Elevated diner food at a reasonable price. Always great service…read more We have been here multiple times for breakfast. The coffee is solid. Check out the cheddar chive biscuits. They are next level tasty. My fav main is the Steak & Eggs: homefries, 2 sunnyside eggs and toast. Lots of food and lots of flavor. Steak always comes as ordered (in my case med rare) and perfectly seasoned. Misc: atmosphere is a relaxed family vibe. Online to go orders via Toast at https://order.toasttab.com/online/showroom-882-n-east-street. Reservations are generally not necessary but can be made via Open Table.

We wanted a memorable place to mark the occasion and chose Showroom. I even noted both celebrations when making our reservation a week in advance. The hostess was friendly and kind, although clearer direction on where to wait would have helped. The front entrance was congested, and we felt like we were in everyone's way. Unfortunately, the service never matched the occasion. Our server never introduced themselves or acknowledged either celebration. They began taking orders without any engagement, and throughout the meal we were repeatedly unable to get their attention. I understand Sunday brunch is busy, but I work in a concierge-driven environment and was genuinely disappointed by the lack of hospitality. The food was mixed. The chicken and waffles and the omelet were good. My husband's steak was cold and the portion was very small. He ordered French fries but received unseasoned potatoes that lacked any flavor. My fish and chips were fine but also lacked seasoning, lemon, or any attention to detail. I specifically requested fries without Old Bay but received fries heavily coated in it. We also ordered a steak and eggs meal to go, which took about 30 minutes. When it was opened later, it contained only three small slices of steak. My brother-in-law genuinely thought he had been given someone's leftovers because the portion was so disappointing. My husband quietly paid the $300 bill while I still hoped someone might acknowledge the birthday or retirement with a simple mention, smile, or thank you. It never happened. We were never even offered a desert menu. We left without a goodbye or any acknowledgment from the staff. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we felt. We had many options in Frederick but chose Showroom because we expected a special experience. I could tell my family didn't want to complain because I had spoken so highly of the restaurant, but they were equally underwhelmed. Please do better.

The staff is kind and friendly like you've know each other forever. One of the owners, Joel even ventured out of the kitchen to make table conversations patrons and ask us how the special was. Now...this special was exactly that. A special treat of savory and decadent flavors seldom found in this area. Jägerschnitzel. a German dish featuring a pounded, breaded and fried meat cutlet (pork) topped with a rich mushroom gravy, often called "hunter's schnitzel ". It was amazing. Michelin star flavor. If you are a "Foodie", do not pass this place up.

We have been venturing to Dempsey's for several years for the good greasy breakfast food…read more But after the last visit, I am out. Why? Simple: Ridiculous expensive menu. $4 for a simple coffee? How about $3? $5 to add a protein to your omelette? How about $3? I'll be honest: I was annoyed by the presumptive pricing. You're not a five star breakfast place; you're a diner. Start charging like it. I wish Dempsey's the best if they can find the clientele to pay their prices. I won't be one of them. And I can imagine there are others who think like me but don't say anything. And you can think I'm being a cheapskate all you want. Everyone know what appropriate pricing looks like. And everyone has to watch their dollar, especially in the current economy. #reality Lower your prices and get the word out and people will come back. ‍
