I was surprised to hear back from someone as it has been a little over 6 months since I moved. Jesus was kind and genuinely felt that I got a raw deal and did, in fact, mail me a check for the difference in price that I was initially quoted. I am leaving 4 stars because as I mentioned earlier it did take a really long time before hearing from anyone. Initially, the gal I spoke to was unable to resolve the matter and after she delivered the bad news (probably not her best delivery) heard nothing from her again although I asked for her manager to return my call. Truthfully, I am not sure what their damage control department allowed her to do, but at the end of the day Jesus came through. I appreciate his courage to call me back and make it right. read more

DO NOT HIRE BEST FIT MOVERS If you use this company, document everything with photos and videos from start to finish. We did -- and we are grateful we did. Our move with Best Fit Movers from Carlsbad to La Jolla turned into an exhausting, expensive nightmare involving damaged property, unprofessional behavior, and unauthorized charges. Major Issues We Experienced Movers were drinking beer and consuming edibles during the move. They unnecessarily repacked already-packed boxes into larger boxes, wasting space and increasing unknown, undisclosed material costs and extensive increased time. Boxes we had already sealed were reopened and excessively retaped without explanation. Furniture and inexpensive items were wrapped for hours despite us repeatedly asking them not to. Several items were damaged, including: A deep razor cut into our expensive dining room table Damage to an expensive art frame Damage to our buffet Small items were excessively shrink-wrapped, wasting materials and time. Heavy boxes clearly labeled for upstairs rooms were left in the garage because the crew did not want to move them. Two couches were also left in the garage after multiple instructions on where they belonged. No effort was made to protect the new home's flooring from dirt, water, or hand trucks. At the end of the move, they attempted to charge us nearly double the quoted amount. We were blindsided with almost $1,200 in "packing materials" charges despite already having nearly everything boxed ourselves. We were also told we were responsible for overtime and double-time labor charges -- something never disclosed beforehand. After paying cash, they still charged my credit card nearly $6,000 without authorization. What Happened We were quoted $239/hour cash pricing for: Two 27-foot trucks Three movers $75 fuel charge Double drive-time charge The crew arrived on time with four movers instead of three, which initially seemed like a positive. Early on, the foreman admitted no one from the company had visited the house beforehand and stated the move probably should have been scheduled over two days. We had 99% of our belongings packed and clearly labeled. We also provided specific loading instructions based on extensive prior moving experience and warehouse logistics knowledge. Those instructions were largely ignored. The crew repeatedly packed items we specifically told them not to touch, including landlord property set aside in the garage. They mixed unrelated items together randomly, including packing a desktop computer with automotive fluids. Things started efficiently but quickly deteriorated. After clearing the garage, productivity slowed dramatically. There was significant standing around, unnecessary repacking, and excessive wrapping of furniture we had specifically said did not require special treatment. The foreman spent nearly two hours wrapping and disassembling our dining room table to "protect" it -- only to cut deeply into it with a razor knife during unpacking. The Final Bill After a 15-hour move, much of our furniture and boxes were still left wrapped, misplaced, or dumped in the garage instead of the rooms clearly labeled for delivery. Then came payment. The crew attempted to charge us: Credit card pricing instead of the agreed cash rate Overtime and double-time labor fees never previously discussed Nearly $1,200 in packing material charges After arguing with dispatch and the foreman, we agreed to a final cash payment of $4,100 all-in, plus a $400 tip simply because it was late and we wanted the situation over. The next morning, Best Fit Movers charged my card nearly $6,000 anyway. We immediately disputed the charge with our bank and documented everything with photos, videos, and proof of payment. Final Warning We are now also dealing with damage claims, and communication from the company has already been poor and dismissive. I keep informing on this horrible moving company. Beware they will break your things and then offer pennies on the dollar as a refund. Even when they offer the refund they don't send you the funds. I am now pursuing small claims to get the ridiculous $200.00 they offered me for shattering my brand new $500 TV, scratching desk and night tables and other missing items, BUT THEY NEVER PAID WHAT THEY OFFERED. Almost immediately following the call, the driver came to the door and said "the company" told him to call the police on us: The idea that the company, after hanging up on me, would threaten me with police action was stunning and unbelievable. However, I welcomed the police visit since I felt we were being targeted and scammed by this company. The driver (who was instructed not to accept a cash payment of the balance since we wanted a receipt) left shortly thereafter, the police never