This business is a shark tank. Do not go here as the managers are truly money hungry, heartless, and horrible animals. I went here a few weeks ago with my wife and kids and was met in the parking lot by an okay salesman. We found a vehicle we were interested in and he took us into a big bay office area with many desks. We sat in one of the areas, no walls. The salesman took our information then gave it to the manager(s). The managers had a glass window room across the bay where they, the managers not the salesman, kept looking back at us and laughing, doing this repeatedly. This was definitely a shark tank. After 45 minutes of waiting there and watching this aweful unprofessional fiasco. A manager came out and gave us an offier of over 22% on a loan and over $800 of fees on top of that. We knew we had a few bumps in our credit, but we were not that bad. We immediately got up and started walking out. The manager then proceeded to say, we can do better. He should of done better the first time, the crooks. So we went to The Thompson dealership on Independence, where we were met by a polite salesman, a polite and professional loan person, as well as all the other workers at the dealership being polite and professional. We were able to buy a great vehicle with a loan under 9 %, and all the fees were under $199. Our vehicle also has a great warranty. The Thompson brothers are definitely doing something right. As for Reliable Chevrolet, do not ever go there on South Campbell, they are money hungry sharks. read more

Well the experience was good at first....then I tried calling and couldn't get even my sales person to return a call. I still went ahead and got the car.....but I have had it in the shop 2x already. Oh I have owned it for 3 weeks. When I drove off the lot the gas light came on....barely made it to a gas station. I could keep going on how dumb some of the employees are just from speaking to them they didn't understand me when I said, "the guy who is supposed to bring my wife the loaner needs to bring my wife the car then pick up our car from the spot it was broken down at" "uhh I don't understand here is the guys cell" I hate leaving bad reviews but come on man. read more

We took our Jeep Liberty to get a tire patched in May. After driving the next day our tire started making a horrible noise. We took the Jeep back in on a Monday early in the morning. We called at 2pm and after getting "transferred" and passed to every employee in the building we learned that no one had looked at the jeep (but would soon). We called back later and was told two service techs looked at it and couldn't find the problem. They said they would try a third opinion. We drove past the shop and saw our jeep at the front of the dealership. We decided to take it somewhere else. We took it to Christian Brother(wonderful! go there instead) and they were able to find the problem right away. Turns out the lug nuts were not screwed on properly. This is a mistake that the service department made when they fixed our tire. They were also unable to identify the problem (which should have been an easy fix). I contacted customer service and received an email from the General Manager promising to send me a refund check after Memorial day (it is now almost July). A refund never came. Reliable continues to call me and ask me if I have any needs. When I asked about my refund I was transferred to "service" where no one answered. This is one of many bad experiences we have had at this location. **Edit After contacting this company again we were able to pick up our refund at the shop. read more

It was a pleasure, with no pressure, I found the truck I wanted, It was an advertised unit so we didn't have to negotiate price. Overall it was the best experience I have had buying a new vehicle. Manny Hernandez in new cars sales is excellent. He was a no pressure salesman with a great personality. He never made my wife and I feel uncomfortable. He was real congenial and kind to us and gave us a great deal on our new Spark. Three stars is because of George in Finance. Can't just rate Manny or he would get 5 stars. George did a lot of things we came to find out when our paperwork arrived in the mail. He never gave us a quote on a service plan for oil changes that we asked for. He talked us out of the service plan. He never disclosed the price of a protection plan that we came to find out was an extra 1035.00 that we never asked for. He covered up all information when signing making my wife and I believe we were signing for the car only not extra stuff we never asked for. And he never gave my the option to pick my payment due date and never confirmed the monthly payment either. Bad, Bad feeling we have now and we did call and email and so far no reply. Shame on them for making our experience an overall bad one. Manny however was the only bright part of our experience. We commend Manny Hernandez for his excellent job. G and C Jones read more

