manager (not the one I called, nor the one who acknowledged my car being beat on by an employee) then asked me if I would like to leave it, and he'd get me a quote. A quote? I asked him then if he was assuming his techs did not cause the damage to my vehicle. He stated there were no signs of physical damage, which I agreed with. However, the power steering is pulley driven and therefore the load increases as engine RPM increases. So physical damage would have nothing to do with the techs over revving the engine and causing the power steering to overload its high pressure hose, and potentially causing it to bust. He even acknowledged prior that the techs had not noticed it leaking when they performed the oil change. Ultimately they refused to cover the damages, and tried to quote me $800 for the repair. They did not offer the part at cost, they didn't even offer to cover labor. They offered me the full price of repair, for something their techs had clearly inflicted. Extremely disappointing to say the least, especially as a previous Chevrolet employee and seeing these incidents first hand. My service manager would have been furious with an employee for such reckless behavior, and possibly even fired him or taken the damages out of his paycheck. It appears Reliable Chevrolet does not share this level of concern for their customers property, or holding their techs accountable for their behavior. read more

As Berkshire Hathaway Automotive is a big faceless "empire" (their word in the business description)of automobile dealerships, it is little wonder that this dealership is so poorly operated, and explains why it has a 2+ rating on a scale of 5. They are the emperors, and customers are the serfs. I have brought many vehicles here for servicing over the years, but my regular service contact retired because their way of doing business. I should have followed his lead. All of the previous posts re poor communication, overcharging, is what I experienced and I echo that. I would recommend Huffines Chevrolet In Plano for your service needs. I dropped my 2019 SUV, with 29,000 miles, off at the agreed upon 7:00 am for the standard 30,000 mile service. I was told by Lynn Cordell that it would be ready before noon. No calls regarding a delay, so I called at 1:00. No Lynn but I was told I would get a call back. At 1:30 I called, got Lynn who explained they closed at 3:00 and if I would get there at 2:45 it would be ready. He said they were short staffed and that's why it was taking longer. I shared with Lynn when I finally picked up my vehicle that their reviews are horrible for the very same reasons I experienced. He again offered the short staffing excuse, which he said he was aware of 2 hours after my drop off. I offered that he and his colleagues could have picked up the phone and called. (Note: when I dropped off my vehicle there wa one other customer; when I picked it up there was one other customer). They have no new cars to sell due to computer chips, and very few used cars. I'm guessing they cut back staff but keep taking appointments and are told not to mention staffing until you have the customers cars. Here is a list of Berkshire Hathaway Automotive dealerships. My husband and I were very impressed with Reliable Chevrolet. Our family is growing and we needed a bigger car, we had been searching for 6 months (since January) and got ripped off a number of times. Because of this we came into Reliable a little skeptical but as soon as we came in contact with them we were pleasantly surprised. Our first sales guy remembered my husbands name from just a brief 2 minute phone conversation. He helped us find what we were looking for, and since the car had just been brought in they were fixing it up and detailing it, however they still let us take a look at it even though we couldn't test drive it right away. We came back a few hours later to test drive it when it was ready. We knew this was the car for us. Everything else went very smoothly and they didn't try and charge us way more than their asking price (which they had done to us at other dealerships). In fact, theses guys went above and beyond to make sure our car was perfect, including hiring outside carpet cleaners to come in and dye our carpets. They cleaned our headlights, and even threw in a brand new battery. Needless to say we were very impressed and are definitely coming back in the future when it's time for another car. read more