showed up, and then I discovered Best Fit Movers tried three times to place unauthorized charges on my credit card. I am giving one star just because this company finished the move without breaking any of my things. However, the quality of service was completely out of alignment with what Best Fit Moving company committed to in the contract. I also got overcharged by another company, who didn't have a contract with me and placed an incorrect amount on my credit card. To begin with, this move was contracted out to a third-party Finch Moving company without my consent. This has caused issues jn filing complaint before Best Fit claimed that they didn't do the move while Finch Moving claimed that they didn't commit to anything as they didn't have the contract with me. Three things that I want to state about this complaint : 1. The prolonged hours of service According to the moving experience I had before and my call with Best Fit Moving company, this move from one room of the 2b2b into a 1b1b should take around 3 hours. However, it took almost six hours(5 hours and 45 minutes) with me not requesting any extra protection of my furniture. I understand that it might take 1 hour to disassamble and assamble the bed and sofa, but I doubt 6 hours were reasonable. The movers also didn't come with suitable tools(no electric drillers but only regular tools). I also helped out with my friends to unwrap the blankets after the move to speed up the time. In addition, there is at least 15 mins where the movers left to get gas for their truck, which should not have happened during the move because it displays their lack of preparation before the move. 2. The quality of service: The movers did not come with 8 moving wardrobes, which was guaranteed to be part of the service in the reservation (attached). In addition, as I was communicating with the manager regarding the billing information, the manager threatened me to more hours if I do not provide him with my credit card information right away. At that moment, I lost trust in him because hr refused to subtract the time when the movers got gas from my billing. Also, his company didn't have a comtract with me and should not have charged my cresit card. However, I was pressured into telling him the credit information over the phone, which was uncomfortable and mortally humiliating. I felt very helpless when being threatened. This was not aligned with my expectation for this moving service. 3. The incorrect billing information The manager charged me $426.25 over the credit card and $420 in cash for the claimed 5 hours and 45 mins of service, which was incorrect. The $100 deposit taken by Best Fit Moving company should have been applied to the total amount according to the reservation, which did not happen. . I was not aware of the fact that my contract with Best Fit was outsourced to a different company. These guys have zero integrity. They tried to hide damaged items! Hired them for a move across the state, they did not honor their quote, and several items were damaged in the move, including my dining table. After affixing the damaged tabletop to the pedestal they stacked cardboard boxes on top to hide the damage! When I confronted Ernie, he blamed the other worker and admitted they agreed to lie to me about it. I also found I was missing a dozen or so clay pots - found those broken in the dumpster!! These guys are DISHONEST! When I called to notify the company and make a claim for my items I was brushed off by Antony. I emailed photos and info and was simply ignored! WORST company I've ever used. 2 of the movers were young kids with no experience or training. 1 said it was his first day. And they had NO tools. I had to let them use my tools. It took them forever to disassemble a simple bed because they didn't even have a screw driver. I called the office twice to complain and ask them to send tools, Julianna said she would look into it and call me back, still waiting, she never called me back...The guys told me the company does not provide them with any tools, they have to use their own. They also said the guy who was supposed to show up had the tools but he called in sick...This crew of teenagers had no sense of organization or purpose, slow and disorganized. This is not a professional moving company. 1 kid said it was his first day, he didn't know how to pick up a couch, they had to show him how to lift it...I overheard the kids laughing while telling their friends on the phone about all $ they were making for long hours and being paid UNDER the table. Then they incorrectly assembled 1 bed, which fell as soon as I sat on it. After another hour of watching the 3 of them dissemble and then try to reassemble a simple bed I finally told them to stop and leave as I would reassemble the bed correctly myself later as they were charging me $230 per hour. 2 small bedrooms and a living room, took them over 8 hours and they charged me $1800!!!!! UPDATE: I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau a few days ago. I was not surprised to see several other complaints and investigative inquiries conducted against these guys. The BBB called the company. Then the mover called me and continued to debate and justify his stance that some of my boxes were heavy and glassware needed packaging. Additionally, the one time the owner/manager, Jesus, personally called me was the night of the move. He was more concerned about collecting payment when the electronic point of sale was not working properly. they normally don't accept