To confirm my complaint just read some of the other upset customers who only left a one star (POOR RATING) like Tim S. my complaint is exactly the same. I have a set scheduled appointment for something easy like an oil change or to have one hose replaced and end up sitting in the waiting area for at least 3 hours as I see other customers who arrived an hour after I did have their name called and leave happy only after waiting for 35 minutes. This has happened at least 9 times, I'm sure all of my service visits have been logged and documented within their system as proof. Arrival time 12:00 p.m. hose replacement check out time 2:55 p.m. - for something any State Licensed Master Mechanic can do in 15 minutes. Why? I know they have more than one mechanic working every time I go there because I witness customer after customer after customer have their name called and they leave, so 8 to 15 cars and trucks have been completely finished before they even notice my car has been sitting there for over 2 hours? Debbie - the service desk manager is nice and she is great with the customers, but I wonder who is in the garage out back? Do they have a couple of monkeys and a janitor working on the cars? If you want to feel like you're not worth anything and like you're invisible, take your car or truck to Reliable Chevy because there is a really good chance you can count on spending your entire day sitting in the waiting area, don't believe me or any of the other numerous upset dissatisfied customers? I mistakenly thought I was going to get a free oil change. Turns out that service ended after so many miles. I take the blame for not understanding that. However, I did discuss the situation with the tech and he told me, yes, the oil change would be free. When I came back to get the car I had to pay. It should have been made clear to me that I was going to be paying for the oil change before I received it. I might have made a decision to seek out a cheaper service option. Instead, I was forced to pay for the service because it had already been given. No one bothered to try and address this situation beyond "sorry." Had someone actually said. "you're a valued customer here's what we can do to help." I would not have had a problem. I don't plan to come back for service or to seek out a new car. read more

Took off work, pulled my grandson out of school and drove to Springfield in the pouring down rain. Got there, truck was on loan. I have been unfortunate enough to have to deal with this place. My daughter & her husband are now having to deal with them. They bought an extended warrenty with their vehicle and are now taking it back out for the 7th time due to problems. It is pre-owned; I get that, but their "service" dept mechanics apparently don't have the skills, knowledge, or the desire to fully repair the vehicle. When we 1st bought our truck it was in 3 times for detailing and replacement parts. All 3 times we asked them to check the tires and each time they failed to do so. I had to get the new truck sales manager to get my tires inflated. This time we had a oil change and tire rotation. When the vehicle was returned no tire rotation was done. The service manager then tried to put the bull on thick telling us they have a machine that rotates the tires without touching the hubs or tires. Dam lazy people are getting paid to do nothing! read more

Had a recall issue and figured I'd take care of another problem I had going on with a sensor warning at the same time. Took it in at night and did the key drop off, had a voicemail with a total the next day and ok'd the fix. When I showed up to get my car the total was over a hundred dollars over what the message had said. I told the woman handling it I had a voicemail with the total charges and she didn't want to hear it. The guy next to her (wish I could've gotten his name...maybe mid 40s, this was in 2013) leaned over and said "Charge him the full price on the recall part if he doesn't want to pay". I felt like I was the professional and they were the loud voiced out of control teenagers. I've never been so held hostage in my life. I asked to talk to a manager and they said no. They were just going to keep my car if I didn't pay up their random total without hearing my side. It's called extortion. I'm sure there are some great kids busting their humps fixing things back there, but if management lets these kind of things happen then stay away. Far away. read more

Horrible service, Chevy 2012 Cruze has too may recalls, not a safe and sound car. I brought my vehicle to Reliable on 3 separate occasions, the service department could not fix my car correctly, the Cruze had about 4 or more safety recalls, the major one was the transmission that slips. I received a letter from Chevy a month earlier before taking the car in for the well known transmission issues, I had called in to schedule my service appointment many weeks in advance, thinking my car would be in good hands, I was very wrong, I cannot trust the service department on any services provided here, I say this because after I was told the first time I brought in my car, a week later after I picked up my car the transmissions starts slipping again, I called the dealership to make a complaint, a few days later I take the car in again for the same complaints, then I picked up my car again a week later or so, I had a rebuilt transmission performed on the same vehicle that second time, who in their right mind that is trained and certified missed that the first time? see my point? oh and it gets worse, I get treated by Debbie the service advisor like I'm crazy by making me feel its all in my head. I do have too many service invoices from 1 month with this same vehicle compared to another branded vehicle with 100,00 miles or greater, my car only had about 34,000 miles when I started bringing it in for the recalls, it only has 36,200 miles, catch my drift ? I will be getting in contact with the Better Business bureau and file a complaint on Chevy and its dealership after the holidays. I am also going to get the car re-inspected by another ASE Certified facility. this is not over by all means. read more

