Wow! This is not a place to relax at while getting a massage. My sister and I came today because she insisted this was a great place. So after years without going for a massage due to Covid, I decided to get a much needed massage. I paid for a 1-hour full body reflexology massage and my sister paid for a 1-hour table massage (or whatever it's called). The lady who might be the owner, covers the front desk, answers all phone calls, greets incoming customers, and oversees the cash register decided to be the one who would do my massage. But during less than 20 minutes of her "massaging me", she received phone calls and text messages, walked away to greet customers who came in, and kept speaking to the other man that works here while he was massaging my sister. Needless to say these interruptions caused her to take time away from what I paid for and lose her focus on what she was supposed to be massaging (she did not massage any of my fingers on right hand before moving to my feet). This is not an ideal way of making your customers feel relaxed. I came here to be relaxed and feel good during my short visit, but due to all of the interruptions and lack of pressure from her while massaging me and lack of lotion/oil to make the massage smoother while rubbing her skin against mine (felt like minor rug burns when she actually applied a little pressure) I started to feel upset and tense. I decided to speak up and ask her to just stop the massage because I wasn't able to relax and enjoy what I came in for. She seemed very confused as to why, I told her due to the amount of interruptions I cannot relax and enjoy what I paid for. I appreciate that she honored my request to refund me for the remaining time I had paid for; but I will NEVER return to this establishment again, I will stick to another location that's 10 minutes away. I don't mind paying the prices they have here, that was not the issue by any means, I didn't get the experience I paid for. Maybe others will have better luck here, but I know for certain this is not a place I recommend and I know for a fact there are many options nearby to check out instead. The massage was actually really good. I had a lady who was perfect on pressure. My last 15 mins of the massage the owner starts arguing with her staff and they were in and out of the back room which was noisy. You could hear it over the music it was intense! When it was over I asked the owner why was there so much noise, it was really bad to be able to relax. She ignored me and asked if I had a customer loyalty card. I said no thank you. I told the masseuse thank you gave her my $25 and walked out. I got into my car and about 15 seconds later the owners comes running out and screaming and stands behind my car. I'm like what the hell is going on?! I opened my car and got out and she yells you didn't pay!! In shock I look at the masseuse who is HOLDING the money I gave her and without a word she opens her palm and her face said it all. She looked embarrassed as she should've been so I didn't say anything... I was about to get back in my car then the owner starts yelling at her in their language pushing her back towards the door and without an apology then says to me "You pay $25 where's the tip" I told her the argument she had with her staff caused a terrible massage experience, she didn't acknowledge my question about it, so if she wanted me to tip, tip her from my PAID services. After a 10 hour day on my feet this place was absolute heaven! I called late to see availability, possibly the next day but they were so kind and took me right away even though my appointment went in to well past closing. The receptionist was friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was very soothing, dimly lit and relaxing music. John has the most amazing hands! STAY AWAY!!! Today my wife suggested we get massages. We decided to stop by this place because we saw it on our way to another location we get massages from. The woman at the front desk asked us which service we wanted and after calculating for 2 she curtly said "pay up front" my wife paid the $80 with a $100 bill. After receiving a $20 for change we asked her to break the bill she said she would do it after. I though that was strange. When my massage began I felt as if the lady doing the massage was in a rush which is strange for a one hour massage. My wife told me in Spanish she also felt rushed. After a while the woman conducting my massage slowed and I felt much better but I could here my wife breathing as if in discomfort and she asked for more lotion twice saying his hands were very rough! The man giving her a massage wasn't very responsive and the second time she requested the woman from the front desk started speaking with him in a language we could not understand. Soon after as the woman from the front desk passed by, my wife informed the woman that the front desk that the mans nails were too long and he was digging them into her skin and scratching her. She asked if someone else could finish the massage and she told my wife there was no one else. I was surprised because after someone says they are being scratched you would think she would at least get an apology. Shortly after however they were speaking again and I noticed that the front desk woman took over the service fro my wife. Once the massages were complete we were walking out and they all but had there hands out in expectation of a tip. I knew with the service my wife received that was not happening. But the lady who'd given my massage was pleasant and I planned to tip her but I had no cash. As we were walking out my wife received a call and walked out ahead of me. I told the lady to hold on and caught my wife outside and asked her for cash so I could tip. Of course she didn't want to but as I was explaining to her that the lady who gave me a massage at least deserved a tip. The front desk woman comes storming out and yells "give us our tip, you give us our tip!!!" I am shocked by this and my wife just turns and walks away. Then the lady starts yelling "F" YOU!!! You are cheap!!! Get the "F" out of here!!! Mind you there are folks eating a few doors down with their whole family watching this. I go back to the lady and I told her that we already PAID for the service! And after the man scratches and rough handled my wife, she shouldn't have the nerve to demand a tip!!! She said again "F" you get out of here, you can't afford a massage! The woman was in full RAGE as if we hadn't given her $80 dollars to begin with. The lady who had given me my massage actually started telling her to calm down. I told that lady that I was going to tip her but the hysteria this woman was in I wasn't going to give them another dime or another minute of my time. We got the hell out of there! Second, they almost didn't take the coupon that was printed in the MoVal magazine. Third, it's only $5.00 off. Fourth; and foremost; I asked for deep tissue, she was massaging like she was just rubbing the lotion in, I asked her to for more pressure but she really didn't understand. I also wanted work done on my neck and she didn't even didn't even touch it, even though I showed her several times. Totally waste of my money. Unless you just want a rub down don't go there. My wife and I came here on a Thursday night; around 8pm. We've been PLENTY of reflexology places, regular massage places and even pain management massages. The folks were VERY nice and polite, and they had a little dog that was adorable. BUT that's where anything good ends. The massage included no pressure whatsoever, no working of the shoulder muscles, and they have you lay at an awkward angle that pushes your hips up too high and GIVES you a backache. I went in cause the price for a foot massage is cheaper than back home in Orange County. The first thing that threw me off is that they wanted me to tip up front. I don't mind paying for my service prior, but she wanted the tip right away. I told her I wasn't going to do that and she was shook. The massage was nice. An issue I faced was that the towel put over me was quite small and i got cold while she was doing my feet. Other places I've been to either have a bigger towel or a sheet. She then answers the phone through an ear piece twice while doing my feet and once while doing my back. So I'm laying on my stomach trying to relax, and she is talking in my ear. It's hard to relax when you have someone giving you massage while on the phone. Already irritated, I tip her and she gives me this unsatisfied look as if she's the one offended. This is why I wasn't going to tip up front. The service would've been better if she was chatting while giving me a massage. Also, she wouldn't stop talking to the other dude. I have no expertise in this field but I'm confident in guessing that time keeping is solely in the hands of the staff and not the client.
