I am giving one star just because this company finished the move without breaking any of my things. However, the quality of service was completely out of alignment with what Best Fit Moving company committed to in the contract. I also got overcharged by another company, who didn't have a contract with me and placed an incorrect amount on my credit card. To begin with, this move was contracted out to a third-party Finch Moving company without my consent. This has caused issues jn filing complaint before Best Fit claimed that they didn't do the move while Finch Moving claimed that they didn't commit to anything as they didn't have the contract with me. Three things that I want to state about this complaint : 1. The prolonged hours of service According to the moving experience I had before and my call with Best Fit Moving company, this move from one room of the 2b2b into a 1b1b should take around 3 hours. However, it took almost six hours(5 hours and 45 minutes) with me not requesting any extra protection of my furniture. I understand that it might take 1 hour to disassamble and assamble the bed and sofa, but I doubt 6 hours were reasonable. The movers also didn't come with suitable tools(no electric drillers but only regular tools). I also helped out with my friends to unwrap the blankets after the move to speed up the time. In addition, there is at least 15 mins where the movers left to get gas for their truck, which should not have happened during the move because it displays their lack of preparation before the move. 2. The quality of service: The movers did not come with 8 moving wardrobes, which was guaranteed to be part of the service in the reservation (attached). In addition, as I was communicating with the manager regarding the billing information, the manager threatened me to more hours if I do not provide him with my credit card information right away. At that moment, I lost trust in him because hr refused to subtract the time when the movers got gas from my billing. Also, his company didn't have a comtract with me and should not have charged my cresit card. However, I was pressured into telling him the credit information over the phone, which was uncomfortable and mortally humiliating. I felt very helpless when being threatened. This was not aligned with my expectation for this moving service. 3. The incorrect billing information The manager charged me $426.25 over the credit card and $420 in cash for the claimed 5 hours and 45 mins of service, which was incorrect. The $100 deposit taken by Best Fit Moving company should have been applied to the total amount according to the reservation, which did not happen. . I was not aware of the fact that my contract with Best Fit was outsourced to a different company. Given the service experience that I received, I reached out to both companies for resolution but didn't hear back for two weeks.

These guys have zero integrity. They tried to hide damaged items! Hired them for a move across the state, they did not honor their quote, and several items were damaged in the move, including my dining table. After affixing the damaged tabletop to the pedestal they stacked cardboard boxes on top to hide the damage! When I confronted Ernie, he blamed the other worker and admitted they agreed to lie to me about it. I also found I was missing a dozen or so clay pots - found those broken in the dumpster!! These guys are DISHONEST! When I called to notify the company and make a claim for my items I was brushed off by Antony. I emailed photos and info and was simply ignored! These guys are the absolute worst. They are not trustworthy. Find a more reputable moving service.

WORST company I've ever used. 2 of the movers were young kids with no experience or training. 1 said it was his first day. And they had NO tools. I had to let them use my tools. It took them forever to disassemble a simple bed because they didn't even have a screw driver. I called the office twice to complain and ask them to send tools, Julianna said she would look into it and call me back, still waiting, she never called me back...The guys told me the company does not provide them with any tools, they have to use their own. They also said the guy who was supposed to show up had the tools but he called in sick...This crew of teenagers had no sense of organization or purpose, slow and disorganized. This is not a professional moving company. 1 kid said it was his first day, he didn't know how to pick up a couch, they had to show him how to lift it...I overheard the kids laughing while telling their friends on the phone about all $ they were making for long hours and being paid UNDER the table. Then they incorrectly assembled 1 bed, which fell as soon as I sat on it. After another hour of watching the 3 of them dissemble and then try to reassemble a simple bed I finally told them to stop and leave as I would reassemble the bed correctly myself later as they were charging me $230 per hour. 2 small bedrooms and a living room, took them over 8 hours and they charged me $1800!!!!! When I protested to the office, they discounted 1 hour.... ABSOLUTELY THE WORST.