checks and he required I write on it, "will not bounce." I requested, through the BBB, that BestFit refund half of my payment and just charge for what normally would be a realistic five to seven hours. The company responded, advising that because I electronically signed the documents at the beginning and end of the move, I had no problem with the experience, and that the move went perfectly. The mover failed to show me if and where I could provide a complaint. Of course that's no excuse when conducted business, right? Recommendation: if you find yourself in a similar situation, do not sign the docs at the end. Is the company in its legal means to operate like this? Yes. Is it ethical? Absolutely not. The trending issue with this company is not its legal practices but rather ethical ones. They drag out the moves, and they cover themselves by requiring you to sign and agree to the time and labor clause at the beginning of the move. Yet, do those photos in my previous review justify 12 hours for a move? I'm not the only one with the same complaint. Despite not getting the money refunded, I'm glad my complaint against Best Fit's ethics-along with others-has been investigated and broadcasted for the world to see. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. We hired this company to help move my 75-year-old mother (who has Parkinsons Disease, stage 3) from a studio apartment to a 1-bedroom apartment within the same complex. They sent 2 guys, who showed up on time, and seemed nice enough. They took about 5 hours to get everything done (a little long, but OK). The move was done, they charged our credit card and were getting ready to take off when my mother discovered that her watch was missing. My mom does not have many nice things, but the watch is one of her few prized possessions--she's owned it for almost 40 years. Of course, we immediately called the police, who came to the apartment and after a search of their vehicle, recovered the watch. We did not press charges, as we were only interested in recovering the watch (and not in sending someone to jail). Before leaving, the officer advised us NOT to pay for the move (a total of $700). We assumed that Best Fit Movers would in fact offer us some sort of credit back as an apology for putting us through the ordeal. Or at least call my mother to APOLOGIZE. I honestly think my mother would have been content to receive a call back from someone at the top to apologize. I would think that if this sort of thing never happens, the owner of the company would be mortified and call my mother (or instruct a senior manager to do so) to apologize profusely (i.e. "Oh my goodness, this is so embarrassing, this sort of thing NEVER happens, I hope that you will consider working with us again in the future," etc.). But nope. Nothing. In fact, it has been 48 hours, and we are STILL waiting for a call back from them. So not only have they refused to credit my mother back for services NOT rendered, but they can't even call her back?? After one of their employees tried to steal from her? The lack of communication (like not a call, email, text, NOTHING) has been even MORE troubling for her than the original attempted theft. Her health is fragile and this is the last thing she should have to be dealing with right now. Moving is stressful enough in her condition. So here is where we are. Best Fit Movers seriously mistreated a sick, 75-year-old woman, and continues to take advantage of her by ignoring her and refusing to answer her phone calls. While pocketing her money. Shady, shady, shady! Please note: Best Fit Movers insures items that are damaged or lost during the move based on the item's weight (and NOT the value). So if the watch hadn't been recovered, and she filed an insurance claim, they would have paid her out $0.60 for each pound--so for a $5,000 watch, their insurance would have paid her out UNDER $3. TOTAL. So if you have any valuable, lightweight items, prepare to have ZERO recourse if something is broken or goes missing. read more

I submitted my information through their website not realizing this was the same company. In the next 24 hours, I received 3 text messages, 1 pocket dial, 3 voicemails and 5 missed calls. I blocked the number because of how annoying the experience was and figured I'd take my business elsewhere. Yesterday I received a call from a rep named Diego, from a different number than the business line. I answered not realizing and then explained my frustration having received so many notifications. He proceeds to hang up on me. Today I received ANOTHER call from Diego. This was how the call went: I mentioned that he called me yesterday to which he responded "Ya but are you looking for movers?" AVOID this place if you want your to keep you sanity, not over pay, and not have your stuff treated terribly. They need to be put out of business. I'm being forced to sue them as they owe me $4983 in over payment, more in interest I shouldn't have had to pay, multiple days cost of accomdations as they never showed up on their confirmed and contracted delivery date, and more. HEED the poor reviews if you're reading this. Here's my story: They caused me incredible stress for 5 days trying to figure out a way to get all my good delivered to me while my wife and twin 4 year olds were in full panic we would never get our belongings. They extorted me for more money, broke my contract in multiple ways, and never once called me to tell me they weren't going to deliver my goods even though the sales manager