Bought my car 8/14, car in the shop by the end of the month then every 3 months since then, never seem to be able to repair a leak on my vehicle then "found " the issue and after 3 days of picking it up I was stranded on the side of the road because they didn't do the job correctly, I do not recommend them at all and will drive to Ozark or Republic for my repairs from now on! read more

Come to find out the motor had been changed and nothing on the car fax and did not learn this until 6th time in dealership for numerous problems.. they never offered to make things right or offer me a different truck of same value. all they care about it money. I will never recommend Reliable to anyone. I have had nothing but problems. I had a problem with my shifter and took it in to be serviced after fixing my sifter I found greasy foot prints on my brand new floor mats and scratches all over my console, dash, and shifter. Took it back to them and they said they would fix it. Got it back a few days later with new scratches and no floor mat...again they said they would fix it.....same story....finally talked with the manager and he personally had this fixed. It took several weeks for this problem to be solved. Plus just found out they no longer give loaner vehicles when you get your oil changed cant wait for the several hour wait. I wish I would have bought a car some where else..... read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. Last Saturday we took my daughters car in due to a brake line issue because she could not safely make it to Marshfield where the car was purchased and was told it wasn't covered under warranty and the tore the splash guard off the lower front of the car,because it was supposedly hanging down. The splash guard was perfectly fine when it went in and when we were told it would cost another $450 on top of the $132 it already cost we refused to let them touch it and called Marshfield Chevrolet where the car was purchased 10 months ago and they towed it there at no charge and fixed the original brake issue that was under warranty. Reliable lied to us in every aspect and when we called to try to get our $132 at least partially refunded we were told Marshfield fixed it because they felt sorry for us. After many years of dealing with General Motors I would not recommend Reliable Chevrolet to no one. I too do not believe it deserves any stars. Truly the worst service department I have ever had to deal with. read more

