There are some true horror stories about unscrupulous craftsmen. I'm careful about who comes into my home. I'm careful about who I hire. These guys are young, but they know their business. Their quote was more than fair and reasonable and their work was perfection. When they came out to evaluate the project and come up with an estimate, we discussed everything in detail, they had great suggestions and really listened to what I wanted done. I got several bids and went with these guys. I was putting in a farmhouse sink and had to have the cabinet modified. To make sure everything would fit perfectly, Daniel came back out and measured again after the cabinet was cut and the sink put in. They even ended up correcting some of the work the cabinet guy did. So listen, these are professional craftsmen who are fairly priced, on time, efficient, and honor their word. They take pride in their work. You're not going to go wrong if you hire them.

As you will note, we have a very, very modest home. While we were still able, we decided to have a…read morebit of remodeling done... a new bathroom with a walk in tub, cabinetry in the den, and new counter tops in the kitchen and laundry room. We also had a few other areas addressed but these were the major changes. Tom, the owner of Albrecht and Son, came out and sketched our a plan for each room. The remodel was a long and tedious process but we made it through. I was impressed with most of the workers (the superintendent needs a vacation) and the completed work was very, very nice... except the counter tops in the kitchen. Lee's Tapps Counter Tops, LLC installed the granite. Our selection came from the showroom at Albrecht's but the actual rock came from Tapps. They installed it and then they left. For weeks afterwards, no matter how many times I cleaned it, there was a gritty feeling on it, morning, noon or night. I reported this but Tapps never offered to replace it. Instead they simply implied that it was either dirty or it was my imagination. Eventually, I stopped talking about it. When the entire remodel was done, and everyone was paid, Tom asked me if I was happy. He really wanted me to be happy. You have to love that guy. I told him that every time I ran my hand over the granite, I cried. He then set me up with a different company and let us select the slabs of our choice. I know he lost money on this deal but I have to give him credit. He is a true professional and I recommend his company without reservation. I would have given them 5 stars but the superintendent's attitude and the cabinet makers lack of concern about the "little things" deserve the loss of at least one star. Trust me, if you are honest and up front with Tom, he will take care of you. I've posted a few pictures of the end results. We began our process after contacting Jake Gonzales, owner of DVC. He came and saw our house and what our project would entail. Next we went to the showroom and began the process of picking out materials and discussing our budget. He and his associate Brittany then compiled a list of the materials and the approximate final cost which we then made a second visit to the showroom to finalize everything before Jake and Brittany would do the ordering. Once the materials arrived we began the actual remodel. At this point we were turned over to Dom, Jake's son, who would be the project manager for the entire project. The remodel took roughly 3 weeks and Dom along side his associate Tristan were there almost everyday to supervise the work. The two of them were polite, considerate, knowledgeable and well-mannered. The subs that were hired (ie. plumbing, countertops and installation of cabinets) were exceptional. The day the countertop crew arrived I believe they were in and finished in just a few hours with everything exactly as it should be. All subs were also extremely respectful to my husband and myself, with each group completing their tasks in a timely manner. Dom and Tristan ALWAYS let us know in advance when they or subs would be arriving to work and all were always on time. We could not asked for a more pleasant experience and would absolutely hire them again for future projects.

The whole experience from quote to completion was outstanding. Their quote may have been a little higher than others we received however they did everything, where as others would not. Communication was done via e-mail so everything was in writing and could be referred back to. It was so nice to hand them our keys this spring and come back this fall to a new kitchen and ceilings. We had a few phone conversations throughout the remodel and they provided photos of their progress. Upon our return we found a very clean house (popcorn removal is a messy job) and just a couple of very minor details which were promptly addressed. We delayed having cabinet pulls and a light installed so we could match them to the finished kitchen. We were so glad we did as this gave us an opportunity to meet a couple of the nice guys that had done much of the work. We were able to see first hand how carefully they prepped and covered the work area to protect things and skillfully worked on putting the finishing touches to our beautiful new kitchen. This gave us a large utility room with a closet, sink and storage. We also moved a wall, giving us a larger dinning room and a separate TV room, replaced a glass sliding door with a single French Door. They also replaced the tile and carpet with Luxury Vinyl Flooring, installed ceiling fans and can lights. All doors and casings were replaced and painted along with the whole interior of the home. The office staff was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. We really appreciated Lindsey's suggestions when picking out countertops and stain for the laundry room cabinets. Per our contract timeline all the work was done in the time frame presented to us.