confirmed my original delivery date the day before. On two occasions I was told drivers would deliver my goods on a specific day between 8-10am. No one called me to tell me they weren't coming, so I ended up having to call myself. Except the sales team isn't able to communicate anything so they say a supervisor will call you back, but they never did. On both occasions I made 6-8 phones calls across 8 hours only to hear dispatch doesn't see payment which I explain further below. They misquoted my long distance haul 3 times. They tried to force me to pay via cashiers check even though my contract said I could pay via Credit Card. They also forced me to pay in full upfront before they would deliver my stuff even though they had agreed to invoice me and pay via ACH. I was only able to get delivery because I found a way to pay via credit card on their site (which was the wrong amount but ultimately forced their dispatch to release the trucks to deliver). Because I overpaid by $4983 (I was forced to pay this via cc even though I had already paid via ACH) they owe me a refund and refuse to give it to me. Sales management uses the excuse that they have to run it by their supervisor or doesn't have authority. It's all lies to try and make me go away. They also damaged good, lost some of my good, and delivered items that are not mine. read more

If I could double the number of stars I would. I acquired a whole house full of furniture as a curb alert. (Nice estate, being liquidated immediately.) They showed up on the same day I called, all other companies needed 3 days advance reservation. Casey was professional and extremely courteous. The items were loaded with adequate padding secured, and unloaded directly into storage pods with the same company. The price was great. I requested Casey again fir my move from storage into a new apartment and he again provided excellent service. Juliana in the billing department answered every question with clarity and a kind and respectful attitude. She made sure I knew every savings option and opportunity. I honestly thought we would never seem them again, but I am pleasantly surprised. Thank you Best Fit for locating and returning the rails. Now the bed (Futon) is usable. Because of their response I would use them again. It took almost a month to resolve, but I am now a happy camper. read more

Updating my review due to customer service. They have made my concerns heard and valued and honored their five star ratings here on Yelp. -------- I am very sad about my dresser. There is a huge chunk taken out of the very center. This move was way more expensive than quoted, took four hours longer than quoted. The guys were super nice and friendly and worked hard. I'm not upset with them, just that a company is ripping people off at over $110/hour and then end up with damaged furniture. And I'm pretty easy going, but this made me really sad. I initially called Oceanside Local Movers - Or whatever their name was - that showed up on yelp and ended up with a call back from Best Fit. The fact that this company is actually BEST FIT MOVERS and they haven't updated their profile on here is sketch in itself. And with our recent experience, I'm not surprised. We used Best Fit Movers a handful of times while living in San Diego, and had wonderful experiences until this very last time. We called them again to help pack up our 1-bed room into rental truck (the same size that we used when we moved with them the first time - this will be important later) and was quoted $450 for two guys for two hours. The two men didn't arrive until hours after their timeframe, and never called to tell us they were outside. Once we noticed a truck sitting out there, we walked out to find them sitting in it on their phones - later we found out that they started out moving time and were billing us for this. They never walked through our house to review our things in order to assess how to best fit it in the truck. They didn't even bring their own tools to disassemble the large furniture we did have (only our bed). Most things were actually boxed and moved down to the garage ahead of time to try to help them - it was only big furniture left. We had to leave that night to drive back up north, so we were happy when they finally arrived in the afternoon. We don't have a big apartment and moving it has never taken more than 2-3 hours (especially bc we make sure everything is boxed before hand and moved to the garage). I started to worry when the time trickled on and 9.5 hours later, at 10pm, they tell us they couldn't fit everything into the truck and are leaving. They left our TV and large mirror STILL MOUNTED INTO THE WALL, multiple boxes, & outdoor furniture. They actually broke light fixtures in our house, without telling us - our cleaner notified us of all the glass that was HIDDEN in the house, that we had to pay for out of our rental deposit. They charged us $1K - and didn't even finish the job. My husband actually had to fly back down to SD the next day after we arrived up north, rent another u-haul and finish it himself. Turned around and drove back 8 hours again. When we tried to contact the company for help or even some acknowledgment that this was so f*'d up, they blew us off. Saying that we were lying (despite providing multiple photos of it all) and they believe their guys over us and that we rented the wrong size truck (also false, we rented the same size one and actually sold furniture - so we had way less things.) They will probably respond to this