JAMES AND STEVE! Wow!! So glad I went with this team. As sad as I am to leave San Diego, I was moving 3years worth of "first time apartment" stuff. Dressers, bed, vintage items, collections, specialty foods, office supplies, computers, PLANTS! Soo much stuff in this tiny apartment. James and Steve were so quick, efficient, careful, and very nice. Pricing is worth the service you get. Please don't think twice about hiring them!! Their truck is large, they work quick and I am most appreciative about their attn to detail on sensitive items. They got all my stuff out within the hour and unpacked in the same time at my new house. They moved stuff upstairs, downstairs, they wrapped stuff, had supplies for securing an excellent move. They made my day so much easier! I will definitely be using them again!!!

UPDATE: I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau a few days ago. I was not surprised to see several other complaints and investigative inquiries conducted against these guys. The BBB called the company. Then the mover called me and continued to debate and justify his stance that some of my boxes were heavy and glassware needed packaging. Additionally, the one time the owner/manager, Jesus, personally called me was the night of the move. He was more concerned about collecting payment when the electronic point of sale was not working properly. they normally don't accept checks and he required I write on it, "will not bounce." I requested, through the BBB, that BestFit refund half of my payment and just charge for what normally would be a realistic five to seven hours. The company responded, advising that because I electronically signed the documents at the beginning and end of the move, I had no problem with the experience, and that the move went perfectly. The mover failed to show me if and where I could provide a complaint. Of course that's no excuse when conducted business, right? Recommendation: if you find yourself in a similar situation, do not sign the docs at the end. Is the company in its legal means to operate like this? Yes. Is it ethical? Absolutely not. The trending issue with this company is not its legal practices but rather ethical ones. They drag out the moves, and they cover themselves by requiring you to sign and agree to the time and labor clause at the beginning of the move. Yet, do those photos in my previous review justify 12 hours for a move? I'm not the only one with the same complaint. Despite not getting the money refunded, I'm glad my complaint against Best Fit's ethics-along with others-has been investigated and broadcasted for the world to see. To all of those who have been negatively affected by these guys-and there are many of us-feel free to look them up on the BBB's website.

If I could double the number of stars I would. I acquired a whole house full of furniture as a curb alert. (Nice estate, being liquidated immediately.) They showed up on the same day I called, all other companies needed 3 days advance reservation. Casey was professional and extremely courteous. The items were loaded with adequate padding secured, and unloaded directly into storage pods with the same company. The price was great. I requested Casey again fir my move from storage into a new apartment and he again provided excellent service. Juliana in the billing department answered every question with clarity and a kind and respectful attitude. She made sure I knew every savings option and opportunity. I will absolutely use Best Fit again.

The upstairs is even clean. You move your stuff into the storage and of course it gets dusty I can understand that but the infestation of rats is over the top. It was completely unsanitary in my storage unit when I moved my stuff out. Not only that I had throw away so many memories because they were covered with rat poop. There was also evidence of termites throughout the unit. But to be honest termites and spiders and bugs were my least concern. Of all the storage units I've ever had in my life I have never had a problems with rats. I do not have any food or anything that would attract them to my stuff. I didn't even want to get into my car after touching all my stuff that was just covered in this nasty stuff. A shower was the only thing I could think of. Unfortunately I would definitely not recommend this place unless you don't care about your items and don't care about rat poop all over your stuff. I would also say The lady that helps me when I came to move out was not very informative. Renting a U-Haul has never been such a pain. You usually walk in get the keys walk out check the truck and you're on the way. It took over an hour for this process. Do not rent a U-Haul from them. So after this long process I go to my storage unit to find it full of rat poop let me tell you moving out was not a fun thing. Also they don't have an elevator. I definitely give this place two thumbs down and I hope I don't get any diseases from touching and breathing in that toxic air. I should have taken photos, But I didn't even want to touch my phone. I hope the stuff that I did keep doesn't get me sick as well.

The two guys that are BFF that live there and run the place are weird and paranoid people. They are hyper aware and actually treat you like a robber when you enter the facility to see your own storage unit. The one guy was especially rude every time we came. Their unprofessional and make it awkward. Anyways, the unit itself was fine but the two guys would make a point to make us or others feel uncomfortable upon arriving to take or place items in the storage unit. They spy on you, like they want you to know they are watching you, as though you are invading their territory. Like....I get it-you live at the storage facility but people are paying for the space and you run a business. Icky vibes puts it nicely. Sorry guys.