Turns out it was a loaner vehicle. He won't be getting a loaner car again. So I have to say the problem is resolved. Great work! The service Department is a joke. Where do I begin with this. Hmmm, brought my car in to them thinking they could diagnose the problem, told them from the start I did not want to put that much money into my 1999 Saturn. So they tell me it's the Ignition control Module and 2 coils. Funny thing is that I replaced that same parts 2 and 1/2 years ago and even called the place I had it repaired to verify that they were indeed replaced. And prior to bringing it to Reliable, I had a local mechanic check the car out and he said he had already put on a brand new ignition control module and two coils to rule out that was not the issue, so he removed them from my car, then he tested my fuel pump to see if that was the culprit, he told me it had pressure so that was probably not it, and he did other test's to rule that out.. So what are the chances of a 2 and 1/2 year old Ignition Control Module and coils going out, and then another mechanic put the same parts on and then ruled that out. ( maybe one in a million ) so the new parts he put on were faulty, I don't think so. So reliable tells me it's $675.00 repair, funny when I had it done it was $375.00 for the same parts. So then after a few more days of it sitting there they now informed me it needed a fuel pump, not a cheap fix, I told Ryan in service that I didn't even want to spend the $675.00 on the one repair let alone this new so called problem. So Ryan then tells me he will talk to the service department Manager and see what he could do. So he told me they would just charge me for the part and not the labor, otherwise the car will not run. So they said they would charge me $1000.00 dollars even, which isn't bad for those parts and Labor but I don't think I even needed them, the story get's way better !!!! So I agree to spend the $1000.00 to fix it. I go to pick up my car, it barely started and it didn't even make it down the driveway to Campbell and it died. What a joke. So then they tell me they will look into it. I get a call back a few days later and one of the coils they put on was bad. So they replaced that, went to pick it up, drove it home, the next day I took it out to drive and it barely ran. So I had it towed back another time, and left it again. They told me it was a fouled spark plug and now I should get new plugs and wires. ARE YOU F$%% KIDDING ME what is this stooge mechanic's ??? That's one of the first thing's you check when diagnosing a car, and my local guy said they would need to be replaced sometime but it was not a must fix right now issue, so I find this hard to believe !!! So now I have my car running, but it is still hesitating ( hence the same original problem ) as when I brought it in but they did get it running . And the real frosting on the cake was looking at my engine block and they forgot to put the wing nut's on to hold the spark plug boards in place tightly and one of the board's was even upside down. THIS IS A JOKE !!! I had to go back again. And mind you I still have the same problem.... THESE PEOPLE ARE IDIOT"S I am going to KY3 news, and I will be contacting the Attorney General in MO and General motors Corporate to report these people. THIS IS A SHAM !!! These people are either total idiots or crook's. I'm not even sure.... And little do they know, that I have connections in radio as I used to be a DJ in my home town. Maybe I haven't visited many car dealerships, but I had no idea what "high pressure sales" meant until I went to the Big Lot. First, you have 6-8 salesmen (all men, I noticed) standing outside and eyeing you like a piece of meat as you drive around. Then one breaks from the pack to literally follow your car. I should have never rolled down the window. Next thing we knew, we were sitting in a cubicle getting a sales pitch. We told him we weren't going to buy that day, but that didn't turn him off. After a bunch of "let me check with my manager" breaks, where he tried to get the interest rate and payment lowered, he finally realized we were serious about not purchasing that day, so he left to "tell his manager". Oh, but the manager (who wears his sunglasses at night...and a leather jacket) had to come speak to us personally, and that's where the high pressure came in. He was highly offended that we weren't going to buy that night. He finally wrote some figures down on a piece of paper that actually looked pretty decent, not that that was going to change our minds, and drilled us on how, if the car and the price were what we wanted, we could refuse his offer. He was RELENTLESS!! Eventually, HE realized he was wasting his time, so he went "to get something" and brought back one of the head honchos, who played the role of good cop quite nicely (it helped that he looked like Eugene Levy), but his magic didn't work, either. We refused to buy a car that night. I asked if I could take the piece of paper with the figures on it home, and sunglass-man said sure, he'd make a copy. A bit later he comes back and says, "Awww, you guys know what's on that paper, you don't need a copy." WTF?!?! I left that building feeling like I had just been interrogated by the FBI. I almost felt like I'd been violated in some way, like I needed a shower. Avoid this place where money comes before honor. read more

Bought my corvette at reliable last December. General rule of thumb I NEVER buy add ons (service contracts, etc) they are not worth it. Plus the mark up on those is ASTRONOMICAL ! So... After some negotiating we purchased several. Long story short, when we bought these we were NEVER told skylink was NOT eligible to be cancelled. So....we trade off vette and lo and behold...we have to eat $1410.00 we paid for skylink. So...I complained b/c we were NEVER told we could not cancel! Well I get a letter saying " I signed contract etc. yes... We obviously did but... We were hearded thru there like elephants and one paper after another was placed in front of us to sign...(this is your Svc contract.. Sign here, this is your maintenance contract... Sign here.. This is for skylink...sign here..Etc.). We were NEVER told we could not cancel! Of course, "audio is purged after 30 days so we are just SOL. These people are CROOKS! Plain and simple and I would not take my dog there! And Mercedes service was going to charge me $800 + to fix my window. Said I needed motor AND regulator to fix it. Took it to Joplin.....$50.00 fixed it. A clip had come off. I will NEVER spend another cent in that thieving place and I strongly urge everyone else to go elsewhere! read more