telling us we rented the wrong size truck and told the guys to prioritize the big things in the truck first which, again, is all lies. They never assessed what we did have (which is very normal in moving processes before actually packing the truck) - once I saw they put a peloton smack dab in the middle of the truck, I knew there was going to be issues. They literally threw our things in that truck. (again, much of it turned out to be damaged once we unpacked - our dresser, our peloton bike is now broken, and cracked mirrors.) On top of this, I was in my first trimester of pregnancy and didn't need the unnecessary stress. They stopped responding to us and we are now considering legal action. This company is such a fraud. Please, please, please don't use them if you value your things, honesty, and $$$. They should be put out of business for their customer service alone. read more

This company is also known as Best Fit Movers and are a COMPLETE SCAM. I had most of my stuff in clear plastic totes and they used miles of moving tape for no reason around each crate. All they had to do was stack them and tape once around the stack. They also charge for the "free" wardrobe box and the DOZENS of rolls of tape. "We are going to consolidate as much as we can to cut down on trips to the truck." It took them FOUR HOURS to load and FOUR HOURS to unload. I called in advance about my TV's and they said they have "free blankets." They didn't use them, they used MY bed comforters and towels. Completely unacceptable SCAM. They messed with the wrong person, as I am going to report their business "cash or credit" scam to the Feds and CA Labor Commission. Can't be trusted. I've hired 5 movers over the years and this company takes the cake for shady business practices. Contracts: From the start I should have known not to trust these guys. At pickup they make you sign a ton of forms on an iPad but intentionally zoom in so you can't read it and feed you lines like "this is just to get us started and it clocks the time." SPOILER: It's not, it's so you sign off all their liability stuff without giving it a second guess. They do the same at unloading. Prices: Gave a locked mileage rate +what they would cost hourly when we were shopping quotes. When they came to the location to deliver my items they decided they figured the mileage wrong even though they had both address at the start. All I got was complaining about how long the drive took as if we someone lied to them about where they were going. Clearly just a show to bill more. The miles are the miles and they searched it at the start. Nothing but a scam so I would accept their fake bid that they would not honor once they got to my location at the end. Hourly work: On top of this they intentionally took their time unloading to get paid more, while not even fulfilling what they promised. They never assembled half the furniture because they took so long and it was almost bedtime before they left. All boxes were clearly labeled where they went, color coded, and loaded to the truck in order, yet they somehow decided to mix it all and dump it as inaccessible as possible in the new place. Picture all your kitchen items being taken to the back bedroom then walled off by all the other boxes. ***why is this baffling to me? Because I have NEVER had a mover take longer to unload a truck than load it. This was from a second floor unit to a second floor unit and they were disassembling and packing items at the starting location.*** Damage: These guys not only damaged large amounts of my stuff, they try to hide it. Boxes that were badly damaged were intentionally placed at the back so I wouldn't see them until much later. Damaged furniture they tried to cover with other items. They even destroyed and threw away some of my stuff rather than tell me. I know what you're thinking, they are insured so if stuff is damaged you can just make a claim - yeah right. They insure $0.60 per lb for your furniture. When I called to report the problems I got nothing but rude combative employees. It took multiple calls and at one point one employee laughed at me because they knew their insurance is BS and it's not going to be worth my time to fight them. I had thousands in damage from them and if I were to continue with claims I could probably get a few hundred dollars back after weeks of work on my part. They also billed far more than was agreed upon at the start. Learn from my mistake. Find ANY other moving company. I now understand why lots of people don't trust movers. Wish I could give them negative stars. Worst movers ever, broke two items, took so long that we started helping them to move them along. Complained the whole time. Their truck broke so they took 2 hours extra and charged us for it. Took several '10 minute breaks' and left us with a disassembled bed frame that they said they would reassemble. I Understand moving might make some searches on the wall and furnitures. I just found out pretty big hole on the wall back they left my house. I pay them cash and still not received the receipt. I call mover and message but no one reply me. I email to their office has no one reply. Email them the photos after talk to customer service during the weekday then no one follow up with us. I have to keep email them and asking. Yap, it end up they told me I did sign waver not wrap it. I have only one bed and night stand need to move 2nd floor. All others are boxes to 2nd floor. The worst moving service I have EVER experienced. They broke two of my