I took the love your camera introductory course with Matt in the Boston Commons. He was really knowledgeable and really excellent at breaking down all of the modes and controls into easy to understand and remember lessons. I had tried to teach myself on my own prior to the class via the internet and found it all very difficult to understand, remember, and to implement. He broke all of the same concepts down into easy lessons that made it so I feel like I can fairly quickly adjust my camera completely manually and take quality pictures. There's additional practice to master it, but he gave all the tools to get there. Its was a miserably cold winter day, so we were lucky to have a group of 3 people (and a small enough group to spend a lot of time in a coffee shop nice and warm). Matt was able to give a lot of personal attention and answer all the questions I could think of. I can't recommend the class enough for a beginner. read more

So months after I originally planned to take the class I show up at the meeting point and the instructor no showed!!! Steer clear of these scammers. I purchased and unlimited class pass from this company in the winter of 2015 entitling me to unlimited classes until the summer of 2016. To date, I have signed up for 10 classes of which 9 have been cancelled (11/25/15, 12/5/15, 12/17/15, 1/21/16, 4/7/16, 4/27/16, 5/7/16, 5/19/16, 5/26/16) and the one that was conducted started late and ended over an hour early. I have tried reaching out to this vendor via email (4/1/16, 4/8/16, 4/14/16, 5/11/16) and by phone (4/14/16, 4/22/16) and have received no response from them despite many attempts. Remember Forever Photography continues to allows students to register for classes and cancels them with little to no notice and clearly no refunds. Buyer beware DO NOT purchase anything from this company. I've reached out to GroupOn as well as Remember Photography sells their services on their site. If I could give 0 stars I would. I spent three months trying to take a class with them after buying a year long unlimited classes membership. Four times I signed up for a class and four times it was canceled at 8:59am when the class was at 9am. So I had already taken the train into the city and was sitting at the park waiting for my class to start. This continuously happened and I could not get a hold of anyone over phone or email, Despite the fact that they had no problem answering when I wanted to buy something. I finally began requesting a refund and was ignored until I finally disputed the charge with paypal who opened the claims process and refunded me. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!! 9am, Saturday morning, Early Feb, OUTSIDE in the Boston Commons for 3 hours, seems like a set up for a disaster... totally not. I had a groupon and took the 'love your camera, love your photos' class. The class was GREAT. We lucked out and it was actually pretty nice out the day of our class. The instructor Matt was really awesome. He was very knowledgeable and made us laugh the whole time. He also explained everything so we, as complete beginners, would understand. He started by having us take our 'last picture in auto', then took us through the different camera modes (having us take pictures in each) and ended with us taking pictures in manual. Awesome. I purchased a Groupon for a photography class with Remember Forever, which has been rescheduled 4 times. they're still "looking to hire" a new teacher, so there is no promise of a class in the near future. I purchased this Groupon in order to take a photography class before the summer; it is now almost July. I first signed up in May which was rescheduled, as was another one in May, and one in June. They have me a few dates to reschedule, but none worked for me and I asked for a refund. I have now emailed the merchant 3 times asking for a refund and have not received any type of response. I booked a workshop (meaning I already paid) which would be held in January 2016. A couple days before the workshop, they e-mailed me the class was canceled due to insufficient bookings. They offered a make-up class which would be held in March in the same e-mail. That's fine. But, no one (even instructor) showed up in the make-up class. Hello, I am kind of disappointed that I don't even settle my photography class and I have been having some issues. I don't know why needs to be so difficult with the technology to get someone to answer my questions or make contact with someone of this company. I went to the website looking for an email or telephone number and when I click in that option nothing happens . After that I just could get an email. I send emails and nobody have answered them. After that I found out in Yelp website there is a phone number so I called and it doesn't work. After that I send a message through the Yelp site and I haven't received and email back. I mean, I love photography and I have been trying to set an appointment to the night class. Y also bought my tipod for this exclusive class! I already bought like one or so months ago my class on groupon. When I tried to set the appointment in Yelp it just ask me for my credit card. I have already my groupon. I've been looking to take a photography class for some time, since it's a hobby of mine, but I've just been winging it technically. I read great reviews from other cities, so I thought that I'd give Remember Forever a shot when a Living Social deal popped up. I'm so glad I did it! I enjoyed a great morning on the Common with a group of about 15 others - all ages, all types of cameras. Matt is a fantastic teacher - engaging, patient and very knowledgable. I only wish that the intro class was longer or broken up over a few sessions - it was a lot to take in in 3 hours. I hope to take advantage of some of the other Remember Forever offerings as they get established here in Boston. read more

I got a groupon for one of the basic courses, so I chose the love your camera, love your photos class. I reluctantly signed up for a Saturday morning, 9am class, but failed to do so before winter hit. This meant my class took place in Boston Common in 10 degree weather. I couldn't hack it through the whole class, I left about a 1/3rd or the way through because I was too cold. Matt was going over all the things I had always wanted to accomplish with my dSLR camera, but didn't know how to do before. I wish I was not too wimpy to stay out in the cold and learn more. I registered for 2 classes using Groupons. The first was a night photography class. I got multiple confirmation emails, including one a few days before the class with instructor information and meeting location. I showed up early, and by the time the class was supposed to start, no one else was there. I called the instructor listed in the confirmation email, and she told me she hadn't worked for the company for 2 months. I'll keep this short and sweet: My class was canceled with NO notice (9am class canceled by EMAIL at 8:59am). And was relying on it to prepare me for an upcoming trip. I volunteer for a small non-profit that supports a free preschool abroad, and want to be able to take quality pictures of the school and the children when I am there for the organization to use for communication and promotional purposes. After the class was canceled, as disappointed as I was, I was still hoping to reschedule and take A CLASS before I left. Now, after 10 days of no response, I am just hoping to get my money back and warn others of my experience. I have tried every way I can think of to get in touch with them. On their website, I can't find a physical office in Boston to visit in person, there is only one US phone number, and when you call it, they tell you "no one is manning the phones, email us." I really feel I have no choice but to write honestly about my experience, although I rarely write reviews, and have NEVER written negatively about a person or company online. I took the 3 hour class on "People, Children and Your Family" with Matt. He took time to understand where I was at as a photographer and geared the class towards my strengths and weakness.