This dealership looks nice, but is most a bit sneaky and does not follow through with their words. I would recommend to anyone to travel over to Marshfield right away and avoid these liars at all costs. If we had been rich enough to avoid doing business with them by getting out of our loan, we would of. They sold us two vehicles, supposed program type cars, charged an extra 900 dollars each car to get them in like new condition--yet within 1 month we were due for oil changes and had a bad tire-not covered to handle. We have yet to receive our extra key and have to wait every single time for 2 hours for service. They brag about having cars,etc. for you to use have so you can get things done while you wait-yet never have one available. We requested our license and tag be included in our loans and they screwed that up so bad we ended up having to come up with it basically on our own because they didn't and wouldn't figure right. All the extra's they sell you...they don't hold up to so don't by the extra warranties because they are only good with them and then they find ways to not cover it. The salesmen who sold us the two cars..one quit right after and the other is always too busy to talk. The loan officer played us good too, he screwed up the loan, never got us our other key and has done nothing to make it better. We are stuck with them for 6 years. but will never ever suggest or use them again. We should of went to Marshfield to buy our cars and will from here on out cause I hear they are honest true people who do not scam a soul. Honest goes alot farther than quick fix trickery, Horrible place...horrible. TERRIBLE. The car salesman was extremely pushy about making the sale. He wanted us to purchase a vehicle that we just took a first look at 30 mins earlier. Im glad I did not pull through with this. The manager was very rude about a trade in we had and the value. We were told we were not the first ones to complain about this particular employee. After they did apologize but then they harassed my phone by calling it at least 6 more times after we left the lot that day apologizing for what happened and for us to come back to the lot for a re evaluation of our vehicle. At this point we were so fed up with the phone calls and what had happened at the lot we told them we would come back just to get them to stop calling. So recap.....pushy salesman....rude manager....harassing phone calls. A big 1 star in my book. It was a great learning experience. Never to put up with a pushy car salesman!!!! read more

This is for the service department. We have a Chevy HHR and the check engine light was on, and we took in to have it checked out. 6 times in was in there and they never fixed it. They changed sensors and everything and even went as far as changing the wiring harness. Still not fixed. I told them it was not the engine but the transmission. No one would listen. Finally I convinced them to look at the Transmission and they found a seal leaking. Finally got that one fixed. My Brand New work van was very herky jerky when accelerating. Took it in and they said that was the way it was supposed to be. Stupid. Finally took it in for another light (traction under wet condition light) and had them look at the acceleration again and they found it had an outdated software package in it. They updated it and now it is much better. As for the other light, well they said it was a sensor. Took it home and the next day the light comes back on again. Still not fixed. Not going back. An airbag recall indicated that I needed to visit a GM service dealer. I scheduled an appointment online, which was impressively responsive. I dropped my car off at the indicated time ~10:00. The person online and the recall letter indicated it was a fairly quick repair. I waited all day with no call and finally went in to pick up the car because I couldn't leave it overnight. It turns out they had to order a part. They say they will order and call me back in a few days. A week later, I call them and schedule another morning appointment. Again, my car waits at the dealer all day until I go in and have to pick it up. Again, it wasn't fixed. They ask me to reschedule, and as my options for the recall are limited, I bring the car back the next morning. It sits there all day. I call in the early afternoon, and they just then 'get it in.' They fixed the airbag, but didn't detail the car (they said they would detail it for free as an apology for the three wasted days), and now the tire air pressure warning light stays on as a result of the airbag being messed with. Awful experience. The people I interacted with were fine, but unable to deliver on appointments and unable to create an experience even beginning to approach fine. If the dealership weren't located on a major road, I would be happy to never have to think of this experience again. I definitely would not recommend this dealer for any service, as they were completely unable to keep appointments, communicate about delays (which happen and can't all be controlled), or do work without flaws. read more

This Service Department is not a good one to deal with. I never used the Service Department until was overcharged on car loan and given a credit I had to use at Company - rip off second time. Then only place I really could use it was for oil changes - what a nightmare. Every time I have had to fight to keep from being overcharged. Today I went in for a $ 26.95 oil change - signed papers and low and behold while in bathroom husband was asked if he wanted Castrol Oil. No one told him it would cost more. After an 1 - less than last time of 2 1/2 hours - we were told car was ready and cost was $ 55. I got into it with person and they were going to give us a $ 10 discount - still $ 45 - no way - we agreed to a $ 26.95 oil change plus one extra quart of oil. So we leave to discover that they put the wrong weight of oil in. What we were given was 10 W 30 and our van is use only 5 W 30 - we had to go back and have oil changed again. This time took 1/2 hour - and I was told they did not want me to come back ever - take my service elsewhere by the Manager of Service Dept., Kyle Goodwin. I called to complain and was treated like crap by head of Reliable so getting ready to file complaints everywhere I can. read more