items, scratched my handrail and chipped the drywall off two separate walls. They told me to file a claim to get it fixed with them and I've been tryin to file a claim for two weeks now. Not only are they not apologetic and very unresponsive, but have told me multiple times they will call me back to help me file the claim and I haven't heard a thing. I'd never hired movers before so this whole experience was new to me. A friend recommended Best Fit Movers so I gave them a call. They pulled up my friend's record and set me up with the exact same crew! Derek, KC, and Joseph were great. Derek was my contact for the most part, and communicated with me throughout. KC was also very personable. They are all professional and, when they met my mom during the move, it was obvious they respect their elders. They showed up within the appointed time frame and at first glance I thought there was no way these guys could muscle my furniture the way they did. They took care to pad and wrap it all, and assembled everything (3 beds and a buffet) at the destination in no time at all. They all had great attitudes and made the hard work look fun. They got done in five hours what would have taken me five days (or more if I'm being honest.) I hope to never move again for the rest of my life but if I do, I'll call them first. The experience was okay until Kona & Julianna did not respond to my messages of promising $350 back to me for a broken dresser mirror. And to sum it all up, a month after I used this service, another charge popped up on my account for the same amount of $1,350. The amount of info I know about this company and how they are illegally running it, I'll be sure to write my reviews. UPDATE 6/7/21 Finally received my $350 for my $1,000 damaged mirror but a price came with it. Somehow they managed to charge me another $1,3000 straight out of my bank account. Patrick has now been working with me stating he has made refunds to me but also saying I owe him the money back now. WOW!! Am I seriously using my time away from my family to protect myself and my account right now! Thank goodness Bank of America has blocked this company but to even have to fight for my money back with them and my bank is upsetting in itself. I was completely understanding when the first charge was made but for continuous charges for the same amount when I never even used my credit card for payment other than using it for my $100 deposit. Amazaing! PLEASE SEE PROOF of the email below to show others that this company literally put my credit card on a reoccurring payment & proof of email from my bank shows that I had to request to cancel it!!!!! To make matters even worse, now Patrick is harassing me with multiple calls and threats about taking ME to court. I am completely baffled by this but after reading several reviews I'm now seeing this is a trend. We ended up also learning after the move that all 3 beds were not bolted and just left loose hanging onto the frame. Thank goodness an accident of the beds collapsing on top of one of our children or pet while they go under the beds occasionally. Original moving company couldn't get me the dates that I wanted, so Best Fit took over. They were very communicative. The three guys were very, very helpful! The Good, Bad & Ugly ! My first suggestion for anyone is NOT to pay these people in cash because if you have an issue about something it's impossible to have it resolved. The Good - The 3 guys got everything moved with minimal damage and they were friendly enough. The bad - The salesperson booking our move said that it would take 4-6 hours for a 2 bedroom townhouse and it ended up being close to 8 hours. Mind you my wife and I moved all the clothing, all the garage stuff and moved all the kitchen stuff ourselves and we boxed up everything with the exception of the TV. Also I told them I'm moving from a 3 story townhouse to a 2 story townhouse and they failed to write that up and in fact they stated they were moving ground level units. They told us they would bring a 26 foot truck and they showed up with an 18-20 foot truck which required an extra trip. Ugly - The customer service is ugly, they are headstrong and in your face even if they are wrong. Example: They provide moving blankets so your stuff doesn't get damaged, when they start they immediately start padding everything and shrink wrapping the heck out of everything and tapping things up.. I thought this is great and everything is protected. At the end of the move they charged for 7.75 hours AND $250 for 3 rolls of shrink wrap and 5 rolls of tape. WOW! Im like I dont feel like that was disclosed or even offered, I mean I'm glad everything was protected but dont you think you should tell people what you charge for that before? The head mover called the boss and this guy was super headstrong, did not bend and said we 100% told you the cost..Well you didn't tell me the cost or we would not be having this conversation- He says we have it recorded..I'm like great let's hear it. He put me me on hold, 3 movers sitting in my driveway for 20 minutes waiting and guess what...No tape can be pulled up. I tell him I'll pay everything but the extra $250 and when we can clear it I'm happy to pay for whatever was disclosed. His reply " pay everything now or I'm calling the police '' I said go ahead! Instead of calling the police he tells the head mover they are charging my CC. I ended up paying to get the guys and the truck out of the driveway. I called the customer service the next business day and they go with the same claim and say we have it on tape and we did disclose it..I asked to listen to it with them several times and they simply dont reply to the request. Oh yeah they damaged my dryer ( they made right and paid for it), they damaged some walls and for this they said it was me who damaged them when I helped the guys not drop the dresser on his head.. Here is the other thing, when you sign the contract they dont send you a copy of it or the paid receipt. They were so fast at moving they almost finished my neighbors place (who I didn't know was moving out at the same time) by mistake before they were supposed to start at my place. Definitely would use them again! *** Update after drop off/delivery - reduced review to 3 stars from 5 stars The billing and drop off was less than smooth. There was an issue with the booking, where my pick up and drop off were billed as two separate requests. It took me a while to get this resolved with billing department. The team they used again was fast, they moved all my stuff in very quickly, but were a little later coming in that I expected. I was expecting them at 8-10 am, and they came at 1300. Nothing was damaged or lost in the move, and the billing department worked with me to resolve the overcharge due to the double reservation. read more

The day we planned for movers to come, there was a huge debacle because the assigned movers for our move did not show up to work that day and it was really hard for the company to pick up the slack for the inconvenience that was caused. I do not blame the company for that, however it did take a toll on our plans and we had to push the move to a later date. The group that came for our new move-in date were great and very professional! Nothing was broken and they were kind and easy-going through the whole process. They really killed it! As far as billing goes, I recommend that the purchaser look into the finances and see if they can get a final estimate based off all of the fees and such that go along with the bill. We underestimated how long it was going to take to move everything and there were a couple extra charges that we were not aware that were apart of the billing. The charges all made sense, but if you are planning on paying cash, I recommend trying to get as close of an estimate as possible and pull out extra money just in case you get the math wrong on their hourly rate. read more

We request and had confirmed that we would have 8 movers. They sent 4 guys instead and it took over 12 hours to move me and my wife to our new home 20 minutes away. The guys were great but over worked and a bunch of stuff got broken. When they asked for credit card at 10:30pm I said I'd rather discuss the discrepancy with management first and pay the next day. I was told that if I didn't pay right then, the policy was to confiscate my most valuable items until I paid. It was late and we were all tired so I reluctantly paid figuring we could work it out in the morning. It's now been almost 3 weeks, I've left many voicemails and claims department won't get back to us. Moving is hard enough when it all goes well. Now I've got to deal with this mess. I used Best Fit for our recent move, and will never recommend nor use them again. Here's why; Important details- I booked 3 movers for their 3 hour minimum. My distance between properties was roughly 11-13 minutes. 90% of my home was already packed in boxes and movers didn't need to do any additional packing. 1- my stuff was literally thrown into rooms during unloading. And yes I know it was thrown because some of the baskets were upside down and everything in it was now on the floor or somewhere in the pile of my other stuff that was placed in the center of the room. 2- when originally bidding the job out, I asked what exactly the quote included and was told there was no drive time since the properties were so close together, and that moving of the TV's were included and protected. I also asked if there were any additional fees I prepare for, and was told "no". When the movers arrived, they said it would take at least 7 hours and the tv's were an additional $20 each because of boxes and if I didn't want them to use boxes they aren't liable for any damages. 3- DAMAGED ITEMS- my daughter has a play kitchen (valued at $300) that was not handled properly, resulting in damage to the item, minor damage her electric toy car, and 80% of my dish wear was broken.. and the box WITH my dish wear clearly said GLASS and was obviously not handled with care. 4- since they were no longer transporting my tv's they seemed to be careless with nuts and bolts from detaching them from the TV mounts, resulting in us missing bolts and needing to replace or buy a new tv mount if we cannot find them. 5- I found it odd that They told me the move would take 7 hours off top and ended up getting it done in about 3, only one of the 3 movers that came seemed to have the customers best interest and was really moving! The other two seemed to leisure around, and not really seem to have the drive/energy to do the move.. There were many other small things I didn't expect or appreciate from a company I chose instead of going with personal references, but the listed above are my top 5.. my quote given at first was nowhere near what I had to pay.. I called to speak with the manager the day of and was told I would get a call back and over 24 hours later, still nothing. It seems the company doesn't care once they've collected their money and are definitely not honest. read more
